We have used Putnam Mechanical for 20 plus years at more than three houses. Work has varied; repair of older equipment, consultation and selection of new equipment, and spring/fall system checks. We have been pleased with their knowledgeable technicians and office scheduling staff and appreciative of their advanced level of technical support. We have no reason to consider another heating and air service.

My experience with all new HVAC was excellent. In short: honest, dependable, wonderful employees, reasonably priced and great after-sales service. Weve owned this 2 HVAC system home for 24 years and have gone through several other companies. The people at Putnam have earned my business for the future. One tip: avoid the company that advertises on TV as a local company. They are owned by a PE firm and tried their best to upsell me on products I didnt need. High pressure sales and their price was significantly higher.

I had 2 different HVAC companies come to our house before Putnam, neither did the simple service we originally asked for because it was peak summer and they were all in a rush to get to their next appointment. Putnams tech Matt thoroughly went through everything, properly serviced it all and cleaned the coils. They took their time and found multiple capacitors that needed to be replaced. We wont be working with anyone else but them going forward!

Putnam is great! We’ve used them twice now in two years for “new installation” work, and both times Putnam gave us excellent pricing and excellent equipment installation work. The first was a heat pump, and the second was a furnace and large A/C system. In both cases their proposal costs were a lot lower than the competition… Now, we’ve also moved our hvac maintenance work to them, and we’re happy to say that they’ve already demonstrated their superiority over their competitors for ongoing maintenance work as well…They are “Outstanding”, according to my wife, and that says it about as succinctly and accurately as I could summarize it! We looked at 4 to 5 hvac dealer/contractors, and Putnam’s work and pricing just smoked everyone else!

Great service and they stand behind their work. We had them install a new furnace in January of 2023 and just started to have some issues with it. They came out next day to diagnosed it, got us up and running, and then came back a week later to fix it. All of it was covered under warranty even though it was technically a month over the 1 year period. They had no obligation to do that under the warranty and I appreciate they take care of their clients in these situations.

Stellar experience. We noticed our furnace wasnt working on Wed morning and I submitted a request. Within an hour, someone had contacted me and scheduled a service call the SAME day. After assessing the problem, I was informed of all repairs needed with a detailed estimate of costs. They acquired the parts and our heat was back to normal on Friday morning. Putnam Mechanical replaced my upstairs AC unit during a two week heat wave. They were the only company that could order the parts and have my AC up and running the very next day. Some companys told me it would be 7 days before they could even come out to evaluate it but Putnam was there and went above and beyond to make sure we were able to sleep comfortably. I also work for a local Real Estate Firm and we were struggling to close a property because of an extremely high quote from the home warranty service provider to repair the HVAC. I called Putnam and they came out within hours to give us a written estimate which was significantly lower, enabling us to reach an agreement with the home warranty company and close on the property. I have been very satisfied with the service I have received and would highly recommend them to anyone!

We had cold air in our house tonight and all day! Take that Morris Jenkins! We had a contract with Morris Jenkins for 5 years and what a rip off. They overcharged for every little problem. They even charged us $750 to put Freon in our unit to test it for leaks which anybody could see the Freon was escaping out of 5 decayed areas only to inform us that the unit would have to be replaced and we would have to buy new Freon for the new unit. DUH! We are still trying to pay off that credit card. Putnam was very professional and quoted us a price for a complete replacement unit, which was a few hundred dollars cheaper than 5 other dealers, and threw in a replacement filter. Anybody shopping for an air-conditioning unit just send them this way. Well give Putnam Mechanical an excellent recommendation!

Prior to his arrival, Anthony, the technician, called and confirmed his arrival time When he arrived he the verified maintenance to be completed and where the equipment was located. When he entered the house, he put on his shoe covers and went to work. He cleaned and tested each system individually. When finished, he walked through his findings and said everything was in good working order and was ready for summer. He thanked me for being a customer and moved on to his next appointment. We needed to replace our AC/Heat Pumps units on our house and the Putnam team did a great job and we had a wonderful experience. It started with the appointment team and connecting us with Tim. Tim then came out and helped us to understand what we really needed and also give his expert advice on the variances among the brands. After listening to our concerns, his expertise helped us to understand what units we really should have. After we choose to have Putnam install the units, the installation team - Justin, Joe, TJ and Ryan - all were incredibly respectful to both my home and our dog. Each of them were careful to treat our home like their own home and then they also treated our dog like their dog. Our dog definitely made several new friends! Mark (the install supervisor) then made sure several times over the course of the day that the installation team had everything they needed. Tim also stopped by twice to make sure there were no issues. The units they recommended are working well and our home is now all set for those 95 degree temps. A big thank you to the Putnam team for their incredible work, work ethic and our overall experience. Definitely 5 stars to all of them!!!

Today I had the most stressful day I can explain. I just moved here from New Hampshire and what could go wrong with the house has. earlier I had people coming to install my washer and dryer. My outlet was not to code with the one needed for a dryer. I called this place spoke with Jill who was lovely. She was so calm and helpful. Jonathan arrived here shortly after and was hands down the best thing that has happened since our arrival here. He was kind, professional, helpful, and positive. His work was fantastic. I am used to people just applying payments to cards, but he found me, asked for my permission to apply the payment and explained the cost- which by the way was a fantastic deal. He was in our laundry room and I was explaining why I had called him, and how difficult things going wrong with the house had been. He not only cared to listen, but of his OWN doing saw the dryer vent kit, and asked if I knew how to install it. I explained that Geek Squad said they could come back in a few days. Jonathan smiled and said “I know my wife likes to do the laundry. Let me set this up for you, no worries, free of charge.” I could have cried I was so happy. We have been down here for days and were so thrilled to get this hooked up to do laundry. Not ONLY did he show initiative doing that, he also was around a conversation I had with a private company to fix my furnace. Jonathan explained that his company does not work off commission, said that he would call his HVAC person to come and check it out to make sure this person was offering good advice. He personally called for me, confirmed my appointment, and could not have been better. You best believe I forever will use this company and will ask for Jonathan by name. I hope that his employer sees this review and recognizes what an outstanding employee he/she has. From the moment he came in I was relaxed and happy. He had to do something with the electrical board in the garage, which was NOT easy to access (I had boxes everywhere) and my house was a mess from moving, and he was so professional and nonjudgmental.
