I won’t end up hiring this company. The job is relatively straightforward and small. The estimate was twice that of two other estimates received. Not only that the estimate isn’t broken down into parts and labor for me to see. I’m sure they do great work but as a new homeowner I’d like a little more transparency. I’m adding a photo of the issue (rusted pipe) off a 4 year old boiler.Four stars for Christian because he was respectful, and thorough in providing us a timely estimate.

Robert came and was able to save us from waiting an extra day in the cold after one of his appointments finished earlier than usual. He was transparent, honest, articulate, experienced and respectful (down to wearing the little booties over his snowy work boots when inside!)! A true professional that made HVAC language as understandable as one possibly could. I was referred to Asctacio by my folks and so far so grea. From the first call-in for help early this morning to Karen, all the way to Robert walking us through exactly what he did (with photos!) during his entire maintenance visit. Again, Robert, stopping by in the snow to get the ball rolling on a non-working furnace after only a handful of hours from me making the initial service call, shows you how truly dedicated their work techs really are. Sila technician performed the yearly maintenance on our heating system and explained the system, reviewed the thermostat settings with us, and answered all our questions related to heating, including a recommendation to a chimney service which was e ask d about. He knew EVERYTHING! Very happy with the technician, the service, and the cost — would highly recommend.

Boiler installation service was good enough. Communication and updates could have been better. Day 1, there was delay in parts delivery and technicians were just hanging out in the driveway without communicating anything. Day 2, arrived late and pretty much took the whole day when they said they would finish by 1 pm. Positives - cleaned up well, installation looks neat, and worked through to resolve minor issues that came up during testing.

After a recent power outage our Nests (all 5 of them) were fried! Sila was able to come out quickly and even called to ask if they could come a day earlier. Freddy was our tech and super helpful and accommodating. Our issue needed some extra troubleshooting, but he was immediately on the phone with the Sila team and working through the issue. Incredibly friendly team and we signed up for their annual maintenance package.

So thankful for the Sila dispatch and our technician Robert. We had an overheating boiler with burning rubber smell and they sent him out within the hour and he fixed everything quickly, efficiently, and explained all of the planned work and costs transparently with us on site before proceeding. As a first time homebuyer, it can be hard to know when you are being taken advantage of when it comes to emergency fixes. It was a huge relief for that not to be the case today.

I was prepared to be without hot for at least a day. The new boiler is heat and hot water. I had running hot water before 3:00 the same day. Day two took less to connect the three zones for heat and test. Absolutely an amazing job!

Ivan, Pino and Danny are extremely professional and they look into where others don’t - I am a customer of Sila for 10yrs and a couple days ago my main drain pipe was leaking when Ivan was doing work at the house in the boiler - he stopped what he was doing - jumped to action and got the Astacio folks on site at the same day - without Ivan’s help we still probably would not be able to usei our baths, showers, water … The job was tough - but Pino and Danny did it with ease - the picture attached tells it all -And Ivan has pointed out a chimney problem where later on I found liner was compromised - it is being replaced as we speak for a chimney companyTHANk YOU IVAN, PINO and DANNY!

I am incredibly happy that I made the right decision in selecting Astacio/Sila to perform HVAC installation on our new Hastings-on-Hudson home. From the estimate through the completion of the project, which included adding 7 mini-splits, the process was top notch. After receiving estimates from multiple companies, David Cuevas presented us with a detailed proposal that steered us to the best solution for our older home for cooling/heating. His professionalism and knowledge made us feel instantly comfortable with Sila handling our project, and he proposed a very reasonable price. Our decision to go with Sila was quickly rewarded as Cinthia from Astacio/Silas team made the permit and scheduling process a breeze, going above and beyond to get things promptly started. To the companys word, they sent a team immediately to undertake a week-long project installing 7 splits with 2 condensers. I could not speak more highly of the team that worked on the project. Sebastian Ramos, David, Ernesto, and Mike were professional, courteous, and kept me informed about the project with each step. Sebastian went above and beyond for us to make sure that his team installed a quality product with fantastic craftsmanship and exceptional service. You do not always get the feeling that individuals take pride in their work, but Sebastian, David, and Ernesto clearly do and made me feel 100 percent sure that I picked the right company. Ok I have never posted a review before but I want to support this team because this was by far the best service I’ve received from an HVAC company - and I’ve used a few!They answered the phone promptly. They treated me like a long time customer before I’d paid a dime. They got me an appointment the day of. I got a text 30 minutes before Sean’s arrival (exactly in the middle of the service window). He was great - professional, kind, very knowledgeable. It was not a straightforward problem but he troubleshooted and ultimately resolved the issue. He was honest about the system needs and didn’t try to sell me on anything. He wrote everything up for me at the ends so I could make a decision about what to do moving forward. The pricing was Very fair. I paid for the work done and I didn’t feel like I was getting ripped off. I am likely going to cancel my service contract with another company and switch to these guys because they are the best! Thank you Sean!!!!
