    An emergency call at 1:00 PM on New Years Eve and a plumber was on site by 3:30 PM and working on the problem. Couldn’t ask for a faster response time. Duncan was knowledgeable and professional, performed the work as described, cleaned up completely afterward, and still managed to make friends with my dog. Excellent service all around. I will definitely rely on DB’s Plumbing and Drain for my future plumbing needs.

    Marv from DB plumbing was incredible and a huge help! This wasn’t his first time out to our house, and every time he is so knowledgeable and helpful. We asked for him specifically because we enjoy working with him and will continue to ask for him in the future! He helped us figure out an issue with our sump pump, which was a huge relief.     I was able to get a same day appointment without any issues. Their website scheduling made it easy and convenient. They immediately followed up with a phone call and or text to confirm.     Marv J. came out to remove my 75-gallon water heater from my utility room after it was damaged by a leak from the expansion tank. This was simply to allow the water mitigation company to do demolition and repairs to the utility room.Before starting the job, he informed me that the water heater was 17 years old and recommended that I consider replacing it rather than reinstalling the old one, which would likely need replacing soon anyway. I really appreciated that Marv took the time to explain this, as it helped me avoid unnecessary costs in the long run.What stood out to me how informative and considerate he was throughout the process. After explaining my financial situation to him, he worked with me to come up with a solution that made sense based on my current setup. He even arrived earlier than expected, which was a nice bonus!The removal process took about 4 hours due to mineral deposits inside the tank, which he had to keep flushing out to drain it. Marv was patient and thorough in making sure the job was done right. He was also courteous about my home, using shoe booties to protect my carpet, which I appreciated.At the end of the day, Marv successfully removed the water heater and explained the next steps, including what to expect when he returns with the new one. His communication and professionalism were top-notch, and I’m confident moving forward with the new installation thanks to his guidance. Highly recommend!

    I was very impressed with Johns knowledge and professionalism straight out the gate. He kept me informed and did a thorough job to repair the water leak in my home, and made repairs on the spot.     I would definitely recommend DB’s plumbing & Drain. Marv the plumber was absolutely thorough, professional, hospitable, punctual, and I am well pleased with all his jobs. One was putting in a brand new water heater, he put in a toilet, a new kitchen faucet and bathroom faucets. He didn’t even take a break. I would highly recommend their expertise and their work is outstanding. The last time we had Aaron who was outstanding too.

    Excellent! Was able to book a same-day appointment and received service (start to finish) in less than an hour. Shower wasn’t working; turns out the tub spout needed to be replaced.     Tony M from DBs Plumbing and Drain installed a new Toto toilet in one of our bathrooms and removed the old one. He did an outstanding job! He is a very skilled technician who is careful, knowledgeable and efficient. We would definitely use DBs Plumbing and Drain in the future and request Tony M to do the work.

    Aaron and all of the staff were awesome! Their communication was incredible and the level of professionalism was top notch! Aaron came and gave me a very thorough explanation of our problem and multiple options to fix it. He was courteous, knowledgeable and early (which never happens!) He did a great job! Mystee in the office was so helpful in scheduling and giving me an accurate time of when Aaron would be to our house (we have little ones so timing is everything!) I would highly recommend this company and we will use them again in the future for sure!

    Had them come out for a free estimate on adding a valve to my fridge, luck they were able to come same day since the pipe burst 30 mins before they arrived. I was helped by John B. And he was awesome. Took care of adding a new valve and fixing/replacing the old copper pipe/tubing with a newer better style. Took 45 minutes and the price was great. Would definitely use them again.

    June 2024- Thank you to Marv for inspecting our running toilet (brought to our attention by an extremely high water bill). He found a crack in the tank and recommended replacing the toilet. We bought our own toilet to save money and he installed it. No issues so far!November 2024- DB’s sent a technician the following day when I called about a failed faucet. John B. recommended a new one which they provided and installed it. My one complaint is it seems like they up charge when they provide the product, since I searched for the same faucet and found it for $159 when they charged me over $400. Installation was a bit high, over $400 which was comparable to a toilet which is strange. However, they came quickly, were very pleasant to work with, and did good work so that’s what really matters.Nov. 2024 - garbage disposal issue. They resolved it quickly!

