    Our entire experience from design concept to project completion was PHENOMENAL. We are so in love with the functionality and beauty of our new kitchen--its exactly what we were hoping for! We have 5 kiddos and we love to cook and entertain--having a space look and feel like this is like having our own private restaurant. We wanted a warm and inviting space that kept in line with the style of our home, that accentuated the wood we have (and love) and had contrast and interest...I think we nailed it!We enjoyed working with everyone from the entire SIMS team, in addition to their subcontractors.     We hired Sims to remodel our kitchen and install a new front door with porch columns. We read all the reviews which seemed too good to be true and quickly found out we were working with the best. Dondi came to our house and we talked about function and storage. A short time later we went to Sims where we met Aaron one of the owners and saw Dondis design ideas. She thought of things we didnt and came up with a beautiful design. What inspired us to move forward with the project was the attention to detail, being assigned a project manager, Mike, receiving a calendar of who will be at the house and when. Twice we were 1 day ahead. Every Friday we got an email of what was accomplished that week and what to look forward to the next week. We knew when payments were due in advance. Every question was answered. Our designer, Dondi and project manager, Mike came to the jobsite often. Our neighbors were greeted by Aaron, letting them know of our project and apologized for any noise or vehicles in the way (we live in a cul-de-sac) providing them with a Kwik Trip gift card. Every consideration was taken to manage dust for our son who has an allergy to dust. Will you pay more for your project? Maybe. And we found it was worth EVERY penny for knowing our funds were respected, our time, our home and we got exactly what was offered. For once, its not too good to be true! You wont be disappointed! Sims is the real deal. We will be back in the future.

    We had a two ½ month interior house remodel with Sims. It was a full renovation of the kitchen, taking out a portion of a load bearing wall to create an open concept kitchen dining room and family room, upgraded the electrical service and replaced most of the flooring on our main floor.We were initially impressed with the 3D computer design that was created. I was concerned initially that without a kitchen for that length of time, that it would be a real challenge. However, from the start of the work process, contractors and timing were meticulously maintained. The weekly updates to work completed and scheduling for the following week was informative and was a major focus going forward. If there was a delay, Sims focused efforts and rescheduled contractors to get back on track.There were also a couple of “good catches”. One was the electrician noting the roof area by the service entrance was a little soft. Mike Hanna coordinated with their roofing side of the business to address the issue.I must say all the workers were friendly, cooperative, and engaging. Kind of almost fun to have around. From the demo guys, electricians, flooring guys, carpenters, cabinet workers drywallers, etc. All were great. Especially crucial was Aaron, design by Vicki, Mikes focus on coordination and weekly updates and Steve as foreman to take care of any and everything that needed to be done to keep the schedule moving ahead.I usually do not write reviews, but the work done by Sims was so special for us it was necessary.

    Sims Exteriors and Remodeling did a wonderful job with roofing and siding on my house that was damaged by hail in October 2023. Jon Gorr patiently worked with my insurance claims department for 9 months before the claims department finally corrected their inaccuracies. Nate Gascho helped me pick the siding and colors and coordinated an excellent team of workers to get the job done. I am so happy with my new house!!

    The Sims team far exceeded our expectations. We worked with Sims to update three of our bathrooms. The communication between team members and with us was excellent from the point of design to project completion. They listened to our project goals, developed plans to meet those goals, and executed the plan with a high degree of professionalism and excellence. Not only were the direct Sims team members outstanding, but so were their contractors. Our project, given that it included three separate areas, took a moderate amount of coordination. In addition, there was added complexity as we wanted to keep some existing features such as the wall tiles. Sims honored all our wishes and we couldnt be more pleased with the outcome. Sims provided us with a calendar so we knew exactly what to expect each day of the month. They answered any questions or concerns immediately and followed up regularly to ensure our needs were met. The team stayed on budget and within the timeline they planned for us. If we have any future projects either interior or exterior we would contact Sims. A great team of staff and competitive pricing. Amazing experience!

