Engaged Jack Woods Plumbing to fix a leaking valve on the main water line into my house. The service was scheduled quickly and Matt was knowledgeable and very willing to answer all my questions. Unfortunately one of the parts installed started leaking a couple hours after the initial install - I called the next day and Matt came out the very same day to fix the defective valve. Very happy with the company and Matt and recommend them very highly.

I was referred to Jack Woods after three other large companies (Roto-Rooter and the like) could not find the source of the sewage smell in my finished basement. The gentleman from Jack Woods who came out took his time to investigate and his genuine care to resolve the issue was evident. He located the problem and fixed it that same day, and also checked other fixings and made recommendations on things I could do myself (instead of pushing more of his services), which I greatly appreciated. He also educated me on all he was doing. I cannot tell you how grateful my family is to have a nice-smelling basement again, Im a customer for life!

First off, let me state that my Father was a plumber with his own business out on the West Side of Columbus in the Brookshire Addition. My Dad always gave 100%, his work was the very best, and his standards were stellar, as many of his former customers would attest. So, when i see or need plumbing work done, I definitely know what to expect in quality and fair pricing! Today, we had a current waterline leak in the basement repaired; fifty-six-year-old copper plumbing needs tender care and maintenance, you know. Experiencing a couple of pinhole leaks in our water supply, we called upon Jack L. Woods Plumbing Company, Incorporated located in Westerville to take care of the situation. Previously, they expertly installed a new water heater in our basement which has been totally dependable since installation a few years back. Our repairman, Barry, was professional, on time, and did a superb repair to remedy our current situation. In addition, he repositioned a current shut-off valve close to the main shut-off valve, to make certain we have a complete shutdown of water in case of future plumbing needs. I cannot recommend this thirty-five-year-old company enough! They give the very best in service for your plumbing needs!

On Wednesday, we discovered a substantial leak under our bathroom sink. We called Jack Woods and scheduled a service call for the following day, arrival between 10-3. Unfortunately, I did not get the schedulers name. The following day I waited for the techs arrival. I also did not receive a promised phone call 20 minutes before arrival. After the 3pm deadline, I knew there was an issue,, because they are usually prompt and professional. So, I called the office again, and spoke with a Bill (?) Compton. As I suspected, I was not on the schedule, for that day or even the following week. He knew someone had made an error and immediately scheduled me and contacted his on-call tech. The tech arrived within an hour and fixed the leak, replaced two shut-off valves, apologized for the error and departed within 45 minutes. The service charge was fair and I am satisfied with the work. Call these guys for plumbing issues, but get a name after scheduling. These guys are fair and normally prompt and professional.

Jack Woods plumbing came to fix the large pipe in my basement and put in a new water heater. They arrived on time (and they call you when their on their way).They also fixed my running toilet in the half bathroom, that I hadnt told them about. Their estimate was right on target no suprises,in fact they do have a senior discount. They were recommended to me by a friend and I am recommending them to my friends. I will be using them again when needed.

They couldn’t fix the issue because there was a larger issue with the whole house drain needing cleaned, but they didn’t charge me anything for the quick visit. That is rare these days. Usually companies want $200 to ring the door bell. I’ll be reaching out to them in the future!

If you have any plumbing needs, call this company! I had a perfume bottle stuck in my toilet and couldn’t get it out. First company I called said I needed a new toilet and flange for $1,200 (no lie). A friend recommended Jack L. Woods Plumbing. Matt came out and told me the flange was fine and installed a new toilet for a third of the cost. It’s so easy to get scammed these days, sadly. Matt was friendly, professional, and fast! I will call Jack L Woods for ALL my plumbing needs in the future!!

February 2023: Arrived on time. Completed the job quickly and properly. Nick cleaned up the dry wall cuttings after the job was done. Im always satisfied with Jack Woods. They are always my first choice. However, they are so popular its usually 7-10 days before they can make repairs. Update: January 2024. We required plumbing services twice in the last week. Both times JWP arrived ahead of their promised time and fixed the problems quickly and at a reasonable price. I recommend them to everyone I know who needs a plumber. They have been awesome over the 25 years I have been a customer.

