I consulted with about a dozen different solar companies, each recommending various system sizes. I knew going into it that I wanted to own a system, so I did a search for an approved installer on the Go Green Financing site and Ambrose Solar was the first company listed. I was impressed with their reviews on yelp was able to get an appointment for an in-home consultation fairly quickly. Jon Landsman, was the solar specialist assigned. He is super knowledgeable and really took the time to understand our needs. Going solar is a big commitment and Jon was very patient answering all my questions, ensuring we were making an informed decision that we would be comfortable with for the next 25+ years. I was impressed with the software and technology used to come up with our system design. Jon even allowed me to create my own and showed how each design would work for our home and energy usage on the spot. I knew at that point, that my search for a solar company was done and signed with Ambrose Solar before Jon left our home. Weve been in constant communication and the process is moving along nicely. Everyone Ive interacted with from Ambrose Solar has been great and Im looking forward to getting our system up and running.

Long overdue review! The team at Ambrose Solar is amazing. I reached out to them to have our existing solar system removed so we could replace our roof, and then have it reinstalled. From start to finish, the communication and the work performed was impeccable. Andrew was our lead communication contact, and he was amazing throughout the process. Excellent communication, explained everything clearly, always responsive, and as friendly as it gets. Carlos was the foreman of the project, and he and the crew did an amazing job. Again, great communication, exceptional work, and they left the site as clean as it was before they started. Following completion of the project, we needed an update to our inverter and electrical panel, and Joe came out to complete this final job. Like the rest of the team, Joe was amazing - super friendly, great communication, and excellent work. I couldn’t be happier with the team at Ambrose, and I very highly recommend them.

I highly recommend Ambrose Solar for anyone thinking about installing a solar system. Getting solar is a very big decision and took me a few years to actually pull the trigger. After all is said and done I am very glad that I went with Ambrose Solar. They were able to install a quality system that I feel very good about and I have no concerns about any issues that may come up because theyve proven to be very responsive and knowledgeable. I have had a 13+kW unit with 3-5 kW Tesla solar batteries for a year now. I have no true-up this first year and don’t anticipate one at any time in the future. Stephanie helped me get a rebate from PG&E. She worked tirelessly for almost a year to help me receive this rebate.I have not had any negative issues with Ambrose. I fully recommend them for anyone considering Solar and/or batteries.

After installing our solar panels and Powerwall a couple years ago, we had Ambrose come back out add an EV charger. It was very easy to discuss the project via text with Justin. Austin in Engineering quickly confirmed that we had sufficient capacity in our main electrical panel for a new circuit. They got me on the schedule for a couple days later, and Jo quickly and politely installed the charger inside my garage. He was very respectful and cleaned everything up perfectly when he was done. All the conduit is super cleanly routed. Very happy with the result!

Ambrose Solar is a great solar company providing excellent services at a fair price. Our SolarEdge solar system was installed by an independent electrician who now only services commercial customers so I had to find a new servicer to add an EV charger to our system. Despite working somewhat blindly on a system they did not install (without benefit of line drawings), they patiently worked through some sync errors even though it required the tech to come back onsite (a distant location for them) after the initial install. Everyone at Ambrose Solar that I had contact was, polite, helpful, professional, and knowledgeable. They are now my permanent solar servicer. I wholeheartedly recommend Ambrose Solar.

I cannot say enough about this company! I don’t think I’ve ever worked with a company with such a high-level of professionalism and customer service.Once I found out, my solar company had went out of business , And left with an extremely high true-up bill since my inverter went out, Ambrose came to the rescue!Within a week and a half I had a new inverter and my solar was up and running. My two service techs, Jo and Amulfo Were amazing! They showed up on time, answered all of my questions, and trust me I had a lot of them! They took the time to make sure I understood everything that was being done.Justin , the service coordinator and Daryn were also very helpful, professional and helped to get things expedited in a timely manner.If you need solar or have been left in an unpleasant predicament with your Solar company, I highly recommend you go with Ambrose Solar!

Ambrose Solar Review – Couldn’t be happier.We looked at three Bay Area solar companies and selected Ambrose Solar, the leading Bay Area source and certified “Master” for delivering SunPower residential solar systems. SunPower’s panels, technology and industry practices are the highest caliber in the industry. Our Ambrose salesperson oversaw our purchase, design and installation of our 25 panel rooftop solar system, battery and a required PG&E main service panel upgrade. He has stuck with us from first contact to our close out meeting and is there for us ongoing with any question we have about the technology, PG&E, NEMs, using and understanding all the data on our app and suggestions on how to get the most value from our system. We couldn’t be happier with their professionalism, industry knowledge, responsiveness and super support. Every member of each team that came to our home was courteous, professional and helpful. We are delighted with our system and with Ambrose’s execution at every step.

