Major Issues: My company has taken over an existing restaurant located within a hotel that was built in 1974. Fire Marshalls and Electrical inspectors found Major issues that needed to be addressed before opening. I contacted Scott with Ampd Electric who dropped everything to see how he could assist. Scott has taken the lead in dealing with the inspection process finding solutions that saved my company large sums of money. Everyone with the company has been professional and informative with timelines and events.Having a go between with exceptional knowledge of the codes and regulations has removed the stress of my issues and allowed me to focus on other aspects of opening a restaurant. Read their reviews before contacting them and was impressed from the beginning with Olivia. She was thorough in explaining their process and rates. Received an email the day before reminding me of the next day’s appointment along with the name and picture of the electrician. Brandon was prompt and immediately went work assessing the problem. He was courteous and professional, before we knew it he had identified and repaired the problem.Rates are better than these private contractors etc., reasonable. I recommend their service if you’re in need.

During a recent storm a transformer issue affected power to my home. This happened during the process of selling the home and the inspection that went with it. An emergency call to Amp’d Electric brought outstanding electrician Scott White to my door late on a Friday afternoon going into a holiday weekend. His professionalism and courtesy in diagnosing the issue and immediately contacting Duke Energy to correct the problem insured that everything was fixed and power completely restored that evening. He returned the following week to fully inspect the home to assure that no damage had occurred. Both Mr. White and Amp’d Electric demonstrated personal concern and complete competent professionalism at every step of the way. They have my highest regard and recommendation.

And no that was not an emergency call rate, this was the normal scheduling ! The electrician Brandon that came out was super friendly, worked fast, and double checked everything before he left ! I removed a lighting fixture in my bathroom and had them install an outlet for a lighted mirror. I had a billing issue that was promptly resolved above my expectations.Additionally had them check the electrical panel to make sure everything was normal.Technician was punctual, efficient and kind. From the initial call with Samantha to the completion of work by Brandon and his team, AMPD electric demonstrated a highly professional work ethic, customer service and provided outstanding quality of work! Samantha was very helpful in coordinating the project around my work schedule! Brandon came out quickly for a walk thru and free estimate. Had the initial work of removing electrical power to our project, troubleshot an overloaded circuit repairing on site, and then once our renovation was completed the team installed 4 new outlets and wiring! Highly recommend them for your Electrical needs!

After our heat went out, contacting a different, local, reputable electrician who showed up promptly and informed me it would be thousands of dollars requiring various permits to repair, me reaching out three separate times after the initial visit for an update (once a week), never hearing back from them (still havent), and going without heat for a month, I contacted Ampd Electric via their web site. Ampd got back in touch with me the same day, scheduled the electrician (Brandon) who came on time as promised, and evaluated the situation. I informed Brandon about what the suggested repair had been. After looking at our electrical panel and the HVAC unit, Brandon let me know he did not believe the problem was electrical but was sourced in our HVAC system and suggested I have an assessment done by an HVAC technician. Turns out Brandon was correct. Had I pursued the other company further and had the work suggested by the previous electrician completed, I would have wasted thousands of dollars. It is good to know that there are still professionals who are more interested in doing the right thing and value customer service over making money or perhaps choosing the easy jobs. Brandon is honest, professional, more than capable, and extremely knowledgeable. I will never hesitate to contact Ampd for all of my future electrical needs.

To follow up my review below: I now understand they were dealing with personal home issues as a result of hurricane Florence as were so many of us, including me. Once we connected things worked out very well. Excellent work. Im withholding that 5th star because communications is important.Ampd might do good work but dont expect them to return calls or give an estimate on the work you need done. Ive waited 10 days for an estimate and several follow-up call not returned. Next....

Brandon showed up on time in his unmarked work truck, installed can lights in my kitchen and bathrooms, and gave me advice on the best lighting layout. I am very pleased with Brandon’s professional demeanor and look forward to his completion of my electrical work needed due to Hurricane Florence. I live in Virginia and appreciate his quality electrical work!

I have to update and retract my previous post and give Brandon the owner some credit. After leaving my initial review apparently Brandon wasnt aware of what had been happening. He personally called me the next day to apologize and correct the issues.We scheduled an appointment to meet and he was on time and was very professional. He gave us a quote on the spot. I requested that he send it over in a written quote as well as a certificate of Insurance.No problem.... this was on a Saturday and first thing Monday I had the quote.We decided to go ahead as long as Brandon would be involved. He did everything he said he would. We are very happy with the quality of work and his employees were courteous and professional acting. My wife had questions and they answered them with no problems. We even had them add some lights and an additional drop for a ceiling fan which wasnt initially discussed.Thank you Brandon and your crew!I would recommend Brandon in the future.Best regards
