    RA Dobson technicians are always timely, professional and respectful of my time and property. My most recent experience was having an old furnace replaced. Anthony and Dave were very knowledgeable and and clearly explained all the details of the repair and how to use the new thermostat. They are obviously well trained.     Last summer our air conditioner broke down on the hottest day of the year. R.A. Dobson came the same day and charged us clear prices. We signed up for the Matience program and have been so glad we did. They’ve helped us keep our air conditioning in tip top shape. Today Dave came over, called before he arrived to make sure someone was home, wore foot gear to keep the house clean, cleaned out the furnace and then even vacuumed the small pieces that were on the ground. We love the service we get and will continue to work with the R.A. Dobson team!

    We really appreciated the service RA Dobson provided when they replaced our water heater today. Evan, Brady and Israel were on time, polite, and professional, and they did a great job--even adding a last-minute request by us to the service they performed. Evan was thorough and explained everything to us so well which we really appreciated. We have been with RA Dobson for over 20 years, including having them replace our HVAC system. They had the chance to upsell to us when we asked questions about todays water heater replacement but didnt. We are grateful for their honesty and recommend them to others.

    We went with R.A. Dobson when our A/C went out Summer of this year. We found out about them because there was another family owned heating and air company that my uncle and aunt had used and trusted for years, comfort zone I believe it was. They wanted to work with us but were booked up for at least a week and we needed immediate assistance so they recommended R.A. Dobson to us because they trusted the service so much.There are a lot of details I could write about how things went, but Ill stick to overall impressions. The first crew that came to help us diagnosed what they saw and I believe gave us an honest quote for what they thought the repair would be. The tech that came the next day was more senior and first corrected the diagnosis of that first crew and then, since he was able to get the unit to start with the parts he had on hand, gave his assessment that we were in need of a total replacement, showing actual figures from diagnostic tools that our unit was too old to be effective even if they were able to do a stopgap repair.The phone service and ability to book and get prompt service appointments was good throughout. We ultimately did replace our HVAC, and dave, the technician who appeared to be overseeing the work, was happy to explain every aspect of the work being done and why they were doing it the way they were, as well as point out ways in which our original installation was not as effective either because it was old or because the installation had some shortcuts taken. We purchased a higher end version of the products they offered, and after a few weeks I can say it is still working well and we havent noticed issues either with the unit or an impact on other aspects of our home. Wed recommend R.A. Dobson for a low hassle experience and for integrity given their staff all appeared interested in doing the best job possible and we even saw examples of them holding each other accountable to this both for the mistaken diagnosis (which we received credit for) and throughout the installation process.

    RA Dobson was recommended by another company we are using for our attic insulation project. We needed them to inspect and replace a furnace flue that had rusted and was, potentially, allowing carbon monoxide in the home. They came out the same day we called to diagnose the problem and found additional problems and code violations. None of these problems were noted in our home inspection two months ago nor were they covered by our home warranty. The following week they returned and completed the repair for the agreed upon and reasonable price. The technicians they sent were on time, professional, and did excellent work. We will definitely use their services again.

    Our 17 year-old dual system (AC/gas furnace and second floor heat pump) needed replacement and I was very pleased with the work of the Dobson team! Travis Dobson worked with us closely on the configuration, options and pricing and the install crew (Adrian, Carlos, Josh, Chris and Brandon) were excellent! They arrived on time, prepared and to go. As the installation progressed, I was impressed with their attention to detail on the wiring and plumbing work and saw that they corrected some issues with the original builders install. Adrian, the senior guy on the team, definitely knew his business and I noticed him sharing and teaching the others during key parts of the installation. VERY highly recommended!

    We have used RA Dobson both personally and with my clients. All have been very happy with the service they received. From the initial phone call where the man answering the phone is helpful and engaging and quick to schedule a service appointment. Most recently we needed the motor replaced in our furnace in the attic. Sam was our technician that helped us. He was very polite and quick to replace the motor & get the system back to having heat on a 25 degree evening. I love that the techs from RA Dobson dont do the constant upselling like other companies we have used in the past.     ORIGINAL REVIEWFrom the beginning of the transaction through the end of Day 1, my experience with RA Dobson was flawless. I called at 7:10 am and followed the prompt to reach the emergency technician. George called me back in less than 5 minutes and put me on the schedule for the same day, although an arrival time could not be provided because the amount of time needed for any previous service calls cannot be predicted. I got a call at 11:13 to let me know that the technician would arrive in 45 minutes. He arrived in 20. Sam was fabulous! I asked if he minded while I watched what he was doing. He explained everything he was doing and how the different parts of the system work. He diagnosed the issue and ordered the part. I think the price is reasonable. I look forward to the actual repair in the next couple days.UPDATEI got a call later in the day to let me know that the part needed to repair my system was available and could be installed THE SAME DAY! Sim completed the actual repair. He arrived at the end of his scheduled service calls around 5:00 pm. Another wonderful guy--knowledgeable, friendly, thorough, and just plain nice.What a great company. I highly recommend R. A. Dobson.

