    I was very impressed by Ray from Mattex when he came to fix a broken blower for my HVAC system. He was professional and thorough throughout the process, making sure everything was working perfectly and explained what he was doing and what needed to be done.He also made some very thoughtful recommendations about possible services down the line, but was not pushy about any of them.I would definitely recommend Mattex, and Ray in particular!

    Ray showed up to our service appointment on time. He greeted me in a friendly and professional manner and remained so throughout the entire appointment. He wore shoe covers whenever he entered our home. He was courteous and explained any issues and recommendations regarding our equipment in a thorough and honest manner. Thank you Ray.Nick from Mattex came out very quickly while Ray was still diagnosing our A/C. Nick was also very friendly, courteous and professional. He wore shoe covers whenever he entered our home. He figured out our needs and gave us our options for equipment replacements, as well as financing options.He took the time to answer all of our questions and made us feel comfortable with the process of A/C replacement. Thank you NickAbel from Mattex came to our home to get an idea of what the techs will need to do to install our new system. He actually called me to ask if he could come over earlier than the scheduled appointment, which worked out perfect for us. When he arrived he was very friendly, considerate and professional. He wore shoe covers whenever he entered our home. He took his time thoroughly answering the many questions I asked him and provided great insight on the services Mattex provides,as well as how the equipment works and what to expect from the service techs. Thank you Abel.Elliott and Nick showed up the next day to install our A/C and Furnace units. They arrived right in time and were friendly and professional. It was a long work day at our home for them with a heavy rain storm and they got the work done without skipping a beat. Nick explained how I can keep the A/C unit clean to maintain its efficiency and Elliott explained how to use the thermostat and change the furnace filter. From what I can tell so far they seem to have done a good job install the equipment. Thank you Elliott and NickElliott came back a few days later at my request to more thoroughly seal part of the equipment that was installed against our house. He was on time, friendly and got the seal job done as I requested.I also think it’s important to give their customer service team that answers the phone and sends and receives text messages with updates about service appointments some praise. I’ve been impressed by all of them.This is the first time we have dealt with Mattex and so far I have been very impressed by how they’ve conducted their service.

    The mattex process is very convenient. Made an online request sunday night, and the problem was fixed Monday by lunch. Mattex communicated by phone and text with updates on when the technician would arrive. Ethan did a great job explaining the options, found, and took care of several small issues i was unaware of, saving me a service call in the near future. Pricing is upfront and clear. Mattex makes it easy, and Ethan is an outstanding technician.

    Had a technician out to service my furnace and A/C for the yearly checkup.He checked everything out and told me it was good to go and did the job in a timel manner. I did confirm when scheduling the appointment that this charge would include cleaning the coils off for the A/C unit and Im honestly slightly dissappointed at the thoroughness of that portion of the job.If Im paying for a professional service Im expecting a thoroughly done job. However, seeing as big chunks of debris were left on some of the coils. I was really hoping that they would have removed the siding to clean it off but they did not. And it is not fully cleaned off due to that.Overall a good experience, just a bit lacking in thorough follow through on the cleaning of the A/C coils since this is what I cared the most about on this job.Otherwise the tech was very nice and professional. Thats the only reason for 4 stars.

    Im not normally one to leave reviews but I must this time.. I just bought my house 1 month ago and received a clean Inspection by the Inspector 🤔🤬.. Just to find, once I moved in that I had quite a bit of Electrical Issues that should have been found. I called Mattex, the issues were found shortly after Josh arrived. We found other issues such as my Furnace and A/C, so they came out again for those repairs. While working in the attic one of the technicians found a leaking roof!!! These gentleman spent a total of 3 days at my home. They were always very professional and explained everything in great detail. Everyone one of them genuinely care about their customers and what they are going thru. Les, is really Great and helped me get the financing I need to get all the jobs done. They might not be the cheapest in town but not the most expensive either. You definitely get the best service by caring people at Mattex and to me, thats well worth the little bit of extra cost, for that and Peace of mind knowing the jobs were done right!!! A Great bunch of guys! Plz, give them much if they spend all day at your house, They definitely deserve that and lunch more!!!     The day we moved into our new home in Mattoon we walked into a flooded bathroom from a main sewage line back up. Mattex came out immediately and started repairs. They got the system functioning so that we could continue the move in. They were able to completely repair the line within days. Tim and Alex were so kind and empathetic to our situation! We have had to have Tim and Alex come back to the house several times for other issues we encountered over the first few months of moving here. Each time their professionalism, knowledge, and kindness have been outstanding. They are very patient and thorough in explaining problems and solutions in detail. Today we had Cecil come out due to our ac not cooling our house. He identified multiple issues with our ductwork and was so kind and patient to explain the problems in detail! It was very apparent that he was very knowledgeable about the situation and the solution! Every time I have had Mattex out to the house I have been more than impressed by their service! Not only have they been able to identify and repair our issues, they have been able to make us feel confident and secure in their work! We have used them for plumbing and electrical and now we will be using them for ductwork.     I highly recommend Cecil as technician and Mattex . We had a broken cool condenser. It was extremely hot outside, and inside we had already 82 degrees. Cecil showed up very quick. He detected problem in 5 minutes, replaced bad part, cleaned our condencer, and replaced air filters. Also, I really appreciated him for customer education about our AC system. If I could give him 10 stars I definatly would!!! Very satisfied with Cecil and Mattex!!!

    Had a weird sound echoing in our vents, Mattex came out and turned out we had a pinhole leak in our piping and it was spraying in the crawlspace onto our ductwork. They got out here super fast, figured out the problem and got it taken care of asap. And let us know of some preventive measures, and what to expect in general with our older pipes. Great place to call when *something* is wrong but youre not sure what!

