A tale of two plumbers. I just had the experience of working with two different plumbing companies in Palm Desert over the past two weeks. One company was great ..... the other was horrible. Thought it would be helpful to comment on the great one.... Southwest Plumbing (SWP).Luis from SWP came out on Christmas Eve to deal with a big sewer backup problem (the same issue that the horrible plumbing company was supposed to have fixed two weeks prior). We had a house full of family and were in a panic about the prospect of no toilets or showers on Christmas... but Luis showed up within an hour of our call and then diligently went about finding and resolving our problem. Fair price, prompt professional service and positive results..... thank you Southwest Plumbing!Now..... time to write the other companys review ..... is it possible to post zero stars?

These guys came out to my mobile home in Thousand palms and fixed a leak in a timely and professional manner. Their price was fair and the plumbing fix has not had any issues since they did the work over a year ago. I would recommend this company to family and friends.

I wanted to write and give a shoutout to Southwest plumbing. Our water backed up last week into several showers, and Southwest was out to snake it within 3 hours. They also suggested using a camera because they suspected something was in the line. They returned several days later with a camera and found a pipe lodged inside line very close to the citys main sewer line! Not sure how long this pipe has been there as we just moved in less than three years ago, but it is too dangerous to leave there. Because the pipe was lodged near the central city line, the fix to retrieve it would be over 13k. Greg from Southwest suggested they could also attempt to retrieve but could not make any promises. So, using a camera and a snake, Alex came over patiently and eventually recovered this pipe, thus averting future potential issues and also having to tear up the street to dig in to get it. Overall, this was stressful, and I found everyone at Southwest to be great, and I would not hesitate to make them my go-to plumbers in the future.

I have used them for years and honestly they have been fantastic. I have dealt with other services that have been pricier and far less reputable. I have been in the desert for 20 plus years and am always grateful I can reach out to them and not someone else. Not sure what the bad reviews are about.

25 Jan 16 - On Sunday, the 15th, we had a plugged master bath toilet. I attempted to clear it several times with a plunger. Didnt work. I called a few plumbing companies on Sunday. Too costly, or their schedule was full until later in the week. I waited until Monday, and I called a couple local plumbing companies in our area. Southwest Plumbing had been recommended (on Sunday) by a representative of another company. Southwests receptionist (Maritza) was very courteous, helpful, and informative. Everything explained about cost, cost additions if necessary, etc.Zeke, the plumber, arrived quickly, did the clearing with a toilet snake device within 15 minutes, and was very informative. I asked him about a different problem, and he checked the house water pressure. It is at the correct reading, so the problem is resolved in my mind.Zeke is knowledgeable and efficient. The company is fortunate to have someone of that caliber.I will recommend Southwest Plumbing to any who ask about the same problem we underwent with the toilet.

We had a great experience with this company. As a property management company sometimes it is difficult to authorize service call for unknown repairs, but after two other companies stated that the water heater needed to be replaced we called Southwest Plumbing who was able to repair the hot water heater and get a warranty call for the parts necessary.

I accidentally clogged our sink and didnt expect Southwest Plumbing to be available in such short notice but they were! Greg and Luis were amazing to work with! Quick, respectful, and knowledgeable.

It seemed like a simple fix, but it turned out to be more than that. The first technician recommend we use an equipment that he did not carry that day. The following day a different technician came out and solved the problem. I cannot say enough for them to be prompt and efficient. The price that was charged was more than reasonable. I will use them again.

Have used them several times in detecting and repairing underground leaks. Very hard working crew, worked through the night until repairs were completed at 5:00 AM. Very happy with their service.