    Dunno if I got a good or bad price, but they came out hours after I created a project on Yelp.Dude was incredibly friendly and seemed to know his stuff. I had a washing machine delivery attempt the day before but Best Buys installers wouldnt do it with my old school shut off valves.So, for 2hrs of work, and $609, i got 2 new valves and some new copper. Im satisfied

    Excellent Service. I had a serious leak due to a broken water supply line that had flooded my garden. Everything was clearly explained and all promises as to deadlines were met.     My first time using DB Plumbing and Drain and I am so happy to finally say I have a plumber! After trying different companies, small and corporate over the years and being unhappy with poor service, it was so great to work with DB- they were able to come the next day to fix a leak, I appreciate being sent a text with the technician Duncan’s picture prior to his arrival - a thoughtful touch for safety, and Duncan was professional, pleasant, and quickly diagnosed and conducted the fix and also was able to fix a long existing issue in the spot without having to come back another day. Pricing was great too!

    Been using DB Plumbing for 8+ years in three different homes. Emergency repairs and routine stuff. I have had their annual discount plan, and sometimes let it lapse. They always do great work. Recently, they quoted me over the phone an unexpectedly low price for a job. I was going to do it next year, but the price was too good to wait. I found out when the plumber came to do the work that what I was quoted over the phone was well below their standard fee. I think the person who talked to me was new. No matter, DB plumbing honored their quote.

    After noticing water coming from our ceiling on a Thursday, we realized there was an issue with our upstairs hall toilet. John was able to come out the next morning, identify the problem, and propose a course of action (whole toilet needed to be replaced). While DB could provide a new toilet with a one year warranty, On speakerphone with my husband, we were debating which of the two 1-year warranty options would likely work best (both around $1k), when John recommended that we buy the toilet ourselves (no warranty on toilet, but a few months warranty on the installation), as in his experience, American Standard is a solid brand and hed not seen issues with them. This saved us about $300! We purchased the toilet over the weekend and John came out first thing Monday morning to do the replacement - even hauled away the broken toilet!Its not often in home repair services to see someone who is timely, professional, provides good advice, and does great work, but dang if DBs doesnt have all of the above - John especially. He was also able to give a recommendation for a company that could come check out the water damage! Well absolutely be calling again for any future plumbing issues or repairs - and would recommend to anyone in the area.

    When we had a section of our lawn sinking we were concerned about our sewer line. We called DBs Plumbing and Drain and they came out the same day. After Aaron scoped the sewer line and provided pictures we could see that there were two breaks in the line. Aaron came out at 7am the following day and replaced 15 feet of pipe, spending the entire day to dig a 3 foot deep trench and to remove the broken pipes and replace them with new pipes. After hydrojetting the line all the way to the street to make sure there were no other breaks, he refilled the trench and then seeded the area and covered it with straw, hosing off the sidewalk and driveway where dirt had accumulated.We couldnt be happier with the service we received and Aaron in particular, who kept us advised of what was happening every step of the way. We were comfortable with the pricing for the work that was done and what could have happened otherwise!So thank you DBs Plumbing and Drain and especially Aaron!

    Excellent service from DB Pumbing and Drain. They were the first to respond to my Angi request and Nick came out within the hour. He gave me detailed info on the replacement options for my old water heater. I also needed two other plumbing jobs that I had been planning on getting done and the company was able to give me a reasonable price for all three jobs and that they could finish them in one day. After making another call and discussing with family, I decided that DB was the best option. Nick returned and started work and did not stop until all jobs were finished.     Main water line developed a leak and needed to be replaced. Make no mistake it’s big job. I can’t say enough about the job Aaron F with DB’s did. Phenomenal work and care throughout the whole job. He explained the work to be done to a T and performed the job all himself. We could not be more pleased with the work and how he left the premises in such good shape. We had water again by the end of the first day. The owner of the company came out to check on how it was going after a few hours of work which you don’t see very often. All around great job! Highly recommended