    I submitted a request for a quote for replacing or repairing a Moen shower valve on RA Dobsons website, and got a rough quote within 24 hours. The quote was very reasonable, and a technician(Evan) was at my door at exactly 8am the next morning, right on time! He looked over the tub faucet and gave me an exact estimate for fixing the valve cartridge which I accepted. I actually had him do two more jobs, since the price was so good! He was professional and explained what the issues were, and the job was done right on the first visit for the price we agreed to. If I need any more work done, theyll be my first call!

    When our old water heater sprung a leak, the amount of water it was leaking required us to get it replaced quickly. Unlike their competition, R A Dobson took the time to answer all of our questions thoroughly and despite calling them late in the day, they were able to install a new tank the following morning. Overall, I would have no issues recommending this company as I found them to be fair, honest, and professional. The office staff has always been considerate and responsive when I have called for either emergency, of which I have had several lately, or routine maintenance. The plumbers that have come to our home have been knowledgable and have completed the job efficiently. They have arrived when expected and are courteous. The plumber,Evan, who has worked with us for the last two weeks to get a new dishwasher installed. He has been wonderful. I cant repeat my praise this company and staff enough.     We needed two visits from RA Dobson to fix a leak in a pipe above our basement ceiling, which unfortunately was related to a repair by a different company less than a year ago. An entire team spent hours here, before during and after explaining to me what the issue was and how they were going to address it.     A little late on this review, but I still felt it was more than necessary to complete! RA Dobson was able to fit us in during the recent Polar Vortex to diagnose and replace our broken water heater. As a 2nd generation client, my patents and I have used RA Dobson for all of our plumbing, heating, and air conditioning needs for 40 years!!! They are affordable and still provide quality work. To readers of reviews like these: I cannot recommend this company enough -- their honesty, knowledge and amazing service saved us thousands of dollars.Backstory: Our A/C died during a week of 90-degree-plus weather. A tech from another company looked at our 10-year-old system and told us it was beyond repair — they pitched us a new $7k system.Assuming they were right, we called R A Dobson to get a second quote on a new system. Travis, the owner, said hed be happy to quote a system for us, but he asked us to talk through the issues first. He took the time to examine pictures and narrowed it down to a blown capacitor. Since there are still social distance guidelines in place, he said a tech could install it or we could do it ourselves and save money.He was right! After 20 minutes of work and a $40 part, our beyond repair system was as good as new.R A Dobson could have easily been like the other guys and taken advantage of our lack of HVAC know-how to sell us a new system. But their honesty and service have made us a customer and fan for life.Support this local business!

    Returned from a weeks vacation late this afternoon (after 5pm on a Sunday in late July) and our air conditioning had gone out while we were gone... hot house. Called and left a message for the emergency on call technician not expecting much. He called me back within 5 minutes, talked through my options, and was at my house by 6pm. Quickly diagnosed the problem (capacitor had gone out on the compressor), he had the part in his truck, and we were blowing cold air again by 6:30pm. Emergency call cost me $120 more than their normal service call... worth every penny. Highly recommend.

    Called RA Dobson on a recommendation from another mechanical contractor to replace a home water heater. When another trade recommends a company you know they are going to know their stuff! Talked to George and even corresponded with owner Travis - both were responsive and great to deal with. Given the Covid19 conditions they were willing to provide an estimate based on pictures we provided, but also did a site visit when we inquired about a change of scope. George was a straight shooter and seemed honest, and took the time to talk through the job.Received a quote 24 hours later as promised. Signed the proposal electronically and within another 24 hours the office called and got us on the schedule for the next morning. Adrian, Carlos and Evan were assigned to the job and were GREAT! They were professional, clean and easy going. They did not rush the job and took their time making sure the install was done right the first time. Afterwards they cleaned up the site including wiping down any water on the floor. The guys explained the warranty and put all the necessary documentation in the protective sleeve on the water heater. We even had a fun conversation out in the driveway afterwards, seemed like genuinely nice guys!Were these the cheapest guys? No, but the quote was very reasonable given the manpower and quality of work they performed. I could have saved a little money going with someone else, but you get what you pay for. Too many inconsiderate contractors out that make big promises but always come up short. I will gladly pay a little more for a quality job. From soup to nuts this was a hassle-free experience and we will gladly consider RA Dobson again for our other mechanical needs. Thank you guys!

