Emco did an awesome job on running new wires and installing all of the lighting for our new kitchen. Amijail and Kourosh were very professional, courteous, and skilled. They artfully ran new wiring through old conduit while removing the old. Several new circuits were added to the box with no problems. Overall they did excellent work. Highly recommend.

Mike rescued me from a do-it-yourself screw-up. I added dimmers to a bank of living room and dining room light switches, but when I turned the fuse back on, the dining room light over the table had mysteriously died. Mike showed up right on time and in no time at all found the spot where a wire had slipped out of it cap, fixed the problem and then cleaned up the wiring. Thank you!

I needed a new ceiling light installed where there was no receptacle which required running a new electrical line to the ceiling and a new wall switch behind an enclosed wall. I called several electricians that my building manager referred me to, but the 4-5 hour job was too small or they could not get to it for months. I found Emco and decided to give them a call. The team was very responsive in getting the job quoted and scheduled, but the best surprise of the job was their meticulous work and attention to detail, from prepping the site to prevent any damage to minimizing the inevitable patchwork required after the work was done. I will definitely turn to Emco for my future electrical projects.

I hired Mike to rescue a chimney fan installation after another electrician quoted me a ridiculous fee. Mikes price was great. he communicated frequently and professionally and was responsive +++. when a building code issue (nothing to do with him, but preventing access) delayed finishing the job for almost two years he still.kept in touch and responded right away when I confirmed we were good to go. Installation completed within days. I cannot rate high enough.

We have used Emco twice. First time was Mike alone - prompt, courteous, totally professional, efficient and reasonable. Second time was two others for a job which we thought was going to be straightforward and a few hours, but ended up being a full day. The guys working here were both, again, prompt, courteous and totally professional. When you live in a small space and are going to have strangers around all day, it really helps when they seem not only to know exactly what they are doing, but are also friendly and pleasant to be around. I cannot recommend Emco more highly!

The work was excellent and Mike was extremely responsive to calls and scheduling. Right on time (a rarity in NYC). Was pleased with the level of detail put into their work. Make sure you are crystal clear on expectations in advance - in order to get an estimate for work without surprises (additional fees) later on. You also need to be available to personally supervise the work being done. What you ask for may be more complicated than it looks (my experience with Emco.)

I don’t usually post reviews but wanted to recommend Mike from Emco. Got his name from a local listserv when we needed to (we thought) have a new wire run from our apartment to building basement (a major job). Mike came and did some troubleshooting and quickly told me my wire was fine (the HVAC guy had given me the wrong diagnosis). Mike listened well and was quick and efficient and a pleasure to deal with.

Prior to meeting with Mike (the owner), I anticipated a huge bill for a comparably huge wiring project. After thoughtfully going through my offices electrical system, he proposed a number of less disruptive/less costly options which would adequately address my offices electrical needs. He appeared to be a competent/knowledgeable individual - who was quite pleasant to deal with. I certainly would use his services and those of his crew should further electrical needs develop.

I can’t say enough great things about Emco. For years we’ve had electrical problems that other electricians have attempted to fix but couldn’t. Mike solved the problem in one visit. We’ve used him on 2 projects now and have not had any problems. He was on time, thorough, patient (explained everything and answered all my annoying questions), worked quickly, fixed the problem and left the place immaculate. It doesn’t get better than that.

Mike and his team did an excellent job of fixing the HVAC electrical box on our roof in preparation for the roof to be resurfaced. He was meticulous in making sure the electrical wires were supported through a metal pipe, and remounting the box on the side of the roof. The roof workmen from another company were also very impressed with the quality of work. He was incredibly responsive, even came out on a Sunday, and was able to finish the job ahead of time. I cant recommend this company enough, and will most definitely be using their services again in the future.
