Weve been wanting the Versalift for a long time, finally pulled the trigger this year and we are so happy we did. Instructions were extremely clear. Simple installation. Was able to install myself by utilizing a table to support the unit while assembling (see pics). Bringing down the Christmas decorations and tree was a breeze this year. The only reservation we have is that we waiting so long!

Christmas preparation has never been easier with our Versalift install this year! Countless boxes and bins, and a couple Christmas trees from attic to garage floor in less than 20 minutes. No more carrying up and down on rickety ladders. We have a wired control in the attic and remote control in garage. Highly recommend having a controls in both places. Our neighbors are very envious!

What a back saver!! We dont have storage over our garage, its in one of the bedrooms. A little snug fitting in the lift but it works GREAT. Made storing all of the holiday decorations a breeze. No more fighting them up and down the folding stairs. Install was very straightforward. Absolutely no issues.

We installed a Versalift Model 24 in our 2000 sq ft garage where we keep our RV, have our work area and the ceilings are 17’ to the 2nd floor storage area. Electric installation was simple as my son and I tapped into an existing light outlet on the 2nd floor as suggested in the instructions and installed a new outlet near the intended opening for the Versalift. The instructions were pretty clear and we were able to identify that we had trusses, identify the proper location, verify the measurements and pretty much follow the directions. My son cut the hole, cut and placed the blocking and completed the installation.I assembled the upper level portion of the Versalift and we mounted it over the opening. We then assembled the lower level portion, attached the cables and completed the simple wireless remote assembly (a couple of screws and a couple of batteries). This lift is great. We have already lifted to the 2nd floor ,trailer tires, lawn mower, portable kerosene heater, portable paint sprayer, weed wackers(vertical- tricky to do), compound sliding miter saw, and a bunch of other things. We are learning about the proper ways of weight distribution and proper loading of the Versalift. We noticed you have a lot of videos and instructions on your website about that. Thank you very much for a great product!

Really like the convenience of having a lift between garage and attic. I had it installed by a handyman who knew what he was doing. He could have done the electrical work also but I already had my electrician scheduled to some unrelated work.I had a WiFi switch installed to energize the wiring to attic lights and the Versalift. That is to eliminate any possible accidental movement of the platform. Yes, I wear a belt and suspenders :)I havent had to use the lift too many times yet but its a great convenience and increases our safety too. I also installed the attic stairway handrail. Thats well worth the cost too.

We ordered our Versalift after having seen my brothers in use in Texas. He was pleased so we had one installed in our new home and boy, are we happy.Our garage is at one end of the house the front stairs to the second level is at the opposite end.We had 3 off site storage units before we installed our Versalift. Now, everything fits nicely in the attic, thanks to our lift!We love it!

I typically do not leave reviews but I am so pleased with Versa lift and Cynergy Im willing to make an exception.First Cynergy they have been fantastic with shipping and communication, just superb! secondly the Versa lift is such a lifesaver and gave us our Garage back. we recently moved so everything marked Basement was put in the garage, so needless to say we needed a solution. I purged quite a bit but as you can see in the pics organizing and storage was a snap once the lift was installed.I installed myself with the help of my son in law, so the only thing I will mention is if you decide to self install follow the instructions to the letter and dont shortcut, you wont be disappointed. All in it took about 10 hours total with electric, cutting and bracing joists.As a side note our attic ladder is over 10ft so we invested in the safety rails, well worth it and very easy to install.

I installed the Versa Lift model 32 and everything went perfect. The instructions were clear and concise and the fit/function quality was great. I had to install mine 90degrees to the joists but with a few extra steps of installing headers it all went well. I could have done it all by myself, but decided to get some help boosting the motor head into the attic. Great product and would recommend to anyone needing this function.

We purchased our Versalift last year and have been very pleased with its performance. When we bought they were offering an 5 year extended warranty, an attic opening rail system, and free shipping with our order. The attic opening rail system valued at over $300 was fantastic! Much easier to climb our ladder & protects you from accidentally stepping into the ladder opening. I installed the lift myself and it was relatively easy with basic carpentry skills. We use the lift to store all our Christmas decorations & tree, power tool, pressure washer, coolers & beach gear. We’ve had it for nearly a year without a single operational issue. We have 10” ceiling trusses & the spring system in the platform allows the platform to sit on the garage floor & when the platform is raised, the metal plate on the bottom of the platform seals at the ceiling while the platform continues up with an automatic shutoff when it is level with the attic floor. Great Product!

