We bought a 1919 Federal house which was 80% knob and tube wiring. Barry and his team did an incredible job updating our home! They were taking care of us every step of they way making sure that we got what we wanted even when we did not know we wanted it! What a joy to have tradesmen who are great at their jobs but also kind and caring individuals. We cant wait to start on the 2nd phase for our kitchen and master bath. (photo is the light Jared ran over to put up so we could have Halloween candy out even though we were going to be out of town.)

We were very fortunate to have Jared, Ben, Jeremie and Preston from Brown Town Electrical upgrade our service panel to 200 amps. They also completely wired our new addition including a new 100 amp sub panel. They were courteous and respectful and easy to work with. They were very willing to answer any questions we had. We highly recommend Brown Town Electrical and will use them again!

Brown Town is an excellent choice for home electrical help! I tried another electrician who “no showed.” Called another and got a message machine. I called Brown Town and Jasalyn answered — speaking with an actual person is a bonus! She was helpful. We set up a time for the following week. Jeramie and Preston showed up and were kind, considerate, and friendly. We had a variety of little jobs, adding timers to outdoor lights, ceiling fixtures to replace, including adding ceiling fans which can be tricky. Jeramie worked attentively to fix the wobble. All the work was done professionally, attention to code and what is proper, and conscientiously and helpful in explaining to me various tidbits. I highly recommend Brown Town — maybe I need to change more fixtures to have them visit!? 😉

Everyone I spoke with at Brown Town was so helpful. Setting the appointment was easy and I received great communication up to the appointment. Once the electrician Jared showed up, he listened carefully to my issue (all my garage outlets were down) and went about diagnosing the problem. He did a wonderful job explaining what he was doing and what he thought the problem would be. He was able to locate our problem fast and get us back up an running. He explained how we could avoid the problem in the future. He took time to talk me about our future plans. I will definitely call Brown Town in the future. They made everything as simple and painless as possible. They were very professional and knowledgeable.

I attempted (for over a year) to find an experienced electrician that could remedy a prior attempt made to install a chimney fan above my stove. Jeremy did a great job of installing the fan and bringing the wiring up to code. He was measured and thoughtful in all his work, professional, and cleaned up his work space after completion. He also tackled a check of my heat thermostats, replacing one that had only worked manually. Will definitely be calling Brown Town Electric again.

I highly recommend Brown Town- we had a bunch of weird electrical issues (power surging, lights flickering etc) Jeramie came out and diagnosed the issue as coming from the power line- advised us who to call - Snpud came right out (the line to the house had a short) -Jeramie then came back out (the same day!) and replaced 5 dimmers that had gotten shorted out with the power surging - he took care of a couple other issues and got everything buttoned right back up! Could not have been happier with the whole process- from booking the appointment to coming back and getting everything sorted everyone was very professional and helpful!

This is by far the best electrical company on the planet! As a brand new business in a small town trying to get started, they truly care about helping out the local business. They work efficiently, handle anything and are always willing to go the extra mile to make sure your building is safe for years to come. My wife and I used Brown Town Electrical in November of last year. After being stood up by a local provider, my wife found Brown Town on the Sunday before Thanksgiving. Jasalyn not only got back to us on that Sunday, she confirmed an appointment for us the day before Thanksgiving. Jeramie came out, was early, professional, got the work done quickly, and was an all around good person. He even had to work around our cleaners who were running a bit behind. Job turned out great! It was a small job of hanging some new lighting fixtures, but it was a big relief for us to have it done before family arrived for the holiday. We would definitely recommend Brown Town Electrical.

