Sean Sill was able to diagnose an issue (defective boiler control for the pump inside of my 9 1/2 year old Weil McClain GV90+4 high efficiency boiler installed by an equally outstanding Long employee, Bill Long> The boiler since mid January of 2023 was unable to produce sufficient heat whenever the outdoor temperature was below 20 degrees and two excellent Long techs were unable to discover the issue which kept indoor temperature at between 64 and 69 degrees when the thermostat was set at 71. Due to severe arthritis and stenosis, I was very uncomfortable and used electric heat to warm the rooms to 71.Sean is an amazing and gracious technician and zi believe Long Energy is blessed to have him in a supervisory position. I am sure he is valuable to all the other techs.

I needed a new oil tank as mine was really old. I’ve had work done by other companies over the years by different oil companies and have not been happy. I called Long Energy and they said someone would come up to look at the job and give me a quote. I was shocked. He came at the time they said he would be here. He checked everything and gave me a quote and it was a very good price. I said ok. Put the new tank in. They came to do the install at the time promised. The 2 people that were here worked until it was done. They never stopped until it was done. They even did a cleanup job that was great. They had one of their oil trucks come up to give me a fill-up at a great price. First time I have been happy about having work done. I’ll stick with Long Energy for my oil and for any problems I have. Also, they are professional looking and take pride in their work and pride in their company. Go with Long Energy and you won’t be sorry.

Old AC unit, part of our heat pump, stopped working last night! Expected to be 90 degrees out today. Called Long Energy at 6:30am, they got back to us within an hour. They sent the technician out by 10:30-11:00 am and he worked on it in the scorching heat and fixed the thing!! Amazing mechanic, really friendly and really knew what he was doing! My boiler broke down and the temperature in my house was under 55°. Long Energy Center sent their technician Bob L, who is very knowledgeable and professional along with being friendly. He diagnosed the problem and repaired it in no time. I was so happy to have my heat working again. The workspace was left clean and you would never of known that he was there. I’ve had other companies come to my house and they have left the work area a mess. I am very satisfied with the work that was performed by Long Energy and their technician Bob and I will now be a loyal Long Energy customer. Two thumbs up to Long Energy and their technician!!

Andrew Brink from Long Energy has been great to work with, answers all of my questions promptly, and has been going above and beyond to provide me with excellent service. Plus Long Energy crushed all of the other companies (Roland, A Johnson, Appolo, & Holbrook) on price, while also providing me with a higher end unit for less $ than their competitors lower end models. I highly recommend Long Energy for HVAC systems!

I recently moved and needed a fuel company to deliver my Fuel oil and Propane. I made a call to Long Energy and within a few days, I had my Fuel tank filled. I inquired about service for my furnace and generator and they hooked us right up. Tech was on time, friendly, and very thorough. Being a new home owner and never having the experience to get these things done, Long Energy Customer Service and Sales as well as Service, were extremely helpful and not pushy. We truly feel like we were treated like one of the Family. We will be calling to have our Central Air tune up done by Long Energy. A great experience all the way around.

I recently contacted Long Energy to get an estimate to replace my 35 year old oil boiler. Art was at my house within a few days and shortly thereafter I had an estimate for the work. Woke up a 7 degree morning at 5 am with our furnace not working. We have 3 young children so this was concerning. Called The emergency service number for Long energy, all I can say is wow. They answered, tech calls me right back and they had someone at my house with a few hours and had out heat restored by 11am. This was amazing and I can not thank them enough. What a great experience in a time of need. I highly recommend this company. I have used them for Moana years now. I don’t know if there are cheaper options and I do not care. When it comes to great service and never missing me on a fill it is well worth every penny. Thank you again Long Family and your amazing team!!!!

They came to my house on October 25 and it is not until October 27 that they tell me the “parts of the heat” that they have to fix. Not to mention that although the heat has a guarantee I have to pay. The day the technician came, he left me completely without HEAT since, according to him, the problem is dangerous. But I have to wait a week or maybe two weeks for them to come and fix my heat. I mean right now we are in a temperature of less than 40 degrees and my house does not have heat. My daughters and I feeling cold. I only have to wait for them to call me to tell me when they are coming to fix my heat and the total cost of something that has a guarantee but how the guarantee “does not cover” certain parts!…I cannot give a good or bad review because it is the first time that I work directly with them since I just bought the house. What I did not like was that the technician left me without heat regardless of the fact that I have children in my house… My house is cold right now😭Update, after that they do a really GOOD job at my house when they change my heat…. I Loved❤️