We were first introduced to the Versalift system by former neighbors who were building a new home and planned to put a lift system in their garage. After seeing it in operation, our decision was made.My wife and I have struggled for years with getting things up and down from our attic storage over our garage. As we got older, that chore became more and more difficult.We purchased the Versalift Model 24. It was shipped in three boxes and they all arrived in good shape.I enlisted the help of my brother-in-law and we installed the lift over a three day period. They were not long days. The written instructions, pictures and videos provided by Versalift were complete and easy to follow.We had the new lift installed in time to put the Christmas decorations away this year, and my wife was thrilled.We highly recommend this product - it is well worth the investment.

We were looking for an attic storage solution that would not require lifting boxes and totes up 11 feet of (fold down) stairs and through a 22 inch opening. We found Versalift and are very happy we did. I still have some trim work to do but the video shows how nice and smooth this system operates. I installed it myself in one and one half days but that also included the attic stair opening safety rail system I also purchased from Versalift. Between these two items we can now safely and happily take things to and from our garage attic. Very happy with our purchases!

I have had the Versalift now for almost a year. I think it was a great purchase and I use it all the time. I would definitely recommend it. It allows me to take advantage of the storage space above my garage quickly and safely. I am able to store many more items items above the garage than I would if I had to haul them up and down a ladder.The installation directions were complete and concise for a DIY installation to follow. With the help of my brother in-law we had it installed and running in just a couple of hours.I have been glad I have this lift every time I bring different items up and down as the seasons change.

Our Versa Lift is great. We can get things in and out of storage in the attic easily and SAFELY! The package arrived on schedule and complete. We purchased the Versalift system online from the website. It arrived on schedule. We had a local handyman install the system. We downloaded the specs and installation instructions before we ordered it and decided on tbe larger lift since it would fit neatly between the garage attic floor studs. It took two men about 4 hrs to put the parts together and install the system. Our garage attic is our only storage and its difficult and dangerous to carry storage boxes up and down the folding stairs. The Versalift is a great device that makes storage easier.

Before I would try to climb a fold-down attic ladder (350 lb capacity, I weigh 230) and try to get stuff into my garage storage Not the safest method - trying to balance the stuff and climb the 11’ ladder using one hand. The Versalift is by far the way to go. Wish I would have found it years ago!! The installation was a breeze and well described in the supplied instructions.

Incredible lift. Saves me dozens of high risk trips up and down my ladder. Took two of us a full day to install but we took our time to do things right. We bought the smaller unit due to space limitations but my friend saw mine and bought the larger unit. Both work flawlessly. The company provided on-line installation guides and a video which I sent to my installer. He has since installed two more and I am sure more to come. I recently purchased and installed a VersaLift 24 and could not be more pleased. The office staff could not be more helpful in taking my order and advising me on which unit would be best for me. The unit arrived in great condition within the estimated time frame. My son and I installed the unit in less than a day. The instructions could not have been more clear, adding the the successful completion of the project. I also installed the Fold Down stair rail. If you don’t have this, you need to get it. With 10 foot ceilings in my garage, the safety factor is important to me. Again, 5 Stars all around.

I received elevator kit and assembled it myself. The instructions were outstanding. Clear, concise, comprehensive. I did need assistance in lifting the elevator components into the attic. The motor assembly is heavy. I cut the hole in the garage attic floor and built the required support framing myself. Not too difficult. I’m sure this lift will make a big difference in lowering the risk of taking up and bringing down all the items we have stored in the garage attic as I get older.

I purchased this product 4 years ago and it is outstanding. This product keeps me from having to climb a flight of stairs every time I need to get something out of the attic. The lift came with all of the parts and pieces required. The installation instructions were clear and easy to follow. A little basic carpentry knowledge is helpful when cutting the initial hole in the floor but it is very easy and can be installed by one person. The support is outstanding and when I needed to replace the remote controller they were extremely helpful, sent me the replacement parts and again included clear easy installation instructions. I have two separate garages with separate attic spaces and we will soon be purchasing a second unit.

