Thank you for taking care of this request for ceiling fan install. Matt and Xavier were professional and at the same time Just nice human beings to have working on my daughters fan. Definitely will use your company again and again as much as I get a chance. Was nice to feel at ease, they were greatAlso, they dont shortcut. They follow code - checking to confirm ceiling electrical box was rated to hold fan, and are not in a hurry to just get a job done. They carefully put the fan blades & parts all together, asking my daughters preference when needed, and afterwards explained how to handle if there is any issue with fan.

I had a few problems with my outdoor outlets and a couple light fixtures and contacted 5th Gen. They were responsive and got out to me very quickly which was great.Xavier and Matt showed up right at the beginning of the time block which I was assigned and they were both very courteous, respectful, and knowledgeable. They took care of a couple of the minor issues very easily and also handled the tougher issues without any problems and even went out of their way to get along with my dogs!!I was given an estimate for a few key items that came up and was emailed the invoice for the one days work and extra info on doing additional in the future if Id like to do so at that point.I cant recommend 5th Gen enough - if you have any electrical needs, you should definitely contact them because that level of professionalism is hard to find these days!

Outstanding customer service. I needed a three way switch replaced because I failed at replacing it myself, they were here the next day. I was impressed that they wore fancy coverings over there shoes. They even gave my electric panel a once over to check for deficiencies, come to find out one of my breakers are too large for my A/C compressor and overloading it witch make sense because it is making a loud noice when it kicks on.

I wasn’t sure how to find the right electrician to call about our garbage disposal switch not working and the breaker tripping so I googled companies in the Mesquite area and found 5th Gen Electric. I was super impressed by all of the great 5 star reviews and called to schedule an appt. I loved that they are local, right here in Mesquite, and in fact Eddie grew up here 😁Eddie and Xavier came out less than 2 hours later, ran tests, diagnosed the problem and replaced the switch, added a missing ground wire and made the box safer.Not only that, but then they did an inspection of our entire home and left me a report on what looks good, the safety hazards & the areas of concern that they found (green, yellow and red, so easy to understand!). They emailed proposals for doing the work that needs to be done and upgrades to make our electrical system safer and more efficient. Now we can make decisions and plan future work. They also offer a membership plan for a very minimal monthly fee that provides a 15% discount off invoice and offers a bunch of other benefits that we’re considering.I advise looking at their website and their Facebook page for a lot of great information to help you know more about how to have a safe electric system in your home. I felt like I got a pretty good education there before they even arrived just by ready their posts!5th Gen is a company with a heart for people, and I felt really comfortable doing business with Eddie and Xavier and will have them back to do more work (our house is 50 years old and needs some work!). I trust them to do a great job, explain things well and not take advantage of us.We all need to support great small businesses like 5 Gen in our community. I feel very blessed to have found Eddie and Xavier today!

Xavier and Adrian were at my house pretty much all day, working so hard on several projects: replacing two chandeliers with light/fan fixtures, wiring for and installing two new electrical outlets on our patio, repairing a shorted out light switch and replacing another outlet that was faulty. They were very professional, did a great job, and I was impressed by the communication from the company as a whole!

These guys must be the best electrician company in the Dallas area! We interviewed about 20 different electrical contractors for an extremely challenging electrical job in a very old church. Eddy, the owner of 5th Generation Electric is far more knowledgeable about all things electrical than any of the others we interviewed and has done a fantastic job with great efficiency. They also insist on offering very fair prices and when you consider the extremely high quality of work they provide, their prices seem even more fantastic. Eddy and his crew are also extremely meticulous, friendly, polite, neat and tidy. They not only cleaned up after themselves neatly at the job site, but they also cleaned up after other contractors who were there before them. Dealing with this company has been a true blessing and a real joy!

I had another company (the one with the fancy commercials and bald dude) come in and add an outside outlet to for my flood lights in front and in back of my house. A month later I have been having issues with my A/C tripping my breaker and couldnt figure it out. Finally, I called 5th Generation Electric and they came out to my house to find that the other company (it was actually the bald guy who did the job) tied in my new flood lights to my A/C electrical and was causing the panel to trip repeatedly. If it wasnt for Eddie, Id still be screwing with my breaker tripping. Make sure when you call to get an electrical contractor out, you call 5th Generation Electric!

But short cuts in electricity have deadly consequences. Save a life, not a buck. Make more money; you only have one life. Every call leaves everything as it should be. UPDATE 9/29/2023- This was my first time having Matt and Xavier at my house and both get 5 stars. They completed the work from start to finish in about 2 hours, even with me in the way, they showed me where I didn’t need something we thought we would and reduced my price, and they left the work area in pristine condition when they left. These guys are the best in the biz and even though they don’t advertise like the rest, their value is in their workmanship, not their wordsmanship.UPDATE 9/1/2023: These guys are still the best 4 years later. Eddie Nicholls and his professional team of electricians never disappoint. They are always courteous, timely, and it always feels like youre talking to a neighbor. Plus, while it doesnt impact how great they are at electricity, it is nice to know that they actually exemplify their public facing image, in private. Thats something a lot of companies are not doing and it is GOLD!PREVIOUS: 5th Generation has found and fixed so many electrical problem that our previous owners left behind for us and we are very grateful at their commitment and through inspections to ensure things are done properly to keep us safe.They are always courteous and helpful and answer all of our uninformed questions like true professionals.