I didnt know how complex a remove & reinstall of solar panels to get your roof done would be. Justin at Ambrose helped out a lot coordinating answering questions and getting through the red tape. Without his help I would not have been able to accomplish it. The techs were great at performing the removal and reinstall. The only criticism I have of the techs is putting some things back that were displaced and cleaning the worksite a little better after completion. But they answered all of my technical questions and the system was put back together properly.

Ambrose solar installed extra panels for my solar collection in April 2023 to be on NEM2. Installation went smoothly with no issues. This year February 4. 2024 PGE had a major outage that damaged all the micro inverters on my system as well as 100 other homes that have SunPower systems. I live at One Lake Fairfield and this affected about 250 to 300 solar systems in our community that were both SunPower and Sunnova. Ambrose came out a couple days after I called in to schedule to diagnose the issues. They assessed that all 21 micro inverters were fried and had to be replaced. The caveat was that the warranty did not cover this due to it being a surge. Ambrose worked with me to order and replace the parts while all the residents of One Lake and myself push backed with SunPower to honor their warranty coverage. The micro inverters took sometime to receive and my installation date was finally booked in April. The micro inverters were installed, but they were not communicating properly but were still producing. This was caused by excessive line noise that could only be resolved with installation of a line noise filter. Well Ambrose Solar, primarily, Justin, stepped up to the plate to help cover the cost/installation of the line noise filter in August after weeks of trying other solutions. I can honestly say that after months of having a system not producing anything Ambrose Solar is a solar contractor I can recommend. Justin helped as much as he could on pricing and solutions. Also JoJo is one of their best technicians that made sure we received the greatest onsite customer services.

My experience with them has been wonderful from the initial salesman visit to the completion of the system and finally the Permission to Operated walk-through over the phone. The system exceeds my expectations, covering my power needs with a nice margin. An excellent system, neatly installed. I expect to enjoy it for many years.

What a great organization. This company is the best in this area. I was so impressed from start to finish with the entire group that assisted in making my solar happen. I had interactions with many employees at different times throughout the entire process who were all great. Estimator/Sales consultant Carlos was the best. He was fantastic to work with. He explained everything about solar in great detail, always available when I had more questions. My project manager Carissa was also great. She kept me up to date throughout the entire process. The install crew of six led by Kyle were fantastic, all knew their jobs very well. They got busy as soon as they showed up and installed a very clean system in one day. I can’t say enough about our wonderful experience with Ambrose. We had our initial meeting with David and he was easily able to explain how everything works. He was very knowledgeable and not pushy at all.They use an amazing software application that looks at your roof and determines how much sun hits each part of your roof. It then adds virtual panels to your roof so you can see how the installation would look.After giving the green light, it was an extremely smooth and quick transition to doing inspections to prep our house for solar.The installation crew were top-notch. Trent and his crew were able to get the job done in two days. The quality of the work is excellent and I would highly recommend anyone going with Ambrose for a solar installation.

I wanted to reach out and thank you for setting this project up—although we still have inspections pending the install went wonderfully. Thats a good bunch of guys you have working on your team. In all sincerity my past solar installs with other companies always had issues, but this went damn near flawlessly. All of my concerns were addressed and covered, including the trenching near existing lines, beefing up the pumphouse walls, etc. Also really appreciated the cleanliness of the work areas—when the crew was done the trenches were like they were never there, conduit painted, areas swept and tidy. And I also really want to extend my gratitude to Dalton Chute (foreman?) who was always courteous, patient, helpful, and thorough—and he knew exactly what he was doing. No shortcuts made – just real professionalism which we dont see too often anymore. I would like to extend my thank you to the rest of the crew, including Jeffy Hernandez, Lalo Ortiz, Omar Arriola, Diego Solorio, Bryan Becera, Irvin Gaytan, Jesus Sanchez, Guillermo Castaneda, and Ivan Salazar. There was one minor issue with the roof tile re-installation which they took care of shortly after bringing to their attention.I do not write reviews during the honeymoon period after installation. I wait until..........?Last week (1/15/2024) I notice on the tiles on the upper rook was slipping out of place. I contacted Ambrose and they handled the situation very well. Within a few days a technician was out the repair it. Quick and easy no hassles.They passed my test, hence the positive review. I recommend them for your solar project.

