    I recently had Gault Electric handle the electrical work for my 220 amp hot tub installation, and I couldn’t be more impressed. Gabe and his apprentice Johnny did an excellent job! They were incredibly respectful of my home, making sure everything was clean and tidy as they worked. They also installed a 60 amp breaker efficiently and made sure the job was done right. What really stood out was their professionalism and flexibility — they accommodated my schedule and followed my instructions perfectly. Highly recommend Gault Electric for any electrical needs!

    The team at Gault is amazing. From start to finish, the professionals in their business office and the technicians who made repairs at our home were responsive, knowledgeable, and went the extra mile to ensure we understood our options. We decided to go with Gault after considering several other providers and we clearly made the right choice. Our original need was a full HVAC system replacement, and we ended up having to replace our gas hot water heater in the same week too. In both cases, the Gault team took the time to walk us through the details of what needed repaired and provided a clear estimate and invoice. An unexpected shot of cold weather put us in a bad way without fully functional heat (and then without hot water!), but Gault came to the rescue. They were able to ensure our work was prioritized and fully completed in the same day for each of the repairs. I will definitely be using Gault again - theyve been great!

    The technicians did a phenomenal job replacing my HVAC unit and one of the ducts. I received an email and text notice with technicians photo before they arrived. They showed up on time and ready to work. They were very courteous and kept me informed of exactly what the job entailed. They ensured that everything was working properly before they left and made sure I was comfortable with the system. I trust Gault and will keep renewing my service contract with them.

    This was the first time we used Gault Electric and we were very pleased! Brandon was right on time and did an annual service on our backup generator with tuning of its performance better than our previous service. He gave an excellent explanation of the system, demonstrated its performance and how to care for the Generac, especially tips to prevent ants and critters from causing expensive troubles. He was friendly and professional. Super service!

    Setting up a pottery kiln is no easy task. But the gents at Gault Electric handled it like pros. They were able to run wiring through crawl spaces, up walls, through attics into the garage.     Words cant sufficiently express my gratitude to Gault (HVAC division). They recently installed my air conditioner (heat pump). The work was done with care as if they were installing their own system. They took their time to make sure the work was done right and that I was satisfied before they left.     I had to have my unit replaced, not only was Mike honest and upfront about everything but when I had an issue he immediately came over and fixed it. He was the only technician who came over and realized my intake was too close to a gas appliance. I have a toddler and he has made me feel more secure that I am keeping her safe in my home.I met multiple techs from Gault.     Alex and his partner with Gault Electric did an amazing job. He provided a few ideas as to what my problem was and replaced a GFI. He arrived on time and was extremely polite, professional and knowledgeable. His main concern was safety and ensuring everything was up to code. Like most electricians, he made sure his final work product was neat and clean. I hope I don’t need another electrician but if I do, it will be Gault Electric.

    Gault Electric LLC is a great company...hands down!! I had some problems with my electricity, Johnny and Gabe came out and found the problem quickly. They took the time to explain everything and showed me what the problem was. The next day they completed the job in a timely manner. After that I had some minor issues not related to the 1st problem. Mitch came out...again explained everything to me etc. These guys were great including Rhonda. The lady knows her stuff and she was patient, compassionate, and very professional!!     After I had horrible customer service with another electrical company, I called Gault Electric to come out and service my home generator. I was very pleased with the administrative and technical service provided by Gault. I especially like the fact that Gault sends you a picture of the service rep ahead of your appointment. To me, that’s a nice security feature. My service rep Tony was very punctual and professional. I highly recommend their electrical services, they cover all of tidewater and you will not be disappointed. 😊

    My transfer panel board had burnt out from power outage due to a storm. Contacted Gault and Toney the generator guy, showed up on time and started troubleshooting right away. He was professional and friendly. Explained what was going on, he had parts with him and finished in a timely manner. I am very pleased with his service and skills. I highly recommend him.

    Gault Electric came through once again. This time it was my AC after I did everything I could think of they were the first I called because of their honesty and professionalism. The tech came out and I explained what I did and they went right to work, trouble shot the entire system found the issue repaired it took before and after pictures to show me what happened.     Jess Sheilds and her apprentice Holden did an excellent job diagnosing the problems with my wall receptacles. They installed new outlets and Jess explained the wiring process while she was working on an outlet. Jess and Holden were very courteous and professional.     My heat would not turn on via thermostat. Gault Service Manager Josh tested my thermostat and determined that the batteries were dead. Gratefully, a new thermostat was available for installation.     Had an issue with a gfi outlet that I could not solve. I called Gault at about 2:30-3:00, they were actually available at about 4:30, which was so-o-o great! Johnny and Gabe worked through all possibilities and four the problem about 2 hours later! Fixed, and now I can open the garage door again! Yay!!!

    I recently had Gault Electric install a generator at my home. It required the installation of two transfer switches and I upgraded my breaker panels to 200-amp service as well. All of the employees that worked on the installation were very professional. They addressed my concerns regarding the location of the transfer switches and the generator.After city inspection the initial startup was completed and everything worked flawlessly.The last issue, handled by Brian, who came out to fill in the trench connecting the generator to the house with sand to help protect the cable from the fill dirt. He addressed a slight problem I had with the way the foundation was originally constructed and he rebuilt the foundation fixing my concerns.Working with Gault Electric has been an amazing experience and their approach to customer service and satisfaction is refreshing and an example of how all companies should work.

    Called Gault on the recommendation of a family member and was very grateful they were able to fit me in that day! Power wasn’t working in part of my house, including the AC, and they saved me from a hot three-day weekend (due to the holiday). Technicians were professional and respectful, found the problem and fixed it quickly while explaining everything to me along the way. Educated me a bit on how to prevent the problem in the future, too. And all for a reasonable $220. Will definitely use them again!

    So needless to say we had a fire start in our panel, after all the panic and the crazyness calmed down. We immediately called gault electric who was nothing but amazing and friendly. We had Brett come out and inspect everything the very next day and we had a quote an hour later. We moved forward and they came out the very next day(today) and a new panel, wires repaired and some other minor issues fixed as well. The service and friendliness was awesome and would completely and highly recommend them for any and all repairs be it electric or solar!!

    We have used Gault for both solar installation and electrical work. We first used them for solar and found them so good that we decided to try them for electrical. Electrical was perfect with two very good and knowledgeable electricians. They were both very friendly and professional. The solar installation was flawless. No roof damage and panels working exactly as promised. Unlike most solar installs, Gault backs up their work and their promises. They aren’t going anywhere so even if we had problems years from now I know I can call on them and they will be there. Good luck with that when it comes to solar installs. Also, Gault didn’t knock on the door or send a flyer around advertising solar (red flag that the solar company could be a fly-by-night); we reached out to Gault. Ironically we were referred to Gault by another electrician who works for another company. He had gotten solar from some fly-by-night and said he wished he had known about Gault when he had solar put in.

    Jessica did an excellent job of installing a new ceiling fan, updating 2 kitchen outlets to GFCI, and replacing an outdoor light.The ceiling outlet box was too small and was replaced. They made sure the fan was balanced and working properly. The GFCI outlets were tested. The outdoor light was caulked. The job site was cleaned up. Jessica was easy to talk to and answered my questions.

    We had a generator installed. Everything about the process was excellent, from explaining the options to scheduling to installation, everyone was professional and friendly. Their communication before, during and after the job meant we never had to guess about anything. At installation they had to change the location due to the gas lines, which meant they had to remove a large shrub, which would normally have been my responsibility as the homeowner. They took it in stride and still got the job done quickly. We will definitely use Gault again.

    Yet ANOTHER great service visit by Jess from Gault’s Electrical Service division!! This is not the first encounter we’ve had with Jess operating on our premises. On this occasion we were experiencing some unusual problems with one of the GFI circuits in our kitchen. We had concerns about what was the cause of a sometimes functioning and then NOT operating circuit. Almost immediately, Jess troubleshot and discovered a loose connection in one of the circuit’s outlet boxes. Repairs were completed in a timely and complete manner. Not only did this restore the proper operation of the circuit but prevented what might have been an unknown, dangerous fire hazard. Jess is a consummate professional technician and a valuable asset to the Gault team.     Excellent service. Brett gave us an estimate and the front office scheduled our electrical work to get done a couple of months later since they were so busy. He was very detailed and explained everything. Rhonda was great to work with scheduling all the work.We were quoted two days if install for three rooms of lighting, breaker panel change, generator hookup, ceiling fan wire so it wound up taking three days. Robert and his apprentice technician Alex were great to work with.     Gault Electric replaced my decade + old Briggs and Stratton 20KW generator today with a new 20KW B/S unit and my new generator has a much more attractive + sturdy enclosure and runs much quieter than its predecessor. One of the features I like most is the lower RPM cool down phase - lasting maybe 5 - 6 minutes or so. The old unit did not have this feature and would abruptly cut off once normal power was restored / stabilized so I really like the cool down option since this also lets me know its status.David, Jack and Josh removed the existing unit and installed the new one - all three were excellent to work with - all were well mannered, professional and knowledgable and didnt mind an old guy asking questions while I watched and learned from them as they worked.They programmed a weekly test to ensure the battery remains fully charged and ready to fire on a moments notice. They also tested the unit simulating an outage and everything worked like a charm.Steve also did a great job on the initial sales side but I wasnt that hard of a sell as Ive always felt confident with a whole house Briggs and Stratton unit beside my home.Highly recommend the generator experts from Gault Electric to anyone looking for a positive experience and outcome.I was always kept informed by their office team as to who was showing up and when I should expect them.It was a 5 Star Experience for sure.

