    Ryan is an amazing carpenter. He designed, crafted, and installed beautiful birch shelves into wall cut outs with uneven side walls. His skill, patience, and attention to detail is second to none. He is also an incredibly personable, nice, and genuinely great person! Thank you Ryan!!!

    Ryan crafted a shoe cubby bench complete with an opening lid for my laundry room, and I couldnt be more pleased with the result. Its not only incredibly functional but also adds a touch of elegance to the space. I adorned it with a custom cushion ordered from Amazon. His attention to detail and personable nature made the entire process enjoyable. I wholeheartedly recommend Ryan for his exceptional workmanship and demeanor.

    I reached out to Ryan to get help installing a fireplace mantle. Ryan was quick to respond and schedule time to come view the space and take measurements. Throughout the process, he was communicative and gave updates on where he was at with this work and project. Installation of the mantle was smooth, and Ryan made sure everything was perfect before signing off on completion.Ryan is amazing to work with and I’ll definitely seek his help for any future projects!

    As new residents to Scottsdale, we found Ryans ad in the Be Local magazine. We were really excited to find a professional in our area, specializing in exactly what we were looking to do. We wanted a built in wood bench in our kitchen area and saw on Ryans website he had done something similar. I reached out to him, and he got back to me immediately - with an estimate that day, saying he could come by that afternoon to see the space. He started 2 days later, and had the exact design of the vision for our space that we were looking for. Ryan was timely, professional, kind and hard working - and made every effort to explain his process which all was very thoughtful. We love our finished product - it has tons of storage and fits perfectly in our space. We had such a great experience working with Ryan, he was so trustworthy and we would gladly use him again.

    I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Ryan’s Custom Woodworking! I wanted to convert a wood burning fireplace to an electric linear fireplace! I had a vision but had no idea how it could be done! Enter Ryan! He explained the process that would work and I ended up with a fabulous fireplace! His ideas were practical and he followed my dreams! He is very creative and completed the job so quickly! He worked with my suggestions and within my budget! I feel so fortunate to have him do the job and recommend him highly!

    We have used Ryans Custom Woodwork twice and couldnt be happier with the quality of his work and respect for our property. The first experience with Ryan was to convert our second double garage into a gallery garage to house our two sports cars. This involved tearing out sheetrock and installing insulation, installing overhead LED lights on dimmers, insulating the ceiling, painting, and installing a split AC/heat system for climate control. Ryan served as the general on our project and his workmanship was excellent.The second time was to help an elderly neighbor whose water heater had been leaking for some time. The job involved tearing out the affected area, doing mold remediation, and restoration. Ryan coordinated his work with the plumber and completed the job to perfection.Large or small, basic carpentry or custom finish work, I wouldnt consider using anybody else.

    First, let me say that my experience with most contractors hasnt been great, and theyre mostly non-responsive. To say Ryan is responsive would be an understatement as whenever Ive texted him, his normal response has been Im on my way and he appears at my door ten minutes later (no exaggeration). I cant recommend Ryan highly enough. He has done several projects at my house and his work is top notch and reasonable. Hes my go-to, and I will use him again without hesitation.

    We used Ryan for 3 projects over the past month - ceiling drywall repair, build and install closet shelving, and replace pantry doors and floorboards. Ryan has excellent ideas and a great eye for design. In our inital meeting he even potentially saved us money by pointing out the downsides and unnecessary nature of our idea to install ceiling beams in our open living area. Ryan is a very hard worker who has decades of experience and great problem solving skills too. We feel fortunate to have had him take on our projects, start them promptly, then complete them quickly and to high quality. Recommended, and looking forward to using again!

    I was in need of new wood casing on my exterior side garage door. Found Ryan on Nextdoor. Messaged him and within an hour he contacted me. I explained the job and sent pics.His price was extremely fair. Within 3 days he came by as promised (on time), explained what the job would entail and completed the job! Hes a very honest, sincere, and talented guy. A pleasure to deal with! You wont be disappointed!

    Excellent work by Ryan repairing, protecting and painting our outdoor wood beams. He also replaced the wood floor on two small balconies. He knows the issues that rain and sun cause on wood over time and repairing to the root of the problem. He uses a high quality wood protector and placed metal caps on the exposed beams. Ryan is reliable and friendly to work with. We highly recommend Ryan!

    Ryan from Ryan’s Custom Woodwork cut out a huge wall in our RV garage. This job included demo, painting, trim work, etc. Ryan did exactly what we envisioned. He was very communicative, pleasant, responsive and hard working. He did a really nice job and we are very happy with the work he did for us.

    I have a raised floor in my living room with a return duct coming out underneath it. There was a stone structure in place when we bought the house that we wanted to take out. Even with the odd angles Ryan was able to build a beautiful shelf to help divide the room and create some storage.

    I closed on a home on Nov 9. It had not been updated since it was built in 1983. I met with Ryan a few weeks before close and went over all of the renovations (new floor, baseboards, paint, doors/trim, build a 3rd bedroom/closet, enclose master bath from bedroom, remove wall between kitchen/dining room, remove wet bar, demo kitchen/bath counters, install new bath vanities). He assured me that all could be done by the time we needed to move in on Dec 23. Ryan was great to work with- he is hardworking and trustworthy. He has contacts with other trades and arranged with them to coordinate the necessary work (electric, drywall, plumbing). On Dec 23 everything was done as promised- we moved in. Ryan was true to his word and I highly recommend his work. He does what he says, follows through on what he promises and does great work. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone
