I had a 50 amp breaker trip in my house and it wouldn’t reset. I didn’t want to mess with this so I contacted Emerald after closing time. Frankly I didn’t expect a fast response and at best I figured I’d get an appointment a week out. I got a reply that night and they could squeeze me in the next day between their other appointments! Dennis texted me the next day with a time window when he could show up and was very prompt. He quickly did the troubleshooting and found my problem. He needed to come back later in the day with some parts to finish the job. He was completed the job and left the site clean. I really appreciated the fast turn on the job.

I first hired Emerald State Electric 4 years ago, Dennis replaced my panel and updated the electrical and wiring. Prices were reasonable, as well as being friendly, polite and professional. Recently I ran into a few unrelated issues and he was quick to come out and help. Will definitely use him in the future. Highly recommend

Having used many contractors while renovating several houses, most of the crews that I work with always seem to either charge extraordinary prices, or take their time getting to your job - once they do show, it always seems to take more than one business day to get done, regardless of how small the gig was. Emerald State is fantastic that it falls outside of these norms. These guys are great! I came across them as a referral and since then they are my first call anytime I need electrical help. Extremely knowledgeable - if they dont know something immediately, they find out and get back to you. Theyre prompt - always on time. And best of all, they get the job done, even when it looks like its gonna be a 2 day job, they seem to always get it taken care of the first day. With the current property Im working with, there has been a ton of work needed where the original electricians did it wrong, and now required some out of the box thinking to get it working right - Emerald State Electric seems to specialize in that and has never let me down.Dont waste your time trying to find other contractors to do electrical work, just give these guys a call. Youll be happy you did.

We hired Emerald State Electric years ago to come and fix the work of another electrician. They did an outstanding job and since then we have called on them (in both our old and newer house) whenever we need electrical work done. Theyre smart, work hard - and so troubleshoot well. They communicate clearly, are polite, and clean up thoroughly when theyre done. I highly recommend Emerald State Electric!

We have had Emerald State Electric to our home 3 separate times to install 2 ceiling fans, several lighting fixtures as well as adding multiple outlets to accommodate new LED lighting in our kitchen. We request Brian and Brady every time as both men are friendly, arrive on time and work hard. Their rates are reasonable and they are knowledgeable and seem more than capable of doing whatever we need done. We feel like we really get our moneys worth and will be calling them again whenever we need more electrical work done.

Exceptional customer service ! I woke up to a very cold house and realized the circuit breaker for my furnace had gone bad. So after reading several excellent reviews for the company, I called Emerald State Electric. I got a hold of a real person immediately ! I explained my situation, and Dennis told me he could come out to my house as soon as he was done with his current customer. He was at my home ASAP ! He diagnosed and fixed the bad circuit breaker very quickly, he also explained quite a bit about my electrical panel...I was relieved to find out it wasnt as bad as I thought ! Dennis replaced an additional circuit breaker, added a circuit breaker, rearranged some wiring to make the panel less crowded and therefore safer, even took a quick look at my heater for me ! All of this was work was done very quickly, very thoroughly and for a very reasonable price. Dennis went above and beyond my expectations and I am thrilled to have found an electrician that I can trust. I will be calling Dennis for any future electrical work that my home needs :)

We have been using Dennis for several years for many different jobs. He replaced the electrical panel in our first house, performed minor repairs on outlets and wiring, repaired a Casablanca ceiling fan, upgraded out greenhouse wiring to be safe around water, finished installation of a whole house generator, and most recently ran a new line to a new heated floor in our bathroom. He has always been upfront with pricing, providing estimates for the larger projects. He is a completely competent professional who deserves to be paid appropriately; we have no complaints about cost. Dennis is professional, communicates well, and does what he says he is going to do. Highly recommended.

I was having some issues with my electrical panel and wanted both it and the subpanel gone thru verifying all breakers. Dennis arrived on time looked things over andshowed me the reason for my major problem and gave me several options to get things sorted out. He worked diligently all day organizing and in some cases running new wire between the panels, relabeling the breakers and making sure all was up to code.Dennis explained everything, answered all my questions, left me with two very neatly wired panels making it a very positive experience. I would not hesitate to use Emerald State Electric again.

These guys are great! Came in on time, did as promised, warned me of the fire hazard my existing electrical panel posed (which was what my inspector had told me about when I was looking to buy the place). When going through to see why my power was randomly turning itself off - then coming on again - we found outlets filled with debris, missing boxes, etc (more fire hazards). Brian also found the best replacement panel for me, taking into account existing conditions and my new services plans (laundry room, ventilation fans, replacing circuits, etc.) and gave me a good deal on the new electrical panel. They were very upfront with the costs, explained the processes to me in some detail, their estimated time needed for each thing, etc. It was NICE to not have to wonder whats next.

Woke up Sunday morning & our bathroom lights, fans, sockets as well as the bedrooms on either side & the hall were not working. We tested the swithes on the electrical panel & still no luck. I went on yelp & google to search for an electrician & made a call to the top rated company asking them to call back asap to schedule something. Well the top rated company didnt call back for 2 days & only called to say they were booked 2 weeks out. My hubby doesnt like going 2 weeks without shaving so I had already called Emerald State (#2 ranked in my area) who were able to come the same day! Dennis had it diagnosed & working in under 2 hours & quoted on a secondary job as well & scheduled to come back 2 days later to fix that as well... Seems the folks who owned the house before my hubby had connected all the sockets in the dining room & the bathroom wall heater to be 220 volts. Dennis had that all rewired in 45 minutes. We will definitely use this company for any electrical issues going forward!

Emerald state responded immediately to my phone call about having conduit put in before the cement was poured in my husband’s shop. It was a last minute question and Dennis not only was able to get all the conduit laid but help me determine the best design and lighting for the shop. He laid out all the options and let me choose. There was never pressure to buy high end and he was just as willing to put in any pieces my husband had collected over the years. I really appreciated his candor and guidance in a tough situation. Then he came to my new home and sorted out the issues I had there, too.

Quite a few months ago I had a problem with Comcast.... they stated my house had an electrical problem. my landlords paid emerald state electric to check the whole house, they established the house I live in is grounded normally and everything checked out. after a couple of days fighting with Comcast (they kept saying something was wrong with the house) I called emerald state again to get any help I could. I was amazed that he came out that night on his own dime to double check my house. Im horrible at names but if I ever need any other electrical help again Ill definitely be calling emerald state electric again. FYI Comcast are idiots and I fixed the problem myself.

Absolutely awesome experience! We were worried when we started to look for an electrician that we would end up with someone who would overcharge us or cut corners. These guys were awesome! Dennis was at our house about 2 hours after the call and was able to identify the problem in about 15 minutes. He then walked my husband through every step of the repair, explained everything he was doing, and gave pointers to identify the problem (and even fix it ourselves) in the future. I would definitely recommend these guys to anyone. Fast, great work, and a great price!
