    When our air conditioner failed a few years ago, we called someone and they told us it was out of warranty and needed to be replaced. We got a second opinion from general air they were able to fix it under warranty and its been running great ever since. My family will only use general air conditioning and plumbing. We trust them, we believe their prices are fair and reasonable, and they always get the job done. No one better in my opinion.

    In my case, replacement of the entire air conditioning and heating system was the best option. Rumor has it that I could’ve received the same job for less cost had I investigated other companies. As it is, the crew that handled this installation did a good job, were polite, and clean, and I appreciate the service. I may have paid more than I needed to, but I was happy with the work. They also did what they said they were going do in a very timely manner (no delays). The company included parts that were not anticipated at no additional cost. (They gave me a quote and there was no add on.)

    Had an old water heater replaced. Old water heater just stopped working. General Plumbing answered my call immediately and had a plumber out by the afternoon to diagnose the issue. They managed to get the old heater working but we all agreed it was time for a new heater. Within a couple of days they returned and replaced the old heater. Ricardo and crew were efficient and professional. They made sure the installation was to city code (we will have inspected shortly). They answered all our questions. Gave us tips on proper care and maintenance. For any plumbing emergency or need, give them a call.

    We had to replace our HVAC system and the General is the contractor Costco uses. We were very happy with our decision, they are professional and knowledgeable. Every aspect was top notch. Would recommend to anyone. We had our mandatory inspection by the State and were told our new system met and exceeded all requirements as to installation and equipment. Very happy.

    Our comfort adviser Lorenzo was very patient and helpful. He performed a detailed assessment in my attic to determine the best option to correct the lack of airflow issue we were experiencing. Wasn’t afraid to get his uniform dirty being in my attic. He answered all our questions. His work ethic is well appreciated. Mauricio and his team did a fantastic job on my ac unit replacement. Showed up on time, communicated well, cleaned up after themselves. He was a professional and hard working technician. Definitely will be using General air conditioning and plumbing again in the future for my repairs needs.

We have been members with them for many years, and every interaction with their team has been nothing short of awesome. Theyre not only helpful and efficient but also respectful and considerate of my time and home. What I truly appreciate is their commitment to transparency – they always take the time to thoroughly explain the situation and the work theyre doing. Recently, we have upgraded to a tankless water heater that much better suites our home, as well as upgrading the outdated panel and breakers and having fitting for solar in the future. Its reassuring to have a reliable company that stands by their work with such professionalism and quality up to date products.     Michael Irvin is an absolutely incredible technician who goes above and beyond to the nth degree. I got home from my daughter’s wedding to find our AC out on a 118 degree day. Michael came out and eventually determined I needed a new mother board. but the factory was saying they were backed up and it could take 6 months to get a new one. In the desert, we could be dead by then. My little 14 year old Maltese had been panting all night from the heat. Michael ripped a motherboard out of his own office to replace mine! This, after lying on the ground for hours trying to fix the unit in sizzling heat. I am so impressed with this company, and especially for this selfless man who should possibly be renamed Ghandi.

    Wow… what amazing service! Needed a condensation line put in asap in 113degree temperature. We have twin infants who were sweltering in this heat. We had no air conditioning. General sent Jorge out the very next day and he was efficient, professional and personable. I went ahead and purchased their service agreement because they were that good! Thank you General Air!

    Jorge was on time and immediately diagnosed the problem from the thermostat error dump. Errors started cropping up after July 5, until the system shutdown around July 10th. I could see there was a problem remotely on the thermostat when the thermostat shutdown. General was able to get someone out here within my timeframe as I was out of town. The system needed Freon and a very thorough cleaning. I had never seen it so dirty. Due to low Freon, the system was stressed out.

    My technician was Hernandez, Jorge. I had a 5-7 service window and he arrived right at 7 which is understandable in the 120 degree heat in July, saving people from the heat. He was quick, very friendly, and luckily my fix was just Freon.

    Christian came out in a timely manner was very polite. I told him I had checked the fuses and breakers on the UNIT. He showed me 1 thing that I really didn’t think to check and that was the Main source of power. It’s a park model (trailer) so it was the parks power that SOMEONE had shut off. We are from out of town and come here once a month. So needless to say it was a learning experience for me and a pricey one 😀 also. But it’s fixed and we are good to go. Once again the General came through.

    General Air Conditioning did a fantastic job at my home. They installed four new units at my home replacing 12 year old units that were loud and having problems with new quiet units that are much more silent and efficient. I’ve literally been showing my friends how beautiful the workmanship was that Julio and his brother did at my home. They came when they said they would and stayed way past 5pm to get everything done and perfect.They replaced the old ductwork that look like it was cobble together with beautiful clean new ductwork. Then also covered the entire platform that the furnace and air conditioner sits on with sheet metal and it looks spectacular.     This was my very first time using this company and I will continue to use them time and time again thanks to George!George from The General Plumbing and Heating came to our home today for a service call to fix our air conditioner.After many, many failed attempts at using other companies that either didn’t show up for scheduled appointments, did shoddy work or tried to overcharge us, we finally found a really great company and a solid, honest and knowledgeable professional technician in George! George is pleasant, has great energy, experienced in his field and explained everything in detail in layman’s terminology. My only regret is that I hadn’t found this company and George sooner!     Julio and Hector installed a Lennox heat pump system in my home recently. They did an excellent job of installation, were on time, completed the job in the time they had told us and left the home and surrounding areas neat and clean. Prior to start of installation they laid out protective cloths and walks since the air handler was in the attic. They kept me informed of the work progress and worked unobtrusively throughout the day so that thier work hardly bothered us at home where we have a student and two work-at-home workers. I would highly recommend Julio and Hector.

