I had a fantastic experience with this company. When my furnace broke down, Jerry arrived shortly after I called. Both my furnace and air conditioning unit needed to be replaced, but I wasnt surprised since they were both very old. I appreciated that there was no attempt to scam me—just incredible service. The installers were wonderful; they worked quietly and independently while remaining very polite. The pricing was fair, with no hidden charges, which made a stressful situation much easier to handle. I will only use Polar for my HVAC needs in the future. They were truly exceptional.

I woke up yesterday to a 60 degree temp in my house. I called a few places but my aunt recommended Polar Heating & AC. The technician was super nice, came during the window I was given and was kind enough to explain the issue which was quick fix. I had no idea that cap was there. Thank you all so much!! My house is warmer than it was even before the issue.

I had a furnace installed on 12/10/24. The two young men that came out to install the furnace did an exceptional job. The sales men who I spoke with originally guy by the name of Jerry was informative and made things extremely helpful in the purchasing process of a new furnace. Polar offered some great incentives and discounts with new customer on buying/purchasing a new furnaces. The reason why I left one star off is because of what went down on 12/11/24. So the furnace was installed perfectly. Then there were problems with my hot water not working the very next’s day. I called Water Management with the City of Chicago they advised me to call Polar Heating once again. So I ended up calling the company soon there after. The receptionist was thorough and quick to respond to my NO HOT WATER needs. The person who came out was supposedly an authorized employee of the company. He was driving an authorized Polar Heating truck and everything. He comes in runs several tests (INSPECTED)around my furnace and water tank. His assessment was there were no issues he can rightfully detected and for me to call PEOPLE GAS. When I called People Gas the Technician who came before the days was out. He came took one look at the water tanks and realized the pilot lights were out and that tanks were completely shut off. I stated to the technicians that the guy ran several tests on the water tanks. THE TECHNICIAN WAS LIKE, “ WHAT TESTS?!” THE TANKS WERE NOT ON AND ANYONE INCLUDING SOMEONE FROM YOUR COMPANY SHOULD HAVE BEEN ABLE TO DETECT THIS RIGHT AWAY. So apparently even though there needed to be a temperature adjustment with the People Gas equipment in our basement. It still doesn’t dimension the fact your company brought a installer/inspector out to my house. That was completely clueless about those water tanks being SHUT OFF not ON PERIOD whatsoever. Even from where I was standing once the technician from People Gas did his thing I could see the tanks being shut off with no fire/fuel lit. A little something I recall as a child due to my mother always buying gas stoves. She was always having to lit the pilot light so the gas stove can run more effectively.COMPLAINTS HAS NOW BEEN FILED MISSY ARE U SATISFIED??!

This is my first time with POLAR HEATING &AC. I needed a technician on short notice to tune up my furnace and turn on my thermostat. Since the passing of my husband and my lack of knowledge taking care of business, I found Polar very understanding. The secretary was delightful. I had actually scheduled my furnace tuneup later in the month, however I realized the weather was going to be cooler and I wanted immediate service and lucky me Polar sent a technician that very day.......Michael. During our end of August Heat Wave of 2024, the Central Air went out and Polar Heating and Air Conditioning had a technician available the very next day.The technician was professional, on-time, courteous, and kept me informed every step of the way. It ended up being a blown duel capacitor replace capacitor, and he was able to fix it on the spot, and at a reasonable price, considering the price of a new unit itself.I was very happy with the results and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for HVAC work, and I would definitely use them again in the future myself, for sure.

The installation of both my furnace and ac unit went great. The guys were great. It was well over 90 degrees and really hot in my house and they still did a great job installing both units. They were courteous and respectful and cleaned up after the job was done. The service I was provided was great and Im looking forward to years of great service on the maintenance of both units. The service was friendly and fast. However it would have been nice if the tech explained why he screwed the top cover on being that is the one that has the filter in it. Our air conditioner went out over the hot weekend. We were referred to Polar Hearing and air by a friend. They were here within 40 minutes of the initial call. Unfortunately our air conditioner needed replacing, but they were here the very next morning to install our new AC and thermostat. The thermostat was slightly different than our last, so fitting it in the spot the last thermostat was a bit of a challenge to cover where there was no paint, but they made it work. They took the time to come up with a solution to install it so we wouldnt have to paint around it. I highly recommend Polar Heating and AC.

UPDATE: They sent another team out the following day and the next crew fixed everything and then some. Much better experience the second time around. They fixed all the gaps, taped everything so it was sealed properly, replaced the vent, and the rest of the floo piping. A little irritated I had to have them come a second time, but glad that they made it right.I made a mistake not taking a closer look at everything before they left. There are a bunch of gaps in the duct work above the furnace that I didnt notice. There are a lot of inconsistencies. I was told by the guy who did the estimate that they could fix the rust spot in my floor vent pipe. They said it wasnt on the paperwork so they couldnt do it. They unhooked my smoke detector and left it hanging and turned off. They did not clean the work area well at all. They clearly just wanted to do the bare minimum and leave. The gaps in the duct work are creating an annoying whistling sound I never had before. Im sure Ill notice more things wrong later. Im extremely disappointed.

