The professionalism and deportment of the N Chasen team members is unsurpassed in my experience. We sincerely appreciated the accuracy of the initial estimate and the quality of the work performed is outstanding. Team members were friendly, answered questions, and gave clear options when decisions were needed. The work site was left neat at the end of each day. And the amount of care all team members displayed for our property and the end results was wonderful. We cannot recommend N Chasen & Son highly enough!

I was very impressed with the professionalism and communication of N Chasen & Son. The staff consulted with me on exactly how many rolls were required as this was my first time wallpapering. I received my quotes in a timely manner and they were able schedule the work quickly. There was even a narrow opening between two doors and the contractor seamlessly covered the wall (pictures below).

We used N. Chasen to install some grass cloth wall paper on an accent wall in our great room. There were two sections of wall on either side of a fireplace and the walls were polygon shaped. The highest point was about 14’ off the floor. They also had to cut out around windows and shelves. They did an amazing job. They were quick, clean, professional, affordable, and we didn’t have to pay them a dime until the work was completed to our satisfaction. I highly recommend them!

We chose N Chasen to help us refinish our dining room after a recommendation from a family member who had impressive results for their room remodel. When we moved into our house the dining room had old, outdated wallpaper that was partly removed by the previous owner anyway. I did the did the rest of the removal with a steamer, but that effort left damages to the walls as the paper was difficult to get it to release without pulling layers of paint and part of the drywall paper. N Chasen confidently repaired the walls to include a sealer to prevent any remaining glue from bleeding through. They then painted 2 coats on everything from the ceiling, the crown and chair moldings, the window and doors trim, then to the baseboard, all with our choice of colors for the wall and trim. What a relief to have this project done and we can now use our dining room.

Wonderful experience. They were fairly priced, very clean, and had incredible attention to detail. We had a little revision work that needed to be done and they were back out the next morning and everything turned out perfectly. They patched holes in our ceiling after having recessed lighting installed, repainted the ceiling, and painted out two-story foyer and all of it turned out great.

Everything set out in the contract was done on schedule and done well! The minimal needed touch-up work was done immediately and to a high standard. We have used Chasen before, so we were not really surprised. Or rather, perhaps we were surprised only by the contrast between Chasen and some other contractors (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc.) whose service ethic has slipped somewhat in recent years. This project, though substantial, was a bit of a test, and Chasen passed with flying colors! We will be scheduling other projects with them in the near future. Its hard to overstate the value of knowing that the work will be done skillfully and that you will be dealt with in good faith.

From every step of the process to initial consult, the reception team, and production team, everyone was courteous, kind, knowledgeable, and professional. Prior to our project being started we were provided with a detailed itinerary of what to expect. They did excellent work painting our lofted living room and kitchen ceilings. We will likely hire them for future paint jobs of our lofted spaces and likely for other services that they offer. Highly recommend!! They are family-owned and hire all their own contractors. They do not subcontract.

We were extremely pleased with the work that was done to repair our ceiling after a water leak. The drywall was repaired and the ceiling was painted and we cannot even tell there was ever an issue. I contacted N. Chasen and Son to replace our shutters. While working on the quote for the shutters via email, a wind storm tore some trim off our house, so I asked if they could include that as part of the work (as well as replacing some siding and a louver). They sent someone out the next week to check the shutter dimensions and determine what was needed for the trim, siding, and louver. They suggested repainting the louvers instead of replacing, and sent me a quote for all the work and to get it scheduled.On the scheduled date, Marcus was on time and very friendly. He walked me through everything they were going to do and explained that the shutters were on backorder and would be in later in the week, but he replaced the trim and painted one of the louvers (he needed a longer ladder for the second). He had to return a few times to finish the work, but he made sure it was all completed and the quality is fantastic.Im very pleased with my experience with N. Chasen and Son and will definitely hire again when I have need.

We had two different small projects that needed to be done at our home. The first was the ceiling in a bedroom, where someone had inadvertently stepped through the drywall from above in the attic. It required drywall repair and painting the ceiling. The gentleman that came to do the work was professional and did an excellent job. You can not tell where the ceiling was repaired and the paint job on the ceiling is crisp and clean.The second project was an outside door frame where the previous owners dog had chewed the bottom of the molding and it was starting to rot. Because this was carpentry work, a different gentleman came to perform this work. He also was very professional and did excellent work. Both were on time and cleaned their work areas so that nothing was left behind and all debris was taken away. It was easy to get a quote and easy to schedule the work. We are very satisfied and will use N. Chasen & Son again if we need other work done.

N Chasen & Son was contracted by the homeowners association to do work and paint the condos. Trim was replaced around my front door. The storm door had to be removed to do the work. My door was old and when it was replaced it did not fit correct. I contacted Mr. McCartney and he came out to check the door and said they would send out workers to check it. It could not be fixed. He said he would replace the storm door.Two workers came out and put up a new door. The were professional and polite. They did a great job. I would recommend this company as they are fair and I feel they went above and beyond.

Being from Richmond, Ive known about N. Chasen Co. most of my life. And have always thought of you as the premier painting company in Richmond. When my wife told me shed called you for an estimate to paint the interior of our home, I kind of chuckled, thinking the estimate was going to be way more than we wanted to pay. Even some RVA friends said it would be a high estimate. Then we met with Mike Martinez. He was excellent at explaining how N. Chasen would do our project. And then we received the estimate.....I can only say that I was floored. The estimate was a few thousand dollars less than another estimate we almost accepted. Because of the savings, we added more work that we didnt think we could do. Not only was the price excellent, but so was your workmanship and professionalism. And the idea that you gave us 2 weeks after the work was completed before we had to pay, giving us time to make sure we were happy with the work, was amazing! Im so glad my wife reached out to you. We look forward to working with you again for our future painting needs.
