Slava and MD Plumbing were excellent in installing our Moen Smart Monitor system in our condominium. The location required for the monitor was difficult but Slava was able to install the system extremely efficiently. He was extremely knowledgeable on the system, completed the complex work much quicker than I envisioned, tested system, and cleaned up the work site after the installation. MD Plumbing is the company to use for any complex plumbing issues. I would use MD Plumbing and especially Slava for any plumbing issues. It is a 5 star company.August 6, 2024 New Post-Had Slava and Cory who is training with Slava diagnose a “rattling “ of the water pipes in condo ceiling when opening hose bib on patio. This began after installing the Moen Flo system with a resultant increased water pressure. The outdoor faucet is 17 years old and in order to replace it we would have had to cut an access panel in the bedroom wall which was not practical. Slava with Cory who was training with him were creative and brought faucet parts that he thought would work. He rebuilt the faucet without having to cut any holes in interior walls and the rattling of the pipes in the ceiling was resolved.Once again Slava was prepared and creative to diagnose and resolve the problem quickly, efficiently, and creatively. If you have a plumbing issue the only company to call is MD Plumbing and ask for Slava as your technician. MD Plumbing and Slava in my view are 5+ star rated.August 13, 2024 New PostAs we continued to use the newly installed Moen Flo system we noticed that every time hot water was used, the water pressure registered by the Moen Flo system would show a rise of 10-15 psi. The only way to decrease the pressure was to run cold water from a faucet for a minute or more. I called MD Plumbing and requested that it send Slava, the MD plumbing technician who installed the Moen system to diagnose the problem and hopefully correct the problem. The appointment was scheduled for the next day and Slava quickly diagnosed that the water heater tank expansion tank had failed, and in addition, whomever the previous owners used to install the water heater and expansion tank, had installed the expansion tank improperly. Slava quickly replaced the expansion tank, changed the plumbing line connections that were not installed properly and mounted the tank properly on the wall, as it had been improperly positioned horizontally on top of the water heater. After installing the new expansion tank properly, we now have a hot water heater expansion tank that is operating appropriately without causing any increased spikes in water pressure. As I have stated in my previous posts, MD Plumbing has been excellent in all respects, from scheduling an appointment, diagnosing and repairing the problems, and insuring that the entire system was installed and operating as designed. Their pricing is extremely fair for the quality of work that is performed. Again if you require any plumbing service needs or new installations, MD Plumbing is the company to call. I would highly recommend that you ask for Slava. He is clearly one of the best technicians that I have ever used for plumbing problems or issues. He is 5 star, personable, knowledgeable, and excellently versed and skilled on plumbing problems and issues.

I cannot say enough about Chad and the team at MD Plumbing! Fantastic work and very professional. I had a long drawn out process with a slab leak under my frontporch next to foundation going on for 5 months. Chad was very responsive in guiding me through it with trial/error until we got it figured out. Cole and Curtis who did the work were great as well as they stayed for over 4hrs, chipping away brick, and repairing the pipe. Would highly recommend as they are honest, fair, and will treat you well for any plumbing needs! Great team and thank you!

We had a Moen Flosmart installed in our home today. Slava and his assistant were great! They came to give us an estimate and were able to complete the job today which we weren’t expecting, but were very happy about. They used drop cloths to protect our floors, cleaned up after themselves and used shoe protectors. They installed 3 water detector pucks and paired them with the app and made sure everything was in order before they left. I will not hesitate to recommend Slava and M.D. Plumbing to anyone.

I had a great experience working with M.D. Plumbing & mechanical. I spoke with Laura when I first called told her I was experiencing issues with high water pressure in my home. She told me she would get a technician out the same day. When the technician arrived, Bobby, he explained to me how high water pressure can be dangerous to my homes Plumbing. Bobby was able to diagnose the problem and provide a solution. He installed a PRV and brought my homes water pressure down to a safe pressure. I would highly recommend their services.