    Bravo to Sims Exteriors and Remodeling!I cannot say enough good things about my bathroom remodel experience with the Sims team. Everyone I worked with starting with Vicki, Aaron and then Mike, the project manager, was exceptional and helpful in every way possible. Vicki had endless patience with me during the design and product selection process and Aaron was helpful in realizing the vision. Mike, the project manager, provided exceptional communication with the project plan and progress. Everyone who was involved in the actual remodel was also exceptional – the carpenters, electrician, plumber, sheet rockers, painters, tile installers, delivery person and others whom I may have forgotten. I am not easily impressed but the Sims team did just that – impressed me every step of the way. That said, I HIGHLY recommend Sims Exteriors and Remodeling!!

    SIMS did a wonderful job on our basement, from 100% unfinished to the space we love most in our home. Everybody was so friendly and accommodating that it made working with SIMS actually enjoyable. The design that Margaret dreamed up for us was perfect and working with Mike on a daily basis was great, we really appreciated his organization and attention to detail. It honestly turned out better than we could have ever imagined and were very grateful to have such an inviting space to entertain our friends and family!

    We used Sims Remodeling for a total kitchen remodel. Our home was built in the early 1950s so we wanted to maintain a look that would work with a mid-century modern home. The last kitchen remodel was done in the early 1980s so it was ready for a definite redo! We worked with Aaron and Vicki to design a plan for us and then met with them numerous times to go over all the details. They were very easy to work with and helped us select all the essentials we would need for the kitchen without being pushy and, most importantly, they helped us stay within our budget. The remodeling date started as planned and it was like clockwork!! There were no delays with the remodel. Everyone was very professional and courteous. The workers cleaned up at the end of the day and kept the dust to a minimum. Our project manager, Mike, kept in touch with us and if we had a question, we could email or call him and he responded right back and checked into our concern. The project was completed on time and it turned out beyond our expectations. We would definitely recommend Sims to our family and friends. We hope to use them in the future for other projects. P.S. We got a very nice gift from them at the completion!

    We had a large front porch added to our ranch home. SIMS was amazing to work with! Aaron helped us realize exactly what design we were trying to have built. From day one all the way to the last day, Sims was professional, friendly and efficient. They provided the highest level of construction and made sure all phases of the project were complete.     SIMS took care of replacing the sliding patio doors in the kitchen, replacing a 2-panel patio door in the living room with a 9-foot 3-panel door, adding 2 new windows to the house, replacing 2 doors, residing the entire house, adding stonework in the front, replacing the garage door, and replacing the deck. They coordinated all the work so that it was completed in a timely manner, communicated well with us, cleaned up after themselves, and took care of one or two final details. Everyone was friendly and professional and responsive to any concerns. We are so pleased!

    Everyone we encountered with Sims was absolutely fantastic! The communication during the project was unbelievably good. Each Friday we got a report of what was finished and a schedule for who would be at our house the next week. I wish everyone would communicate that well! The workmanship was excellent and anytime we had a question they were quick with a response and if we wanted to change our mind they were flexible. We will absolutely be using them again for other projects.

    We had a our Living Room window replaced by Sims Exteriors. There were many details to this project because we were going from a bow window to an inline window. The interior trim was matched to our existing and they had to deal with our porch ceiling where the bow window was removed. We now have a maintenance free window and porch. Nate got us into the right product with the finishes we wanted and the project was completed before promised. The installation was completed in less than 2 days and our install team (Jeff and Hayden) were prompt, friendly, professional and skilled. Thank you Sims!