    We had the blower motor in the air handler replaced, the return air duct updated to the correct size after Josh came out and looked over the system and made his recommendations.     Dalton, Terry and Colin are a phenomenal team of expert contractors with Gault Electric. Terry and Dalton identified the source of the problems that we were experiencing with our heat exchanger / air duct system, and Dalton and Colin went above and beyond to not only fix the problems but they also doubled checked all of my connections, cleaned up any older debris that was noted in the area, and made it a priority to properly correct any issues, whether it was on their work order or not. Their work was clean and efficient and my attic space has never looked so good! In addition, they identified the source and corrected a different problem that we have been experiencing in our exhaust system located in the primary bathroom. It turns out the duct work had separated, so they repaired it. Dalton took pictures to show me the before and after photos of their work and he offered easy to understand explanations from start to finish of the project. I honestly dont remember the last time I worked with contractors that were so polite and respectful. I highly recommend this team and will continue to hire them to take care of my home in the future. On a side note, Gault Electric also services my Generac generator and a few other systems on my property. *Outstanding group of contractors.

Mike and his team were extremely responsive, quickly identified the issue., repaired it, and also completed upgrades to the fireplace to ensure it was safe.     I had Mike Johnston leading the team out here on the installation of a condenser for my A/C unit. I had a greatly mismatched A/C system from a different local A/C company and it did not work as intended. Mike thoroughly explained what I needed and gave me the best price I had found, so of course I went with Gault. They got the job done quickly and efficiently.     Corey Culp was outstanding. As stated prior, my vehicle had broken down in the turning lane of a major highway. When Corey found out that I was on need of assistance, after his service call at my residence, he came to where I was and physically pushed my vehicle to a safe location; crossing several lanes of traffic in doing so. During the last few yards when reaching an inclined driveway he was assisted by York county police person officer Flowers. Im very grateful for the assistance Corey and officer Flowers provided. Corey did what so many others refuse or neglect to do, to help your fellow man when theres a need. Kudos to Corey and Gault Electric should recognize his diligence. I will definitely use Gault Electric as my service provider.

    Today, we had our fuse panel replaced with a circuit breaker panel. The service that we received was exceptional! Not only was the service great, but the value was awesome as well. The electrician that performed the work was Robert Taylor III, and he was an outstanding professional. He was prompt, efficient and friendly. His experience was evident in his performance, and while he worked, he paid close attention to detail, kept a tidy work space and cleaned as he went, and he continuously worked to make sure everything was right. It’s unusual to have work like this done, and at the end of the day be able to say that he was a pleasure to work with. Gault electric communicated very well with us up until the moment he arrived to ensure that we were well informed about the status of the job. I would recommend Gault Electric for any electrical needs, and it would be a bonus if you got Robert!

    Two Gault electricians, Daniel and Alex, came to my home to repair the front doorbell. It was not operating due to the incompetence of a previous repair man. The work required them to locate a transformer necessary to operate the doorbell. This took some time but the part was finally located and in good time the repair was completed. Then I also asked if they could just let me know what light bulb I would need to replace one in my kitchen ceiling light fixture. They recommended that I use a different bulb that would last a lifetime and I agreed. They then went to purchase the new bulb and came back and installed it. The replacement is now much brighter than before and am very happy. Throughout their time in my home they were very professional, explained what all they were doing and made sure everything was neat and tidy before they left. I highly recommend this company and these two men for their outstanding work.

    2024 Update. Electricians David and Reese rewired a garage conversion including receptacles, switches, exterior lights, mini-split sub-panel, pool heater sub-panel, and a few other lines. Superior attention to detail! Josh reviewed the garage, had recommendations, and John and Dalton installed the new Daikin system the following week. Interactions with estimators, dispatchers, office admin (your services are noticed Amber, Leah, and Carla), and the installers have all been professional and courteous. Recommended to others.2021 We requested a quote for a whole home generator. Brett was knowledgeable and answered our questions thoroughly. We chose not to install one but instead have interlock kits installed for our (2) 200amp service panels so we can use a larger portable generator. Scheduling was easy and the admin folks polite. Brady and Alex arrived on time, were clean-cut polite young men that didnt smoke, and were very knowledgeable. In all facets of interaction, Gault staff were exceptionally polite, professional, and took the effort to explain things. Highly recommended.

    Both David & Robert were fabulous! They were skilled, efficient, careful, and communicated well. They made sure to cover all the surfaces in our newly remodeled kitchen before starting their analysis and subsequent work. The end result was exactly what we had hoped for! Robert made sure he left the kitchen looking better than prior to their visit— they polished quartz counters & tile backsplash & ran a wet swiffer over the floors.     The office team and electrician team were fabulous! Rhonda helped get me on the schedule quickly to replace my stove outlet before my family arrived from out of town. James and Josh arrived on time and quickly got to work. James found an outlet hazard and notified me so I could have the option of including the repair while he was there.     The fan on my ac unit stopped working a few days ago. I contacted Gault immediately. They were able to get a Technician out to me quickly to diagnose the issue. I need two parts replaced. One of the parts he had on hand but the other he needed to find from a distributor. I was told to expect a call the following morning with an update. That’s exactly what happened. I was contacted the next morning, informed that the part was found and could be installed later in the afternoon. Dale Mancil was the individual I worked with. He was very friendly, very informative and a pleasure to work with as was the scheduler that contacted me with the update. I have nothing but great things to say about this company and would refer them to anyone.
