    The Elite team was very responsive to my request to have my a/c fixed. It broke down on Friday morning and was up and running again by Saturday morning. Geoff let me know when he was coming and he showed up on time. He was great at explaining our system and even recommended we buy less expensive filters. Apparently my unit is too old to use the newer filters that are able to handle the smallest of particles. So I’m going to save a lot of money on filters too. Great job, great service and great people.

    The hot water tank went out right before Thanksgiving. Richey property sent out their maintenance guys(Twins). They did a wonderful job! Friendly, personable(easy to talk with), showed real concern for us! Polite. Just really good guys. We now have a New hot water tank and hot water again! Much appreciated!Update May 2024: We have been with Richey now for 7 years and remain very satisfied. Even if inevitable small hiccups occur, they are resolved quickly.Our new property manager with them, Danielle, just helped us getting a failing fridge replaced. She took the time to sort through warranty issues, and when this did not work, she got us a great discount on a new fridge, while making sure to keep the tenants covered in the meantime with a rental fridge.

    When Richey Property Management company took over our existing property management company it was very easy and seamless. They managed our leased property for the last year or so with easy communications and methods for making rental payments, repair requests, etc. When we found out we had to move, they were very accommodating and we worked closely together to ensure the property could be rented in a timely manner and it was!     The rental townhouse I lived in was previously managed by King Organization for years and then Richey Property Management took over. Once Richey Property took over, repairs were handled in a more timely manner. At times, it was challenging to reach people over the phone because they were out working in the field on properties, but they were always responsive via email and responded to repair requests quickly. Niko was my primary point of contact and he was really outstanding to deal with.     I have lived in my current home for 2 years now after finding on Zillow and applying to rent. I have always heard terrible things about property management companies, but I can attest that this one is great. Not only are they very responsive and timely with maintenance requests, but their system itself is very easy to use. There was a bit of turnover with my property managers about a year in which was always quickly resolved and communicated to me. Diego is my current property manager and he is fantastic. Very communicative, polite and on top of it all! I even had to change my lease 5 months before it ended and they made the process so smooth and easy. 10/10 recommend

    The Richey Property Management team has provided us with excellent service for our investment property in Alexandria. As property owners living outside the US and coming off an extremely negative experience with a well known full-service real estate firm, David Kipper, David Buckingham, Zack Brown and the other members of the Richey PM team did an outstanding job arranging contractors for required maintenance and cleaning work at the property. Their efforts enabled us in a little over 2 weeks to make a smooth transition to a new tenancy. We were working against a tight deadline and the Richey PM team pulled out all the stops to make things happen. They have a strong network of maintenance and service contractors and have been highly responsive in addressing any issues that have arisen in respect of the property. There are many firms that profess to provide property management services in the NOVA region, but the members of the Richey team work as a cohesive unit -- and deliver great results. We recommend them highly for anyone looking for property management services in NOVA -- especially property owners residing outside the US.

    I have been with RPM for close to 2 years after a nightmare property management company who did no work. The seamless transition and transfer from another company in the middle of a lease was incredible and easy for me as I live overseas.My first property manager was okay but it wasnt until Kim became my manager that I realized what good service looked like.     With the help from Sue Richey and her team at Richey Real Estate Services, I had successfully completed a 1031 exchange of selling my relinquished property and purchasing the replacement property within the six-month time frame set by the 1031 tax deferred exchange rule.Sue connected me to work with Realty Exchange Corporation to serve as a qualified intermediary to complete the tax-deferred exchanges of selling my relinquished property and purchasing the replacement property under requirements set by the 1031 exchange rule.In the fall of 2020 and the spring of 2021, I was very fortunate to have Sue and her team to list and sell my relinquished property and purchase the replacement property under the 1031 exchange rule. Her team worked diligently to assist me to prepare the property ready for listing, marketing, secure a sale contract, and close the contract in less than six weeks. As soon as the sale contract ratified, we proceeded to the identification phase of the 1031 exchange rule to identify a replacement property to purchase. At the same time, she referred me to a reputable lender to finance my mortgage loan for the replacement property.Although we were able to identify a replacement property and sign the purchase contract within the 45-days identification phase, we had problems with the seller of that home due to undisclosed issues they had which needed to be cleared up before we could close. The Seller was supposed to resolve her issues in a timely manner before closing otherwise the seller would breach the contract. Thanks to Sue and her team, they stayed on top of the situation every step of the way. Sue and her team worked very efficiently to coordinate with the settlement company, and worked with all the parties involved to resolve the issues just a few weeks before the expiration date set by the 1031 rule. I was very happy to be able to close the contract in time to accomplish my objective using the 1031 exchange rule.I greatly appreciate the services provided by Richey Real Estate Services for selling and purchasing my properties. Sue and her team are very knowledgeable in real estate transactions, including selling and purchasing properties using the 1031 tax deferred exchange rule. They stayed on top of every phase of the complex 1031 exchange rule to successfully sell my relinquished property and purchase the replacement property.I highly recommend Richey Real Estate Services, under the leadership of Sue Richey to provide real estate services to clients.

    Very good service.I live in a different state and Richey has been great managing my property in Virginia. I love the propertyware.com portal that they use to upload all documents including invoices from service people and document the finances of my property. They always inform me of problems and deal with tenants directly so I do not have to. It is great having such service making your property management hands off.

    Our experience with RPM began as a few others have noted- inconsistent communication and missed service requests. However, they changed up their property managers a few months ago and our experience totally changed! Kim has been very responsive and has helped navigate unorthodox leasing questions literally ALL hours of the day and night. Were now at the end of our lease and she is doing everything she can to ensure we get our deposit back as soon as possible which is always a big relief. Thank you, Kim!