Its never a good sign when you get to know your plumber well. However, if you do find yourself in such a situation, hope that your plumber is Jason J. from MD Plumbing.From the very beginning we knew Jason was our guy for the rather large undertaking of a complete home repipe. The first company we reached out to, the plumber who came out to do the estimate essentially measured distance and counted fixtures to calculate the estimate. Jason, however, got under the house to look under the hood. He came back to us with recommendations for how best to do the job, and even discovered the upstairs was plumbed with undersized pipes that he would fix with the repipe. I really, really appreciated the thoroughness of the estimate, as it was a sign that a similar attention to detail and workmanship would be applied in the actual repair.To no surprise, Jasons quote came in significantly less than the other company, primarily because of the work he put into the estimate allowed him to write one that was much more accurate to what would be required for the repair. And by significant, I mean almost three times less, saving us *thousands* of dollars.As for the actual repair, Jason and his assistant knocked out the whole-house repipe in a day (a long day, but a day nonetheless). They also found several ways to minimize the invasiveness of the repairs, saving us more money on the back-end when it came time to fixing the holes in the ceilings/walls. Moreover, Jason was more than happy to come back out the very next day and take care of a few (expected with such a big project) touch-ups. It never felt like after he had finished up, that I was no longer a concern.MD Plumbing, and Jason specifically, will be our first and only call for any and all plumbing needs in the future (we actually already had him back out to install a Phyn leak detection system, which is pictured). In addition to the massive cost difference between MD Plumbing and others, I sincerely appreciated Jasons dedication to his customers, quality of workmanship, and overall just being a good human who I was happy to have in our house.Also, I would be remiss without giving a special shout-out to Jaqi, who helped coordinate scheduling and was ALWAYS quick with communication about the project.A million thanks to MD Plumbing for being a bright spot in an otherwise soggy situation.

I am so happy with the service that MD plumbing and mechanical provided for me! Hughe was our technician and he did a thorough and wonderful job diagnosing our low water pressure problem. I chose MD because they do not charge a fee to come out! They were immediately able to schedule me in to be seen, and had great customer service! He was very kind and explained everything to me. He got under my crawlspace, and checked several different water outlets surrounding my house. I have been living with low water pressure for four years in our old home. I just thought that this was a part of owning an older home. After he was finished with his diagnostic, he found a simple valve that was turned off and immediately our water pressure increased. I previously had someone come out who did not do this thorough of a diagnosis and recommended re-piping my entire house or replacing a valve for $300 to $600. I ended up paying a fraction of that for the diagnostic test and Hughe found the simple solution to a problem I have been living with for so long. I wish I reached out sooner! I am so happy the problem is now fixed and will definitely recommend M.D to everyone, I know! I am so excited to be able to take a shower with more water pressure. Sincerely, a very satisfied customer.

It is a challenging task that utility company wasnt willing to do as I dont have crawl space and the range isnt placed adjacent to an exterior wall.Jason was incredibly professional, took pride in his work and demonstrated meticulous craftmanship. Like other conscious customers, I approached many plumbing companies (4-5) and all of them asked to open 3 visible holes in my drywall/ceiling to install the gas line extension or give me ridiculous quotes. Some even asserted that I have no choice but to run smaller pipe with higher pressure. Jason was the only plumber who told me that he could complete the job with just two visible access windows AND use steel pipe rather than those flex pipes that are easy to install but with lower capacity, etc.And he overdelivered. Jason completed the job with just one small access window in my drywall. He paid great attention to details and was extremely with the surrounding. He did his very best to minimize the damage and even restored the drywall to the best way possible. He didnt have to do that but he chose the best rather than quickest path. I know how much efforts he had to put into the installation by working with just one access panel, while other plumbers would choose to rush the work by following the quickest (aka lazy) approach. Jason chose the harder approach that is good for the homeowner. He worked in my house like it is his own house -- this isnt an attitude you would often see with the contractors nowadays.I know I have to use Jason again for any plumbing work. Like I said, I almost felt fortunate to have him as my plumber! 6 stars!

