I would highly recommend an energy audit with Midwest Building Performance. I was impressed with how conscientious and thorough Todd was with his inspection and report. He clearly cares about his work. He was working alone the day he did the audit on our house, and he was here for almost 8 hours. When we got the initial quote for the audit, I thought the cost was high, but after seeing the labor and care that goes into Todds work, I think what he charges is a bargain. He identified health and safety issues in the house (some serious) that I would have never thought to check for. He had detailed recommendations for moisture mitigation and improved energy efficiency beyond what wed identified ourselves. He even caught a number of issues with the house that were missed in the home inspection. His work gives us a much better idea of what to invest our home improvement budget in, and the upgrades we make based on his recommendations will pay for themselves over time. Money well spent!

Midwest did an energy audit for me after a miserably cold winter in my newly purchased home. Todd did excellent review of safety as well as energy saving activities needed to improved my home and gave me a simple prioritized list of recommendations for action. He answered multiple phone calls and texts from me as I worked through the list as well as advising me about other home repairs. He was at my house several times guiding contractors toward his high expectations. I highly recommend his services. I wish I had contacted him to inspect my house before I had purchased it so I would have had a clearer picture of the actions needed for safety and improvements before I bought it. The inspector I hired was superficial and missed many things.

What a great company, Todd does an outstanding job, he checks every nook & cranny, runs countless tests to find out were you might have leaks letting air into your home that need addressing. Then after he has completed his evaluations, you get a very thorough report outline what you should do to tighten up your home. He is also there to answer any questions and provide guidance on how to move forward. He also has countless contacts in the field to make recommendations on addressing your problem areas. I highly recommend EverGreen Home Energy Consultants, Inc if you want to make your home more comfortable, conserve energy and thus save money.

We hired EverGreen Home Energy Consultants to assess our old home before remodeling. Todd was thorough and helped us generate and prioritize a list of energy efficiency improvements. He was patient and answered my questions during the audit and provided a detailed, multi-page, thorough report explaining his findings. After working with Todd I have a much better understanding of how to seal and insulate an old home and some of the trade-offs involved in different approaches.

We purchased a home and at the time also purchased a home inspection this past August. During the summer we noticed a couple of our rooms of the house were having a harder time cooling than the rest. With the weather change we didnt think much about it. When weather turned cold, the same rooms couldnt get warm. It was the master bedroom and bathroom. We had heard Ameren would come do test so we contacted them. The referred us to EverGreen Home Energy Consultants, Inc to run more intense test and a complet inspection. Todd Abercrombie with EverGreen Home Energy Consultants, Inc. came. This was the best think we could have done. Todd ran several test and said some test werent making any sense to him. He stayed with it and found our cold air ducts were not connected. We have a finished basement with finished ceiling. We had no idea what we were up against. Again, Todd stayed right with us. He made another trip here when we told him original HVAC contractor was coming to take a look. Brought up questions to them regarding installation and what could be done for us. HVAC contractor were able to hook it up and our home is comfortable now. We HIGHLY recommend Todd Abercrombie and EverGreen Home Enegy to an home owner.If or when we would move again, we would have Todd Abercrombie and EverGreen Home Energy Consultants before any home inspector check the home. We did try to contact the inspector from the time of purchase via email and he didnt even respond or show any concern, advice or help.Todd was VERY knowledgeable, professional, personable and thorough. We could not recommend him any higher..
