We had a sanitary line emergency and Chase, and the crew came out almost immediately and offered an innovative solution to our uphill drain issue. I am a Florida Registered Architect, and I did not even think of the final solution that McCullough Plumbing provided for us. After working all day and into the darkening hours, the guys were still looking through the grass for stay rocks from digging that a lawn mower might kick up. McCullough Plumbing replaced an old tub and tile with a new Koehler tub and surround in a third floor condo (no elevator, only stairs) I manage. This condo is a short term rental, we blocked off 4 days, Chase assured me it would be done in time for our next guests. Not only was it done in time, it was done in only 3 days!! The demo of the old tub and tile and the install was done and complete on day 1. The sheetrock, finish and painting the entire bathroom was finished within the next 2 days. I’m very impressed with the professionalism and attention to detail Chase and his crew gave us. They have won my future business for sure! Definitely a 5 Star company.

Recently, my elderly mother found a leak in her bathroom and called a plumber from a plumbing service chain (NOT McCullough). It turned out that her entire home needed to be re-plumbed as she had faulty polybutylene pipes. The representative from the chain came out and quoted an exorbitant price for the work. He then pressured her to take out a loan on the spot with a lender he recommended so that she could authorize the work immediately. Luckily, my mom called my husband and me and we suggested that she get other quotes before hiring anyone. We were fortunate to talk to and subsequently hire Chase McCullough with McCullough Air Conditioning and Heating (they also do plumbing). Chase and his team operated from a place of honesty and integrity throughout the entire repair. They ended up replacing all of the plumbing at a very reasonable price and in a very timely manner. They were respectful, cleaned up afterwards, and even made sure that my moms water heater came back on and was functional before they left. I just cannot say enough good things about Chase McCullough and McCullough Air Conditioning and Heating. If youre looking for heating/air or plumbing service and repair, they are an excellent choice.

We were extremely pleased with McCullough and would enthusiastically recommend their services to anyone! There’s never a good time for your air conditioner to go out, but especially not when your husband is deployed. I was nervous about finding a reputable, trustworthy company, and luckily, all the online reviews I read pointed me to McCullough. They quickly scheduled a same-day appointment to come inspect, and they were polite and professional. The owner explained everything to me in detail, including all the options, and then also spoke with my husband by phone, after-hours. He answered all our questions and made us feel confident in his recommendations. The next day, the technicians did a great job and finished in about half the time they had expected. The owner came by during the installation to check on everything and then stayed a few minutes after the crew left to make sure everything was in tip-top shape. He had excellent communication with us throughout the process. Now that my husband is back in the US, he and a friend (who used to do A/C work) inspected the air conditioner, and they are 100% satisfied. Such an outstanding and extremely professional company. Back in January my HVAC unit went out. I reached out to Ben McCullough. Ben responded within 30 minutes and was able to troubleshoot that my AC compressor was bad and that I would need a new unit. Unit was very old and needed upgraded and had prior issues that Ben was able to fix before to keep the unit running. Ben stated that they could have a new unit installed next day and I agreed to have them come the following morning at 9:00 am.Ben’s crew arrived about 15 minutes early, two young guys forgot their names. Both gentlemen were extremely professional and clean! I knew they were professionals when they laid down drop cloths on the floor and though the entry hallway therefore my floor would not get dirty. They started removing the old unit at 9 o’clock sharp and had the new unit up and running at 10:40 am.Overall, I was impressed with their on time arrival, professionalism, cleanliness, and how quick they installed the unit. It’s been 4 months and the unit is working great with no issues at all!Thanks again Ben for running a professional company with amazing employees!!!

And when that inevitably happens, it can be difficult to know who to trust to get the job done right. You need someone experienced & knowledgeable who will give you a fair price, honest labor, & stellar customer service. And if you’re on the Emerald Coast, look no further than McCullough!We have used them for two rental properties & most recently for our home. We’ve also referred several friends to them, and everyone has been very pleased with their service. The owner, Ben, is very courteous, respectful, knowledgeable, & honest. He sets high expectations for his team, and they always rise to the occasion. In a community where there are lots of military members who move in and out, it can be difficult to know who to trust. I dont usually take the time to write a review, but I feel the level of service and integrity that we have received from McCullough Air Conditioning really stands out compared to previous experiences with other companies. The A/C or Heat system always seems to break when it is most needed. Each time I have contacted McCullough Air Conditioning, Ben McCullough and his team have been quick to respond. Ben does an excellent job of explaining the problem and getting it corrected quickly. Unfortunately, this past cold snap was the last straw for our old Heat Pump, so it was time to get a completely new system. Ben gave us his recommendation for system without trying to up sale us on a unit that did not provide a feasible return on investment. I did my due diligence and received a few quotes from other companies in the area. In the end, his prices were very competitive but to me, his integrity to perform the job right is more valuable. Its rare to find a company like this - so wanted to make sure I acknowledge the great service!