A quote was provided a couple hours later and the repair was scheduled two days later and Jay completed it faster than expected that day.Jay has 13 years of experience and took the time to describe the issues, the options for the repair, and the steps for the option I chose. The first plumber did not accurately diagnose or correct the problem, so flooding would still be an issue once water turned back on. The owner of M & D ensured our problem was quickly and temporarily repaired for the weekend ahead until thorough diagnostics and a full repair could be scheduled for first thing Monday. From a scheduling and financial perspective, their quote, plan, and actual charges were fair and reasonable for what was required. They are not the cheapest, but our first plumber proved the adage, you get what you pay for. I have used M & Ds services again since and have found their tech, Jay, to be respectful, helpful, patient, more than competent, and thorough. WOW! Amazed! A few years ago I was up to my eyeballs managing cancer treatments when all of a sudden Murphy’s law decided I had something else which needed to preoccupy my time. Not sure the reason for the diversion but my downstairs neighbor reluctantly informed she had a leak coming through her ceiling of the bathroom which was not long before remodeled. I immediately called the plumbers we regularly used here in our old circa.1930’s building. They came but were puzzled after looking at what it would take to repair a breach in the junction of lead pipe draining from my tub. It was located in a precarious and hard to reach location. They called in their big gun project main overlord guy. Steve came out and started speaking of tearing up my entire tile floor breaking up the concrete under pad and starting afresh.Well you can image my reaction. I have one bathroom and remember I am going through chemo and radiation treatments. I knew I could bite the bullet and push through but since the issue and solution was beyond a simple repair I decided to call my homeowners insurance. They sent someone who reviewed the issue. After hearing what Steve had planned the adjusted said “Listen, I am going to give you a name of someone who I’ve seen resolve stuff like this. He is from the New Orleans and southern Louisiana area. They have a lot of buildings down there that settle and he seems to know what to do”. Joy exploded with “OMG, I moved to Charlotte from down there back in ‘84. I have a good feeling about this guy already and feel he will definitely know what to do”.Chad Moore came and it didn’t take very much time for a solution to emerge. He addressed it and set a solution in place for one of his guys to execute. It was just as my gut had spoken. He knew the to approach to take and it was the best solution and yielded final results which were a fraction of the other companies assessment. That other company is an old well established Charlotte institution which native Charlotteans have used for years. I recently heard they were acquired by a big remodeler in town. Needless to say they ceased to be our go to people. I live in an very old established neighborhood in town and believe me, I give out Chads M&D Plumbing name and number when ever I hear a neighbor in need. Unfortunately I’ve heard recently they are calling him directly and since that time have changed the number I now give out. Now it’s to the main office.No other company is needed for your plumbing needs. This one is the right one. They guarantee their work. These folks installed a gas line for our new range. Good work; price struck me as high but not totally out of line. When we switched back to electric, we asked them to remove the riser that came up through the floor, so it didn’t interfere with the new rage position. They sent two men for a one man job and charged me $500 to cut a pipe and cap off the supply line, a 20 minute job. I agreed because we were under time pressure, but I feel outrageously gouged and will never call them again.Follow up: top management called me to follow up. Agreed price not correct. Made an appropriate adjustment. That’s good customer service.

My first experience in trying to schedule MD Plumbing did not go as I would have liked, however they were further recommended to me by the company I was using to do the drywall repair in my house.The owner came out to my home, and apologized for the previous experience. He was polite, knowledgeable, and overall made me feel very comfortable about the project. After scheduling the pipe install I found the plumbers that came to my house did a great job. They ran into some issues with routing the piping which probably could have been solved with cutting more and bigger holes in my house, but instead worked with me every step of the way to minimize the demo needs.Were about 4 months out from the project now and everything is working great. I have no complaints and am overall glad I went with MD Plumbing for my home repipe. I would recommend their service to others.

I can’t say enough good things about the people and the work that was done on my plumbing. The reason I gave four stars is because the cost was way overpriced. For the amount of work that was needed (which was very little) the cost didn’t reflect the time. I’d just make sure to get other estimates before hand.
