    Excellent service!! On time, constantly keep you informed, professional in all aspects!! I have had a toilet reset, bathtub/shower diverter and fixtures replaced and a water softening system installed. I was very pleased with all the services.     I have utilized Sykes Plumbing Services for several jobsā€¦all 5 star ratings from me. Iā€™ve had my pilot light lit, my hot water heater replaced, my kitchen and bathroom double sink faucets replaced and just had my toilet fixed snd replaced.The first four jobs went smoothly with no problems. The last job involved fixing and replacing my toilet involved me upgrading to a different style of toilet. I didnā€™t realize that the toilet would be a little bit smaller and due to some other extenuating circumstances, wasnā€™t working well for my household.When I informed Mr. Sykes, he made arrangements to come back over first thing in the morning after he had completed my job late the night before. Needless to say he replaced the toilet again with one that better fitted my household with the challenging situation with the base underneath being broken.I said all of that just to explain that you never really know how people will treat you until something goes wrong. Mr. Sykes made me a priority and did an excellent job with the repairs.As long as they are in business, I wonā€™t be going to anyone else for any of my plumbing needs. The level of integrity and taking care of your customer are outstanding assets of this company. Not only are they very personable people but they also stand behind their work.

    Thanks, Sykes, for unclogging my pipes!I had company arriving by the end of the day, and we couldnā€™t use our facilities.I contacted Sykes when I realized my pipes were clogged. Herman answered my call. It was Friday morning. Herman said that someone would be there around 5:00pm. He was going to fit me in! Yay! Around 5pm, Herman arrived. He worked until he could free the pipes.I was so pleased that Sykes could fit me into the day last minute. Herman was so personable and professional.I found Sykes based on the many positive reviews on the internet, and I wanted to leave one as well.I highly recommend Sykes Services. I am ready to call them back for some other repairs.

    Professional appearance. Fair prices and great quality work! I thought I was going to be left with a hole in the wall to resolve at another time and was surprised they cut a perfect hole and installed an access panel for future access. Besides that the workers are very friendly and transparent. I plan on sticking with Sykes for all future plumbing repair.

    Hakim Stubbs was very honest and very knowledgeable. He gave me a lot of information about my sump pump problem and let me decide what my wife and I would like to do. He was very kind and polite. He did not pressured us to replace the sump pump since it is working although its not stopping running due to a lot of water. Eventually it stopped running continuously when I unclogged the pipe from the outside where the water is coming out. Now its working fine. Thanks Hakim for not making us spend about $1000.00 which we didnt have to. Now a days technicians like Hakin are very rare most of them are there to make money. Thanks Hakim and thank you Sykes services for hiring an honest employee like Mr. Hakim Stubbs. I will recommend Sykes Services to my friends and family when they need a plumber..

    I used this company to repair a broken pipe in my house and they also replaced my dated pedicel sink. They were very professional when I called initially to set my appointment. They mention they were extremely backlogged, but would make time for me. I was surprised when they showed up a few minutes early. Upon arrival, the servicemen were very polite and knowledgeable and were able to take care of the problem without issues. I would definitely use this company again.

    At around 12:30 a.m., the main sump pump at my house stopped working, and the water level in the water pit began to rise. I tried searching for plumbers around my area, but most of them were connecting to call centers who had no direct connection with the service staff. At approximately 3.30 a.m., I called Sykes Services. Despite the fact that it went to voicemail, because it was a Friday night, I decided to call again the next morning, which was answered and I was given a 2 p.m. appointment. To avoid any unpleasant surprises, I was informed about the possible charges as well as the rates of available sump pumps. They showed up on time and inspected the sump pump. My homes sump pump was approximately 5 years old, with a low capacity and a faulty motor. They gave me a great deal on a high-pressure pump and had it up and running in less than 30 minutes. They were courteous, responsive, and knowledgeable. They also provided a warranty for the product and stated that there would be no additional charges if anything went wrong with the replaced sump pump during this time. I would recommend them and value their professionalism and responsiveness. Thank you very much!

    I have American Home Shield. Waste of time trying to get immediate help. With water flooding our basement, I reached out to Sykes, not only was the customer service excellent, professional and responsive, she actually cared!! She found a comparable hot water heater (75 gallons) in less than 2 hours and scheduled us for delivery and install the next day. AMAZING!!! The plumbers Mr Herman and Craig were exceptionally polite, quick, and patient. Mr Herman took the time to explain everything I asked and more. It gave me confidence that not only did he know his craft, I was getting excellent work. Did I mention the American Home Shield process was going on for 2 weeks? Today I have no more standing water on my floor AND I can take a hot shower!. Thank you Sykes Service. American Home Shield can learn from you!