    We love DB’s. I called on an impromptu mission to get an exterior spigot replaced late Friday afternoon. I assumed we’d have to wait until next week to even get a quote. They sent a technician same afternoon. Tony M came to quote about 6pm AND offered to change it while he was out. We have a 1970’s house to required a lot of work to swap the pipe within a small work space in between joists. Three hours in fact. We never expected him to have to stay so late to do this. He was courteous and wonderful interacting with our young children and doxie pup. And now my kids have sprinkler time for the weekend. We will continue to us DB’s.     Very high quality detailed work. I have been using DB Plumbing for my home renovations and the work is very well done! DB Plumbing installed all 4 toilets, replaced my pipes in the bathroom walls with new, and found a very innovative way to configure my new shower conversion plumbing to fit well in the floor by installing a travelling P trap. So smart! This last visit they installed brand new pipes for my hallway bath sink and installed my new faucet. I have used various plumbers in the past, but I know this time I finally found my permanent plumber. Again, thank you for your attention to detail and quality work! 👍🏻

    10/10 customer service experience! We got the runaround from our gas company, to a plumbing company, to an hvac company, and back to a plumbing company. Decided to call DB’s for a second opinion and found out there was never a problem with our water heater to begin with 🫠. The first plumbing co charged $50 to come take a look (end result was to call hvac bc they couldn’t help). DB’s took care of us free of charge, and provided the reassurance we needed.     Marv was great! He was thorough in examining issues and explanaing then to me. I felt he provided honest assessments. I could tell he was a good guy who cared about doing quality work.He couldnt finish one job in a day - it was a more difficult problem than expected. But instead of rushing, he came back the next morning to finish up.He offered additional work, without pushing an up-sell. Although adding work did provide a bundle discount. I would definitely trust DB Plumber and Marv with any future issues.

    Our basement was flooded due to a broken hot water heater. We called DB’s Plumbing and Drain and our technician (Marv) was at our home within an hour. DB’s was within minutes of closing when we made the call, therefore, by the time he arrived it was after hours, yet we were not charged any “emergency” fees. Marv was great. He did what was necessary to diagnose the problem and temporarily stop the leaking, then installed the new heater the next morning. He was professional, knowledgeable, on time and gave us great advice that saved us some money. We really enjoyed working with him and this company and would highly recommend to anyone!

    DBs plumbing was incredible to work with from start to finish. We had a water main leak and they needed to abandon the old pipe and lay a new one.First - they had same day availability to come give us a free estimate.They were also available to compete the work the following day. Since this was an outside plumbing job and it was constantly raining, they couldnt start the work until 2 days of no rain.Tommy was super responsive on the phone and kept us updated via text and calls. Their payment system was easy to use and we placed a 50% deposit and paid the rest upon completion of the work.Aaron was the plumber completing the work and we couldnt be any happier with our interactions with him from the start. He was very knowledgeable and knew what we needed and how to do it best.We will definitely support them in the future!

    We had a badly corroded pipe leading into our hot water heater that we were really concerned about. During his initial visit Nick M explained the situation and gave us a few suggestions with plusses and minuses for each. We decided to have the hot water heater replaced and Nick did the work. We tried DB’s first but they didn’t have weekend hours. We called another plumber. On Sunday, they provided an estimate for a 50 gallon water heater. The gentleman was nice, but we felt we needed a second quote. Despite not having water, we waited until Monday to call DB’s. John B from DB’s arrived at 9am and gave us a quote that was $600 cheaper. We opted to go with a longer warranty of 8 years and still saved money. John B was very professional and thorough and installed the water heater within a few hours.

    I had a leaking faucet in a bathroom in our house. I tried to fix it myself and it was to no avail. The copper pipes were old and the valves underneath the sink were difficult to turn off completely. Working under the sink was difficult causing bodily pain working in that tight place. One thing led to another and I totally destroyed the valves and the pipes (as well as my body). This took place over a number of days(3+). Finally, on Friday afternoon I called DB’S and they sent Nick to put my pipes and sink faucet back together. Nick was like a fantastic magician in using modern plumbing tools and connecting “state of the art” pipe and fittings to my faucet in record time. It only took him 1.5 hours to complete the project. He was very professional and courteous throughout the time he was here. I will use DB’S again without hesitation and definitely ask for Nick.

