    JP Electrical did an awesome job! I needed a main box upgrade and a sub panel added to my garage. The whole process was painless for me. They coordinated with the power company and had everything taken care of the day they showed up for work. They were on time, communicated what was being done or needed to be done, and most importantly of all, treated my house as if it were their own. Zack and Mike did the work and I would/will recommend them to anyone who needs an electrician.

    Jon & Stephen with JP Electrical were so pleasant and professional to work with. My basement finishing project WAS a combination of 100 years of random electrical chaos and they transformed it into an organized and updated, safe electrical system and helped me achieve the modern industrial design look I was hoping for. Their behind the scenes staff is also very organized with scheduling and billing. I will be using them again when I’m ready to tackle the rest of the house’s electrical updates.

    I had several small projects that needed to be done. JP electrical came out and gave me a bid and put me on the schedule for the following week to get it done. One of the projects was fixing a room switch that had been wired to turn on the outlets instead of the main overhead light. I had previously been told by several other contractors that it couldnt be fixed without major re-wiring. JP electrical (Ian) came up with a great simple solution that didnt require any re-wiring and would not cost a fortune. Sean and Zach came out and did all the projects. They texted me on their way to let me know what time they would arrive. Did all the projects in a timely manner, and even offered to change out some outlets (which was not part of the bid) when they noticed the new ones I had purchased. Professional, friendly and all for a really reasonable price. I would highly recommend them and will also use them in the future for any electrical problems I encounter. A strong 5 stars for them!

    This is the second time I have hired JP Electrical. Great work, very respectful and dependable. Last time they helped us sort out what some mystery switches did in our new place. This time they installed new outside can lights and set up a new timer switch for the exterior lights (previously on light sensor with no switches).     I am a new customer to JP Electrical, but Ill definitely be a repeat customer. Mike and Tanner came out to upgrade our meter and panel. They were great to work with and we enjoyed having them at our home. Most places seem to want to upsell on different services but Mike let me know that some of the work we had bid out was not actually necessary and we ended up paying less than expected. They went above and beyond in every aspect of the job and we couldnt be more pleased with the end result. Exceptional service from these guys and theyre also very cool people, Im a big fan.

That experience was repeated with todays service call to check out a burned wire in my breaker box and install an additional breaker and a power monitor kit.     I found Rod Ryan through a friend because Rod knew what he was doing. His name gets passed around because of how good he is. Rod and Mykle both came to my place and got my EV charger installed. I appreciate their work, Rod and Mykle make you feel like youre at a family reunion just catching up on life. Very easy guys to get on with. Price isnt more important than quality, but JP was the best price I had got by far.

    I used JP Electrical in March to install a fan/light and recently had some issues with it wobbling when the fan was at medium and high speeds. I decided to call them and ask what, if anything, they could do to help me. They immediately offered to come out again at no cost and look at the problem. Dennis and colleague were able to eliminate the wobble on the medium speed, reduce it substantially at high speed. Good communication throughout, worth going with a reputable company when they respond to customers like they did with me.Thank you, JP Electrical.

    I had a super positive experience with JP Electrical. Rod Ryan (The estimator) came out exactly when they said he would, and really went the extra mile to give me all the different options. Two of which were vastly better and more economical than a competitor. When Brad and Colton came out to do the work they were on-site at 8am and confirmed the method they would use to run the cable for me. The installation was super professional and clean. The total price exactly matched the quote as well. I would use JP Electrical again in the future.

    We are big fans! When I called in to get a quote/appointment, their office was very quick to answer questions and get me on the schedule. Jon Wayment and his apprentice have come out a couple of times now to help whenever a complex problem has happened with the function of our observatory. The issues required problem solving skills that some electricians lack or just arent willing to try. Jon and his apprentice cheerfully figured out a solution for us that got our observatory back up and running! We are so thankful for their help!

    We had two 220 VAC outlets installed in the garage to charge our electric car. The electricians arrived when they said they would and quickly set to work. They had the install completed quicker than the original estimate and cleaned up before they left. They were very friendly and quick to answer my questions about the installation. The materials were all high quality and their work looked very professional. We were very happy with the way the installation went and would call them again for any electrical work. PS: We had to have our main electrical lines to our house replaced several years ago by J P Electrical and were happy with that installation, which is the reason we had them do this one as well.

