    Unironically the best experience Ive ever had. Im a first time homeowner and new to the area, and Jacob was not only kind and extremely thorough with explaining everything, and honest about what needed to be fixed versus what could wait, but he was also super excited to share details of the area and recommendations about attractions to check out! He fixed my electrical issue quickly, went out of his way to look at another area of concern and went above and beyond in terms of being professional, thorough, and kind. I cant highly recommend AG Electrical enough! Booking an appointment was also super easy, and being able to call after hours was nice for someone like me who works odd hours and cant always get a phone call in before 5.

    Jacob and his partner were fantastic. I got myself into a pickle changing a light fixture in our old house and they didnt just help me fix my mistake, they also taught me how to avoid it again and about the kind of wiring that was in my home. I felt so relieved and confident with them here helping. Best of all, I called with a problem and they came the following day. I will call again if I run into a problem (though hopefully not too soon!)

    I had such a wonderful experience with my technicians Benny and Nicholas. They took the time to walk through all of my concerns and explain all the nitty gritty of how things work and what to expect. They quoted and installed my ceiling same day and were able to deal with the very complicated electrical situation created by one hundred year old wiring vs modern fans. They were extremely professional and happy to discuss any electrical questions I had and brainstorm for future work. I’m excited to work with them again :)

    Old house with old wiring. We picked AG because they had troubleshooting high on their list of services they offered as opposed to house re wiring that a lot of other electrician companies have on their websites. We didn’t want to be sold re wiring as a first solution. Jacob showed up on time, found the cause of our outage in our old quirky little house and had us up and running quickly. Highly recommend AG.

    AG promptly responded to an emergency call late on a winter evening when we lost our lights and heat. It turned out to be a difficult job involving many areas of the house and coordination with the power company. AG worked hard to take care of it all- it was completed as smoothly and quickly as possible. They also provided guidance and documentation when we reported the issue to our insurance company, so we were able to get our money back. We were really happy with the service, and will definitely use them again in the future.

    Jon did an absolute stand up job for us. We had to call in an emergency request because our power was flickering on and off. Dispatch said he’d get there between 12-4 PM, and he arrived at 9:30 AM. Was very friendly and was beyond knowledgeable about the situation at hand and then more importantly what needed to be done. He explained in great detail but so that a non electrician can understand. Coordinated with Pepco and other utility companies to get the job done. Was here until 7 PM and everything is working perfectly afterwards. Can not recommend him enough. 10/10. Will be requesting him anytime we need something done now!

    Jon (and his team) from AG Electrical came out for an emergency repair at our home on a Friday at 4pm during a late summer heat wave. He and his team were able to get us up and running within 5 hours. A few days later, AG came out again to complete the scope of work. We just passed our final inspection with the county and Jon was nothing short of amazing and helpful! We are now in process of getting quotes for additional work to our home and we highly recommend AG Electrical to anyone for their professionalism, quick turnaround, and high quality of work.

    Their service tech arrived as scheduled, fixed the problem by replacing light switch, and also advised me about whole house surge protector (which I wanted even before talking to him; my townhouse was built before this was code). All at a very reasonable price. Also gave estimate on later jobs, and I will use AG for those as well. Very happy and would recommend using.

    Extremely professional company from the receptionist who helped schedule my appointment to the technicians who actually installed the fixtures. I had to change my appointment at the last minute and they were very accommodating - they scheduled me for the next business day! When Benny and Matt arrived they were very efficient and adept. They completed the job in, what seemed like, record time. And they even offered to haul away the old fixtures and the packaging from the new ones. Very pleased with the entire operation. Will definitely use them again.

    Benny and team were very responsive and worked hard to upgrade our whole (new to us) house that had not been touched in 60+ years, imagine! They have a call center 24 hours and are able to respond in emergent situations which is very helpful and reassuring.     After my wife heard a crackling sound coming from an outlet in our dining room, I looked at it and discovered the wire was burnt to a crip. Called AG to have them take a look. Benny came out and replaced it and after an inspection of our panel discovered it needed to be replaced because it was so old the breaker didnt trip when it should have (major fire hazard). We had them replace the panel and all of our worn out wall sockets and switches. They did all the work in two days with no interference with me working from home. Highly recommend.

    Benny was professional and completed the electrical work I requested in a timely fashion. When he was done, he cleaned up and provided an estimate regarding some services I may be interested in pursuing in the future. Overall it has been a pleasant experience with the company thus far. They appear to be very organized and have great procedures in place. You receive a phone call and an automated text message when your electrician is on the way. A picture is included so that you know who to look for if you dont immediately see the company vehicle. If you need something done, I would consider giving them a chance.

    Benny and Hunter are a great team. On time, professional, high- quality work for a reasonable price. They discovered several dangerous problems in our homes 25-year-old electrical system, gave us options for how to proceed, and promptly remedied our problem. They ended up replacing our main electrical panel and the houses surge protector, to upgrade the system to todays building code, but that was our choice. They also provided less expensive options that we decided not to use. Definitely our first choice for fixing any future home electrical problems.

    We had Benny, who was really great. Very upfront and direct about what needed to be done and the risks, which was really helpful. Did great work (as far as someone who is not an electrician can tell haha) and even did things like clean up after, which i appreciated.Definitely recommend this place, and am actually planning to use them again in a couple months. I also appreciate that they are fixed pricing, we got a quote for the worst case scenario at the start, and ended up ~$500 below that in the end. It was much nicer than hourly places where the quote is often the best case scenario.

