    Thomas Adams, of Classic Electrical NW, is a very experienced, professional electrician who enjoys solving problems. My dishwasher leaked and it took many months to finalize the project of repairing and upgrading my kitchen. Thomas started in March when the kitchen was beginning to come together, then came back after some of the remodeling was finished to pull wire and explain the next steps. He returned another time to complete his part of the job. As he worked, he thoroughly explained what he was doing and why he was doing it. With his experience and love of a challenge, he was able to figure out solutions to some tricky issues where space was involved. Thomas was punctual, a great communicator, and he brought the poor-quality electrical work in my kitchen up to code. I learned some things about electricity as we talked, and he provided practical tips on what to look for when purchasing a home.I will definitely use Classic Electric NW in the future. I highly recommend Thomas Adams to anyone who wants the best electrician.

    I want to start off with the fact that this company has amazing customer service.I called the company for an electric issue I had and they were able to come out within the hour that I called. Thomas who is the owner came out and helped me out with my electrical issue. It was a pretty easy fix that didnt take much time at all. He also took the time to give me some education on how to trouble shoot the breaker box incase I had issues in the future.Thomas was also nice enough to give me a discounted price since it took so little time to trouble shoot.If you are looking for an honest company to help you with any electrical needs I highly recommend Classic Electric.

    Thomas was extremely thorough and detail oriented. Every morning he took the time to explain what was going to be done and what the finished result would be. It is very good at what he does and takes his profession very seriously and it shows in his work. I would recommend him to anyone at anytime.     Thomas was great! We built a covered outdoor area and wanted to get lighting and a ceiling fan installed. He promptly responded to a request to come out for a quote, took care of all the permits needed, cleaned up some wiring incorrectly installed by the previous DIY homeowner, and installed everything we asked for. He was very professional and knowledgeable, explained the process clearly, and cleaned up after all the work he completed. I highly recommend him!

    Thomas is very professional and did a great job. He is courteous and was on time each time Ive used his services. He recently changed out some old light fixtures for new ones for me.     Thomas with Classic Electric is a true professional. His work is top notch, and his communication was excellent. He installed a EV charger in my garage as well as add some outlets, the work is very clean. He also installed 4 new ceiling fans in our house. The house had old ceiling fans that wobbled badly. He took the time to educate me on the proper way to hang ceiling fans so they were safe and stable. Well worth the money for the peace of mind it gives me and my family knowing that the work is good and up to code. I would not hesitate to recommend Thomas & Classic Electric to anyone looking for high quality electrical work.

    I hired Classic Electric to install a 240V outlet for an EV. Thomas was responsive to my inquiry for estimate. For both the estimate visit and the date of install Thomas was on-time.     I would highly recommend Thomas. He did an outstanding job adding a new outlet and circuit for my EV. His work in the end was so nice and clean it looks great in the garage. Thomas also looked at some other work another sloppy electrician did on our hot tub said it was out of code and quickly fixed it for us. We are planning to use him for more upcoming projects.

    I had an an issue with an outlet in the garage that kept tripping. It supports the tankless water heater so it was important to get the matter resolved quickly. I called Classic Electric and Thomas was awesome!     We were having some electrical difficulties with our in house alarm (no idea who installed it) but we ha no idea how to disarm it and the alarm went off when a door was opened. From our first inquiry call with Thomas to the completion of the job, it was clear every step of the way that we were in good hands with a well trained and thorough electrician.     I reached out to Tom looking for help to install a level 2 EV charger. I wasnt sure if my panel could accomodate it. After sending him some images, he determined the current panel didnt meet code even though it passed inspection a couple years earlier. He provided guidance on what to do and how to approach the previous electrical company. Because of his support and guidance, I was able to get the panel upgraded by the previous company. Tom spent time and expertise at no charge and truly cares about his profession and clients. I recommend him for any electrical needs!