Ambrose Solar just completed the entire installation and implementation of our home solar system. I am nothing but satisfied over the entire process from beginning to finish. I did compare Ambrose with another well-known company, and Tory from Ambrose had given me a much better presentation and pricing. After I decided to have Ambrose install the solar system, all the Ambrose staff involved kept me informed every step that was going through and what needed to be done with my homeowners association. I basically sat back and waited for them to take care of the entire process. The installers came on 2 hot days to install 43 panels; but they displayed pleasant demeanor and professionalism. They explained all the questions I had for them and took away the roof tiles I didn’t want to keep. The office support staff are all polite and pleasant. They would efficiently find out answers that they were not familiar with and responded back to me. All the timelines they told me were on target. I highly recommend Ambrose Solar to those who are thinking about going solar.

Recently we had a battery backup installed for our older solar panels. We consulted with two different companies and decided to go with Ambrose Solar after talking at length with Carson. He spent lots of time with us going over our numerous questions. We were impressed with his expertise and detail with his answers, that we look for. One of the many reasons that we chose Ambrose was because in their pricing they were going to handle everything from start to finish including helping us go through the extensive paperwork with PGE to get our rebates and approvals for the battery.Stephanie in the office was a gem in doing the project management and all the paperwork. Every step was expressed to us before it occurred, so that we knew what was going to happen, and what we needed to do on our part. We had no idea how complicated the paperwork was with PGE, and Im sure that we would be wasting our time trying to figure it out ourselves had we had to do it on our own. And we are paperwork and detailed people.Besides Stephanie and Carsons help, the installers did a great job. They kept us abreast of their timeline for the two day installation, and we appreciated the communication. At the end of the process Carson spent time explaining the Tesla app and even suggested things we could do in the future to lower our PGE costs. We cannot say enough about the company and staff, and the system is working great thus far. Thank you Ambrose!

Ambrose Solar just installed solar on our house in December. The entire process was very professional. I also liked that there was never any sales pressure from Ambrose for me to go with them. They presented it to me and then gave me time to do some research. The install was very professionally done. The two small electrical boxes were mounted on the inside of our garage. The conduit was run through our attic. This made for a very clean look. All you can see from the outside are the solar panels. I would highly recommend Ambrose Solar.

Ambrose Solar did our system and we are very satisfied. We got a lot of quotes and I felt our salesman Paul from Ambrose was one of only two of all those we spoke to that was direct and no nonsense while still being extremely informative. They installed our solar much faster than the other quotes we had received and handled all paperwork to PG&E in a timely manner. The only delay was waiting for PG&E to approve which took ages, but during this time their rep Carissa was not only communicative if I had questions but actively reached out to me to let me know we werent forgotten and it was still being worked on. From beginning to end we felt taken care of, and now that our solar is approved and working were thrilled to be producing enough to cover our usage even during the recent heat wave. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone in their service area looking for solar.

I was considering getting solar for my home for quite some time. With NEM 2.0 ending in a couple months, I knew I had to either get it installed soon or wait and be satisfied with NEM 3.0. There were so many choices out there, and I didn’t know where start and who to ask. This was due in part from the variety of experiences other people had. I did my due diligence, got on the internet and researched several local solar companies. One of the companies was Ambrose Solar. Long story short, Ambrose Solar was the highest rated on Yelp. I sent an inquiry via their website and was contacted immediately by Lani. Lani set me up for a consultation with Carlos, who explained in very simple terms how solar worked. Carlos was upfront about the cost of solar and explained exactly how much solar we needed based on our usage (and future usage for an EV). We then signed our Sunpower Agreement with Carlos. From there, Pamela put us in contact with Vincent, the project manager, who set us up with the pre-site inspection. Vincent worked with us throughout the installation and PG&E Interconnection. Vincent was easy to get in touch with, and he always returned my phone calls and email messages promptly. During the engineering and design phase, Stephanie helped us get our paperwork submitted to the city. After the installation was complete, Mark contacted us two weeks later to follow up on our solar project.I am completely satisfied with Ambrose Solar. I understand that they were extremely busy the first half of this year helping other customers install their solar before the NEM 2.0 deadline. But the Ambrose Solar team went above and beyond to guide me through the process and help me get solar for my home.