    If our experience working with a company is just average or only what we expected, we do not rate, review, or recommend them. Sims is not just average, and all of our remodeling projects have more than fulfilled our expectations. We have replaced windows, doors, and remodeled 2 bathrooms over the past 3 years with Sims. Our most recent project was a full tear out and remodel of our main bathroom. The results are perfect, exactly what we wanted, and within our budget and timeline. Sims workmanship, materials, and professionalism was again superior. Special thanks to Dondi our designer, and Mike and Aaron the project leaders, and the rest of the A-team that made it all happen.     Sims was receptive to me doing a large portion of the work myself. They came in and helped me decide which components I could do myself and which components were their areas of expertise. Aaron provided an accurate quote that I was able to pick and choose from. Together we determined the work that was to be completed. DJ came to my house, masked, and provided a timeline. Sims adhered to that timeline to a T.Sims was especially careful to protect my home during the remodel. They installed thick protective floor coverings and tarped off the other areas of the home with floor to ceiling coverings. At the end of each work day they made sure to leave the work area spotless. The only regret I have was not going with Sims for the electrical portion of my work. I should have hired them for every component in my project vs piecing it out with another contractor.The craftsmanship of the work Sims did was top-notch. I will be recommending Sims to my family and friends. The tradesmen were even kind to my kiddo while on site, being sure to include him in the process.

    If you need a new roof, we are extremely impressed with Sims Exteriors & Remodeling! We worked with Jon Gorr, he provided expectations and his team delivered. They are a Certified Master Elite Weather Stopper Roofing Contractor for GAF. We did some research and had couple other bids and Sims was by far the most experienced and best value. We have a 50-year non-prorated GAF lifetime protection that is transferrable to the next owner. It is a large expense for a homeowner, and we are incredibly happy with our experience and result with Sims!

    From my first phone call with Margaret- all the way through the design process. We clicked. Margaret asked great questions and spent the time getting to know our thoughts and style. I couldnt have asked for a better match.Im not used to working with anyone other than my husband. After he passed, we had one project left. I cant tell you how hard it was for me to trust someone other than my husband. But I did. Margaret came up with a great plan- fit our style perfectly. Then I met Aaron, and he too was honest and sincere. He wanted me to get what I wanted. Working with both of them was a great experience. Mike led the on-site crew, again a great team member. Mike and Chad made sure everything was completed on schedule and done correctly. Great members of your company.Any concerns or questions I had were answered and corrections made. I had trust in them- Sims proved to be a company that wants their clients to be happy with the outcome. They take this commitment very seriously.

    When we decided to have our 50+ yr old kitchen gutted & remodeled, we immediately called Sims. They had done great work for us--a new roof, siding, new interior doors & trim--so we knew from past work, we could trust them to do it right. Aaron was amazing to work with. He told us what to expect every step of the way & always kept us informed. Their work was superb! The kitchen--from demo to done--was ON BUDGET and ON TIME! And included new flooring, cupboards, plumbing, electrical, counter top and back splash. Friends were amazed at how quickly it was done and we LOVE IT! (see before/after photos)

    I cant say enough good things about my new roof from SIMS. A friend recommended them to me, after they had a new roof installed by SIMS. The whole process was very organized. Jon, the project manager is personable, straightforward and thorough. He spent 5 minutes on the property and was able to quickly assess the problems in my previous roof. He knew what he was talking about and didnt sugar coat things. SIMS uses high end products. I love my new roof from them and am very thankful for the quality workmanship they provided.

    We removed a deck and replaced it with concrete. That left some places where the deck board had been attached that were without siding. Our home is 16 years old, and SIMS was able to find a siding product that matched the profile, texture, and color of our existing siding. They did a great job installing it (and an even better job handling a vent than was done during the original build). Its only possible to find where the work was done because of some sun fading on the older siding - but even that transition is so well done, I dont notice unless I go looking specifically for it to show friends the amazing job SIMS did!

    We have done 3 projects with Sims over the years, and our last project did NOT disappoint! We had our first floor floors replaced with LVP.     One year ago I had a leaky roof and needed a new roof. Sims was by far the lowest / best quote I received. Sims was one of my choices because a friend recommended them. Jon was very professional and easy to work with. He worked to get me the best quality for the best deal.At the time, I also had some insulation issues/needs and Jon was able to recommend someone who he works with who did the insulation work right alongside him. They worked together and made it very easy for me.Jon’s crew was amazing and did a great job. I was impressed and pleased. Over the last year, my roof has not had any issues, looks great, and my insulation Is noticeably better. I would recommend Sims.