Our garbage disposal ground to a halt, and we called Ecoplumbers, because they are so fast and dependable. The plumber looked inside, tried to move the key, and gave up within 5 minutes, saying that we needed a new disposal, which was going to cost $800-2,000, depending upon which model we wanted, with the $800 model being the very cheapest Insinkerator. That seemed outrageous, so I called another company. Barry from Jack Woods did a thorough diagnosis, determined that the circular turning plate at the bottom was bent, fixed it, and got the disposal to turn. All of this took about an hour. The disposal would have worked for a while, but it was already apart and 17 years old, so I decided to replace it. Barry installed a high-end Insinkerator and reworked our under-sink pipe arrangement, just to improve the design. The whole visit cost $550. Jack Woods will be my first call next time.

The consistency of service, professionalism and dedication to the customer is truly amazing. Often times you may get a technician within a company that has these traits, but our experience at Jack Woods has been across every representative we have utilized. Most recently, Berry was wonderful when he came to our residence. Quickly fixing a few minor repairs and then installing hot water to our garage! Last year a crew from Jack Woods replaced many lines of copper pipe in our basement and the on-going repairs at our store are always fixed timely and professionally with their crew. We have used their services several times and have been pleased with their professionalism, promptness and keeping areas clean upon completion of the work. We have used them to replace faucets, replace a kitchen sink, and trouble shoot a water hammer issue. All work was completed perfectly and prices charged have been reasonable. I can easily recommend their services. As for any negative reviews, you need to consider the circumstances and the customers expectations. This is a contractor and dealing with emergencies is always stressful.

Tip: if you have a pipe leak from the main water line coming into your home before the main shutoff valve, DO NOT schedule an appointment or you will be charged their minimum labor rate of $120 (as of 1/16/2023) for literally 5m time to tell you they don’t do this work as it requires the city to shut off your water supply and need excavation since the leak is near the wall somewhere before the main shutoff valve. I’ve used Jack Woods several other times and they have been great and their prices are typically better than others.

Im surprised by some of the other reviews but stuff happens sometimes. We had a great experience with the company. Barry came out today and immediately found the problems we have had with pipe issues and running water. Another company told us we had air in our pipes. This was definitely not the issue. He was able to quickly locate and fix a few problems we had. He was very personable and even played with our dog. When we called we were told it would be about ten days so made the appointment since it wasnt an urgent issue. They called a few times to see if we were available because they had a cancellation and could get us in. They office called to let us know the window of time to expect them and then called back to let us know he was on his way. We are very pleased with the service we received and will use them again if we need to.

Wanted to get shut-off valves installed under 3 sinks, and a 4th one installed for the outside water spigot. In addition, asked to have small leaks repaired for 2 faucets. Dave came out to do the job. He was on time, professional, polite, and competent. I was very pleased with his work. He did explain that one faucet was corroded, so we replaced that faucet with new. We have used Jack Woods several times in last 20 years. This was 1st time that Dave came out, and would ask for him in future. On a negative, I couldn’t find their website, and they schedule about one week out

We have a tub/shower that began to leak into our downstairs ceiling. We found a few leaky connections, and called another company we had used previously to come take a look. They quoted us $500 for replacing a tub spout (with an apartment grade fixture). That seemed a bit outlandish, so we decided to get another opinion, and Jack L Woods Plumbing came highly recommended. Barry wore a mask and was speedy with his repairs. The wait to get on the schedule was well worth the thoroughness and cost savings in repairs. 10/10 will use this company for any plumbing needs in the future!

I want to thank and compliment John and Barry for taking great care of me in an very unfortunate situation.My sump pump died last Thursday night and I was on the verge of a serious water issue. I contacted John first thing Friday morning and even though the business was extremely busy and backed up (no pun intended) he was able to get Barry to my home by 11a.m and in less than an hour the new pump was installed and the situation resolved. I called this company the next morning and a few hours later they came and cleared the blockage. They were very professional and the price was great. In an attempt to replace my bathroom faucet recently the drain pipe ended up crumbling. I called Jack Woods and they scheduled an appointment for the following week (this was in the middle of a cold snap and they were backed up with frozen pipes and mine was definitely not an emergency). The technician called me about an hour before he was to arrive and followed up when he got delayed to update me on his arrival time. He replaced the drain pipe, installed a new sink and new faucet very quickly. Very happy with the quality of their work and the efficiency of the tech! Price was wayyyyyyyyyy less than I was expecting also!

Ive been able to rely on Jack Woods Plumbing no matter what job I needed done. Even when I was a single woman, they didnt try to take advantage of me. I hate when that happens! When I wanted a more powerful garbage disposal, they put in a commercial model for me at a price close to the home model. Thanks for listening!
