    My hot water heater went out after another company came in to fix a busted pipe. Looking for quotes AKD came out and assessed the situation. The serviceman spoke to (not at me) explaining exactly what he saw taking pictures he sent to the owner. Based on their assessment, they have filed a warranty claim on my behalf.Regardless of whether the warranty claim goes through, their effort in helping me is a testiment to their commitment to their customers.

    New kitchen and lots of updates on a new to us 20 year old home. Scott w/ AKD was a perfectionist. He came out several times during the reno and every time we were very happy with all of his work - plumbing, faucets, showers, new toilet, lots of caulking and help w/ hooking up new appliances. Keeping his contact for a future master bath reno. Highly recommend!

    Their representative was able to come early and promptly did the test on our BFP, cleaned up the area, and was on their way to their next appointment shortly after. My only complaint would be that they use the proper size wrench in stead of channel locks which chew up the brass plugs on the BFP.

    I own a business in Des Moines, IA but have recently started doing some work in Ames. I tried contacting multiple plumbers in Ames for some emergency work to be done and could not get a response from anyone until I came up on AKD Plumbings Google Page. They responded immediately, sent someone out within a couple of hours, got the water heater and boiler detached and cleaned up after themselves!Since then Ive had them back out to the same property a couple of times and their response time is great, their prices are very reasonable, and theyre just a great group of people! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