My wife and I were looking to shed ourselves of 35 years of stuff. We emptied the attic to sort through all of the stuff wed collected. Access through the attic stairs in the garage is difficult and is high due to the 10 ft ceiling. My wife discovered the Versalift on line so we gave it a try.We are fairly handy so installation was fairly easy for us. I worked on the ceiling and opening while my wife assembled the lift and carrier. Within a collective 4-5 hours, we had the lift installed. It worked perfectly and didnt need any adjustments or further assistance from the manufacturer.Were 60+ years old. I wish I would have purchased this sooner. Its now so easy to access our stored items, and now our garage is cleaner. We just built a new home with a large walk-in attic space over the garage. We put in the Versalift system and is one of the best decisions we made building the house. Ive installed 2 Versalift Attic Lift Systems in my houses and I always brag about the Versalift to my visitors, especially men! I couldnt find an active Versalift installer in Virginia, so I worked with the OKC folks and used the local Apple Door garage door contractor in Waynesboro to install the system. They did a great job, especially with the close tolerances in my garage attic; the system works perfectly and I now can grow old and still use my attic storage without having to carry something on my back up and down the attic access stairs. Like a lot of other customers of Versalift I realized after climbing 11ft attic stairs to put up Christmas decorations that something had to change.I researched the internet and after finding and reviewing the reviews on Versalift decided that was the way to go.I got quotes from two different local companies about installing the system but their prices were outrageous. I downloaded the instructions from the company and studied them. I also called Steve at the company I bet 6 times with questions. The man has the patience of Job. He always answered my questions patiently and with intricate knowledge of the product. Since the layout of my attic joists did not require any cutting just adding blocking I decided to take on the job myself.The next step was getting into the attic and finding the correct spot. This turned out to be the most difficult point as I had to work around garage door rails and lights but found a spot and framed out the area needed.It should be noted that the directions are excellent and walk you through the process step by step with great illustrations.I obtained the Versalift shortly after ordering. I could tell immediately the product was well built and designed just from the packaging. Well done is an understatement. I did get help getting the motor unit into the attic as it is heavy.I put the motor head unit together which was kinda of fun as well as the platform unit downstairs. Superbly engineered.At this point is was time to cross the Rubicon. I took a deep breath and cut the sheetrock out of the attic ceiling.Got it all connected and connected the controls. I elected to go with the dual controls so I have button upstairs and downstairs. I didnt want a remote to lose or a cord hanging through the attic door and in addition I can lock the unit with this system to keep grand kids from playing with it. Fortunately, there are options so you can choose what works best for you.It works great and my wife loves it.I know it is a little pricey but if you avoid one trip to the ER it will pay for itself.Im not associated with the company just a satisfied customer.Its refreshing to find such a great product with dedicated and knowledgeable staff in this day and time.If I can install it so can you.Go for it.

We installed a versa lift in the garage in the new house we built. It easily lifts large, heavy boxes to the attic above. It was invaluable during the move in process as there was a lot of stuff to go up to the attic. We even figured out how to lift oversize items (long boards, mattresses, etc) which made moving things upstairs a breeze. It is well worth the investment and works flawlessly. I did the installation myself and the directions were excellent.

This product is incredible and absolutely worth it if you want to clear your house, garage or basement of stuff. We installed it in our garage so we dont make 30 trips up and down folding stairs. Instead we can do it in 4 Versa Lift loads. Take 1/3 of time and effort and thats important for my wife and I approaching 60 years old. We dont need to be taking 20-30lb boxes up folding stairs...! The Versa Lift was the perfect solution.

There is not anything negative I could ever say about Versa Lift in my first ever experience with them! I am a custom home builder in the greater San Antonio, Texas area and the Texas Hill Country. When my clients first told me they wanted a product like this, Versa Lift came up in the top of my search and further research.As I began to figure out what I would need in our custom home build in framing and so forth I called Versa Lift way early. They were pleasant to talk with and extremely helpful over the phone to answer questions as well as send me the install documents I needed ahead of time. As we looked at requirements that our engineers wanted to incorporate into our design and framing processes it became clear this was going to be an excellent product. I hadnt even actually ordered the product or committed to them at this point, yet they answered every question and provided instructions and diagrams.Once we finally ordered the product I called to clarify some items and they were helpful yet again in explaining everything, options, shipping, and so forth. The package arrived on time as expected and was packaged very well given its critical many of the components do not get bent.I had one of my trim carpenters put the unit together and install it and he said the directions were pretty easy and clear. Sometimes you dont get this from products, but Versa Lift directions were great.We chose to go with the wireless lift remote and while you pay a little more for it I highly recommend that route in a custom home. My clients were so excited because we actually provided that to them as a free upgrade and they certainly didnt expect it.Research all you want but Versa Lift makes a quality lift system for residential homes and everyday use in garage storage or other storage. For us, when this is what clients want. We wont waste any time from here on out looking for other product. We bought the larger lift in September of last year and paid the extra $500 to have it installed by a person they recommended. We chose the wireless controller for use with our lift. This lift has been used multiple times almost every day since then as we move inventory for our little collectibles business back and forth from our office and workroom upstairs to our shipping area downstairs. The lift itself has worked flawlessly, but because the installer did not have the proper tools or materials when he cut the opening in the ceiling he left it a little rough.The base of the lift has occasionally scraped on the drywall causing bits of it to break off. It hasnt hurt the lifts operation and when the lift is up and completely closed it cant be seen but it does look a little shabby when the lift is down. Its one of those things where I dont think it would have taken much more time to make the opening nice and clean but I think he didnt have what he needed to do so.