    I had a kitchen sink that went from working to not draining at all, seemingly overnight. I removed the p-trap myself, but the clog wasn’t there. So, I called DB Plumbing after my neighbor recommended them. Frank called before arrival to discuss the problem. He arrived when he said he would, was professional and kind, and explained costs upfront. At one point (after snaking and then using a camera), it seemed that pipe in basement behind drywall might need to be cut. He then told me he wanted to consult with a colleague who routinely did that because he had more experience. I was happy that he was being so honest and concerned. Aaron arrived and said that we should first try to snake it one more time and run the camera again because he thought it might work the second time around (I think it was a better snake that time). This saved me money and time, and now my drain works! I appreciate how Frank was diligent and honest and just plain kind. Aaron gave his opinion, and then that solution worked. By the way, at no point did I feel pressured to make one choice or the other, and they stuck by their original quotes (no, I did not pay more—they charge by the job, not the hour)! In terms of pricing, they charged me over $6k to replace an old hot water heater and a failed sump pump, I think that price is ridiculous but when youre in that situation you dont really have the luxury of comparison shopping and are essentially at their mercy. To be fair they had previously quoted me about $3400 to replace the hot water heater alone about a year earlier, so its not like they were jacking up the price to take advantage of the situation, theyre just that expensive... maybe thats just the going rate now, I dont know. Regardless, minus one star for the cost but no complaints about the quality of Nicks work and his efforts to get everything done in one (very long) day for him.

    This is the third time I have used DBs Plumbing; they have become my go-to for anything related to plumbing. They were easy to work with for scheduling and the plumber, Duncan, who had been to my house on previous calls, was right on time. He quickly assessed the work to be done, quoted me a very reasonable price and went to work. Even with a minor problem in taking out the old unit, he knew exactly what he was doiing and did it quickly and efficiently. Duncan was not only very professional but also personable. He answered all my questions and made me feel confident in the work he was doing. He protected my carpets with drop cloths and cleaned up completely after the job. In my 35 years in Northern Virginia I have used other plumbers, but DBs Plumbing and Drain is far and away the best I have found. If I need a plumber again, they will be my first (and probably my only) call. I highly recommend them for any plumbing job.

    Jan-2021: We had what I thought was just a leaking water bib shut off valve. Then found out shortly after some investigation that our main vertical stack was cracked which lead to chopping up concrete in our foundation to get all the way back and fix it up. It may have hurt the pocket book, but I know that job was done right and I couldn’t ask for a more professional plumber.Jan-2024: had some water/sewage up-flow due to a clogged pipe.     I had water backing up in my basement floor drain a few days ago. After it subsided I called DB plumbing to investigate the issue with sewer scope. They arrived just as promised and at the beginning of the 2 hour window. Within a short time Duncan had the scope going and found a blockage 76 feet from the entry point. I elected to have him jet out the line he was back with the equipment in a short time. He had the line cleaned out very quickly and everything cleaned back up. Duncan was very polite, knowledgeable and professional. I am very pleased with the service and professionalism I received from DB’s plumbing and drain. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone who needs a plumbing service.

    I recently bought a house that came with TWO constantly running toilets. I called DBs and they made scheduling an appointment quick and easy.     We had a kitchen faucet handle burst on us last night. Hot water spewing like a fountain in Las Vegas. While I was able to shut off the house water and the water heater, still had water leaking from the valve. Unable to get a tech that night, but DB called first thing and dispatched Frank this morning. Frank was knowledgeable and professional, no upsell to buy a different facet than picked up from the box store. He replaced the valve and installed the faucet so quickly that I had him take a look at our front yard faucet. Quick estimate, went to the truck and got it done.     I am so impressed with every aspect of this company. From my first phone call, the lady I spoke with was very kind and helpful. They didn’t have any appointments available today, so she gave me the 1st available tomorrow and put me on the list if someone cancelled. I got a call a few hours later that someone did cancel their appointment. I received a text from the company with a picture of who was coming.The two gentlemen showed up (Trevor and John) right on time, they had masks and foot covers. They were amazing. They got to the root of the problem, gave us all our options. I asked many questions, they never made me feel rushed. I felt that they really cared about helping me understand, and how they could fix. They did impeccable work, and had amazing customer service. We felt that the price we paid for the work they did was definitely worth it. I highly recommend not only this company but these two men.
