    Fabulous experience all-around. Ive been working on finishing my basement almost entirely DIY, only hiring out things like plumbing and electric. Reached out to a few electricians including Peterson for quotes, and the extra mile they went won my business. Spent several hours walking through the basement with both my wife and I discussing in very intricate detail what we wanted to be sure it could be accomplished right the first time and at the price he quoted without surprises. A true family business, they all were on-hand and had the rough-in knocked out in very short order. A huge plus to us was Josh not having any issue waiting 2 months between rough-in and trim-out while we DIYd all drywall, and his willingness to have an open conversation on how we could best facilitate his work and meet inspection expectations based on his prior experiences. Though they werent the cheapest quote we received, they made up for it by offering a perfect balance of doing things right and eliminating any chance of future problems all while still being fair on price.Bottom line: Could you find someone less expensive? Yes. Will you find someone who completes the job to a higher standard, not requiring call-backs, and without gouging on cost? I highly doubt it.

    I am so thankful for Peterson Electric. We had our electricity go out not too long ago. Peterson Electric was the only company that was willing to come out and fix it that day. Unfortunately, the job turned into a much bigger and more difficult job than originally thought. Joshua did an amazing job of explaining what was happening every step of the way. He is very knowledgeable, and you know you are getting the highest quality work with him. I am extremely confident that the problem was not only fixed, but fixed the right way. Joshua cares about the customer, and he cares about the work. I cannot say enough good things about Peterson Electric, I 100% recommend Peterson Electric if you are having an electric problem.

    Joshua and his family came and replaced a bunch of outdated lights, installed an outlet for a mounted TV, added a washer/dryer outlet, and helped us install a pretty large pendant light that we could not have done on our own! They were amazing to work with - fast, professional, and they did a great job. Joshua took the time to explain things to us and was so, so helpful. I would recommend them for any project!

    We had a wonderful experience with Joshua. We had originally called to look into possibly upgrading our circuit panel to one with more amperage in order to accommodate a hot tub and possibly adding AC to our house. Joshua was very fast to respond and able to quickly get us on the schedule for a free consultation. Not only did he have a near encyclopedic recall of the electric code, Joshua was also quick to help us realize we didnt need to upgrade the panel, saving us quite a bit of money. Joshua has been doing this a long time and was clearly a highly trained and competent electrician.He was also instrumental in helping us find the best location in our yard for our hot. There was a mess of buried utilities we had to deal with which he really helped us navigate.We contracted Joshua to hook up the electric for our hot tub. His work was excellent and timely but more importantly, he took the time on a few different occasions to talk with us on the phone to help us understand and develop the best plan for where everything was going to go.It was a pleasure working with Joshua and we wouldnt hesitate to hire him again or recommend his services.

    Joshua is a great electrician. The first time I called him was in December a few years ago to help fix my mistakes of trying to install a ceiling fan. He came over the same evening.I called again to install another ceiling fan a year later and him and his son punched the hoke in the ceiling and had the fan ready for use in less than 2 hours.Today I had him stop by to fix a faulty light and he came a day early to get the job done.I highly recommend Peterson Electric!

    We’ve worked with Peterson Electric a couple different times now.... and will continue to recommend and work with them in the future.Bought a new home a couple years ago and needed a large amount of electrical work in order to be fully safe and up to code. We knew the work wouldn’t be cheap, but both my husband and I felt super confident and at peace in doing business with this company.They were always on time and got the job done quickly and efficiently (and clean!). Good communication and extremely knowledgeable. Josh was super upfront and honest with us in what needed to be done.We were in our home painting while Josh did some work and we enjoyed talking to him and hearing some hilarious stories from all his years in the electrical field.You can’t go wrong with Peterson Electric!

    I highly recommend Peterson Electric! Joshua quickly responded to my service call. He listened to the issues/problems we were having, asked some pointed diagnostic questions and let me know his initial thoughts over the phone. He told me his hourly rate and availability then followed up and confirmed via text.Day of the repairs he showed up on time. I showed him and his daughter my house and where the issues were. He quickly diagnosed an outlet and switch. Then they quickly installed a new ceiling fan. They were careful in the house; putting down canvas drop cloths prior to ladders and performing work. They were so tidy you never would have known they were here.Prior to using Peterson I had 3 different electricians over my house. Id never let any of them back based on their quality of work.I seriously cant recommend these guys enough!