    Thomas takes great pride in his work & craftsmanship. Thomas just completed a lengthy project for me (about 5 weeks off and on) and never once did I have to babysit him (call him day before or day of to make sure he would be there or to remind him of work that needed to be completed by a certain date). He is definitely not the typical contractor that tries to rush through the job just to finish & get paid. I always knew everything was getting done the way it should be and he truly cares how everything looks too, which is a big plus. This is only the start of a very large remodel for us and we will certainly work with Thomas again when we are ready for the next phase of electrical work. I will say, he does like to complain a little bit, which he admits to, but no one is perfect and if thats his one vice, so be it. I would without hesitation refer him to clients, family & friends and I will.**Update**: My husband and I just hired Thomas again to complete the electrical updates for our massive remodel of our 1958 home. He did great work, hit all the timelines he said he would, and our home passed inspection the first time. Lots of attention to detail. We have been living in the home for over a week now and everything works great. He even came back the day after I called him (a few weeks after finishing the job) to replace an important HDMI cable my husband accidentally broke while installing our TV.

    Seven yrs ago I bought my first house which needed electrical work, I got three bids and as soon as I met Thomas with Classic Electric I knew he was who I would hire. He was fair, honest, upfront and knew what he was doing.     Thomas is the ultimate professional! I had a large remodel done on my 1905 historic home. I got 3 estimates from different electrical companies and I only wanted Thomas to do the work because I could tell that as the owner and master electrician he has the most knowledge. Also, when I interviewed him for the job he was the most enthusiastic about my home and the project. He helped me design the lighting styles and layout and I am very happy with how it all turned out. Thomas, the owner, was on the job every day ā€“ they didnā€™t just send out some guy to work on my house. He was always on time and on schedule. He continually asked about my needs and made sure they were being met. Another great thing is that he packed out his own garbage so I wasnā€™t left to deal with all of it.     Thomas was prompt, showed up at 0800, exactly when he said he would. He was incredibly knowledgeable with the electrical issues we needed to have repaired/installed but also answered my million questions with thoughtful, electrical code specific answers and provided detailed explanation of the why and reasons behind them all.     Thomas was awesome and gave #1 Customer Service. I recently purchased a very old home with lots of electrical needs. Thomas came into the meeting and was very helpful and informative. He explained in layman terms what the issues were that he saw. He sat down and spent time with me and made sure I understood what was needed to be done. Unfortunately, due to conflicting schedules, Thomas was unable to do the work. But, he pointed me in the right direction, gave me pointers for when I do hire a electrician and also share pricing of some items so I would not be taken advantage of. Owning an old house, you work with a lot of contractors I greatly appreciated the time he took with me; about 45 minutes even when he knew he was not able to take the job.     Long story short: garage door not working properly, DFCI switch was off so the door was running on battery. Had the garage door completely serviced and updated even though it was a DFCI issue. Following week, again the garage door wasnt working properly and the DFCI switch once again wasnt working AND it wouldnt reset. I called Classic Electric thinking that I had a bad electrical connection. The technician asked Do you have any Christmas lights plugged in? They get wet and it trips the switch. Oh my goodness, came home, unplugged the Christmas lights, DFCI switch reset, garage door is working perfectly! THANK YOU SO MUCH! I write this because the technician just as well could have charged me to come out to my home and solve the problem, but instead he gave me the opportunity to see if it was a simple fix - which it was! THANK YOU - if I ever have electrical issues I will call Classic Electric! Awesome!

    Thomas Adams, the owner of Classic Electric is the ONLY electrical contractor I will ever use again! I tried one of those 2 hour specials from another company when I bought my new home and he didnā€™t improve my electrical in anyway noticeable and ended up charging me really high prices for parts. So, the deal wasnā€™t a deal at all and nothing important was accomplished. So, when I needed more work done, I went with a referral and I am so happy I did. Thomas installed new light fixtures, sub cabinet lighting, garage lighting, switches, plugs and fixed a myriad of electrical issues left from the previous owner of my home. Some of the electrical was dangerous and we were lucky there wasnā€™t a fire.I know next to nothing about lighting, so Thomas gave me some really clever design ideas. He even put four dimmer switches in my kitchen (after he put in can lights that made sense). Our garage had two little light bulbs, so he changed them out for two rows of 8 fluorescents. The whole garage lights up now and I donā€™t know how anyone lived with it before. I canā€™t imagine getting a better deal from another company and everything was done to perfection and in a timely manner. I give Classic Electric my highest recommendation!