    These are the best electricians around! They are everything you expect in good service. VERY impressed with this company. They arrived on time and were nice and friendly. They took down 3 hanging pendant lights and replaced them with can lighting. They removed a large heavy chandelier and hung up a new one over a staircase and then put up a large light in the garage. Everything looks exactly like I wanted it to and they made sure everything was cleaned up beforethey left. The cost was reasonable for all that work. You will not be disappointed in this company. I am happy to have found a reliable company to recommend to my friends.

I will definitely use JP Electrical again for any projects that arise.

    We own a 1939 house in SLC which still had old wiring from the 40s and 50s in the upper level, plus an outdated panel that hummed ominously when we ran the dishwasher. We contacted JP Electrical to update our wiring and replace the panel.JP Electrical was great from start to finish. They provided a quote promptly, and the price was less than we budgeted for the whole project. They were professional, on time, and communicated clearly throughout the whole process. Mike and his team were courteous and helpful, double checking to make sure everything worked properly. We also had them replace a few light fixtures and install a vent in our unventilated upstairs bathroom. The invoice matched the price we were quoted--no surprises there.Overall, just a fantastic job. Would absolutely recommend JP Electrical, and will go back if we ever need any additional electrical work done.UPDATE: A year later we contacted JP Electrical again to set up wiring for an electric induction oven.     Of the three companies I called JP had the quickest availability. Another of the things that attracted me to JP Electrical was their approach to billing. The other two companies I called said they would charge me for the service call and only then would provide me an estimate based on “type of work” not actual time spent. I’ve been burned before by high estimates after I already owe a service charge—it’s hard to say no and start over. With JP’s billing approach you pay for what they do. There is no service charge. They come and get to work, solve the problem, and charge you their hourly rate (1 hour minimum) plus materials. I appreciated the transparency. Mike and his apprentice Gunnar did a great job. They actually got here earlier than the committed time (after confirming that that would be OK). I explained the trouble I was having. They diagnosed it quickly, repaired it even more quickly, and were done in less than 30 minutes. Mike explained what he was doing and why. I liked the whole interaction. What can I say…I recommend JP, and I hope your experience will be as good as mine.

    JP Electric did an excellent job for us several years ago on a smaller project in our home. So when we decided to put in a new heated driveway requiring increased amperage coming into our home and proper hookup to the heating wires I had laid down on the mesh rebar prior to the cement being poured; we had no hesitation contacting JP Electric to give us a bid. Ian was punctual, attentive and careful in preparing a fair bid and in making arrangements with the power company and our city inspector in making extra power available to our home and that it would be properly inspected. Dominick and Sean then arrived punctually at our home and professionally and effectively worked together in bringing an additional power cable into our home and hooking it up to a supplemental junction box in our garage despite the several challenges they encountered. They also effectively consulted with the electrical expert of the heating wire supplier to bring about the proper electrical connection. We continue to be very pleased with JP Electric. They definitely remain on the top of our list for our future electrical service needs!

After I did all the small things, replacing dimmers and bulbs, I know my limits, so we had Danika send someone out. Mike and Gunner are awesome! They stepped through the diagnostics, made sure we opened a trouble ticket with RMP, and stayed in contact to see how it resolved. They even rearranged their day to come back and fix everything once we narrowed it down. (To be fair, the lights never flickered when they were here; it’s hard to diagnose a video clip but they did pick out some details!) They stayed in communication, and were honest about how far I should go with things on my own. Top notch service from quality guys. But it doesn’t matter what I think.     Smooth and efficient process, friendly people, overall great experience.We worked with RMP to get the details, approval, and a short timeline for a service upgrade (200 to 400 amp). Of the electrical contractors we spoke with, JP Electric gave us the most confidence and a timeline that aligned with RMP. JP gave us an estimate on 02/05/2024, and we had our service upgraded on 02/16/2024. Amazing!Other than the short timeline, we were very concerned about the 50’ section of the yard that has existing power, gas, cable, sprinkler mains, sprinkler lines, low voltage cable, and a gutter drain line. Even worse, other than the topsoil, the property is clay. Other companies effectively told us they were going to wreck stuff and they would not be responsible for anything that was not a “utility.” JP said they couldn’t guarantee they wouldn’t hit something but were willing to do what was necessary to minimize the chances.They sent out 4 electricians on day 1. After realizing what they were up against, the team decided to cancel the trencher and dig it out by hand. I would have never believed 4 electricians would be willing to dig a 50’ trench through 3 feet of clay. They even filled in most of the trench before leaving that day. Guys were tired but still cracking jokes while loading up their tools. Only one small casualty – they hit a feeder pipe to a sprinkler head which took me about 5 minutes to repair while the trench was open. While trivial to fix, I really think most other crews would have not told me about it or worse, not been as careful and done more damage to other stuff that was in their path.For day 2 they had things lined up with RMP and the County to disconnect the existing power, do the inspection, and reconnect the new service. In total we were without power for less than 7 hours.For us this was a big deal but for the JP crew, it seemed like typical stuff. Other service companies can learn a thing or 2 about how to work, and treat customers, from these guys.