    Sims is awesome, we did a kitchen remodel. All the Sims employees that we came in contact with were very nice and knowledgeable of there trade. One of the things that my wife and I were grateful for was they cleaned up every day since we were living in the construction day to day. At the beginning of the project we were given a timeline, and they worked very hard to keep that timeline. When my wife and I came to a crossroad (because this was our first big remodel) they showed us all the options we had. We would highly recommend Sims for any project. Since our kitchen remodel we have had Sims put on a new roof and that section of Sims is awesome too.     Enjoyed working with all of the individuals I interacted with Sims. They were polite and courteous. Knowledgeable about their work and very professional. We had roof, gutters, leaf guard and one window done. Quality of the material was exceptional as well of workmanship. They took great measures to clean up after the job was done. You get what you pay for and I believe we got very good quality work and material. After 35 years the house was in need of some serious work. I well be using them again.     We just completed our second bathroom remodel with Sims. The first involved moving a support wall, moving a window, changing the layout fairly extensively, new cabinets, heated floor with new tile, new plumbing fixtures, and new electric fixtures. Our latest was less extensive but still involved replacing floor, cabinets, counter, and mirrors as well as new tile around the bath/shower and new plumbing fixtures. We can truly say it has been a pleasure. The workers are pleasant, communicate well, and do good work. The end results were beyond our expectations in both bathrooms. He did a great job staying in touch with us and keeping us updated on the progress with the house. I think our favorite thing working with Sims was how far beyond they went. When discussing residing our house, they brought up several other potential enhancements to our house that would make sense during the project: new hose bibs, new storm door, new vents, etc. Nate did a great job involving us in those discussions and organizing the different folks needed to complete the job.When everything was all done, we had a brand new looking house complete with several small upgrades giving us peace of mind over our property. Even with the little additions, we had no surprises with our final invoice which was great. Well certainly be keeping Sims in mind whenever it comes time for another major home improvement project.

    Update: We just had Sims reroof our new house, and they were again fantastic - so professional and so fast and such great work. And while we didnt bother getting quotes from any other companies (since we wanted Sims), the cost was less than we were expecting, and we were very pleased all around. It couldnt have been a better experience, and we continue to recommend Sims very highly!Old review (2012): Sims performed a complete tear-off and re-roofing job for me, and they were fantastic. They had been referred to me by another contractor that I trust, and while it wasnt the cheapest estimate I got, Im glad I went with them - I certainly got my moneys worth. They (Nate and crew) were professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating, including scheduling the job quickly to meet my needs. They encountered a couple of unexpected problems during the job, and in one case took care of it without a hiccup (and were very generous with a price reduction on the additional work), and in the other case gave me great referrals (and another price break) for a more complex problem, and they ultimately coordinated the multi-contractor follow-up work for that problem (wonderfully). The roof is really beautiful, and I have the satisfaction of knowing that the job was well done (no surprises or shortcuts). They were done on time and cleaned up everything, and the only sign of their presence afterward was the beautiful roof. And, when we sell the house, the 10-year transferable warranty on their work (plus the 50-year warranty on the shingles) will be a great selling point. I recommend Sims very highly.

    We purchased a home a little over a year ago. The soffits were rotting and during our first winter, there was serious ice-damning. We were advised to do an energy audit before making any repairs, which we did. The energy audit showed that our roof was not insulated and substantial heat loss was occurring. There was also evidence that some of the roof decking might have water damage. We ended up hiring Sims Exteriors to replace the roof and the soffits. They partnered with Cellar to Attic, who installed foam insulation. We obtained multiple estimates before making this choice. Sims estimate was neither the highest nor the lowest. We chose them for 4 reasons: (1) Their project managers seemed more knowledgeable, noticing some problems with our roof and soffits that others had not noticed (e.g., sponginess in some areas indicating that the underlying roof decking had suffered water damage; improperly hung gutters, etc.; (2) they were Better Business Bureau members; and (3) they had an A+ Better Business Bureau rating; (4) they had been in business for many years. We were very pleased with their work. It took a long time to get it done because they needed at least 3 days with a dry forecast to do the job, which included removing the roof decking and installing foam. Once the weather cooperated and they could start, they worked nearly every daylight hour to get it completed before the next round of rain. The crew was very courteous and cleaned up after itself daily; the project managers kept us informed on progress.We were pleased with the work and would also note that their warranty was better than that offered by the roofer who had installed the last roof on our house. I definitely recommend them.

