    In the middle of a heat wave, we lost our central air. Peter and Evan came to the rescue. They inspected our electrical system and noted many breakers were double wired. They managed to rewire some receptacles so we could, once again, be cool. In the long run, we will need to upgrade our panel. Guess who we will hire for the job?

    It’s hard to find a really good electrician that you can trust, so luckily I had a friend who recommended Peter to me. I could not be happier. First of all, he came over right away. I didn’t have to wait hours for him to come. When he got here, he went above and beyond checking my electric very thoroughly to rule out any other possible problems. He took the time to explain what was going on and you could tell he knew what he was talking about. He was very knowledgeable. He wanted to make sure he addressed everything he thought the problem was so that I wouldn’t be spending any unnecessary money. Before he put in any equipment, since it was working before he left, he told me to wait until morning and have the city electric come over one more time. That night we thought things were fixed but Peter told me to keep in contact with him if things weren’t working properly. The electric was still going on and off so I called the electric company and when they said it wasn’t them, I called Peter and he came right over and tried again to find out the problem. After doing more searching, he was able to find the problem and he came back that evening with the parts I needed and it was fixed. Long story short, if you want an electrician you can trust, someone who will not try and take advantage of you and someone who will follow up with you to make sure everything is working correctly, Peter Galagan Electric is who you should call. Five stars is not enough for the quality work I received! Oh and one last thing, not only was he there the time he told me but he was early as well. What more could you ask for!

I don’t know many electricians who use a laser level but Pete is one of them. It was clear he takes pride in his work and had my best interest in mind. I recommend Pete without reservation.     From start to finish our experience with Peter was terrific. It is always challenging scheduling and competing major electrical work on a rental property in-season. We had back-to-back renters and needed to replace our electrical boxes at our duplex in OCNJ. Our renters needed to vacate the premises for a day and Peter was very respectful of our renters property and time. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and efficient finishing a few hours ahead of schedule. He also went the extra mile to ensure that unforeseen interior work was completed and the space was left clean and prepped for spackle and paint. His workmanship was excellent and it passed inspection a few days later. I would definitely hire Peter again and I highly recommend him for your electrical needs.

    Pete and Jon did all of the electrical work for our kitchen and bathrooms renovation in our 1960’s home. The scope of work included upgrading all wiring, light fixtures, outlets and switches in the rooms being renovated, upgrading the main panel, and installing a subpanel in the garage.My wife and I were very impressed with the quality of work by Pete and Jon. The walls were open so we saw first hand how clean and organized these guys were when replacing the wiring. They were always on time, covered the floors, and cleaned up after themselves every day. They were also very personable and walked us through any potential issues that we should address.     We had tons of stuff done on our place.... replaced the entire houses knob n tube wiring, a new panel, ceiling fans, sconces, outdoor lights and an electric car charger. Lastly, Pete was also very creative in solving some issues with old, antique details that we didnt want to lose, he found solutions to make things work.     P. Galagan Electric was an absolute LIFE SAVER. We had an alarm system in our new apartment (with no code) that armed our entire house and every time a door or window opened it rang the alarm for an excruciating 3 minutes. I cut the whole system out of the wall out of frustration and Pete came out the next day - not only reattached/rewired our security systems within minutes, but allowed us to disarm the apartment and never hear that noise again - at an affordable price.