My family and I had an amazing experience with Ambrose and I would definitely recommend. We spoke to two other companies before deciding on Ambrose. Our rep, David, was very helpful right from our first meeting. It can be daunting trying to understand the process and different options. David was never pushy or trying to sell us. We felt very comfortable asking A LOT of questions. He was genuine in trying to help us and he answered our questions via text and zoom when we needed to consult him while trying to make our decision.Once we made the decision to go with them, it was smooth sailing after - lots of communication from Ambrose staff on the next steps, asking us along the way how things were doing and if we had any questions.Only room for improvement that I can think of is we had one (or 2?) installers come inside our house without masks. I wish anyone coming into our house by default would know to wear a mask (and wear shoe coverings). On the plus side, I just needed to call the office staff once about these requests and it didnt happen again.I highly recommend Ambrose - great communication, friendliness, promptness and quality of product. Our panels turned out beautiful and sleek!

Wife and I been looking into solar for years and finally it made good financial sense to make the switch. Have had my solar running know for a month and a half and am super happy with the results. Our electric bill is in the negative in the middle of summer when we run our air conditioning all day long. The crew at Ambrose did a terrific job installing 27 panels on my roof and got the work finished in 2 days. When changing out my power panel outside the city inspector told me he never has to worry about the work done by Ambrose Solar. Said he couldnt say that about every solar company. If you are thinking about going with solar I highly suggest you try calling Ian at Ambrose Solar.

We were referred to Ambrose from a friend of ours who had done his research and did compare them with other solar providers and they were the best rated, had the best panels and the cost was comparable if not better. With the new NEM 3.0 law coming in April we needed to get solar ASAP. I called to get a quote and was given three options and we chose Sunpower M series panels. They were definitely more expensive but the quality and warranty make up for the cost difference, the break even point is 6.6 years. The next step was to get our roof inspected which happened fast and the initial proposal was used and the cost was exactly what was quoted. Next it was time to get permits from the city which happened fast and we were ready to schedule installation but I had to get approval from the HOA first which was definitely a process but was approved very quick as well. We were able to schedule install quickly and the process took 2 days and be ready it is very noisy so be prepared. The crew was great and answered all of my questions and told me what the next steps would be. Next up was the final inspection which happened 2 days after and Ambrose provided a rep for the city inspector which took about an hour. Now the last step before being able to turn on the system is get PG&E to approve the system which Ambrose does all the paperwork, you just have to sign one paper electronically. I was expecting to wait 30 days but they only took 4 days so then we were ready to turn on our system. I called Ambrose and they walked me though the process and we were up and running! They scheduled a follow up call for 2 weeks and this was just to answer any questions I might have and then schedule a follow up call for 6 months from now. The app is great, it shows live what solar is producing and what we are using so if you want to know what appliances use its a great app, it even shows what each individual panels are producing to ensure they are working at their peak performance. I would highly recommend Ambrose!

