Recently, we encountered a significant electrical problem, triggered by a power companys mishap. A neutral wire had detached on the pole end, leading to a surge of 220v through our 120v outlets. This malfunction inflicted extensive damage to our household electronics and appliances, even causing some to smoke, which resulted in a call to the Fire Department. The Fire Department, after calling the power company to correct their mistake, instructed them to shut off power to our home due to the severity of the damage to our electronics, appliances, and circuits. In the early hours, with no power, we were directed to seek help from an emergency electrician. A quick internet search led us to a local electrician service, and we immediately placed a call. Clarence picked up the phone, listened to our situation, and assured us they would be over shortly. This was impressive, considering its usually challenging to get an electrician to arrive on time even with a weeks notice. Against all odds, their team arrived promptly, ready to work while most people would be fast asleep. They efficiently restored our power.