Summer was coming and I had a slowly dying air conditioner that was past due for replacement. I wanted to have my gas furnace replaced at the same time since it was just as old. Ben came by and explained my options and I was pleasantly surprised with the cost he quoted. The replacements were installed correctly and quickly. I appreciate the little installation touches like a convenient way to clean the condensate drain from the A/C. It has been working well and the newer unit does save me money every month on my power bill which is always welcome.Good price, nice product, quick service with excellent installation, I recommend them!

My outside AC fan stopped spinning at 8PM on a Sunday. This caused room temperature air to blow out of our vents. I called a more familiar AC repair company in town for emergency service. They couldn’t make it until 11am the next morning. I then called McCullough and my AC unit’s capacitor was replaced within 2 hours even with dealing with a lot of unforeseen obstacles. I highly recommend calling McCullough first if you want true 24 hour service.

Several years ago my AC wasnt working quite right. I called a AC repair chain-store and asked if they could come look at it. They told me I needed a whole new unit, and quoted me $6k.I called McCullough and the repairman found that it was just a bad switch in the air-handler and fixed it for $150.So, when it was time to get a new AC, I shopped for quotes. McCullough was already a company I trusted, and they didnt try to sell me something too big for my little house. Their quote was very reasonable, and they set up the install appointment right away.They did a great job, and clean everything up spick-and-span when they were done. The AC works great. The customer support is top-notch, and anytime I need AC or heating help, I will only call McCullough.

I called 1 hour heating and air yesterday and the service man came out for a service call at $69 charge. I was informed that my motor was shot and he recommended i purchase a new larger unit at $6-7K. He also offered to cob it back together for $500. I was unhappy with his service and felt he was trying to take me for a ride.I called McCullough Air Conditioning Plumbing and Electrical Inc. and they came out for a much smaller $49 service call and gave me a straight and honest assessment. They informed me that the capacitor ($200 part) had failed not the motor which would have cost upwards of $2000 to replace. My system is up and running for a total of $250 instead of the 1 hour repair cost of $6-7K.In short i would recommend this company any day of the work. Honesty goes a long way with the little guy. McCullough is not out to make a large commission at your expense.

A bit delayed on this post, but that proves the company stuck in my mind as a very well run company. Ben gave me a very honest assessment on my A/C unit and the options I had. I chose a new unit. Then, only months later, Ben answered returned a call after 10pm on a holiday night in the mid Florida summer heat and showed up that same night so my baby and 2 year old would be able to sleep in the A/C (a user error fault, btw). Then he took the extra time to show me how to prevent what happened and did all that in the most happy and professional manner. Highly recommend this team.

This was our 2nd experience with them and they are always courteous, professional and with quick response times. While Jim McCullough was out here today, I mentioned my dishwasher Lowes installed had come loose from the install brackets and they werent going to fix it under warranty. Jim went ABOVE and BEYOND and reattached my dishwasher to the mount at no additional charge! These folks are a CLASS ACT and you cant go wrong with them!

McCullough Air Conditioning & Heating (Ben) sent out his very capable Technician (Curren) to assess my A/C issue cooling my garage. Curren immediately (w/in 5 mins) diagnosed and discovered my A/C problem, a hanging damper duct that was initially installed by the contractor who built my home 17 years ago. Curren relayed this information back to his boss (Ben), who agreed to repair it even though this was NOT related to or warranty covered in my HVAC install a year earlier. Let me start by saying that this company has the BEST communication that I have ever seen or dealt with personally and professionally.I was visiting my mom in Niceville, FL from Missouri and arrived on Saturday afternoon. That Saturday night the air conditioner in her home went out on us and the next day was Sunday (Fathers Day). We called everyone and was on the waiting list for the next day from a few other businesses. We had a group of people coming over and we had a baby in the house so we needed it fixed that day is possible. Inside the house got over 90 degrees that day.Out of all the companys that I called to try and get same day service on (Father Day) Sunday no one could help. McCullough A/C worked with us and understood our dire need for A/C with the our event planned and baby in the house. They called us several times to give us an update on the possibility of getting someone out to fix the A/C that day. I cant remember the guys name that kept calling but I think he was the son of the owner? He kept telling us that there is hope and they are doing everything they can to get someone out to us before the end of the day. I took maybe 3 calls from him that day with him updating us - THAT WAS AWESOME COMMUNICATION!Turns out that one of his workers couldnt get freed up to come fix it......what did he do next.....he put down the phone and came out to fix it himself. Now that is the type company you want helping you! Awesome Local Service that Cares! He had the part on the truck and was able to fix it on the spot and get us going even on Fathers Day SUNDAY. Great price also. Really helped us out and I am grateful that I made that call to McCulloughs. You dont see this kind of customer care and dedication of service anywhere anymore. Thank You!