My experience with them has been no different, as they make you feel like family as they explain in detail the process and answer questions all throughout the process.Adam Hedemark was awesome in his presentation of Ambrose’s services, all of our options, and the price on several packages. Adam answered all of our calls throughout our decision making process, and made our decision to go with Ambrose a no-brainer. Our Project Coordinator Daryn Nieto was great to work with, and extremely friendly and punctual with all of our needed documents for the closure of our project. She was another person that we could reach out to anytime and receive help from, and she always kept us in the loop of updates on our installation.Our family (three households now) would highly recommend Ambrose Solar for anyone in the market for solar. I am so thankful that our family found Ambrose, and I know that more people in our family are now looking to add Ambrose as well–we have a big family :-). We are really happy with our solar system. The staff at Ambrose are extremely friendly, professional and accommodating. You can tell that customer service is their number one priority. I would recommend them to anyone thinking about going solar.That being said, I’d like to share three areas where there’s room for improvement:1) After the system was fully installed and turned on, it took about 4 weeks for it to work correctly on the Sunpower app. The monitoring was all haywire. Apparently, some wires were installed incorrectly. Not a big deal. Things like this happen in life. But the disappointing part was when I called to have someone come check things out, they said it would take two weeks for someone to come by. Twice this happened, totaling four weeks that the system gave bizarre readings. I’m very happy to know that Ambrose is a successful business and they are very busy, but it was a real bummer to see the system turned on and not work for a number of weeks because something was installed incorrectly. I feel like it should have been a higher priority for them. It really took the joy out the whole “your new solar system is now live!” experience.2) A number of areas on our house needed to be painted after the electrical boxes were installed. We had just had our house painted a year earlier so I made a point to tell Ambrose in person and over the phone the specific color, brand and paint sheen. Sure enough, they took a paint chip from the side of the house to Home Depot and got the closest matching color in a flat sheen. Considering our house (and most houses) are painted with a semi-gloss, the paint didn’t match at all. After I sent Ambrose some photos of the cheap, flat paint not matching our house, they went and bought the right one and sent someone by to fix it. It looks great now, but I wish Ambrose would have listened to me about what specific paint to get.3) If you are planning on financing your solar loan through Ambrose’s partner, Dividend Finance, please think twice! We were told by Ambrose that we could make extra interest free payments on our solar loan. It even said in the “Dividend Loan Guidebook” that you could make extra interest free payments. Well, come to find out that Dividend will NOT let you make extra interest free payments. My first month, I made a few extra payments and then after checking my account, I saw that a portion was taken out for interest on every payment. Several phone calls with Dividend finance later, and after being told several different answers as to why I couldn’t make interest free payments, I finally was able to argue them into honoring the agreement that I signed up for. Dividend told me that the guidebook I was given was “out of date” and that I should never had been told I could make those extra interest free payments. Nowhere did it say that this loan was front loaded. Please know that if you sign with Dividend finance, 100% of your payments go to interest. Every single payment. For years! Because of this, I plan to pay off this loan completely over the next several months. I’m only able to do that because I was able to make my case to some manager at Dividend. Check out their google reviews if you want to see what people are saying about that company. After I realized what kind of company Dividend finance was, I immediately told Ambrose. Hopefully, in the spirit of good customer service, they’ve dropped them and are now working with a better loan company.

After getting 3 estimates I chose Ambrose Solar because the owners are local and their price was very compatible and the SunPower panels are considered by many to be the best in the industry. After months of frustration dealing with the parent company, Sunpower, regarding a solar system that had reached its useful life (toasted inverter), I called Ambrose Solar for a solution. At first, I met with Paul B., who had planned a neighbors solar system. He walked my roof, took a bunch of measurements, and explained thoroughly, all the options I had to regain energy from the sun. He didnt bother me with individualized breakdowns on every little detail. Just gave me how much energy I needed at what price so I could basically keep my PGE electric bill to a minimum. About a week later, the process began. The installation crew, Marcelino O (lead), Tony G (Battery/Inverter), and Ruben L and Imanol L (roof panels) arrived, fully equipped, organized and efficient. These guys worked together brilliantly, with no confusion. Their timing for each step was perfect and they completed the entire job in one day, even two days were allotted. No waste, no damage of any kind and they picked up every tidbit of material at the end of the day. I believe this project would not have been as flawless as it was were it not for the efforts of the Project Coordinator, Noelle F. Now, one week after the installation, I had a visit by Michael O. to assist in preparing the site for the City Inspector to sign off on the project. Michael also did a superb job getting me hooked up with the Tesla phone app. All these people, and Im sure a lot more back at their facility, worked together to build an energy solution for my home. Ambrose was my third experience with a solar company and easily the best. My previous experience was with Solar City (bought by Tesla) and Vivint (bought by SunRun) and neither were pleasant.It seemed Ambrose was on top of everything - and punctual. Everything from phone calls to meetings to installation was on time or early. When I went for a quote, I contacted multiple companies and Ambrose got back to me the fastest. Tory gave me the presentation, and I was given multiple options that broke down the panel types, size of the system, and the price. It was easy to compare apples-to-apples and easy to make an informed decision. I was fortunate that I knew birds were a problem already, and they seamlessly added some bird deterrent to the install cost (net/wire around the panels). Even after the initial call, Tory sent even more options over to help me decide what worked best for me.My neighbors had some panels installed on their house (through a different company) and I watched as it took over a week to install it all. Ambrose did mine in one DAY. They showed up within 5 minutes of when they said they would and knocked it out quickly. They had to come back a couple times for fine tuning (connecting the system to the internet, getting inspector approval, tweaking some of the wiring), but it was all painless and I didnt even have to be home for it.After the wiring was set up, they came back, color matched the paint on my house, and painted the conduit to blend it in. Then gave me the extra paint. I didnt expect any of that but appreciated it.PGE was the biggest roadblock in the process, waiting for their approval. While waiting, Ambrose kept in constant communication with me and never left me in the dark. I received weekly texts (my preference) from Bri asking if I had any questions, and she was always quick to respond.We had one hiccup after the panels were installed and activated - some problem with how the app/website reported power usage. I reported it to Bri, and it was fixed by the NEXT MORNING. Other companies I dealt with before would take weeks.If anyone asks me for a recommendation on who to go with to get panels installed, Ambrose will be my go-to.