    Thomas was great to work with. The quality of work was top notch and he and his apprentice were able to finish a bit faster than they estimated. He did charge a small fee to come out and do a consultation and quote which was well worth it for both of us to really understand what we needed and what they were going to be able to accomplish.     We had a couple of different electrical items updated for our kitchen remodel. His response to my call was quick with great communication. He arrived when he stated he would without a huge window of time where we had to wait around for him and did a great job. My house was already a mess from the remodel but he left it super clean. I cant compare his prices because the 3 other electricians I called never returned my call so I never got any other quotes and this was our first time using an electrician so I didnt even know what to expect. Overall I was very pleased and will call again for future needs.

    TL;DR ā€” you will not find a better electrician than Thomas with Classic Electric.We had our 1928 home updated to 200 amp service, as well as numerous other upgrades throughout our home. On his initial walkthrough, Thomas suggested several things we should do to receive a more accurate (and justifiable) estimate and he would come back to re-evaluate. So we labeled some problem outlets, created an opening for the attic, etcā€¦ No other electrician had bothered to suggest this approach which resulted in their vague and over-estimated numbers. But Thomasā€™ estimate was detailed, competitive and left us knowing exactly what to expect. The work was started the exact time and day that was promised. He started and finished each day like clockwork. Before leaving, he would clean up, remove all trash and walk through the progress for the day. The level of professionalism and courtesy was always at 10.Aside from the stellar day-to-day experience, I would consider Thomas a sage and an artist when it comes to wiring. Knowing a bit about electrical myself, I had plenty of questions to ask and he was eager to share his 20 years of knowledge and experience. He would also explain where certain changes were being made, and that extra work was being added to ensure the job was not only finished as specā€™d but that it met his high aesthetic and quality standards ā€” quickly following with ā€œIā€™m not charging extra, I just want this to be right.ā€Needless to say, everything was completed to our satisfaction and beyond.     Professional, Punctual, Spotless.Thomas is a magician at hiding wire! If you want a light or switch placed somewhere difficult, Thomas will amaze you, and when heā€™s finished you wonā€™t even know he was there. Thomas is not your ā€˜Billy Bobā€™ handyman, he knows more than most inspectors, and will do your job right!If youā€™ve hired many contractors, you know how many of them will not show up on the day or time you agreed to. Thomas is as punctual as a Timex!Also indicative of many contractors, they are as messy as a two-year-old with a bowl of spaghetti. Thomas will leave your project cleaner than when he got there! You wonā€™t know he was ever there, except for the thing you hired him to do.

Polite and friendly and did not mind a bit of an affection assault from my exhuberant pups who were excited to see a new face. After sending me the estimate I had a few clarifying questions that he promptly answered and helped me come up with solutions that not only met my needs but helped to keep my costs down. Once work was agreed on, he worked with my schedule to find a time to complete the service and within a week the job was complete. Again was pleasant and professional on the day of installation. There were a few ā€œcurveballsā€ that the construction of my home apparently through his way, but he simply adapted his plan and methodically went about is work. The job was completed in a timely manner. Left the work space clean like he was never there. Very happy with the result! Will definitely reach out to Thomas again if additional electrical work comes up!

    Had a new electric vehicle charging station to install which needed a dedicated 240V line running through a panel with no open slots. While another place might have charged thousands to put in a sub-panel, Thomas simply put in new breakers to re-use an existing slot and performed the entire job in a couple of hours for a n excellent price. The inspector only took a few seconds to check out Thomas work before approving it because according to the inspector, Thomas customers love him and he does great work. Yes he does.