    Very professional. Made sure they explained everything they would need to do and the proposed cost before starting the job. We were very thankful for their alerting us to a water pressure issue that could have been very damaging and very costly if left uncorrected. They started promptly at 8:00am and worked till the job was finished and cleaned up around 9:00pm.They totally uninstalled and then reinstalled, repiped and reworked a prior tankless water heater system that had been very poorly installed by another plumbing company and was constantly problematic.They also replaced a recirculating water system from another company with a much more efficient “Halo 5” system that we are much more pleased with.Though these new upgrades were a bit costly, we felt they were necessary and well worth the price to keep our home running safely and more efficiently. Hopefully saving us some money in the future.Your whole General team has been maintaining and servicing our plumbing and HVAC for over ten years and now you have added electrical to your maintenance plans….thank you

    We had an overall good experience with General air conditioning and the servicemen were very knowledgeable and experienced. Our only complaint is that we wish they would’ve informed us that after everything was done, when we turned on the fan, a layer of soot was all over our condo. We weren’t sure if this occurred because of the work that was being done in the hallway closet that contains the furnace/fan, or if it occurred when we turned the fan on. Regardless, we are having to clean all surfaces, bedding, shower, curtains, walls, blinds, etc. We’re not sure if this could be avoided by closing doors, etc. but it would’ve been nice to have been informed of this prior to the work that was being done.

    Weve used the General since 2015 in Palm Springs. We inherited them when we bought our home and we couldnt be happier with the service. Theyre proactive with the biannual maintenance which gives peace of mind when the heat comes and you want your AC running efficiently. Theyre always pleasant when they answer the phone and show up for services calls. Ive never had to wait more than a day for a visit even during the hottest summer months. Weve had a few minor issues with the system over the years and most recently a clogged air return drain with the recent storms and they were out there within 24 hours to help figure it out. If you want a dependable, friendly, professional and trustworthy org to service your AC/Heating needs, give them a call.

    Once again, I was pleased with General Air Conditioning & Plumbing. The technician who came to do the annual maintenance check on my furnace was professional and personable. After he completed his assessment, he went over his findings and answered all of my questions and concerns completely. I also got a free plumbing inspection the next day and that plumber was also polite and professional. He explained the maintenance I can do on my own to prevent any future plumbing problems. Also he took care of some of my faucets that where not working properly free of charge. I also was called from their office to verify if I was pleased with their service or if I had any questions or concerns that I might of forgot at the time of service. Their service was professional and courteous.I don’t think many other providers in the valley would’ve taken the job on a weekday evening let alone stay for 5 hours to complete it!     The staff at General Air Conditioning & Plumbing are very professional and knowledgeable. A few years ago they replaced our HVAC system and it has been a blessing. This time around the came and installed a new water heater. They were in and out before we knew it. Great service and professionalism. I wont call anyone else! They earned my business and I highly recommend you give them a call for anything. They wont disappoint!

    Excellent, courteous, fast and thorough service. Everyone from phone staff to technician were helpful in resolving my A/C problem. The technicians, Kevin and Chris, we’re experienced, patient, and thorough in their repair visits.The General has been the best service provider I have utilized in the Coachella Valley. I have used them for A/C, plumbing, and water filtration. They are a top tier business that stands by its work!Hector Hurtado came today to check the plumbing system and was exceptional!     This was a regular 6-month A/C maintenance. Abraham, our HAVAC technician did a great job. He arrived on time, was friendly, courteous, & professional. Very easy to work with. He explained what he did for maintenance, and completed his work on schedule. Great Job. We are very satisfied.

    Just stopped by to say that I had a great experience with General Air Conditioning. Work was performed by technician, Christian G, who was professional, friendly, and very thorough. Service and repairs were done to my total satisfaction! My AC is cooling nicely, and running very quietly now.I couldnt be more pleased.

    Although we were a little set back by the cost of the repair, and the work is not yet completed, Mike took the time to clearly explain what needed to be done to repair our sewer line. Anthony is a courteous, trustworthy, hard-working professional. They work well as a team and are surely an asset to the company.

    Carlos was excellent in every way. He arrived in a crisp white shirt and got right to work. He showed me where the problems were and explained all of them in detail and completely. If I decide to replace my A/C unit, I will definitely hire the General to do it.

    I have been with general air for a number of years and my regular winter service was performed by 2 techs: Tim and Abraham. I am accustomed to wonderful service from this company and I was not disappointed by these to techs. In fact they were both cordial, accommodating and definitely professional in the work and in my opinion went beyond the call of duty.     We have used General Air for our HVAC maintenance for years now. They are always professional and extremely competent and accommodating. We are extremely satisfied clients. Our last technician, Mike has been out a few times and is friendly, always thorough and professional.
