Paul who came out to give us an estimate on a generator install was very polite professional and pleasant. He explained everything we asked of him and wrote up an estimate for us. Setting up the estimate appointment was easy and quick. We are still deciding if we will have the work done. The estimate was a little higher than we were planning on spending.

I discussed what the generator was doing with Mark and asked him to check it out. He did and explained that we could put a soft start kit on the A/C. We also discussed the amount of time that the generator had been running. He also mentioned to me that the battery will last about 3 to 4 years. So I decided to have both changed. Mark also explained what the generator does as far as the surge of gas to get the A/C Unit going. I decided to wait on the Soft Start Kit because of the expense, but would like to get it done.

Generator came on for Hurricane Francine when We lost power and thought everything was fine, as everything working. All of a sudden We had no AC.All the breakers were working, as My Husband checked inside and said it probably wasn’t sending 220 to system.Never checked outside because He wasn’t going to mess with generator and also it was storming. I called Lightning Services next morning and was put on a wait list telling Them We had no AC. The front panel on AC inside was blank. I was called later saying someone would be out. About a half hour before Marc came, power came back on and then AC was working again. Marc has been here before for same problem. Hopefully it’s fixed now. I don’t know what was done or what was wrong. Marc is very nice, pleasant to talk to, and feel Heknows what’s going on as said He checked all 3 AC units and generator.

This company provided me with fantastic service!A tree fell during hurricane Francine and pulled the main powerlines from the circuit breaker box at our house on the eve of 9/11. Lightning Service was able to come out the next morning and work throughout the day and finish fixing things Friday morning. They also served as our liaison with Entergy to get our new permit to get power and even spoke to me Saturday for some troubleshooting when we were getting hooked back up. Barry and the team that worked on site after his initial visit (Tyler, and two men who were both named Matt) could not have been better!

Our first experience with Lightning Services was after Hurricane Ida. Our brand new Generac failed and we had a hard time getting someone to service it and when we finally did, they couldn’t fix it. We then got in touch with Lightening Services and they were able to get someone out and get our generator fixed. We’ve had them come out a couple of times since then, they are very responsive and knowledgeable. The people who schedule the appointments are also very sweet and helpful.We’ve also had them come out for an A/C issue and they were able to quickly identify and fix the issue.I highly recommend them!

They also respond to issues very quickly. When my app alerted me that something was wrong, I simply called the company and they sent out their technician within the hour. I have had the pleasure of meeting Marc and Lyle, And both were genuinely lovely to work with. This type of customer service feels like a dying Breed in the world today. I have to say Lighting Services is always top notch. Roy always handles all our needs electrical, generator, AC first class. The only thing I don’t like is the 95 dollar fee to tell me that I needed to point the remote towards the AC. I think that could have been handled over the phone. Scott was great in explaining my problem and risks which I really appreciated, however the parts and labor was kind of pricey. I which the consumer had different vendor choices in picking parts it may lower the bill and a break down of labor cost. I do understand the repairman doesnt know how involve it will be, until he has fully investigated the unit, however it would be helpful and cost effective for the consumer. By the way for pricey job completed, that Diagnostic charge should be subtracted from the total bill and warranties should be more than 30 days.

Roy at Lightning Services seriously deserves a 5-Star rating. He was extremely helpful, informative and patient with all of our questions. Roy was quick to both predict and identify the actual issue with our AC unit. If youre in a pinch and just expect to need maintenance done, then the chance to get Roy as your technician is well worth it.However, I cannot give Lightning Services a 5-Star review. I was not impressed with the sales process, at all. Their tone and attitude changed the moment I mentioned that I was going to do my due diligence to seek out a second quote. The sales rep bad mouthed the other company, whom ended up being cheaper, friendlier and provided a longer/better warranty.

Technician did a fine job replacing the module.He did not know how it worked.The load sheding module works on frequency. Entergy will always supply 60HZ or their system will completely shut itself down. The generator tries to supply 60Hz up to its rated capacity. If it is overloaded, it slows down and the frequency drops. The load shed module senses the low frequency and starts a priority timer. Timer times out, moudule opens.The priority timer is set different for each module so they will trip in sequence until the frequency reaches 60Hz.John L. Wilson PE

My wife and son are both allergy sufferers, and despite our constant efforts to eliminate dust from our home, it always seems to be a losing battle. We contacted Lightning Service to inspect our ductwork and a/c system, and find out our options. From the very initial call it was obvious that we were dealing with a great company. Their staff was very courteous and professional, and seemed genuinely interested in our situation. They took their time with us on the phone and asked lots of questions before recommending the right person on their team to come to our house.We received a follow up phone call the day prior to the appointment to confirm that the appointment day and time still worked for us, and another call on the morning of the appointment to alert us that the Lightning Service technician was on the way.When the technician arrived, he was nicely dressed, well mannered and very thorough in his inspection. After taking a long look at our ductwork and a/c system, he let us several options available to us so we could make a informed decision as to what was right for our situation and budget.I would highly recommend Lightning Service to anyone in the New Orleans metro area looking for a professional air conditioning, heating or electrical company. And as someone who works with many air conditioning and heating companies in my profession, I know a good one when I see one.

Included was a check of the electric panel which proved to be a good thing for the safety of my family. Due to many reasons, the panel needed to be replaced. Roy is an amazing technician and truly a credit to his company. He is caring, conscientious as well as professional and was a lifesaver for us. My electrician recommended Lightning Service. I called early in the morning and was given an appointment on the same day. Paul the technician was there on time and was able to immediately determine what was wrong with the standby Generac generator. I do all of the maintenance of the generator. But this time the control panel was not telling what was really wrong with the unit. Paul walked me through the process of determining what was wrong with it. It was the battery, the battery needed to be changed. Coincidentally I had a battery and was able to change it out. That saved me a lot of money.I am extremely pleased with Lightning Service. I recommend them very highly. Very caring nice people on the phone and technicians that help no matter what. If anything goes wrong with my Generac generator I will be calling Lightning Service.

Lightning Service always does a great job! They are dependable and professional. The Field Tech Scott showed up at the scheduled time and took care of my HVAC routine service. He was very knowledgeable and even repaired and moved a duct that wasn’t part of the regular job. Their prices aren’t the cheapest, but you get what you pay for. I’d definitely recommend them for any HVAC or electrical work.

My need for this equipment was critical as my heat went out during an unusually cold February.Thanks to Paul, space heaters were loaned to me, and I was given priority service on the installation of the new Lenox system.I have been most satisfied with this system, and with LIGHTNING service maintenance technicians.So, I would like to also recognize Roy, who has been to my house so many times that I am now requesting him by name.