    Called Classic and spoke to Thomas the owner, he was out within a couple hours. Thought we had a bit of an emergency as our fridge had never stopped working before, checked outlets and other appliances, checked to see if breakers were tripped, couldnt figure out the issue as hadnt happend before in 13 yrs of being in this house...Thomas comes out and quickly suspects the breakers and goes and immediately recognizes the culprit...a bit embarrased but I had misread and completely overlooked the proper breaker....He was great about it, answered a few other questions for me about adding some additional outlets, etc... and was on his way.     Thomas provided a very high level of service for a reasonable price. He wired a 220v plug into my garage for a table saw, but the panel was out of space. Adding an additional wrinkle, we had an illegally modified breaker that needed to be replaced and moved to one of the coveted twin locations (location capable of splitting a single breaker into two). Although not part of the scope of the quote he moved nearly every breaker to free up the appropriate twinning locations to make it work. Thomas was willing to explain the problems as well as provide solutions so I could make informed decisions. Will recommend him to others, and use him again if needed. 5 Star.

    I highly recommend Thomas Adams of Classic Electric. Thomas came to our rescue to correct and complete some faulty and unfinished work started by a different licensed electrician during our recent kitchen and bathroom renovation projects. Both the prior electrician and Thomas have similar electrical licenses, but the difference in workmanship and adherence to electrical code was like night and day. I was so unhappy and worried about the potential safety issues caused by the prior electrician until I called Thomas, who agreed to inspect and help me document the prior personā€™s work so it could be reported to the county and state. Once the prior work was inspected and documented, Thomas corrected and completed the electrical projects for us, which included removing the other personā€™s faulty work and then correctly installing new undercabinet lighting, replacing lighting fixtures and boxes, and adding new lighting and outlet in a pantry. All of this took time and communication, and I found Thomas to be a very responsive, respectful professional who is highly knowledgeable of electrical codes and skilled at problem-solving. Our project had multiple problems that needed his wide-ranging skills and experience. He took great care of our home, and I am so pleased with the finished work. A few years ago, I had hired Thomas to install bedroom recessed lighting and add exterior and garage outlets for us, and that work was also done extremely well. I only wish I had hired him from the start of our kitchen and bathroom work this year, instead of the other person. I am so grateful Thomas took this on for us. I was looking for some new lightening fixtures and surround sound for my showroom and I was referred to Thomas at Classic Electric and was not disappointed.     February 5, 2014To Whom It May Concern:I had a great experience hiring Classic Electric to install a new electrical panel and move our PGE meter to the other side of the garage to meet a code.Thomas Adams, the owner, was very professional. He communicated to me about the bid, what I needed and what I did not need. He does not like to add on a bunch of stuff that would cost me more but put more money into his pocket. I appreciate his honesty.He gave us a fair bid.He arrived when he said he would, did his job and left after a long day.He ran out of time to finish the job to his expectations, so, instead of rushing to finish, he choose to finish the details the next day. We were up and running with power, but he came back the next day and did time consuming details like straightening the wires, caulking the openings and cleaning up. He gave himself more time to do the job right. Thomas just likes to do a professional job.I had to ask him to come back two separate times and diagnosis a couple of problems that I thought were part of the installation. They turned out to be a problem in my house wiring. But you need to know that Thomas was quick in adjusting his schedule, returning to make sure his work was correct.     Thomas took on an electrical job I can only describe as one of biblical proportions! Adnara Equestrian Center is a boarding facility in Aurora that had previously been owned by a do-it-your- self kind of guy using duct tape and bailing twine. The wiring in the main boarding barn was a hodge podge of disaster waiting to happen. After meeting with several electricians to assess the scope of the job I chose to work with Classic Electric because Thomas had a can-do attitude and assured me the end product would be both up to code and permitted.     Finally an electrical contractor I trust! Classic Electric was recommended to me by the a trusted strategic partner. The lighting in our kitchen was so outdated. We have a long row of can lights that light up the whole neighborhood but never seems to give enough light in just the area you need it. Thomas took the call. He scheduled us right away. He had great ideas on how to give us the levels of lighting we needed just where we needed it. The bid was in the ballpark and delivered in 24 hours. He scheduled around our countertop installations to make it easy on us and even made a special trip to pull wires while the countertop installation was in process.