I use Polar Heating & Cooling every year for maintenance. Two years ago, I replaced my AC/Furnace unit and the crew was great. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The only thing that I had a slight problem with was the arrival of the technician this year. He came approx. 40 minutes earlier than expected and looked at me like it was not problem. I had a virtual meeting scheduled up until about 10 minutes before my scheduled time, so I hadnt planned on an early arrival. Its okay to be early, but this was a meeting that I could not have anyone else present, and could not move from my computer. If I had been given a call ahead of time that they were coming early, then I could have been more prepared for my meeting. Other than that, great company!

From the first day I called for a quote to needing someone to come out and repair a piece on our new unit Nancy has assisted me when I called. Both times, she makes sure you feel like family! Also, the crew is really nice and informative. I had a quote done on a Friday afternoon, and they were out at 8 am the next day to install it. A little pricey, but worth it.

I contacted Polar Heating & Air because our home in Chicago was very humid all the time. We were fortunate to have Gary come out to to take a look. It ended up that the condenser just needed to be cleaned. Gary sprayed it down with a hose and right away things improved. At the same time, my mother in Buffalo Grove needed a new furnace ASAP and I asked Gary if he could help her. He knew exactly which unit was required and his price was $1,500 less than the other company we called. Also, Gary was able to do the job the very next day. The other company was going to have my mother wait around 8 days in the hottest part of summer. The installers did a great job and my mom is cool in her home. I recommend Polar if you need help with your heating and air.

Called for service and they responded immediately. Came out to our home within two hours and provided a quote for the replacement of the furnace and thermostat. The quote was professionally discussed and we accepted the offer. The replacement unit with all labor was provided within 24 hours and completed the job within 6 hours. All old equipment was taken away and the worksite cleaned up. They provided us a description of the new operation of the thermostat and filter replacement. We are very satisfied with Polar Heating, very professional people.

The installation of the new boiler was not very good with a number of leaks, and have found out the lead guy to supervise the other two men was fired because of poor workmanship. Each time I called Polar they sent out Jose to address the problem, he is very meticulous about his work and courteous. Nice to deal with a company that has outstanding customer service and quick responsive action. Highly recommend Polar for your heating and air conditioning needs. Jose is the best! Jerry the salesman is also extremely helpful.

I needed someone to come and check my boiler, which was not heating 3 rooms in the wake of the recent Polar Vortex. Another company that I had scheduled to come that day cancelled because they felt there were more pressing situations to attend to. I called another company that I had used in the past and they pretty much doubled their service call charge to come out. I found Polar by doing a search and they came out later that day. They didn’t jack up their service call charge like the other place. The tech, Bill, was knowledgeable about my equipment and helpful in assessing the issue. I would use them again in the future.

Jerry came out in a few hours after calling Blake at their office at around 11:30 AM. Jerry checked it out 123 and replaced a capacitor and check and for leaks. He was out in 30 minutes. For the call and part it was $308.00 Great Job!!!! Their repair warranty is only 90 days. A bit short, I felt. Read the fine print on company policies. Otherwise Jerry the service representative seems to be a Great Guy. I would call them again for service.

Our a/c was not cooling properly right before the July holiday week. Hot,humid,not fun! Had them give us a quote, found out we had a water heater leak, our a/c was shot ( and too old to fix without major expense), and a new a/c unit would not work with our old furnace. We hit the trifecta. Well, we financed our repairs and had them come out and fix it all. All we can say is Great job!! We are very happy with everything. 4 guys here all day in 95 degree heat. Our attic, which is where the furnace is, was over 120 degrees. We gave them as much bottled water as they wanted, plus anything else they might need. The guys cleaned up my yard, and house, vacuumed as needed. Had them come back 1 week later to adjust a/c. Again wonderful service.

This is the 2nd time Polar has helped me. being a return customer, that says a lot.the 1st time, the furnace wasnt working during the freezing January winter, and thank God i found them. they came the same day and was able to change the whole unit the day after. Talk about quick! 2 winters has passed and i havent called them yet to fix it.the 2nd time, i was even more impressed because they again offered the same day but i pushed it to the next day. AC wasnt working this time during the hot summer time. they clearly explained that the unit needs to be changed. the same time, the AC at our other rental property wasnt working, and they checked it the same day. we know that the HVAC of this property is old, so i ask that the furnace be checked as well. the bad news: all units need to be replaced! 2 AC and 1 furnace (the units were very old). the dreadful moment, the price for all 3.but then it became good news: Polar gave me a lot of discounts, and the bundled replacements became a blessing. it was more affordable than i thought it would be.pros: Polar is quick, efficient, and affordable. communicated clearly what needs to be done. price is very reasonable, if not cheap.cons: noneGod bless to Polar!

Tech. Gerry had to replace an Inducer Draft Motor. Because the efficiency of furnace was greatly improved the volume of air exiting the furnace was increased, creating a noticeable hum from the furnace which was not immediately detectable until a week later. After reporting to Polar my concern, tech Dan came over and determined the hum was an exhaust flue vibrating and hence touching the furnace. Dan remedied the problem in 30 seconds.