The staff is comprised of new and long-term employees who represent the family-owned business with a sense of pride.The following are highlights from a recent project to replace the humidifier:To ensure the safety of their employees and customers, R.A. Dobson, Inc. supplies their technicians with personal protective equipment including, but not limited to masks, gloves, and shoe coverings. Upon my request, the technicians double masked without hesitancy, before entering. The project took about 5 hours with many trips in and out of the house. Each technician was extremely mindful and closed the door every time.Adrian, Sam and Jaivier were professional, respectful, and meticulous in clean up. Adrian provided a detailed walkthrough of the completed work and how to maintain the efficiency of the new unit.I highly recommend R.A.     In using my new HVAC system installed by R.A.Dobson whom I met Late January 2022. Initialy installation for a new Furnace and Heat Pump was overseen by Sam Contreras on February 8, 2022. The change of air entering my home to be stronger in Heat/Cool Mode is wonderful. A new COR Thermostat installed Quite a transition to learn. R.A. Dobson was referred to me by two neighbors near me. I waited to see how all was going to operate during 2022s seasonal changes, and it is just wonderful. No more turning on Eden Pure Portable Heaters. Im learning to interact with good R.A. Dobson Staff at all levels; who will answer questions. I highly recommend new interest to reach out to Travis Dobson, President of R.A. Dobson a family owned Business since 1975.     A few years ago RA Dobson helped me find a furnace blower motor that would fit my aging unit. Turns out it took a standard size, but no one else locally seemed to be able to figure that out without sending a tech out to the house and charging me the extra diagnostic fee, and then having their tech sell me the motor (so add $100+ to the price of the motor). With the basic length and diameter, they were able to get me setup with a motor I could install myself, and the furnace has been happily chugging away ever since.Today I called back to find a safety switch for a new hot water heater that had broken (probably still under warranty), and even though they dont carry the brand anymore, they were able to help me find a part number and gave me the best course of action to get it resolved. Even when the guy on the phone knew they werent going to make any money from the call, he still went out of his way to help me fix the problem. Im definitely going to use these guys for as long as theyre around!

    R. A. Dobson is a life saver! I wish I had known about them years ago. Last night my hot water heater busted and I was worried that I could not get it fixed for days. I got in touch with the business owner late in the evening (11pm) and he said he would have a technician out first thing in the morning. Around 7:30am I got a call from the office manager who said there would be a tech out before 9am. The tech showed up at 8:30am and was really nice and extremely knowledgeable. The job was done within the timeframe they said and the price was exactly what I was quoted. I have never had an experience with a plumbing company or any type home repair contractor like this in the past. I will absolutely recommend them in the future to anyone in need of plumbing or HVAC work!

    Eduwin just finished installing our whole home humidifier, he was very nice, professional, and efficient. Cant say enough good things about his work and this company.     Adrian with R.A.Dobson responded when we thought there was water leaking from our furnace. Adrian was a resourceful detective! He thoroughly searched the HVAC system, but found the water was leaking from a pin hole in a water line to the nearby bath/shower--nothing to do with the furnace. We are so impressed with Adrian!     I had an issue with my hot water heater and called R.A. Dobson (of course, as I have been using them for years) to diagnose the problem. The technician that came (on Nov. 3) was Evan, and I have to say that I love all the R.A. Dobson technicians, but Evan was AMAZING. He was able to diagnose the problem and offer a few options. The wonderful thing is that he was able to show me how to extend the life of the hot water heater to clean out the minerals (we have a lot in our water) and keep the elements running longer. Some companies would want to immediately replace the appliance, but over the years, I have found that R.A. Dobson, with their expertise, maintains them and keeps them running longer. Evan was SO knowledgeable, professional and very patient and kind in showing us every repair he did and why he was doing it. R.A. Dobson is honest and has a professional for all repairs they do. If you want to extend the life of your hot water heater, plumbing system or heating system, CALL THEM. They care about the customer and the system they are working on, and will do their best to always keep everything running smoothly. Its so refreshing to have a company that tries to solve the problem and not just replace everything. I have been using R.A. Dobson for over 30 years, and still call them first whenever I have a problem--if they cant fix it, they direct me to the company that can. And Evan was definitely one of the BEST technicians I have had, from ANY company. Thank you, R.A. Dobson, for your great service AGAIN!!

    During AC maintenance, Dave (RA Dobson) discovered a rusty gas pipe by the side of the house, and there was a gas smell. At his recommendation, we called Dobson right away and the next morning (after Washington Gas had turned off the gas) a Dobson team was here to replace the pipe. This was a complex job since the pipe went in the ground and through the wall. Within hours they did a perfect job. Their work was secure and clean! Thank you very much for addressing this dangerous situation quickly and perfectly! We are extremely pleased with Dobson’s work, more generally.

    Josh and Zac were very professional, and were experienced in all aspects of the work. They replaced my furnace and A/C unit, and were also able to replace my water heater on short notice.     RADobson has been our families go to HVAC service company over the past 20 years. They have been able to remediate problems on the spot verse other companies that requested multiple days to get the part. We have used RADobson for HVAC, plumbing and even installation of our Gas pool heater. RA Dobson technicians are highly trained technicians that are personable and will explain the problem(s) and provide multiple solutions verse pushing the most expensive option.