Im 64 and in (very) good shape, but as the saying goes, not getting any younger. I was motivated to find a lift (my first analogy was dumb-waiter) because each Christmas I have to bring down at least 50 various sized boxes from the floored storage area above our 3-car garage. In addition to Christmas items, theres numerous others of all different weights and dimensions kept up there and brought down/returned throughout the year. Carrying loaded boxes/paraphernalia up and down a rickety garage ladder that extends almost 11 feet is definitely not safe and an accident waiting to happen. Happen it did. Though I was already exploring options in early October, my wife went up into the storage area to retrieve a few additional Halloween items (Im the one who goes up there 24 of 25 times) and she fell on the way down (due to ladder) and broke her hip. Extra motivation to find a safe solution.I found Versa-Lift online. After some research, it became clear that this was an ideal solution (in addition to replacing the ladder with a much safer version). I hired a local, dependable contractor to do the installation as this is a task you dont want to take on yourself unless you are a professional and have 2 buddies to help. The lift is great and I couldnt be happier. I can now load numerous items and raise them the 10+ feet into the storage area where I can then ascend a (new) ladder with both hands and safely put them away. I have the version with a remote control and it operates smoothly and effectively. My only regret is that I didnt do this years ago.

In the middle of building our new home and I knew one of the things I was going to put in it was a lift . After looking at my options I called and talked to the people at OKC Versalift, they were great with everything. I have yet to get to use the lift itself but am looking forward to it. The Versalift does what exactly what it says it will do. We just installed the Versalift system and no longer have to struggle with climbing a 10 ladder with boxes, bags or miscellaneous items. Just load on the platform and push a button to lift or lower those items. It does save your back and is SO much safer than the old circus act of climbing a ladder while holding on to odd items without dropping anything or more importantly falling. Wish we had installed the Versalift a long time ago.

Extremely pleased with the Versalift cargo elevator system. We ordered the largest model with 250 lb limit. We were able to stack boxes on the lift with no problem. The trick to loading is to keep your load reasonably balanced side to side and front to back. The carriage is suspended by flexible cables so unbalanced loads will sway to the lighter side which causes a fit problem when the lift passs through the floor opening. After a few months of use and maybe 50 boxes we have had no problems. Installation is technically simple. The time consuming part is building the boxed opening in the ceiling for the elevator floor to pass through. Trim on the sheet rock opening isn’t necessary since the separate subfloor of the Versalift overlaps the ceiling opening to create a flush seal. Its well engineered and appears to be built stronger than needed for the weight limits. We are recommending to our friends.

VersaLift Model 32just nowWe have a large storage area upstairs where we store many boxes and some heavier items. After a few knee surgeries, it became apparent we needed to find a solution for moving the storage items up and down the steps. We did some research and decided the Versalift was the answer. Due to some of the large, heavier items we opted for the larger 32 model. What a great decision. My wife loves how she can bring her seasonal decorations down from storage without having to wait for me to do it for her. I was surprised how good the bottom of the lift looks from the garage, no need for trim around the opening as the lift pins the white bottom plate to the ceiling. This product is a fantastic idea that has been well executed. It is well designed, well made, and works well. No gimmicks or BS. Straight forward good American product. It works as advertised and is heavy duty. Ive had mine for about a month and stored a ton of Christmas stuff in our attic. This is much easier and safer than climbing up and down pull-down-attic stairs with boxes of wreathes or Christmas lights! Some people said they installed it themselves without difficulty. I would say that depends on you situation. I am pretty handy but also busy and opted for a guy that Versalift recommended. That worked very well in my case. For a few 100 $$ it is worth it. This is a really sensible concept--to easily use space in the attic rather than having things stacked around your garage or hauled into you attic by hand. Easily worth the investment.