    We had new shilgles put on our roof by Sims Roofing. Nick came out and walked us through all the steps that would be taken and reviewed everything with us. When the roofers came, they did the entire job in two days. There was a crew of about 6 guys and they worked hard and did an awesome job. They cleaned up as they went and at the end of each work day as well. This included walking around picking up any thing they had missed earlier, cleaning out the bushes and trees with a leaf blower and sweeping all hard surfaces.While working they were extremely careful to move or cover any items that may be damaged by falling shingles while they were removing the old roof. They put flashing where needed, replaced wood where necessary, did all the things you would expect good roofers to do. They worked well together, they all seemed to know what to do and how to do it.We will recommend this company to everyone!

    John and his team were great! My wife and I were new to needing a roof replaced. John came out, checked our roof over, found things the claims team missed, worked with them to add it on.He then walked me through the whole process, picked out colors, gutters, etc.Day of the install, the team was early, the worked super fast to pull my old roof off, install the new one. They were very careful to cover our bushes so nails and scraps didn’t damage our stuff. They installed the roof in one day! It looks great, they had to replace our skylight windows and the new ones look great, they did great with the trim work.     Sims is the best. I originally contracted with them in 2009 to tear off/replace my roof. I had never hired a roofing company before, and they made the process easy and understandable. The quality was fantastic. When my roof was damaged by hail in 2022, I called Sims right away. I didnt even bother calling any other roofers because I knew I was going with Sims again. They guarantee their work for 10 years, and Jon and his team are easy to work with and just overall fantastic.

    BETTER CALL SIMS!!! We experienced a leaky roof dripping into the interior of our home. We called Sims and Jon was out to our home very quickly.     We had a serious leak in from our roof and called three companies to look where the leak came through our bedroom ceiling and then try to find where the roof was leaking and give us an estimate on the cost of repairs. The first person was unable to find the exact source of the leak and said they would need to remove shingles, look for any water damage and then give us an estimate. The second person was pretty sure he knew where the leak in the roof was and thought it might cost one thousand dollars or more to fix it. The third person was from Sims. In a little less than an hour he found the source of the leak and fixed it.     As part of our roof replacement last year, we identified an area on the roof susceptible to ICE DAMS. The Sims crew created a plan to correct the situation. It involved adding additional ventilation and insulation to the area. We also had to repalce the actual roof panels before the area could be reshingled. After this winter I am happy to say the repair coupled with the new shingles solved the ice dam issue. No sign of dampness or ice melt. The project leader Jon was great when it came to communication and planning. The crew was very focused on the job and our yard was clean after the project - we did not find even one nail. High marks all around - we recommend Sims highly.

    We contacted 3 roofing companies to replace our roof. All of the quotes were within 5% of each other and so we decided to work with the firm who had been most responsive to our request and needs - Sims Roofing. Nick came out and walked us through all the steps that would be taken and reviewed everything with us.The company called 2 days prior to installation to confirm and the crew of roofers arived ontimeand did the entire job in two days. There was a crew of about 6 guys and they worked hard and did an awesome job. They cleaned up as they went and at the end of each work day as well. As another reviewer stated, this included walking around picking up nails and any trash, cleaning out the bushes and trees with a leaf blower and sweeping all hard surfaces.While working they were extremely careful to move or cover any items that may be damaged by falling shingles while they were removing the old roof. They put flashing where needed, replaced wood where necessary, did all the things you would expect good roofers to do. They worked well together, they all seemed to know what to do and how to do it. I have yet to find a nail in the grass they are just very detail oriented and professional. Nothing like the storm chasing roofers you see sometimes.We were so happy with their work we had them replace our shutters and have also contacted them to replace to garage windows.They did a great job and we will recommend this company to everyone!Robert & Jan MucciMadison, WI
