I needed an electrician to install an outlet behind my oven for an upcoming oven replacement. My old oven was directly hardwired to a 220v line coming up from a hole in the floor. There was another hole in the floor for a 120v line that powered things like the microwave. There was also a hole in the wall where the 120v line went up to the microwave. It was a complete mess (see attached photos).I called and spoke with Gordon Brooker, explained what I needed, and he went over a couple different options, provided his recommendation, and just asked that I let him know if I wanted to proceed. After the call Gordon followed up via email with a detailed list of all the action items that would be completed to finish the job, as well as an outstanding price. I replied and said that I wanted to move forward and we scheduled an appointment time.On the day of the appointment Gordons son Ben arrived to do the work. Ben was very professional, friendly, and detail-oriented. Ben said it would take about an hour but ended up spending two hours to do everything right. Before doing any work, he explained what he would do (which matched exactly to Gordons email) - pull the 220v wire down into the garage below and cap it off in a junction box, run the 120v line into the wall, connect the 120v line to a new outlet, and connect the outlet to the existing 120v line in the wall (that powers the microwave). Since the new oven is a gas oven, it only needed 120v, not 220v. This is much more efficient because it saves energy and only requires one power line (120v) to be installed in the wall. As a bonus, if I ever get an electric car I can use the now-available 220v box (see photo) in the garage to charge the car.When Ben was done he showed me everything he did - new 220v junction box in the garage and new 120v outlet in the kitchen. Now, instead of three holes with wires coming out of them in the kitchen there are none. Ben installed a GFCI outlet with a power light that clearly shows the breaker is on, which is a nice feature if I forget to turn it off. I was extremely impressed. Everything looks amazing.After Ben left, and before the oven was replaced the next day, I filled the two holes in the floor with wood putty and patched up the hole in the wall with drywall and mud. So happy to have that oven outlet installed and all three holes filled. I attached this after photo of that so you can see the incredible work that Ben did.I was extremely impressed with Brooker Electric and would highly recommend them for any electrical work, Ethernet cable installation, breaker box maintenance, etc.

We were very pleased with the undercabinet lighting Gordon and his son Ben installed for us in Woodstock in July, 2021. We had two quotes for the job. Gordons was slightly lower, even though the other guys quote included a supposed discount.But the thing that impressed us was that Gordon inspired confidence without being overbearing, explained things thoroughly, and took the time to inspect the house structure so he could determine how to best design the wiring.On the install day, the fixtures we had bought turned out to have some features that required a creative readjustment, but Gordon and Ben worked through that, even though it required coming back a second day to finish it, at no extra charge. They worked on some very hot days, with no breaks, and did a thorough cleanup. They were pleasant, careful and courteous. I will trust them with future jobs. Highly recommended.

He took care of a few switch and wiring issues for us and spent the time to remedy a few other issues with the wiring not directly related to our problem at no additional charge. Very fair pricing for a job well done and the peace of mind you get for a job well done.

Gordon and his Ben installed a light in my office where there wasn’t any wiring. They did a fantastic job. They were extremely detailed, respectful of my home and only made a small drywall hole to run the wiring. I was expecting a huge hole to run the wires but it was only an inch or two. They patched it up and I just did a quick touch up paint job. Would highly recommend!

Gordon told me over the phone that his minimum service call was $189. He came over, saw I hadnt been mistaken about my request being a straightforward job, got it done quickly, pointed out some code violations in my panel (that I couldnt have him fix at the time because it would have required powering off the house), and even gave me a reduced price! I will be calling him first the next time I need work done. Recommended.

I wish I could write a 5 star review for Gordon every time he helps me. Ive worked with him for several years on my office building and my home. He always tries to help resolve issues by phone first to save you the cost of a visit. When he does come he does high quality work at a very reasonable cost. Hes highly responsive and honest. I hate to need an electrician, but Im happy I know Gordon and his team.

Gordon and Ken were courteous, professional, and super-effective at what they do. For an EV charger wiring installation they showed up on time and installed everything quickly. Gordon even came back and troubleshot a charger issue I was having, at no charge (pun not intended :) ). Ill be calling on Gordon and Ken for all my electrical work going forward.

This electrician was excellent. They were timely, worked well, cleaned up existing electrical work to a higher standard, and possibly most importantly, were priced extremely fairly. They were of tremendous help when we needed a solution for a specific situation, but didnt know what we needed. They knew exactly what they were doing and used the right tool for the job, everytime. I would highly recommend Gordon and his crew to anyone looking for electrical work in Atlanta, whether it be commercial or residential. We are extremely satisfied.

After a power outage, I was referred to Brooker Electric from another electrician who was unable to complete my job. The owner Gordon called me back promptly, and even though I live out of his area of service, was kind enough to walk me through how to fix the problem myself. There was nothing in it for him, since I was too far away for him and his team. But yet he took the time to stay on the phone, troubleshoot the problem, and get my power back on. This kind of customer service and willingness to go above and beyond is hard to find these days. I wish I lived within Brooker Electrics area of operation, because I would gladly call them for any electrical work I might need in the future.

They came out and did a thorough walk through, in our newly purchased older home. Their estimate was easy to understand and was reasonable. They came back a couple days later for the work...were on time, did all the work quickly, made a couple of suggestions - which made total sense. They even made a few improvements and fixed a couple things they noticed...for no charge.Theyre dependable, knowledgeable and very affordable. The work was AMAZINGLY well done. They took the time to understand what I was planning to do with the storage room we were adding lights to and its all set up for drywall now with a little wiggle room in case the lights need to be adjusted slightly. They also added an outlet for a recirculating pump near the water heater. Even though both of these are unfinished areas, their work was tidy and neat. The guys even came out early so I could get to work on time so thanks for everything!

Man!! I searched a while looking for someone that would actually do a job up to code! I tried using all of your common corporate people, and always got serious issues with excuses. Im done with the search.... I found Brooker Electric, and decided to try them out. I HAVE ZERO REGRETS!!! THE MASTER ELECTRICIAN came out himself to look at an issue, and not some un-certified junior trying to grab a buck; like all of your main corporations out there. Brooker Electric found some serious code violations from past contractors that I used that were supposedly used widely by everyone. He came out and diagnosed a problem I was with a light, and then fixed other serious code violations that would have prevented me from ever selling my house!!! I found it very comforting and enlightening to talk with him, and discover about things I should watch out for. He ended up being the BEST at PRICES, QUALITY, PROFESSIONALISM, and TIME. I have nothing but great things to speak of him, and will use him for the future.

I had an outdoor outlet that kept tripping and it was affecting all of our landscape lighting. Gordon was prompt in his response time and showed up exactly when he said he would. He gave me a stated fee for him to trouble shoot the problem and he stuck to that fee as promised. Everyone else I contacted quoted me a show up fee along with an ominous per hour fee to go along with it which was scary. Gordon got our problem fixed and did a wonderful job. He is very reliable and reasonably priced!
