10/10 would recommend! Wife and I had just moved into a new place in Ames, and needed a whole new kitchen sink drain. The team and individuals at Ben Franklin are amazing, professional, and very patient and kind. They show up on time, and take care to answer any questions. Also, Im pretty sure they left my basement cleaner than when they got here. If you are still reading this, just one question, why havent you called them yet?! You wont be disappointed!!

I received an annual inspection of my plumbing system through their club membership program and feel reassured about my homes’ continued maintenance. I am not located in Ames, but my property which needed some work done is in Ames. Josh clarified the repairs I asked to be completed and he kept me informed of the work he completed. Josh worked quickly and efficiently. Most of the work he was doing was fixing someone elses mistakes. We asked Josh to take a look at something else we needed his expertise on and he said it is working well at this time and did not need to be replaced at this time. More importantly, he gave us an estimate for what the repairs will cost us when we need them to be done in the future. I highly recommend Josh and Ben Franklin Plumbing of Ames.

Paige came to my house to fix two things on a toilet and something with my washing machine. She was very kind, courteous and professional. She answered my questions and was great, even when I interrupted her work to ask her stuff. Shes good at her job and if I were her boss, she would definitely be a valued employee. We even had a conversation about eating healthy food before she left, since we discovered that were both into clean, preservative-free eating. Haha anyway Paige is great at what she does and seems to be a great person

After struggling for close to a week to get other plumbers to come check out my water heater, Benjamin Franklin got a technician to my house in under an hour after calling. Chris and Josh went above and beyond service expectations and replaced my water heater in just a couple of hours. The pricing was fair, any the technicians were friendly. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to get work done in their home.

We have been using Benjamin Franklin Plumbing of Ames before we built our current house. They did all the plumbing, heating and air conditioning maintenance for our house when it was built in 1994.We have only had two bad experiences, quite a long time ago. But, two bad experience in 10,950 days is a pretty solid reputation.The staff and technicians are always friendly and super helpful. They even installed all of our new kitchen appliances when we remodeled.I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. They are fair and honest, something you dont always experience in this day and age.

He was great. Notification that he was on the way. Protected our floor by covering his shoes. We only had one problem; tub drain had enough hair in it to slowdown the draining. He had me come up to see it so that I would know to clean it out more often. He was very courteous.

I have used Ben Franklin for as long as the company has been in Ames. When I had a major repair a few years ago- installing new water service - Chris was part of the team. He made what might have been a bad experience into one that was as pleasant and efficient as it could have been. I have asked for him to be my plumber ever since. He is skilled, efficient, and unfailingly positive. Yesterday he installed a new sink and faucet in my new home, and gave me good advice on dealing with fixtures in the house Ill need to maintain. Hes terrific!

This week we had Paige Petersen updated multiple shutoff valves, installed a new bathroom shower valve with a new cartridge, and a new faucet. She did a fantastic job worth five stars or more! We recently experienced a plumbing emergency in our home when a sump pump failed during a severe storm and rain event. My wife and I were bailing water trying to prevent our basement from flooding when we called Ben Franklin Plumbing. The service they provided and in particular our plumber, Logan, was outstanding and saved us money, time, and a couple of very sore backs!• Timeliness: Logan’s response time was outstanding. Despite it being in a storm event, the company let us know when we could expect Logan literally within hours of the call. This rapid response was crucial in preventing further water damage to the property.• Communication: Throughout the emergency, Logan maintained excellent communication, keeping us informed of his progress and any changes in the estimated time or cost. This communication was reassuring during the event.• Follow-Up: After the initial repair was completed, Logan followed up that night(!) to ensure the repair was OK during a second round of storms. This level of customer service is, again, outstanding. We couldn’t recommend them more for any plumbing service needs your family may have!

This is my 3rd time using Benjamin Franklin and everytime, the service has been Outstanding. He was able to pinpoint the problem right away and didnt charge an arm and leg for the repair. While performing the service we hired him for, he found a leak we were not even aware of and fixed it on the spot saving us money and other repairs from damage that we would have had to have done down the road. He was a very friendly and extremely knowledgeable young man. I will recommend them to anyone needing a good plumber and we plan to use them in the near future for some other preventative plumbing issues.

Our water tank died in the middle of a snowstorm and we were left with no water in the morning. They sent out a plumber to us within 2 hours, and by noon, everything was fixed! Today, Dustin helped us with a problem with a floor drain in our basement/funky smell. Not only did he know exactly what the issue was & how to fix it (within seconds of looking at it), he took his time to look at everything thoroughly & made sure there would be no more issues when he left. He patiently answered all of the questions we had about the drain issue, as well as some questions we had about our water heater. Called Ben Franklin plumbing and received call back from NATO within 20-30 minutes detailing approximate cost and arrival time. Then got a text with his picture saying he was on his way. He was polite and friendly and wore shoe covers. Had the sink unclogged within thirty minutes and checked for leaks. Price was a little high but it was after hours. Hope Nato gets more when he’s out at night . Prompt friendly service. Hope I don’t have to use them but if I do I would without hesitation.

I have a service contract with Benjamin Franklin. This was my annual full house check. One of my faucets had low water pressure, Dustin cleaned out the pipe and replaced shutoff valve. Now I have excellent pressure and was happy to hear there was no charge. I will continue my service contract with them and have all my plumbing work done by Benjamin Franklin. Highly recommend!

A large water leak developed at an old elbow joint between copper and steel piping in the basement. The service technician (Chris) surveyed the problem, described the best way to repair it, and carried out the repair quickly. He also did a similar repair at a second location involving a complicated 3D copper/steel pipe joining geometry that was slightly leaking and likely to fail in the future. Both repairs together with an estimate for a possible future water heater replacement were completed in under an hour. I was very pleased with all aspects of the work and with Chriss knowledge and friendly demeanor.

I found Scott to be very knowledgeable and explained everything about replacing the sump pump and had the cost on his tablet, he also talked about having a battery operated backup system installed also. Also said that since we are in winter and probably wont be getting heavy rains that I could wait until February for installation of which ever product I chose.