    I had AG come out to look at a sump pump, but when they got here, I wasn’t ready to commit to getting the recommended work done yet. Benny could not have been more accommodating to the situation; waves the response fee, gave me his opinion on the quality of our existing system and how much a replacement might cost. I’ll definitely be going back if I need major work done.

    I called AG the electrical to have someone come out and check our air conditioner as it had stoped working they were very prompt in sending someone out.     The team is great to call and schedule appointments with. We’ve had Benny out twice now and both times he’s went above and beyond to help us fix some issues we were having.The one possible con is that AG does seem to be on the higher end with regards to cost. We haven’t had any issues with any work they’ve done so maybe the old “you get what you pay for” applies here!

    We had Jon out to troubleshoot power loss to a portion of our home in Arlington. Jon was on time, gave us a heads up and was courteous to our home. Quickly diagnosed the issues. We met Benny and Niko, Benny walked us through all the steps of replacing a fan with a very difficult fitting and did it the very same afternoon.     After experiencing power surges on a Saturday, we called AG Electrical Services. Bennie promptly dispatched John to our house to diagnose the issue. John was awesome! He was very professional and knowledgeable of our issue. He discovered damage to the electrical boxes due to the power surges. The work to be done also included coordination with the power company. John spoke with the power company representative to explain the problem. Once the power company completed their repair, John and Niko came back to replace the electrical boxes and brought our system up to code. Both John and Niko were very pleasant to work with! My latest was a large chandelier that the technician meticulously put together and installed on a very high ceiling. It was very reasonably priced for the amount of work and it looks amazing!     I called them at 3:13 AM and much to my surprise, a real, live person answered the call. By 11am, Benny was on site diagnosing our emergency (partial power loss). Pricing was fair and reasonable. I am still working with our Homeowner’s insurance since it’s a pretty complex problem. However, I will definitely use them in the future.

    I needed a new electrical line run to upgrade my home for a new washer & dryer. The team was professional, knowledgeable and courteous. In addition to installation of two upgraded outlets, the electrician (Benny) fixed bad wiring in the panel from a previous electrician and installed a whole-home surge protector. They insisted on shoe covers when I told them it wasnt necessary (to me), they cleaned up after themselves, preserved as much of the original wall board as possible, and generally instilled confidence in the quality of their work and their conscientiousness. I would 100% recommend AG Electrical Services to anyone in need of an electrician.

    We called AG Electrical Services and were impressed by their quick turnaround call - few electricians are on call 24/7. Benny diagnosed and explained that our problem with flickering lights followed by an outage was due to old corroded circuit breaker panel. He showed us where it was blackened and explained why it was a hazard. We already knew our electrical system was jerry-rigged over many years by well-intentioned previous residents and various electricians. Bennys knowledge and experience was evident as as we went over each recommendation and cost, what was a must-do vs. optional fix. Service was prompt, courteous and professional, leaving everything clean as they found it. At the end we tested and reviewed everything together, including the final invoice, to our satisfaction. They obtained permits and followed up on the final inspection with Arlington County. Knowing our house is longer an electric hazard waiting to happen brings us great peace of mind! Wed definitely use their services again.

    We tripped/blew our breaker at our condo on a Sunday evening. Several phone calls around the area later, AG was the only company ready to help. All other companies we encountered considered putting us on a wait list until Monday as an “emergency service”. AG truly understands what an emergency is and once our landlord approved the emergency service fee Benny and his partner were to our condo in less than an hour. They immediately identified the issue and had our power back on.     I just became a new customer of AG Electrical Services because I am so impressed with Benny and the responsiveness of the company. I had a minor electrical issue (beeping smoke detector that needed replacing) and Benny was able to fit me in between calls and replace the alarm within 2 hours of my call.     I can recommend AG with confidence. My family experienced a sudden and catastrophic problem with our circuit breaker panel and meter. We called the 24/7 AG hotline and talked to Benny who came over to our house in two hours and diagnosed the problem. They then spent the next day completely replacing our circuit panel and working with the power company to fix the connection to the meter. they had it back up after a complete tear down and rebuild in a day.     I called AG when my building had a power surge and part of my condo was out of electric. Benny came out and diagnosed the issue, and told me our electric box was burned.     Quality of workmanship was very good. No issues there. However, it was very expensive. The electrician showed up to fix 3 outlets. He was here about 40 minutes max. The fees were $49 service fee, $449 troubleshooting, and $149 to install a standard outlet. $689 total. No problem with the service fee or fee to install a new outlet. The $449 fee for troubleshooting is my issue; very high as it only took about 15 minutes max to figure out the issue. Yes, I could have declined proceeding with the work when presented with the troubleshooting fee, but I just wanted the work completed. Before scheduling with this company, make sure you question and understand all fees first, especially a diagnostic fee.

Are meter box was wired inappropriately by someone in the past before we bought the home which led to creating a fire in the box.     I lost power unexpectedly and called AG. A diagnosis revealed that a couple circuits on my central panel had been fried. Joe and Nico very professionally installed a new central panel. I am a new owner, and the previous owner had an addition done. The microwave, oven, and kitchen outlets were all on the same circuit (one of the fried ones), so Joe created two new circuits so they could all run on their own. He found indoor wiring being run outside uncovered and changed that it to outdoor wiring and put it in a pipe. It seems like a lot of the complaints are about how expensive it is, but the team is also knowledgeable and you ultimately get what you pay for (or dont). Id rather not cut corners dealing with electrical problems that were created by cutting corners in the first place.

The last time our home’s electric meter was ever serviced or replaced was back in the 1960’s (history not fully referenced) and it was time for an upgrade.
