We recently hired a handyman to install two new overhead light futures in our upstairs hallway where multiple light switches controlled the same two lights. Unfortunately our handyman couldn’t be sure how to handle the many wires coming from the ceiling for each light. We appreciated the handyman for trying, but he ultimately suggested an electrician. We were going to wait until the next day, but when my son got home from his late soccer game that day, we noticed the electric in his room wasn’t working. I attempted to flip the switch back on from the electrical/fuse box in the basement myself and triggered an arch of electric. I immediately panicked and tried to find an electrician that would come after hours. I found Bob’s business with a quick google search. I called him that night. He reassured us that it was safe to leave everything as is until he can get to us first thing in the morning. Of course with the statement not to touch the fuse box again. He arrived bright and early as promised. It seems the wiring was quite complicated even for an electrician. With a little bit of patience and tolerance of my attempts to help based off how I remembered the lights being wired before we removed the original light fixtures, Bob was able to figure it out! His pricing was also fair. I highly recommended this company. -

When we needed a trusted company the most, we found one. They really are a responsible, and respectful team. They came to our home and didn’t just fix the problem, they saved our house from a potential electrical fire. I’m beyond grateful for their excellent job. -

Thank you, Bob at Gen X Electrical! Our household power failed yesterday sometime late at night or early in the morning. I discovered the outage around 5:00 am, engaged a systems backup he had previously installed, and texted Bob at Gen X Electrical regarding our emergency. The backup system worked flawlessly.Over the past ten years, Bob has upgraded our homes distribution box, installed a transfer interface for our emergency solar backup generator, and worked on other electrical projects. We were referred to Gen X through our go-to general contractor, who only referred professionals whom he trusted to work in his and his familys homes. Each service experience with Gen X reinforced our decision to continue to utilize Bob and his teams expertise. Each service call, from initial contact to project assessment, estimate, completion, and post-work follow-up, was an example of professionalism and craftsmanship. Having been a do-it-yourself-er for 30+ years with insane OCD and having worked in retail and my own business, Im a stickler for details and unforgiving of shortfalls in quality and courtesy. Bob has always reciprocated the courtesies and respect Ive shown him, and his work quality is second to none. Hes answered every question Ive thrown at him and promptly responded to every communication Ive sent his way via phone, text, and email. I could go on and on recounting the positive experiences Ive had with Gen X Electrical; Im just immensely appreciative of his help with our problem above.At 7:00, Bob texted me that hed be at my home by 8 a.m. to check the system out. I never had to tell him I had an elderly mom who depended on powered medical equipment to get him to come over. I thought our main breaker was malfunctioning. He came early, ran diagnostics, and quickly determined the problem was on the power companys end in their supply lines to the house. He didnt just end the service call to attend to his appointments for that day. He took the time to call the power company to initiate a service call on our behalf and give them service pole numbers and other information to expedite the process. He also suggested that I ask them to replace their service line from the transformer to the house due to the many splices and temporary caps that were more than likely the cause of our problems. The power company came and replaced the supply line - emergency over. Bob contacted us later in the day to make sure we were OK. I dont often leave reviews, but this one reflects my appreciation for Gen Xs most recent service and previous work that prevented an emergency from escalating into a horrible situation. My family and I thank you, Bob. -

Gen-X responded to my electrical needs (installed an exterior light on house and motion lights on the south side of my house) in a polite and respectful manner. Bob from Gen-X also did attic work for me and was quick to explain what was done and cleaned up trash and debris immediately. All work was neat, clean and timely. He is your guy! I did have to wait a while for him to respond, but it was well worth it. I see why I had to wait- he definitely is in high demand. -