We purchased the basic model 24 for lifting sewing machines and other heavy items from the main floor of an old barn to the quilting studio above. The Versalift people were great early on during the planning stage and we were able to frame in the floor opening while we renovated the barn. 18 months later we ordered and installed the unit. Tolerances were tight for us so it was important to have precise reliable specs. We hadn’t quite planned on the overhang of the bottom cover that seals the ceiling as the unit ascends but it worked out.Because we were lifting into a finished space, we ordered the upper door that closes the floor from above as the unit descends. We also ordered the side walls for the lift to keep small items from rolling off during operation. We also ordered the extra insulating board since the finished space is above I heated space in the barn. We also ordered two remotes so that we could keep one above and below. It was great to have these well thought out options to customize our application and each one worked exactly as described on the web site.Installation was a breeze. Everything conformed to the simple, well illustrated instructions. We had one clarification question and the Versalift people answered it right away by phone without having to,wade through menus and automated attendants.We would recommend Versalift to anyone considering it as an option from a utility lift. We couldn’t be happier with the outcome and we’d do it again if we needed to.

The lift has been a great asset to us. I installed the lift myself and found it to be easy and once assembled working exceptually well. Climbing up and down the pull down trying to carry objects to the attic was extremely dangerous. There have been many accidents trying to carry objects just using the pull-down ladder. Versalift eliminated that.I have used my Versalift nearly every week since installing it. I find it easy, safe and accommodating. We store a lot of items now in the attic that we would not if we did not have it. My wife hosts a lot of games at our house and we store all of our folding tables and chairs in the attic not to mention a lot of other items that we use on a monthly basis. So, whenever we need anything we just put it on the versalift and lower it and use the item: when finished we put it back on and lift it upstairs.We also store a lot of other items up there. We just built a new house for retirement. We are downsizing with a smaller garage etc. Thinking ahead (I thought!) I specified attic trusses over my garage and a wider, heavy duty, drop down ladder to benefit from a nice 400 foot storage attic. As construction was wrapping up, I popped up the ladder to check out the space. OMG! I immediately realized I am no longer 29 years old and there was no way I was going to be able to really use that great space. It would be impossible to safely move storage items up and down that ladder!Unless I was going to leave my attic generally unused, and live with a garage stuffed with storage, I knew I had to find some solution to safely lift. This kept me awake for several nights while I schemed DIY lift designs etc. I scanned the internet for solutions and eventually found a few including Versalift. They all looked pretty expensive so it took me a while to accept that if I wanted to do it right I needed to leap.So which to choose? Sadly, I had just finished designing and building the home with no provision for this lift. I hadn’t even moved in and I needed to approach the installation as a retrofit. I needed to work within the parameters of 24” joists and at appropriate locations in the attic. The Versalift had the widest lift platform for that spacing. I also saw that the lift speed was better than others and the design looked pretty clean. I liked the idea of the wireless remote, allowing me to work from the garage or attic.I did the installation myself which I would rate as five or six on the difficulty scale. I am a competent albeit slow handyman. It isn’t so hard as it takes a while. I don’t really love cutting into floors and ceilings! In this case I knew I had a conflict with power running through my chosen location and needed an electrician to reroute. Hardest aspects of installation are: 1) Getting the heavy lift unit into the attic. (You need a Versalift to install a Versalift!) 2) Insuring accurate and square dimensions of the opening (This is absolutely critical to a quality installation!).Once in, the unit worked perfectly from the first lift and I have successfully loaded my attic and cleared my garage!I know a little about good product design and can confidently say that the Versalift is a well designed and manufactured product:• The lifting frame loads the floor, and does not rely on overhead attachment for an easier and cleaner install.• The lifting mechanism is largely and safely protected.• The idea of lifting with two cables instead of four is clever and assures stability.• The self-aligning lift platform assures smooth entry through the attic floor.• The spring-loaded ceiling plate is clever and allows for the platform to sit flat on the garage floor and the attic floor, while looking good and automatically adapting to ceiling thickness.• The remote works instantly with no wireless hassle.• Speed of the lift is surprisingly good, you have no need for more.Despite my initial concerns, I have not found that the lift platform dimensions or weight capacity to be a real limitation. Especially when you are working with 24” joists to begin with. You soon find creative ways to lift larger or odd shaped items. I suppose if I was designing into my construction project from the start and cost was not an issue, the larger unit would be interesting, but, in my opinion, not necessary. Do give consideration to what you might be lifting when you order. Some popular large storage bins, might not fit.Although not detailed in the instructions, I would recommend to trim the penetration on the ceiling side. Otherwise there is an exposed edge of drywall that looks bad and gets beat up.All in all, I have been really positively impressed with this product. It has made my life much better. I’m excited to show anyone who visits my house and they are sooo impressed! I can’t imagine trying to really utilize any attic storage space without it.