    First and foremost, I trust Sykes Plumbing Services. They are the only company I have given my business to since I moved to Waldorf. He has provided excellent service and great advice. I am looking forward to continuing using Sykes Plumbing for either plumbing maintenance or emergencies. Staff is super friendly, very professional ā€¦ overall great experience. The company has repaired pipes, install a new water heater (you should ask about the heat-pump version), a water softener (amazing great showers as a result) and a water purifier (water never tasted so good).

    This was the third plumber on my list to call. The previous two could not provide the service I need until mid the following week. Called Sykes and they sent someone within the hour. The technician was very professional. He diagnosed the problem and quoted me a price on the spot. The part had to be ordered and he came back the following day to finish the repair. He even gave me a discount. I am very pleased with the work they have done.

    Great company, very professional and customer service oriented! I contacted Sykes Plumbing Services at the last minute on a Saturday to take care of an emergency plumbing situation at my home.     Herman is a gem. We first used his services when we had an unexpected leak. He was responsive and quick to come out, even on a weekend. He ended up having to cap a tub and order a part for us and installed two 90-degree ball valves on the water pipes in the house. He was professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and his prices reasonable. All of this happened at the height of the COVID quarantine and he took care to protect our family while in our home.The second time we used his services was because our water heater unexpectedly bit the dust. He was able to walk us through what we needed to do to stop any further leaking over the phone before he could make it to us later that day. He came out and assessed the situation and made a plan to come back the next day with a replacement. He was at our house for over 4 hours installing a water heater and a water softener system (we had previously discussed installing one with him and decided to just go ahead and do it all while he was replacing the water heater). He and Craig, his son, were consummate professionals. This family owned businesses is an asset to southern Maryland. I would not hesitate to use their services again or to recommend them. We are customers for life.

    This is not the first time I have used this company and having done so I do not plan to use another one when the need is inevitable.I was impressed with Mr. Sykes professionalism in every aspect from the time he entered my home until he completed the job. He put on shoe protectors as such out of respect! The explanations for the warranted work and my questions were fully answered in its entirety and with clarity.He was punctual to say the least and very cordial. His prices were very reasonable by far better than many of his competitors. This particular visit the problem was with my garbage disposal/dishwasher not working.     Im so happy I found Sykes Plumbing. It took me forever to call someone because I was afraid of being taken advantage of. Finally I had to call because I was concerned my problem would cause more damage. From the first call to Sykes Plumbing it has been a pleasant experience.     We were trying to open a outside hose bib which hadnt been opened for quite some time. We applied too much pressure and it snapped off. We went inside and tried to turn off the water and realized theres no cutoff valve there. By this time it was 5:30 p.m. and we had to turn off the water in the entire house and seek out a plumber. Sykes plumbing was closed however his office made arrangements for him to come out and install a cutoff valve so we could have water for the night then he came out and fixed the problem the next day . We were very grateful and happy with this service. The pricing is very fair as well.

    I have nothing but the highest regard for Sykes Services. We had a plumbing emergency with our sons bathroom and could not get the water to stop running in his bathtub. I started panicking and YouTube-ing everything as the water was pouring by the gallons into the tub. Fortunately, it was immediately draining, but it was nonstop. I called so many plumbing companies in Charles County trying to get someone on the phone. FINALLY, I called Skyes Services and my prayers were answered. Not only did they pick up the phone immediately, but did a thorough assessment on the phone, provided a firm price (very reasonable), and quoted an ETA within a couple of hours. Herman Skyes (owner) arrived sooner than I expected and was a breath of fresh air. He showed my husband and I how to properly shut off the water main (I turned off the hot water valve, which helped, but wasnt quite right) and gave us so many tips/tricks/insider knowledge on why this was happening (I thought my son broke it) and what to look for in the future for similar issues. He put us of both at ease as he seamlessly fixed the bathtub faucet within less than 30 minutes. Mr. Skyes was extremely professional and customer-oriented. He spoke proudly of his family-owned business and took immense pride in servicing the Southern Maryland community. His wife, Delanda, who took my initial call was just as informative and professional during our exchange. I highly recommend using them for any plumbing emergencies or routine maintenances. I definitely feel more prepared if I have any future issues and will be patronizing their business moving forward.