    James came out and provided a quote to replace a aging water heater. He asked a lot of usage and budget specific questions and provided multiple options based on my answers. He was very professional and knowledgeable of multiple types of units which would fit our needs. We narrowed down the options after he completed a thorough walkthrough and assessed the existing infrastructure that would allow the installation. He provided a written quote before leaving and stated a emailed quote would be provided the same day. I would highly recommend Mattex, and James specifically, for your HVAC, electrical, and plumbing needs!

    All I can say is WOW!! I was not expecting such exceptional service. All the people I encountered (Oscar, Mike, Austin) were all so kind and helpful. Our furnace went out in the middle of winter and they made sure to serve us ASAP. They worked with us with replacing our furnace to one that fits our needs. It was literally installed the next day once financing was approved! They truly care about the customer and the comfort of who they serve. I didn’t feel like I was being “sold” on high items just for them to get an extra buck. They offered us discounts and flexible payment methods that worked for us without even asking.Also, they let us borrow space heaters so we wouldn’t freeze that night! I will never use another company for my plumbing and electrical needs. We are first time homebuyers and knew nothing about this kind of stuff. And they explained everything to us without judgment.     Amazing service call today. Have had issues with my thermostat installed by my alarm company as well as issue with another furnace we have. The furnace was “repaired” by another company, my technician addressed the issue right away and spent the time to repair it correctly. He also went above and beyond to resolve my thermostat issue by talking to their tech support and correctly wiring and setting the thermostat. Cole Hurt was my technician and I would recommend him to anyone, he was knowledgeable patient and extremely understanding. A+ company A+++ technician.

    I have two LARGE dogs, and two small kids. my A/C died on Thursday, they replaced my A/C and furnace on Tuesday. They worked fast, professionally, and where super friendly. I am a paying customer, and will only use them from now on! if you need HVAC work, just ask for Trevor at Mattex! He was great with both my dogs and kids. He took the time to address my need, budget, and time. Trevor even took time out of his Saturday to bring by a portable unit to help us stay cool until they could get ours replaced.     Scenario Wednsday day before Thanksgiving our family is hosting 46 family and friends the next day and, you guessed it all three kitchen sinks back up. Not only did Brandon our plumber technician arrive early that morning but he got the sinks to working great. Then, as if that wasnt enough he fixed one of our broken toilets (the bolt and toilet flange had to be replaced). And he finally topped the day off by fixing a terrible case of water hammer by replacing a faulty check valve. To say that my wife and I were eternally grateful would be an understatement.     We discovered Mattex on line, and from the reviews we saw. We decided to try them out. They set us up with appointment right away. That evening Trevor was at our house. He gave us the run down and explained everything very clearly. He set us up for installation right then. Which I believe was the 14th. He set us up for the 19th. Cole and Vince showed up that morning introduced themselves and went right to work. They were very polite and professional, They answered all our questions which were allot. They did a good professional installation, double checked everything. Since we had heating and air installed they double checked both systems to insure they were running properly. they went over the thermostat a couple of different times to make sure we understood it. It is different from what we had. It hooks up to the internet So I can now control my heating and cooling from my phone. Trevor made a special trip by the next day to ensure we understood how it works, and that we got hooked up to the internet. So now I get the weather report on my thermostat. To conclude Cole and Vince were professional in everything they did. They did a very good job cleaning up behind themselves. I would recommend them very highly to all who are interested.

    We got in touch with Mattex after being neglected mid-job by a competitor. They were able to finish repairing our water heater and check our furnace in the same service visit. Our technician was professional and polite. Unfortunately he discovered that our furnace was needing to be replaced. I was impressed that the salesman was able to come that afternoon. He (Trevor Buford) was professional and very thorough. I was impressed at everything he checked and asked us. He helped us select a system, which was installed as soon as it came in. The system has done wonders for our home and seems to be exactly what we needed. I am impressed with the warranties (offered through Mattex and Trane) and we are confident that choosing Mattex was the right call. Even though it was a very stressful time, Trevor helped us to know our options and we did not feel pressured.I feel I must add that Mattex went above and beyond after a technician accident caused damage to our ceiling and wall. They repaired damage and made up for the inconvenience of the repair work (drywall repair took days and days, unavoidably.)We are very happy with our choice of Mattex.     When we first moved to the area from Colorado a year ago our home had a newer complicated high tech HVAC system that I had never had any experience with. Not knowing where to turn I called Mattex and explained my situation and they immediately sent Trevor out. I feared that I was going to have some tech guy show up and talk down to me or even worse have a salesman show up and try and upcharge me for everything... and boy was I wrong... Trevor took the time to explain everything to me and made sure I understood how to operate the entire system. He treated me as a friend and made sure that my wife and I understood everything. After he left I did some reading on my own about some possible upgrades so I contacted Trevor again... he came back and helped me select the upgrades that made sense for me (I actually was impressed that he didnt try and sell me on things I didnt need). There were a couple of add one that I though I wanted and after discussing them with Trevor he explained to my why some of those things wouldnt make sense for me and would be money wasted for my system... and he made recommendations that would truly benefit our home... When the service tech came to install everything Trevor again took the time to walk us through everything step by step (and the service tech treated my home with utmost respect, taking care to clean up after himself and making sure everything was tidy)... and then, to my surprise, a month both Trevor and the tech called me out of the blue just to check on how things were going... at that point I realized that Trevor and Mattex truly care about each and every one of their customers. Trevor provides a level of service that seems to have vanished in this day and age. I applaud Mattex for staffing their entire company with compassionate and truly caring individuals.
