I have had Hughes Painting LLC do three major painting jobs in my large 1915 home in Woodland Heights. The first, they painted the walls and cabinets in the kitchen, the first floor bath, and the living room in 2018. Then, second, the painted the very needy front porch--floor, ceiling, railing and supports. Most recently, this January 2021, Hughes crew did two large rooms, 16 x 17 feet, both with 3-4 doors, windows, and fireplaces--lots of needy woodwork. Hughes people are experts at what they do and pleasant to have around. During this most recent job, everyone wore masks and maintained appropriate social distancing while getting the job done efficiently. And the result is exquisite: two rooms that Id neglected because the ceilings here are high and I dont feel comfortable on ladders anymore. One room had not been painted since before I moved in 32 years ago, and it required care work with lead paint dust. Hughes people cleaned up well after each days work and thoroughly after the final job. You cannot go wrong with this company. -

I have used Hughes Painting for exterior work for many years and more recently interior painting. George and his crew spend considerable time preparing the surfaces and it makes a huge difference in the finished product. We have never had exterior paint jobs last as long and I am convinced that it is the preparation as well as the products George selects. He and his crew are professional, courteous, and beyond merely competent. I am sure you can find a cheaper painter, but George is for you if you are looking for real value. -

We have had Hughes Painting paint the exterior of our home 3 times now and the last paint job lasted 8 years! They are extremely professional and take great care to clean up after each work day. George always has excellent recommendations for how best to complete a project. We have also had them strip a great deal of wallpaper and replace it with paint. The crew was efficient and the living room, foyer, stairway, and long hallway looked perfect. It was difficult to tell they had even been there (except for the new paint!) because everything was so neat when they left. When you need a project done, this company should be your first call. -

We have used Hughes Painting three times over the last 10 years. They are always professional, trustworthy, and thorough in the work they do. This year we hired them to paint the inside of our home. It was no easy job. They had to completely remove the wallpaper, strip the backing off the wall, repair where needed, sand, and prime before they could begin painting.Weeks after they had finished, I was amazed at how meticulous of a job they did. I cannot thank George Hughes and his crew enough for what they have done for us over the years. Yes, we will hire them again. -

We interviewed 4 different companies and selected Hughes Painting to repaint the exterior of our house. Of the companies we met with, Georges was the most experienced and most professional, and offered what the others had not, including a typed, detailed scope of work, a reference list, and a copy of the insurance he carries on himself and his crew (important when you consider the height of our 4 story house!). And his pricing was very competitive for the scope of work completed - we felt very comfortable that we knew exactly what we were getting with George.The paint & trim work look fantastic, the guys in the crew were extremely polite and courteous (we have 2 young children running around who hear everything) and I was amazed at how efficient they were with the project.Would highly recommend Hughes Painting if youre looking for a turnkey painting company that does really great work at reasonable prices. Would definitely use them again. -

George and his crew probably care more about the exterior and interior walls of your house than you do. Hughes Painting has helped us with interior walls and some exterior repairs, always on time, with great attention to detail, clear communication, and good results. I dont know if hes the cheapest around, but the prices are very reasonable, and I dont intend to shop around to others in the future. For the level of professionalism and great results, very much worth it. Will use them again any time we have a need. -

I hired Hughes Painting to paint my house exterior, Fall 2014. They did a great job and Id hire them again in a heartbeat!When George gave me the quote for the work, he handed me a 2 page document on the companys qualifications, experience, a list of client references I could call, and their insurance and bonding information (id numbers, insurance company phone numbers, etc.). That was awesome and unlike anything any contractor had ever provided to me before.George and his entire crew were professional and the work was top-quality. When George wasnt there the rest of the crew didnt slack off or perform any differently.Maybe best of all, from the quote and through the work itself, they let me know about every possible thing that might be an extra charge (leaving the choice to me) - mostly some boards that had popped off or needed to be replaced. There were no unexpected charges or surprises at the end. The whole process was smooth and my wife and I were very happy with the final result. -

From start to finish, Hughes Painting did an excellent job. Their bid was very competitive. They were very responsive. They kept me informed about additional work that needed to be done. They did an excellent job of removing the old paint before they began. They were mindful of the shrubbery and always cleaned up my property at the end of the day. And the painting they did was thorough and well done. Id hire them again anytime.