(I did tell my friend if it was one of the solar salespeople that hassle me when I’m shopping, I’ll refuse to do with them. They aren’t. I asked.) My experience was smooth and flawless and broken down as follows:Consultation:After giving Ian some basic information, he met with us to discuss what our “energy goals” were. I’m going to be completely honest here, I don’t see myself as a person with “energy goals.” However, it did get me to thinking how conservative we’ve been in using energy, and how nice it would be to crank the AC or heater without mentally calculating the loan I’ll need to pay off PG&E. After showing us an array of options presented in layman’s terms, we were able to choose a configuration that perfectly suited our needs.The Process:Ian clearly communicated what to expect at each step of the process, and how long each step would take (BTW, sale-to-install was about six weeks in my case). Throughout the process, Ambrose Solar gave me regular updates (but not obnoxious over-communication) of where we were at, what was required of me, and what I can expect to happen next. They were very accommodating to my schedule and met at my convenience. They were punctual for the installation appointments too.Installation:The workers that came to our house were professional and courteous. Before each installation appointment, they explained why they were there and what they were doing. The main takeaway here is that I wasn’t inconvenienced at all by any of the installations (I think for one of them the power was off for a few hours).Post-Install:Ambrose doesn’t just set it and forget it. I’ve had several follow-up calls, and a meeting post-install to make sure everything is working fine and that all of my questions and concerns have been addressed. For aesthetics, this didn’t factor much into our decision-making, but now that it’s up there, I think it looks pretty good. Also, I love the monitoring tools available.I highly recommend Ambrose Solar for your solar needs. You can’t go wrong with their trustworthy, reliable, and efficient service.

Paul was so great in explaining their panels and even had demo panels to show us quality and construction compared to other solar panel vendors. No other company did that with us. The field office is so sweet and very punctual when it comes to responding to you. What puts the cherry on top? The fact that you can text the field office your questions and more and they respond to you via text if you prefer! I mean, thats really convenient and personable. I would highly recommend Ambrose. We had been researching solar and had talked to 2 companies and got quotes, when my friend told me about Ambrose. They were so happy with the process and customer service, we decided to meet with them as well. We are so glad we did! Ian came out and met with us. We had a ton of questions and he was patient with us and answered all the questions. He gave us a quote but was totally no pressure. Gave us realistic expectations about install process and timeline. The panels have been on for almost a month now. We could not be happier. The process was seamless. Heres another review I have for Ambrose Solar in Vacaville.My family and I were gone for one year and returned to Fairfield only to discover that our Sun Power PVS6 monitoring device (box) was not communicating for several months. Although the panels were producing power, the energy production data was not captured since February 2023.I called Ambrose Solar who installed my panels back in July 2020 and once again they went above and beyond! Chyenne (if I spelled her name correctly), answered all my calls and was always courteous and helpful. Audrey from the service department is a ROCK STAR - she did everything she could to see if she can fix my PVS6 problem remotely, more than I could ask for. Eventually she sent Joe, another rock star (quite literally since he was in a band) and was the coolest technician Ive ever met.The issue was not fixed but at the end of the day, Joe told me the next plan of action. Audrey once again helped me with this process along with Andrew who kept me informed. Joe came back and not only installed my new PVS6, but guided with the new features on the mySunPower app.And if you are ever considering batteries for your solar panel, ask for Adam who will definitely answer all your questions (about batteries and plans) along with great recommendations.I did a lot of inquiries back in 2019 about solar power companies and I made the right decision with Ambrose. I am definitely recommending them again because of the awesome people who work here.

