Started out great. Next day consult, went well and thought price was fair for brand new wiring and install of ceiling fan. They said would be in next day to install between 8-9 a.m. They called at 7:50 a.m. said they would be in between 9 and 11 a.m. That was a little frustrating, therefore the 4 stars. After job was done, they also forgot to turn on one of my breakers. Overall though, a job well done.

We were in need of troubleshooting services for a recessed niche light in the backyard that was not illuminating when the power was turned on. A loose connection on the underground low voltage wires was suspected, but where to find the bad connection among multiple splices along the daisy-chained installation was a challenge. Jorge Valladares of Aleco Electric was more than up to the task! After we excavated more than 6 inches of planter soil above to trace the routing of the underground low voltage wiring feeding the niche lights, Jorge tested each set of spliced wires until finding the faulty connection. He repaired the connection and applied new electrical tape over the wire nuts for additional security and protection. The niche light is now working again! We are very pleased with the service from Jorge Valladares and Aleco Electric and would not hesitate in calling on them for future electrical repairs.

We had just had a house fire & the electrical was shut off & in order for it to get turned back on I had to deal with finding an electrician to come over to my house to find a breaker that feeds the sub panel in my garage where the fire had started so there was no power in that part of my house. I was upset because of the fire & losing a lot of Holiday decorations, & having to deal with getting an electrician out to my house, but when Jorge showed up he had a big smile on his face, & he was friendly, funny, & professional. Had power go out Monday, 7/8 at 9am in middle of heat wave! Quickly checked online and found Aleco Electric. Quickly booked appt for next day at 4pm. Coordinated to meetet technician at home. After a quick check of all electric panels, he located a bad circuit breaker and for a very fair, minimal service charge and reasonable breaker replacement charge, my house power was back up and running! Due to extreme heat, my dogs and I spent one more night away with family and returned early the next morning. For a widowed, 70 yr old the service was great and quick and within my fixed budget. Will use again and highly recommend to anyone in a similar situation!

I google the repair price and it was in line with the quote. Somehow we were able to fix the doorbell transformer issue. Aleco waived the quote and down payment fee. So pretty much we got a fix for free! Calling and reaching them was easy, no complicated machines. I would recommend them. March 2024.

First of all, the multiple phone calls we had with them to establish the necessary work needed and determine the cost of the work were very positive. George was very communicative and quick to respond to our phone calls. On our calls, he was very patient with all of our questions.On the day of the job, the team showed up right on time and ready to go. Once there, they were incredibly professional and efficient with their time.I was home alone with the contractors while my husband was at work for the day. As a woman, I felt completely safe and comfortable with all 4 male contractors. They were respectful the whole time. After they were done, they swept up all the mess that was made and left the rooms as is. Overall, Im very satisfied with their work and would recommend them to others.

The only glitch was overlooking my veterans discount for the additional work, which was quickly corrected.

Contacted Alco Electric regarding a new motor instal that was not performing as expected. Previously, three similar (so I thought) installed motors had not given any problems and were performing flawlessly. Therefore, this new situation was giving me a head ache and my customer was expressing frustration.Mike from Alco Electric arrived to my location and within 15 minutes explained why the motor was not performing as expected. With this new information, I contacted my local distributor and after a short debate, I was forced to call the vendor directly who confirmed the wrong motor was ordered by the distributor.So, with these two nuggets of knowledge, I returned to the distributor and forced him to eat crow and order another motor.It’s unfortunate that in todays climate, doing the right thing is difficult for some people; but in Alco Electric’s case, they hit a home run with me.I will continue to use Alco Electric for all my electrical needs. About a week ago I had a very unusual electrical issue in my condo in Walnut Creek. I am very experienced with house wiring but this one baffled me. I called the condo management to ask who the would recommend. This proved to be an utter waste of time. I was w/o A/C for several days during some extreme hot days/nights! After several A/C repair service visits, I was told that the problem was electrical. An A/C service person recommended Aleco. Because I was desperate to get my A/C working after several nights of no sleep, I agreed to an outrageous price for a weekend emergency repair service visit. The individual that arrived late on a Sun evening stated that there was nothing wrong with my electricity & argued that the A/C repair service person was wrong & proceeded to argue with me without going into the attic to check and did absolutely nothing other than to collect the outrageous fee! Upon calling Aleco the following morning, not only did they schedule someone right away to come back & fix the electrical problem, but they also didn’t charge me for the return visit & said that the huge emergency price that I’d paid over the weekend covered all repairs & return visit. AND my A/C been working perfectly ever since! I highly recommend Aleco & I won’t hesitate to call them again should any electrical problems be needed in my home! Thank you Tony & Aleco!

It was a bad battery in the carbon monoxide detector. He was very professional and didnt charge us for the inspection. We will call this company for any electric repairs we need done in the future.

Very expensive but they do great work. They can be lare getting to your hone or job site,but they will get there before the end of close of business. Very professional at least the technicians are but the office staff ,needs more training. I also dont like being told by the office that they will charge one price in the end but they charge a total different amount. I hope its just a mistake. I will be calling them when the office opens. Yes I will use them on my rentals again.

The Aleco Electric team has been an incredible help on my full home electric upgrade. I purchased a historic home from 1893 that required a full electric upgrade from knob-and-tube wiring as part of a full home renovation to the studs with a full basement installation simultaneously. The team was very thorough and supportive throughout the project despite many modifications and adjustments to the original scope of work and dealing with the city of Palo Alto to undermine/bury all utility lines, a 400amp upgrade to the main service panel and working with Tesla to install solar roof tiles and backup batteries in the detached garage. The project is near completion, much of the delays due to backorder items and requests to make adjustments by the city. Throughout the process, Aleco were always able to work around the schedule to accommodate the back and forth with vendors and utility department. I have used them before on a multi-family rental property and their scope of work ranges from residential to commercial. Really seasoned group of people. 5 Stars for Aleco. Mike T. was here within an hour of us making an emergency evening call to them last month. He was able to immediately fix our problem and get power back on that evening. He assessed the damage and recommended some upgrades that were all possible contributors to the original problem. Aleco started scheduling the work to be done, contacting PG&E, submitting the permits the next day.Tito and Fox were the electricians that performed all of our upgrades, replacements, and repairs. Not only are they professional, but they are personable. We didnt have to do anything to prep for them, or clean up after them. They do it all and they cleaned the work areas before they left.I would have no problem calling them again or referring them to friends and neighbors.GREAT JOB!!

After a full house electrical shock caused by a sudden short in a circuit panel, Aleco had to rewire the entire house. And all knob-and-tube completely replaced by modern wiring. In a large old 3 story house. The project dominated the house for two weeks but was handled competently and effectively by Aleco staff and office.I would use Aleco again for my wiring. They also added a house upgrade to 220 since I have solar, electric car charger, and hope to replace more gas appliances.

We had a flaky circuit breaker that was +20 yrs old and wouldnt come out easily. the guy came out, tested the circuit, replaced the ckt breaker w/o issue, inspect the panel and reported that the panel should be upgraded due to wear. bill was very reasonable. we got a quote for a new panel for future reference. will most likely plan for it during early next year.