If this is too long to read, the short version is:Go with Long Energy - excellent customer service!Longer version:We bought our (first) house in February 2022 and had no idea who to go with for fuel oil or propane. We started with a different company (not Long) for oil and a different company for propane (not Long). We didnt really know what a good price looked like either, and we were basically over our heads with the amount of money and time and knowledge about a lot of things that needed doing. (Since then weve been able to carve out time from our insane schedules to do lots of research and learning.)Anyway, our tanks are in the basement, in a crawl space that is hard to access due to our physical limitations. Additionally, the tank gauge was broken when we got it. The technician said the gauge wasnt fixable. The company we were using would not do auto scheduled deliveries, would only come (within a few days) if we called.Since we couldnt get to the tanks, and the gauge was broken, and because we were new homeowners without a single clue as to how much oil we would need in a given time, unsurprisingly we ended up realizing that we had run out when we returned from an out of town trip on a Saturday night after Thanksgiving (so, November temperatures.)Without going into all the details, basically cue a lot of unreturned phone calls, a cold night, rudeness to both myself and my wife on the phone, costly fees, and expensive fuel.I reached out to Long the next day and got started on setting up a new account.Several factors in life (which I wont get into here but just trust me) got in the way of finishing this process (our fault, not Longs) and we ran out again last night. We are truly not those people. We normally do things in a timely manner, arent late on bills, service things when they are due, and so. But it happened...Anyway, we made our way through the evening and then emailed Chris to ask for a delivery this morning (and then called a few minutes later because I was curious if they were open on the holiday) and I reached a live person in just a few rings. As my account had not been fully set up yet (again, my fault, not Longs), she reached out to Chris who emailed and then called me back within minutes.In fewer than two hours from the email I sent to Chris this morning, the technician delivered enough fuel to get us running for the next day or two, knocked on the door to get the furnace going and then knocked again to let us know it was all set, and we had heat again! On a holiday. Unlike the previous company, they did not make us feel stupid for something we already felt bad enough about. We already had and have quite enough on our plates.We are scheduled to get a regular full delivery tomorrow and we will be on auto-delivery going forward. (We wanted to switch our propane too, but discovered it would cost $150 to get out of our contract and another $150 for them to pick up the tank we rent from them. So thats for another day.)Thanks for reading this saga... the point is, we have been 100x happier with Longs customer service, efficiency, follow up, timely delivery, and just general awesomeness. I wanted to share my positive experiences with Long Energy. This past weekend my oil furnace quit working, thankfully had enough space heaters to get by. Called the office Monday morning and spoke with very helpful woman (can’t remember her name) who courteously and efficiently took my info. Within a half hour the service technician named Luke arrived. Luke was very knowledgeable and courteous as he fixed the problem, all while explaining to me what he was doing and teaching me as a fairly new homeowner the basics of how my heating system works and how to maintain it. I have had nothing but good experiences with Long Energy regarding oil delivery, customer service, repairs and pricing. I have no reason to look anywhere else for my energy needs.Andy in Albany

One phone call. and had a great conversation with Roger, VP at Long Energy, who had me set up for delivery in a few hours and installed remote monitoring. AWESOME SERVICE on the eve of a big snow/ice storm. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, especially if you support local businesses!!We were with another supplier who promised propane delivery between 1/26-2/1. No show 2/3/22. We were at 7% and heat over 6000+ sq ft. Couldnt get through to anyone local within the company (spoke to several reps in Ohio!!) and after 4 attempts on the phone to escalate it, finally was told that we were overscheduled and couldnt guarantee delivery. That was it for us. Were done.

I was a Long energy customer for 9 years and made the mistake to switching to John ray, a friend got me to switch with a killer price, everything went well until the next season I was kicked off their “friends and family” plan, had to push to get back on. We then ran out of propane in the middle of winter after not seeing a delivery truck for 2 MONTHS! With my 6 month old in the house. Again had to call and push and make waves again to get someone to come out. One thing after another I got extremely frustrated. Decided to reach out to Chris Long who responded to me promptly who also was grateful / flattered to take me back as a customer. When we switched from an electric to a gas stove Long Energy was terrific at determining where the propane tank should go, installing the tank and hooking up the new range quickly and professionally. And when it turned out the burners werent quite right someone from Long Energy came right away (even though it was the night before a holiday) to adjust the burners.Long really seems to put the customer first!

We have had a 15 year service and installation history with Long Energy. In that time, they have done all of our annual gas boiler inspections, cleanings and parts replacements (expansion tanks, thermostats, etc.), installed a mini-split AC unit, capped off an unused gas line and done extensive plumbing upgrades, removing old, original galvanized pipe and replacing. Every technician who has been at our house has been top notch, every job done with the greatest of professionalism and attention to detail. I have talked with many other homeowners in my neighborhood about their HVAC experiences and have always pointed them to Long. With so much mediocrity in service industries these days, it is comforting to know that in every way, Long Energy sticks to the basics: do the job right and customers will come back again and again.