What an exceptional team!I used Ambrose for Sun Power solar panels and Tesla Battery. I had received proposals and sales people & did research over the course of a year and this company and the product offering was the best for me. From the first appointment with Paul to everyone I’ve talked to in the office, Noelle, Janell, and Tristan (I’m sure I’ve missed a couple) everyone has been so pleasant and helpful to work with. While we had a few hiccups with our association, you guys were wonderful, understanding and accommodating. Also, a shout out to the installation team. The guys were on time, kept us informed every step of the way, professional and friendly. Great experience from start to finish. We began researching solar companies a year ago when we purchased our home. There were so many companies to choose from and so much information to learn. After a ton of research and reading reviews, I quickly realized that Ambrose was the way to go. Everyone from the get go was so responsive, friendly, and honest. Paris took in all of my questions, Paul came to my house and educated us on all things solar, in a way that we really understood, Pamela and Aubrey kept us in the loop and communication was wonderful. They even kept to their word and paid for two of our PGE bills while we were waiting for our installation. Before I go into a whole paragraph on how amazing this company did. I want to disclose I have the worse luck ever.. with anything.With that being said. WOW what a smooth process!Me and my boyfriend had no idea where to start we just knew we wanted solar. Chelsea SOLD us. She explained everything so well, walked us through a breakdown of the process and what to expect. She set us up with Ian who Face Timed us to get the ball rolling and I really have to say he was such a pleasure! We were nervous and he made it so comfortable to talk to, express concerns and make sure were getting the best deal for us.Installation was the next step and although we were told ETA of our panels could be a little longer due to conditions. We were contacted the whole time until our initial installation, Noelle was awesome! Kept us in the loop with every step. And honestly they came in pretty quick! Pat called to scheduled installation and gave us a couple days to pick from that would best work for our schedule. He was so patient. He let me call him back so I can get my affairs in order. Installation day finally came and Jose and his team seriously killed it. I have been a sunpower fan since I was doing research for a modular adu I helped project manage in 2021. Working with the company as a customer has been amazing. The sales rep was knowledgeable and helped me make a decision easily, the project coordinator Carissa is thorough and I am most thrilled about the two electricians Carigan & Guilermo (Mamo). They showed up at 7:30am and worked for 12+ hours to switch out the main panel and get it passed through PG&E inspection and restore power. They even went the extra step to provide a generator so I could work during the day. They are thoughtful and careful with the project and just a delight to engage with. Even though these two had only worked together for 2 days- they had a great communication and even entertained my 5 year old at the end of a very long work day. There are still a few more steps in the project, but they are hands down one of the best companies I have worked with.

This is hands down the best company I had serve me. First thing is they listen to your needs and find ways to create custom solutions around you. I am a sceptic and had to ask hundreds of questions. I had my panels and PowerWall powered on around 12:30 on Thursday 9/26. The battery was charged by the time the sun went down.Around 20:30 the TV turned off for a second and the WiFi turned off. My first thought was that the PowerWall glitched or failed. Ambrose did a solar install on our roof and installed a home battery and EV Charger. Weve had the system for over two years now and we generate more electricity than we consume even with the vehicle. We havent had any issues. Justin C. and Irvine came out to assist with a replacement part and they were part of the team that originally installed the panels two years ago. So nice to see consistency in the people who work there. The techs are always professional and courteous. They also warranty the panels and the installs all in house. I was referred to the company by a close friend in Napa who was also happy with his intstall. Im located in the Oakland/Piedmont area and they serviced this area as well. Glad I went with Ambrose, I see on Nextdoor people looking for suggestions and you see so many people not happy with the company they settled on. We sailed through the inspection and navigating the process through PG&E. Theyre not going to be the lowest price but you get a better quality product and the service is really great. When you call them someone picks up and they follow up really consistently. The techs are great.

Ambrose solar designed and installed my system back 2021. They did a pretty solid work and the process went very smooth. Im very please with the workmanship and the results.I chose Ambrose because they were reputable and offer me long term support. However, when I needed their help expanding my system they drop me because of the slope in my roof. I respect they protect their employees but to be honest it didnt sound to be the reason. Regardless, they build my system and we discussed about potential upgrades down the road when signing the contract. Exceptions for returning customers are reasonable.Id still recommend Ambrose from a quality point of view. Keep in mind they like larger projects and may not always be there for you if your needs change. This is the main reason Im not giving them 5 stars.Update: Ian F. followed up with us to clear the misunderstanding and indeed made an exception for us. He walked us through the different options to expand the system in detail. He also shared more context on the reasons why our roof is an issue beyond safety concerns. Im pleased with the resolution and my concerns have been addressed.