If I could give these guys more stars I would. My wife and I had just had our daughter on a Thursday, my parents were in town from out of state and staying at our house. On Saturday morning my parents noticed something was wrong with the AC unit outside and let me know. I called up McCullough (still at the hospital waiting for them to release our daughter) and let him know that there was a problem with the unit and he said he could be there in about 45 min. Once he showed up to the house he fixed the AC unit quickly and waited around a little bit for the house to start cooling off because he refused to let our newborn baby come home to a hot house. If thats not great customer service I dont know what is. These guys are amazing and I would recommend them to anyone whose in need of help with their AC/heat.

I was needing some help today while outside moving a piece of furniture when this gentleman working on an ac unit from across the street offered to come help me and my neighbor move it. We got to talking about my ac and I shared with him that my ac unit was currently not blowing cold air, I had gotten a quote for nearly 2000 dollars for a broken compresser from another local company in Crestview. He offered to check it out and give me a quote once he got done with his current appt. he came over told me what the problem was told me it was a quick fix and not the compresser at all. He gave me a quote for less than half the price and fixed it in no time. I am so thankful as a single 26 yr old girl that i didnt get ripped off going with a different company! Thanks so much Ben for taking the time out of your day to help me not only move furniture and be a generous helper but fixing me ac unit at such a great price!

McCullough has been wonderful to work with. As a landlord living overseas, they made replacing my water heater in my rental very easy. Chase coordinated with my tenants and was able to deliver hot water to them in a timely manner. I was able to communicate with McCullough via email and WhatsApp due to not having an American phone number saving me the cost of a phone call. As a previous local realtor in Niceville, I can’t recommend McCullough enough!! Thanks again for providing wonderful service.

Im so glad I called Mc Cullough when my air conditioner stopped working. After calling their office, Ben called, and he even asked what time would be most convenient for me this afternoon. He diagnosed the problem quickly and it was fixed immediately. They had the lowest service call fee, and he didnt try to sell me a new unit, as another company had suggested. This will be the only company I call in the future.

Our A/C went out on a Friday. We did not notice until we got home around 5. We called another company and they could only get someone out to look at it sometime between 6-8 pm on Saturday. We called McCullough and they were out that evening and fixed it with a simple part. We were charged less than $300. This is the only HVAC company we call now when we having problems.

Our builder used McCullough Heat & AC for the installation of our heat and AC back in 2007 and Im so glad he did. While we have had very few problems with the system, when we did, Ben and his guys were there the same day we called and got us fixed within hours. This time we had a major failure of the heater (just when we needed it). I called Ben and they were there for us! They determined it was something that had to be replaced and got it installed the next day. I wouldnt hesitate in recommending to anyone!

I got home home work on Friday evening to a hot house and a dead air conditioner. We knew it was on its last legs and last year had gotten a quote from some other guys. A friend of my husband recommended Mcullough’s so Saturday at 11 I gave them a call. Ken was there by noon. He looked into the problem and gave me my options. At no time did he try to upsell me or sell me anything I didn’t need. I decided to go ahead and replace the system. His quote, on a bigger unit and a better brand was about $2000 under what the other company had tried to push on me. Monday morning, they were out here bright and early. They did additional things that I didn’t expect. Replace the wood shelf that the inside unit sits on because it was old, etc. they were professional, cleaned up after themselves, and did a great job. I can begin to tell you how impressed I am. They have my loyalty!

Wow, cant express how great this company is. They go above and beyond to help.First, I called another company that promotes One Hour air service. Not the case. They sent a service tech. I was told we needed a part replaced and they could not find one. I was told they would call me when they got the part. No time frame to work with. After two days the house was so hot it would not even cool at night. By day 4 I called and was told the part was being shipped from Texas and they would call me. OK. Day 5 I call One Hour again and ask how much the service was going to cost? Something they should know right? Was told they would call me when they could find the right person to ask. OK. Day 6 no return call, no update, nothing! So I call McCullough to see if they could help (was told by One Hour no one would be able to get thepart any sooner). McCulloughs receptionist had the owner in touch with me within minutes, we discussed what was happening and he personally came to my home within 2 hours. He found the unit was under warranty and the part that was not working qualified for total unit replacement! McCullough Air traveled to Panama City to personally pick up the new unit, brought it to my home and had it running before noon!! Oh yeah, guess I need to let the other company they are no longer needed!!! 6 days without air is too long!!! Will not think twice about who to call next time. Thanks.
