Mathers Electric is an awesome and wonderful company. I got my generac generator from them 2019 (it powers the whole house) and have been very happy their service and courtesy! With the recent bad weather that went through Tallahassee, my generator began to run a little “rough” with a faint gas smell. Mathers send someone out in the middle of the storm to fix the problem! I believe the tech name was Rob but he was so awesome! He was in and out, problem solved! Also, thank you Nick and Peter who answered the phone with professionalism and courtesy! Mathers Electric for life!!!!!

This is a great business with great workers who show up and do their jobs with experience and dedication. You can tell that they are probably paid well and like their job and their place of work. I have used this business many times and they have earned my review The last 3 electricians to come to my property are John Paul, Zach & Terry all 3 great at what they do. Also Logan and Rena are very professional and you can count on what they tell you will happen and the price they quote is going to be on point. I did get 3 quotes on the work I had performed and they were the fastest to respond and surprisingly the best price and warranty.

I had Cameron and Logan come to my house to quote and then complete a job to add some outlets to my bathrooms. They were both punctual, friendly, knowledgeable and professional for both visits. The work was completed quickly and cleanly, and they were even nice to my dogs. Additionally, I had a bare GFI outlet (no cover) in one of my bathrooms and they covered it. They did not charge me, or even inform me that they did it. They saw it needed doing and did it. That’s something I don’t often see from professionals these days. I highly recommend using Mathers for your electrical stuffs. I’m having them install a generac whole home generator as well and so far they have been fantastic. If that changes I will update.

Mr. Mathers is the type of owner that has filled in for his people when he is short staffed. He wont have them do anything that he isnt willing to do. I would follow that type of leader anywhere. Last summer, Mathers Electric Company installed a whole house generator in my mothers home. The lead electrician and his electrician assistant did a masterful and thorough job. They were highly skilled and very effective communicators. The folks in the office at Mathers Electric are very efficient, responsive, and organized. The whole process was smooth and timely. Also, I utilized Mathers Electric to perform electrical work in my mothers home. The electrician and his assistant were highly skilled and did a great job. I will be calling on them for future electrical work. I highly recommend this company for any electrician work due to the outstanding and professional electricians and office staff.

These guys are good at their job. Had an experienced tech with someone who he was training which I think is the best way to learn. Both of them worked well together, were polite as could be with me and professional. My generac worked perfectly and they did not leave anything undone. We ordered our generator from Mathers Electric and they installed it as well. I was originally very nervous about the purchase. It was a big one and a critical one at that. Well, I need not have worried. My technicians were superb. Jeff is the smartest and sharpest electrical person I have ever met and went out of his way to be sure I was totally comfortable with our purchase. His assistant, Jamel, was equally courteous, warm and a remarkable protege. As a matter of fact, the entire office from the billing department to the scheduling department was on the ball and informative. You cannot go wrong with this company.

When I was in the process of purchasing a generator, the manufacturing company attempted to change an extended warranty promise that had been made. I have never been so impressed with any company as I was with MathersDuring the after math of the worst hurricane in our historythey came and made repairs to my home so the power could be restored.They charged a very fair price and did an excellent job.It was the down to earth friendly customer service which really made my day. I felt like I was among friends. I was treated with the utmost respect even though I looked like a mug shot and smelled badly. My father was an electrician who enjoyed every moment working in this very skilled trade. For two years, I was an apprentice under his guidance and instruction. Although he once told me that there was never a day in his life that he did not look forward to his job, I selected another road and became a counselor helping handicapped people return to work. Still, I often longed for the days as an apprentice electrician and seeing my work in very rewarding ways. Dad worked in West Palm Beach for a contractor, but at times wired projects that stand to this day, including the famed “Vehicle Assembly Building” that housed the rockets that were assembled to take Americans to the moon! Recently, on a trip to Orlando, I viewed that same building, very evident on the horizon, 37 miles away. “Dad helped build that!”I lead this review with that brief introduction. I do know what electricians do and respect their art, that is so critical to civilization. I also know of the very real dangers that accompany this knowledge, and how very unforgiving a mistake can become. When Mather’s Electric installed a generator at our home that not only involved the gift of electricity, but also that of natural gas, I marveled at the skill the electricians displayed. The care, attention to detail, and responsiveness to my questions exceeded all expectation!Recently, a hurricane passed through Tallahassee and we were without power, for all of ten seconds. The generator that Mather’s Electric installed a year ago came alive. Sixty-seven hours later, the city power came back on and our generator turned off, just as promised. I would not have expected anything different, given the care evident by the outstanding electricians that installed and maintained it.

Very professional service. Arrived 30 minutes earlier than expected. Quickly diagnosed the issue and repaired it. Even asked if there were any other issues to inspect. When we got the bill, it was almost half of what I expected it to be. I had asked a friend for a recommendation and he quickly suggested Mathers Electric. When I got to work the next day, another friend recommended the same company! I highly recommend Mathers Electric for all of your electrical needs.