I cannot begin to explain how courteous, efficient and enjoyable the team from Brown Town electrical was! Jared and Katy made us feel at ease instantly. They kept our house clean, made sure our cats didn’t get out and made sure we were comfortable and happy with each step of the process. They did several different fixes around our house over the two days they were on site. Each was perfect. Other than what they fixed, there was no trace of them after they left. Barry and his crew were absolutely amazing. My wife and I do not write reviews. We askew the attention but the professionalism exhibited by Brown Town Electrical made this post a necessity. They accomplished a challenging task for our business, completing the task quickly and true to their word on the details. More than simply accomplishing the work, they demonstrated a true level of integrity by working closely with other agencies involved and in cleaning up after completion. Most of all, we loved that they were palpably excited to do the work. When a crew loves the work, they reveal it in their attitude. Brown Town Electrical has that ethic. The work (new electric line for cooktop, multiple dimmer installs, 3 ceiling light replacement and 2 electrical plugs with usb-c plugs) was completed over two visits and we are very happy with everything. We are currently in the midst of remodeling both the master bath and the guest bath. Our trustworthy contractor, Mount Array Creations, recommended we use Brown Town Electrical for the power and lighting changes. We are so thankful that we used them! Barry came out and gave a fair estimate within a day. Once demo was done, Jared and Katie were there the next day to do the rough in. Our vision for the remodel had changed (deleted some of the lighting, a garage heater and an outlet) a bit since Barry’s estimate and he explained that changes are fine and the bill will only reflect the actual work done. He even threw in installation of the garage heater at no charge! Jared was just about done with the rough in when he discovered that we had a loose connection at the main feeder lug on our power panel. Barry and Preston joined Jared within 20 minutes to further evaluate the situation. They showed me the problem and we observed it buzzing and sparking. They explained how serious this was and recommended the power panel be replaced. Power was very shortly shutoff by PUD and Barry shuffled his crew’s schedule to replace the panel the next day. Preston and Jared, got the job done the next day (a very tidy installation, btw) and after the panel was removed, they showed me the problem and explained the pending consequences if it were not replaced. About 80% of the insulation between the power feeder lug and the metal box had been ablated by the sparking/arcing. Once the insulation is breached, an explosion and fire would have occurred. Having already experienced a major fire in a previous home, we are so thankful that Brown Town Electrical spotted the problem and corrected it for us! Over the last 5 years, we have used 5 other electricians for various projects around the house. Maybe this problem hadn’t developed yet, or maybe they just didn’t spot it. Either way, we will only use Brown Town in the future based on our positive experience with them. Their expertise is top notch, communication is excellent, work is tidy, and price is fair. Obviously, I highly recommend them.

Last time we tried to get an electrician come to our house, we could not get anyone to come out to it. We should have called Brown Town, because that was not the case with them at all this week. They returned our call immediately and had someone come out to assess the issue the next day. He was extremely friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. He gave us options of what we could do, instead of immediately trying to sell us a service or product we may not need.

Outstanding experience dealing with BT Electrical to wire a traditional sauna. From end to end, communication was excellent with all parties involved: the business development rep/scheduler, PM who provided the quote, and electricians who performed the work. They were also very accommodating/flexible with scheduling since the sauna delivery date was a moving target. The electricians were very thorough, prioritized safety, listened to any concerns I had, clearly answered any questions, and did a thorough clean up after the work was completed. They were excellent, I highly recommend working with them on your electrical needs.

Brown Town construction rewired our garage and brought light back into our lives! Barry came out and did a free assessment (most companies charge for this, but not Barry, which is awesome). I wish I would have taken before and after pictures. The results when Barrys team was finished were stunning, and exceeded our expectations. Barry, Matt and Peter went above and beyond, rewired our whole garage, added several new light fixtures and outlets, closed off the old, dangerous wiring and made our house safe from what could have been a potential electrical fire. Barry figured out the least invasive way to run the electrical cables from the lower floor of our home, up and around outside to the garage. This saved us from having our walls all busted up, and from having to hire a drywall team. Electrical work is always expensive but we found Barrys pricing to be fair and definitely worth the value for the quality and attention to detail. The team always communicated, shared details of the work they were doing, completed the job as quickly as possible, cleaned the area when they were finished, and even fixed the garage door, which was just a nice touch as that was not even part of our agreement. I absolutely recommend Brown Town Construction for any and all of your electrical needs.
