I have hired Rico/AmpTech for multiple jobs at our house, and he is always pleasant, punctual, and helpful! He is incredibly knowledgable and thorough with his work, and very reasonably priced! He has performed wiring work, replaced outlets, and installed and/or replaced multiple light fixtures in my house. I will continue to use AmpTech as my go-to electrician, for sure!

We were prepping for hurricane season and wanted to update our generator transfer box. Rico came out to do the work and found that the old set up, done by the previous owner, really wasnt up to code. Actually, it had been set up quite dangerously.He also explained that hed be able to set things up so that our generator would send power to the entire breaker box. This would enable me to select which lights, appliances, HVAC, etc. I wanted to run and when.The job was completed in a timely manner and with excellence. When I hooked up the generator and gave things a test run everything worked perfectly. Highly recommended and will definitely use AmpTech again when needed.

I have not had work done by this company, but looked at the reviews. I can tell you that the fact that they RESPOND to the reviews, tells me they care about their service and their customers. I will call for my next job. I have several lots with homes going up. Thank you for being a good enough business to care about this new world of having to defend yourself on these types of formats, which I dont care for. And please people--if you have a problem, call the business and discuss it with them FIRST. Dont use this way to indirectly throw shade on a business. Give them a proper chance to rectify.

We have a place at Indian Beach and had some major electrical issues suddenly begin on Friday morning. AmpTech was recommended by a friend so I called them. They responded within the hour. Diagnosed the problem after some serious head scratching. They found that the neutral wire at my outside electrical panel to the power line was severed. They called the power company and later everything was up and running fine. Thanks !!!!

When we decided to install a backup generator for the whole house, we got estimates from several companies, and ultimately went with AmpTech. The estimate was reasonable and Rico explained in detail how the install would be done. Another factor in my choice to use AmpTech was that they are a Briggs and Stratton dealer. I had one of these units installed on another home I own and based on my experiences, believe these are the best generators available for residential use. They also have the best warranty. When it came time to do the install, they showed up when they said they would, kept me informed through the entire process and consulted with me on installation details. Thankfully, they discovered that we had a major problem developing with our meter box, which was over 40 years old. They replaced that as well and likely prevented a fire. Honestly, I cant say enough good about Rico, Rebecca and this company. Its great to be able to support a local, family owned business that is truly invested in the needs of their customers. I wont use anyone else for future electrical work.

Called AMP Tech when my 30 amp EV charging recipable did not work. I called After 6 PM and left a message. They arrive at my home at 8:30 AM and fixed the problem in 30 minutes. Both men were courteous and polite. They explained the problem as GFI circuit breaker failure and probable cause of the failure.September 21, 2019 I encountered intermittent problems with my microwave, toaster, refrigerator, lights and other strange electrical problems. I called AmpTech Sunday morning and left a message explaining my problem. I received a call back from Rico in a few minutes and explained more details. He was a church with his family, but he said he would see me as soon as possible after church.He arrived within a few hours and diagnosed problem as a Carteret Craven Power problem. He contacted Carteret Craven and they were on site within 30 minutes. They found a defective underground splice that resulted in 240 Volt being intermittently sent to my 120 Volt house circuits. The underground splice was replaced and service restored in a few hours.AmpTech was back onsite Monday morning to repair and replace receptacles and burnt circuits. I called Carteret Craven and they got me in contact with their insurance company. The insurance company paid all labor and replacement cost for the many destroyed lights and appliances.AmpTech provides outstanding expertise and service