We had a 22kw Generac Guardian generator installed by Mathers Electric back in July, 2014. It runs off our 250 gal. LP tank. Just last month Jeffrey of Mathers did a check up on it, and we had new plugs, oil and battery and system tests and checks.THEN Aug. 31st, and Hurricane Hermine came into our area. Without a pause, when the power went out that Wednesday night, the Generac came on & we had all our power again.For 3 1/2 days, the Generac ran without stop, without a stutter, with absolutely no problem whatsoever. We had a/c; had hot water & ran our well pump; we cooked, watched tv, got online; we were able to help our neighbors with storing food in the fridge & freezers, getting water, having hot coffee, cooling off, and more.Mathers Electric did an amazing installation job; extremely professional. The annual checkup is a real ease-of-mind saving. Jeffrey, the service tech, is very professional and knowledgeable. We are so glad we chose Mathers Electric, and chose the Generac. That generator is amazing: we lose power a lot out here in rural Gadsden County but the Generac has never let us be without power for more than 30 seconds.I would recommend Mathers Electric for any and all electrical needs. I had a fantastic experience with Mathers Electric from Jaybe Bowers first providing the quote to the quality of all their employees executing the work and finally, proving the system worked in a blackout when Tiger was making his final push on the final 9 holes on his way to winning the 2019 Masters. We switched to the Generac backup power within seconds! I cant say enough about Mikes employees friendly, efficient and professional attitudes in what turned out to be a pretty difficult installation. I had Chad and Anthony installing the Generac for nigh on three days, then Casey, Clyde and Adrian doing the wiring and installing the transfer switch from my well some 70 yards from the house. Andy and Brandon worked hard to complete the electrical installation of our new Rinnai tankless water heater. Jeff Harris did a stirling job on setup, testing and registration while Rena Combs coordinated the whole job from the main office and kept me informed of any issues. Everyones combined efforts resulted in two highly satisfied customers and installing a system that works. I have no hesitation about recommending them to install either a Generac and/or tankless water heaters. Theyre the best and I sincerely thank everyone involved.

I called them on May 5th about a Generator issue and Peter answered the phone, he was very helpful and courteous, said he could send someone out right away even though it was almost after hours. I told him that the following morning would be ok. The following morning bright and early their service tech John showed up and solved all my issues very quickly. John changed a warranty part and explained to me why the issue existed and gave me some maintenance tips. They are my go to electricians from here on and I highly recommend them.

I purchased a whole house generator through Lowes in Tallahassee. Mathers Electric was the Lowes contractor assigned to install it. I believe they install for Home Depot as well. Each and every staff person I worked with went beyond the call of duty in keeping me informed, showing up when they said they would, doing what they said they would do and navigating and coming back several times due to the poor performance, scheduling and delivery I received from the separate big name gas plumber I hired to connect the generator to natural gas. (Note: This cost isnt cheap, is not included in the price from Lowes and was not highlighted by Lowes either as a significant-ask and budget!) We finally decided to install an 8.5 KW grid-tied solar electric system on our workshop. After getting some quotes around town and online vendor/DIY websites, we chose Mathers Electric Co (MEC) to do the job. All aspects were handled professionally - from the design and quote process, to the actual installation. Im a bit of a technology geek, so had lots of questions. Mike at MEC worked with me on the solar equipment choices (there are many different options!) and worked diligently to oversee the installation and make it was done right and on budget. He also made sure to keep me up to date on the progress and inform me whenever weather was going to keep crews off the site on any given day. And speaking of the crews... they were also a pleasure - on time, always friendly, and they made time to talk and answer any of my questions as the work progressed. The system looks and works great - I highly recommend them!

I hired Mathers for small simple bathroom project. I expected the work to take about 4 hours which it did. They did a nice job with the work. What sets them above however is the fact that they cleaned up everything after they were done and protected the bathroom drain to keep materials from falling down it. I appreciate the care and respect they showed my home. Will definitely hire in the future.I just want to do a quick update on this review. I had Mathers come out to do my kitchen. I had zero idea I still had cloth wire in the kitchen but they made it their mission to get it all out. The electricians that came out are incredibly nice and I appreciate their attention to detail. I know my home is safe when they come out. I can’t recommend enough.

NOT ENOUGH STARS - TOO FEW SUPERLATIVESService from Mathers Electric has always been great and my most recent experience is beyond excellent.The Terrible Thursday storm on 4/27 resulted in a pine limb begin flung down onto my elevated power line that runs from the house to the meter pole. Both ends were ripped completely out and the wire was lying on the ground. I decided to call Mathers before 6am 4/28 hoping to leave a voice mail to get on the repair list.Ken answered!!! I explained my situation to him and he said he would send someone to check it out. By 7am, John Paul was on the property assessing the damage. He said he would have a crew here shortly.By 8am, Whit and Morgan were setting up for the repair. By noon my home was back online. In true Mathers fashion, all traces of work debris, etc. were gone. They made certain that my fabulous Generac was working with the restored service line and were on their way.As always, the crew was respectful of my property asking permission to drive on the grass and being very careful of the septic tank/drain field.Logan and Renee were also very helpful throughout this repair. Thank goodness for Mathers!

I selected Mathers Electric as the best out of three bids for a whole house generator. After signing the contract for a 20kw Generac I spoke directly with the owner, Mike Mathers. I have a respiratory issue that requires an uninterrupted electrical supply. Mike helped fast track the installation with the oversight of his super team leader, Rena. Everyone I interacted with at Mathers was professional, knowledgeable and patient. All in all I was glad I chose Mathers. I highly recommend this company.

I built my home and had a 22kw Generac whole home generator installed. Every two years I have the generator serviced by Mathers Electric. In August of 2019 they serviced the unit at the two year mark. Today they serviced the unit at the four year mark. We have had absolutely no problems whatsoever out of the generator since install in the summer of 2017. Today the service was performed within 24 hours of my initial call to Mathers. The technician sent, Logan, was quite possibly the most polite and respectful individual I have ever dealt with, as well as competent. I would recommend Mathers Electric to family and friends.