I ran into a couple of small snags during the process and he fixed them SO quick, really the moment he heard of them...even got my panels on ahead of schedule. She keep me up to date on the process the whole way through. There was not a day that went by that I didnt know what was going on. My experience with them became the worse experience I have ever had working with a company. Few weeks after installing a brand new solar system 14 panels out of 20 stopped working . I have been trying to work with Sunpower and Ambrose for months to replace the micro inverters. Apparently this was caused by the power surge during winter outages . I’m not an expert on this but this is $40k system and should have been designed to last 20 to 25 years. obviously there will be power outages and power surge issues which should have been considered in the system design . I was informed by SunPower that the issue also happened for other customers working with AmbroseUpdate: After 6 months of multiple calls with SunPower finally they shipped the new micro inverters. The Ambrose team has been trying to support me during this process and installed the new micro inverters at the end. To anyone reading this please make sure you have a whole house surge protection installed to protected such an expansive investment. I also hope Ambrose Solar will inform and also recommend this to their future customers.

My wife hired Ambrose Solar and was very impressed with the team with the main panel installation crew. Yesterday, we had the subpanel switch out as well as the solar panel installation. This was during a major heatwave and they brought a huge team to knock it out in one day. The solar team (Alex, Arnulfo, Leo, Kyle, Skyler & Diego) was very professional and consulted me with a few aesthetic designs. They also had to come in the house and wore masks which is very appreciated. They also painted the conduit and wires to match the house. The foreman when questioned if something should be painted said Even if we didnt do it, we should always try and make it look better which I think sums up the Ambrose philosophy. The 2 electricians: Brandon & Irvin had a very long day and provided me with a generator during the day. They also patched up the area around the subpanel and asked if I wanted them to stay to do a final painting. They were thorough, polite and professional. This is by far the best crew in any field I have ever worked with!

Solid 5 star experience. I couldn’t have anticipated a better solar experience. I DID shop around and Ambrose was far above the competition in both price and in the product offering. They were upfront, honest, easy to work with, and every single person I had the opportunity of interacting with was a complete pleasure. The price for the panels was also reasonable & come with a 25 year warranty from Sun Power. Very happy with Ambrose Solar.

We have a ground mounted 9 kW system, 25 panels. It performs exactly as advertised and meets our needs completely. Paul did a great job evaluating the size of the system that we need and explaining how the process works. The construction crews did an excellent job in all phases of the installation. Noelle kept us well informed throughout the entire process - from permitting through construction and inspection and final approval from PG&E. She was even on the phone with me as we energized the system. Nothing but good things to say about Ambrose, Paul, Noelle, and Sunpower. Excellent service, excellent product.RickVacaville, CA

Im so glad I found Ambrose Solar!Researching which direction to go with Solar became an overwhelming task and my head was spinning. There are so many options and I felt like I was comparing apples to oranges.After reading the reviews of Ambrose, I contacted some of the reviewers and found that their experiences were authentic and consistently positive. From start to finish the Ambrose team was great. Every encounter was organized, friendly and professional.As a Financial Advisor by trade, numbers are very important to me. Ian took his time in the very beginning to make sure everything was very clear so I could be sure that I was going to get the best value for our specific needs.Our new system looks sleek and works like a charm. I just love watching that meter go backwards!!! We had completed a whole house remodel last year (top to bottom!) and thought we had made the home very energy efficient but still, the SunPower system is making a big difference in our PG&E bills.I am a happy customer. Just purchased an off grid home that had been neglected in the energy department for some time. I didn’t know where to start. It probably would have taken me a week and many trips to the store to figure it all out. (Probably thousands of dollars of my time) Bryce came out for a service call, and had things running within a few hours. Extremely satisfied. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. Would definitely recommend you give these folks a chance if you are looking for help with your solar system.

My wife and I have been thinking about “Solar” for many years. I’ve researched the industry, technology, panels, you name it. Environmentally, no question. PGE, no question. When I became aware of Ambrose Solar and looked them up on the website, I was impressed. The in depth sales presentation sold us .They installed my panels in one day with a knowledgeable and friendly crew. City permits, contact with PGE and sending me the apps to monitor the whole program was just another confirmation and commitment to their customer.

Talk about local, I went to elementary school with Ians wife. I went to middle school, high school and college with Ian and Pat. These guys are here to stay! When I found out that Ambrose Construction was offering Solar I got excited. After meeting with 10 different solar companys and looking at pricing and warranty, Ambrose Solar was able to not only compete but gave me the best service. Within weeks I had solar and started producing power and saving money! Ambrose Solar is a company I trust. They were good guys in high school which you cant say for most people, LOL. The only negative thing I could say was that they were hard to find on the internet and thats why Im writing this review! People need to know about this company