    JP Electric came out today and they were polite, prompt, efficient, creative expert problem-solvers! We had a tough request: we needed a 20 amp outlet put in a space where there was only a 14 amp breaker (which would be a fire hazard if we tried to make it work), meaning the team would have to go through my primary bedroom floor, snaking through the walls to reach our home office. Spencer and his partner (I apologize, I forgot his name) were so clever at identifying another simpler solution: going through my garage. They were knowledgeable, respectful and informative.     I cannot say enough good things about these guys! Scheduling the appointment was easy. Every person I worked with was so incredibly friendly and professional. As far as the actual work that was done, I have zero complaints! They were a few hundred dollars less than another company I got a bid from on this particular job. I had my main electrical panel replaced. Lenny and Ryan were the two electricians sent out to do the job. They were in and out in about 6 hours just as they had estimated. They did a fabulous job! It looks great. There was a little ding in my wall because they had to remove the panel and make room for the new one. But what I appreciated was that they actually brought it to my attention and apologized for it. It was seriously so tiny, I probably would have never noticed had they not said something. When they were finished they even turned back on my appliances that I was using when they turned off my electricity. I mean, I could go on and on. They were just awesome. I highly recommend JP electrical.

    This was a great experience from start to finish. Everyone was very professional and helpful from the first phone call. We added a substantial addition onto our house that also included a 25ft tall gymnasium. We had 4 different electrical companies come out for bids. It was near impossible to get anywhere with these companies. Prices seemed crazy expensive and we heard excuse after excuse the entire time when trying to get things going. One night my wife and I started to read some reviews and noticed that JP Electrical had great reviews. Called them the next morning and within the next couple days we had a firm (affordable) bid and plan in place. Im always a little skeptical when someone has great reviews so I didnt get my hopes up. Once the electricians began things went fast and smooth. Our Electricians Lenny and Ryan were amazing. We were so impressed with the courtesy and professionalism of these two. Lenny took a lot of time to talk with me and teach me about particular fixtures that would work best in each of my rooms. His advice was spot on and so appreciative. Weve got tons of compliments on our house, garage, and gymnasium fixtures and they all work amazing. These guys work hard, know what they are doing, and work fast. I dont think things could have gone any better. I would highly recommend JP Electrical and if it were me Id request Lenny and Ryan again in a heartbeat.

    Mike and Dominic were wonderful! They showed up when they said they would. They were able to estimate accurately how long the job would take and worked quickly. They charge an hourly rate, and the total bill for their work was quite a bit lower than the estimates I had received from other electricians who priced by the job. They are very knowledgeable about the lighting needs in a room and explained clearly how to switch from a regular light bulb to LED lighting. I had them install all new lighting in my kitchen and it is beautiful!

    This is the second time weve had JP Electrical out to the house to do some work. They are fast, efficient, and answered all our questions. Even asked at the end of the job if we had any further questions/concerns-this was after wed already paid-thats customer service!! While I was respectful of their time, it made me feel good that they really cared about the job and wanted to make sure we had all our questions answered. Other trades weve had out have tried running up the clock-not these guys. We recently finished a full bathroom remodel (JP Electrical did the rough and all the finished electrical work) They even had time this trip to troubleshoot a few outlets in addition to hanging our bathroom pendant lights. They clean up after themselves, are polite, and solid professionals. If youre looking for someone to do a job, big or small, these guys are great.     We hired JP Electrical for our remodel. After getting a quote from another lighting contractor we decided to get a quote from JP Electrical. Their price was awesome and allowed us to do more than we could have done for the same price with another company. Lenny came out to install our lighting upstairs and downstairs. He did a fabulous job - he answered all of our questions (which were many), gave us various options for different scenarios, moved a light after installing it - when we decided we didn’t like the location of it after our initial placement and seeing it, and was very particular and precise with his work. He allowed us to change what the initial plan was without making us feel like we were inconveniencing him. We ran into some unforeseen issues in the basement after opening up the ceiling (nobody’s fault) and Lenny worked through it and laid out several options for us to still get the desired result.
