Our experience with Matthew was TERRIFIC. From my first contact, he was professional, timely, helpful, and thorough. We had to do a fairly major electrical upgrade to add amperage that would accommodate a Level 2 EV charger. There were some logistical challenges involved, and he worked through them all, explaining our options, being very straightforward about the work required and costs. He coordinated with PSE as we needed a new line and meter. We are very happy with his work, and the results, including the actual charger install. Plus he’s the nicest guy ever (not an exaggeration, trust me). I strongly recommend Freight Train Electric!!

Matthew did an absolutely hero level job on a custom smart sub-panel install using the Leviton Load Center series. Wireless smart breakers and hub installed too. On top of that, it was a high difficulty wiring from the main under the house situation. He patiently answered all my questions and concerns and educated me on quite a bit. I cannot speak highly enough of Matt at Freight train. He was recommended to me by a local business. I called and he came out to my home to look over several projects I have going on. He itemized my estimates by project which I appreciated. After agreeing to the work and contract everything went smooth as could be. His communication is top notch. The install was very clean and far exceeded my expectations. Matt is so conscientious about what he does it is impressive to watch. After the work was completed the site was thoroughly cleaned. This was our first experience with Freight Train Electric, and they will be the ones we call for any future work that needs to be done. Our experience was nothing but positive. From the beginning, Matthew was was upfront and professional. We originally contracted FTE for a few kitchen outlets that weren’t working properly. While fixing the electrical outlet issues, Matthew discovered that our electrical box needed replacing. Our electrical panel had become dangerously overheated, and we are very fortunate that the problem was discovered before a fire broke out. Matthew throughly explained the situation and the replacement process. We highly recommend FTE. Our experience shows their professionalism, promptness, and their commitment to ensuring their customers understand the process and the reasoning behind the work.

On track, on time, and full steam ahead! Freight Train Electric responds quickly, stays on schedule, and gets the job done with skill and efficiency. Matt is an expert electrician who takes pride in his work, aims to please the customer, and has a stage presence that is reassuring. He quickly assesses the problem, presents the options for a solution, and thinks ahead to potential issues that might be headed off by work done now.He responded within a day to my call and was able to work in my small job on short notice. He communicated well and kept me up-to-date on his arrival time. On site he quickly diagnosed a problem with outdoor lighting that had stymied us for some time. He and his able assistant Gabriel also installed a new circuit in our garage that involved some dexterous wire fishing from the attic. They worked intently and stayed focused, even while patiently answering questions from their inquisitive customer. The outlet was installed neatly, including tidying up the ragged edges left by the builder. Prices charged are reasonable for the trade. It was great to find a contractor who is responsive, pleasant, and gets the job done right. Freight Train Electric is who well call for any future electrical jobs.

Matthew is AWSOME! Im getting a new well pump put in, not by him, by another company. During the electrical portion if pump instillation my power went out in the whole house. Plumbers couldnt find problem so they called Matthew to trouble shoot over the phone. Matthew was working on another job at the time, but he left that job and came right over! Determined my 20 year old electrical power box needed replacement. He called PSE had them come out for an emergency disconnect. Got the permit to replace my electric box and had it replaced within a few hours. He had inspection done. He called PSE for the reconnect and now Im good to go to get my well working with a new pump. All done in less than 24 hours. Thanks so much Matthew! Also, I ask lots of questions, Matthew was very nice and answered all my questions to my understanding. I will definitely call him for all my electrical problems. It is always nice to have someone you know you can depend on to do a great job and go above and beyond what is needed.

Great experience. My wife and I are newer home owners. Our electric panel was pretty old, house is from the 70’s and probably had not seen much maintenance or upgrades since the house was built. It took most of the day to complete the job of replacing and upgrading the the whole panel and new grounding. Matt did an insane amount of of work in one day, and the work he did looks great!! Definitely would like to work with Matt and FREIGHT TRAIN ELECTRIC in the future.
