I first met Mike in October 2020 when I needed a gas leak repaired on my BBQ line. He resolved the issue quickly and at a reasonable price. The best part of dealing with Mike is his honesty and the different options he offers. Due to his great job, I had him replace the BBQ gas line outside from a black pipe to galvanized, and he also replaced the outside hose bib (winterized).When I purchased a new home in 2023, I knew I could trust Mike for the necessary repairs. He replaced the 20-year-old water heater, offering several solutions for my growing family and explaining the pros and cons of each. We decided to upgrade from a 50-gallon to a 75-gallon water heater. Mike completed the job from start to finish in a timely and efficient manner.Mike also handled several boiler repairs, including replacing the expansion tank, pressure relief valve, pressure-reducing valve, and backflow preventer. Due to calcification on the pipe, he replaced a 12-inch section of 1/2-inch copper on the feeder.In the kitchen, Mike replaced the double sink. In the basement, he replaced calcified 1/2-inch pipes and valves, replaced the dryer vent, and replaced the slop sink faucet.Additionally, Mike replaced the BBQ gas line, which the former owner reported leaked, and added shut-off valves inside and outside. He also replaced my main water line from the meter.Mike’s professionalism, honesty, and quality of work make him my go-to plumber. We had a toilet that would not flush and would sometimes backup into the adjacent shower. Mike came out and snaked the house sewer out to the trap. Still no good. Then Mike snaked out to the street. Still no good. Mike checked the street sewer, and the street sewer was full. Mike helped us contact the county water department and said he would come back after the street sewer was cleaned. Mike went above and beyond coming back to the house later in the day to make sure everything was good. Best experience I have had with a contractor.

Had a major leak in my dining room from my heating baseboard on a Sunday and to make it worse it was the Super Bowl. Thank God for google I found Mike and he came to the rescue. I couldn’t shut off the water to stop the leak and he arrived at my house within 30 minutes. Replaced a copper pipe and did a welding job. Work was great and didn’t leave a mess behind. Two (2) hours after he left I found another leak in the basement that was related to the job and called him back that night and agreed to come back the next morning to fix it with no extra charge. Came like promised and replaced the valve that was leaking. Price was a little much but I expected that on Super Bowl Sunday. Highly recommended!!

I wanted to leave this review to let other people know how great Mike is as a plumber.I had a problem at my house and wanted to fix it myself, but needed a little help over the phone by a plumber. I called multiple plumbers and No one cared to help me over the phone. I was just told that they can come for a service call but not till the next day. I tried one more call and got Mike at 24 hour plumbing. I explained to him what was going on and he took time to walk me through it step by step. After trying and not having the correct tools, I asked if he would be able to come over and fix my problem. Without hesitation he said to me, I will be finished with my current job In a hour and go right to you, mind you it was 930 pm. He arrived, was very pleasant, and professional and fixed my problem. Great plumbers... Mike was at my door within one hour of the initial phone call. We purchased our home almost one year ago and always seemed to have an issue with our plumbing. Mike literally walked through all 4 floors and did his investigation of what could be the cause of some of my issues on top of fixing my reason for calling him. Our issue was in our sewer pipe, it was completely blocked, the guy did his thing and now were blockage free from the house to the street sewer. Great prices, great guy and honest, in my opinion. Well, if your boiler decides to quit at 8:00 pm on a 23-degree night, 24-Hour Plumbing is the company to call! I was super-glad that my nervous call was answered by a professional and not a machine or a call center, and I was grateful to find out that someone would be to my home in a little over an hour. At the promised time, John arrived to diagnose our problem. Firstly, what a friendly plumber! I am always leery of new service professionals -- especially those who work after hours and typically charge exorbitant fees. I certainly didnt feel this way with John. He was kind, knowledgeable and honest. Most importantly, he was able to quickly and efficiently fix our problem without draining our bank account! Fees are definitely fair and competitive, and work was completed well. Ive already saved 24s number in my phone and I wouldnt hesitate to call on them again. Great, A+ service! I couldnt be more pleased.Update! This boiler will be the death of us, for sure. Once again we needed to call 24-Hour @ 2:30 am on Tuesday because water was pouring from its side. Michael was on site in about 20 minutes to patch the problem until a reasonable hour of the morning. He returned at the promised hour once the sun was up and completed the fix quickly and at a fair price. Michael is unbelievably friendly and is willing to go the extra mile to explain plumbing issues with clients who are willing to learn. I trust his team implicitly and urge prospective patrons to be leery of any poor reviews regarding this companys work. If you see a negative review against 24-Hour, it is most certainly because the client was difficult, too expectant, or just plain unreasonable. No one does a better plumbing job than these guys. The most pleasant, and unexpected, surprise (based on years of hiring various plumbers from all over NYC and LI), was that the bathroom, which had white tiles, was as clean after he finished his work, as it was before Mike began his work. He claimed to be known as the cleanest plumber in NYC, and I have to say, I dont doubt it for a second. Going forward, I plan on calling Mike for any job that arises, large or small.

Called Michael at 24-hour plumbing on Thursday late afternoon and he said he would be over within an hour. True to his word he was in my house within the hour ,assessed my problem, which was a leak behind my kitchen cabinets coming from the heat pipe. I asked him if the cabinets had to come down and he said more than likely not ,there are many ways to get to the problem. I asked how much and he told me a price which was way less than I anticipated. He told me it would be a 2 -3 hour job and asked if i wanted it done now, but i had someone else to be that night. We set an appointment for 10 AM Saturday morning and he was here on time, fixed my problem, fixed a few other plumbing items around the house and when i asked how much i owed him, it was Less than he originally quoted. He arrived so expediently , I had been upstate and was frantically driving down bec the water was really leaking according to my daughter. By the time I got to the house, John had already been there and the leak was stopped. Gave me some good advice as to how to treat the furnace and hot water heaters in advance of a leak or other disaster due to age. Mike and Warren came to my rescue once again. When my sewer main backed up they knew exactly what needed to be done. They used a hydrojet to flush out the entire line. After they visually inspected with a long video scope and showed me the line was completely clear to the street. They are very professional and knowledgeable. They thoroughly explained the problem and answered all my questions. Will call these guys for all future needs and recommend them to anyone!