    Peterson Electric Rocks!I had Joshua Peterson come out and look at a problem I was having with my electrical outlet. He fixed it in quick order and did not charge me very much. Because I was so pleased with his integrity and help, I decided to have Peterson Electric back again to put remotes on my two ceiling fans. Joshua and his wife, Alisha, who works with him were professional and efficient. My ceiling fan remotes work excellently and have for some time now.     I called Josh in the middle of a work day to get a quote to install an outlet for my new EV. He was able to fit me in the same day! He came over, took a look, and obviously knows his business very well. Hes also very personable and I enjoyed talking with him.We agreed to an installation day and time. He was great at communicating when he was going to arrive. He and his son got to my house and started work. They were so quick and professional. They worked around the house painters, who were also there. It was a bit chaotic and they handled it like champs.This is a small, family-owned business. They are professional, kind, and easy to work with. They did the installation in a short amount of time and it looks/works great.     I called Peterson Electric after lightning had hit our house and knocked the power out. Joshua and Alisha arrived at our house shortly after my call and during Joshuas investigation of the damage, he discovered a small, smoldering fire in our attic. Without hesitation he climbed into the smoke filled space and put it out. Shortly after we had the Fire Dept on site to assist. Joshua and Alisha stayed for 2 more hours as we waited for the Fire Dept to conclude their work and allow us back into the home. Once Joshua could resume his problem solving, he quickly got the lights on, assessed the condition of our appliances and HVAC systems, and fixed a few blown outlet problems along the way. All total they spent nearly 3.5 hours at our home, stretching into the evening hours, for what was to Joshua and Alisha about 40 minutes of actual work. Our gratitude goes out to the Joshua for his quick actions in dealing with a fire problem that could have resulted in far more damage than there was. Also their professionalism and expertise in diagnosing the problems from the lightning strike got us back up and running quickly. I will not hesitate to recommend Peterson Electric to anyone.     Peterson Electric has been consistent and professional through every step of our projects. We originally had Joshua out for a small fix on our porch light and some internal switches. When we began building out our basement we didnt hesitate to call Peterson Electric again. Our project has stretched out over the months, but Joshua has been flexible with scheduling and consistent with his work. Our basement electrical work passed inspection the first time because Joshua knows the codes inside and out and does a clean, well thought out job.

    Im a first time homeowner, and this has been the best experience Ive had with a services company. Professional, timely, and if requested, willing to offer some great advice.I contacted Peterson Electric to replace a fan located on a challenging, 15 foot celling. Scheduling was easy and professional, and they were willing to answer any questions I had and address my concerns about the intricacies of the project.The tech arrived on time, and made quick work of the challenging situation, professionally installing the fan, ensuring it was mounted properly, and even helping me reinforce an overhead beam located near the fan (something I had been unable to do because of the hight of the ceiling.)

    Joshua and Alisha are really awesome. They have done work for me at two different homes I have lived in. Both times the work was finished in a timely manner with very reasonable cost. This time however they really saved my family. While doing some outside work Alisha noticed a gas smell around my gas meter. They where sure to let me know right away. As soon as they left I called the gas company and they came right out. Sure enough, I had a gas leak and they immediately changed out the meter. I really like this company. I feel they are honest and decent people. I trust them. If you need quality work, timely responses and trustworthy people then this should be your number one choice!

    Joshua performed one the most thorough electrical inspections on a house we were about to buy, and saved us from massive costs. This guy is the best.     It is very refreshing when a professional tells you he will be at your place at a specific time and actually shows up! Joshua and his wife Alicia are a wonderful team. Alicia comes to assist with tools and retrieving what he needs from the van, and Joshua is very knowledgeable about all aspects of wiring, even has advanced knowledge about RVs and hot tubs.     Joshua was awesome. He came out to add 240 for a hot tub install. He was prompt and responsive to text and email. He explained the different options we could go with. We also discussed him coming back to do additional work, specifically what he could do to an issue I had with breakers tripping whenever I used my table saw and other tools.Again, when the date came up for our appointment he sent a text message the day before as well as the day of to let me know he was on the way. This second round involved updating our panel and adding a reel for an extension so I dont have to move all of my equipment around to plug them in. He also installed 2 lights in my garage as he noticed how light deficient it is . The difference in the lighting alone is amazing!I have some other items I will need help with In the future and will definitely give him a call when I am ready to do so.

    We contracted with Peterson Electric, along with Xcel Energy, to switch our home electrical service from overhead wires to buried wires. We live in a home built in the 1890s which required special care. Joshua Peterson was required to carry out the required modifications to our home electrical boxes and wiring in order to connect to the large underground cables installed by Xcel and to remove the old mast connecting hardware. This was a one-day job that required close cooperation with Xcel personnel.First of all, Joshua, along with his apprentice daughter, showed up on time. Next, he analyzed the situation and immediately saw a few errors on Xcels part and fixed them. In particular, he had to dig a new trench near the house because Xcel had dug the wiring trench in the wrong place. He then completed the job of placing and wiring in new 8 foot ground rods, replacing and moving the meter box, connecting the underground cables to the meter box, bringing our breaker box up to code, installing a new surge protector, and cleaning up the site.Im a retired electrical engineer and was very impressed with Joshuas knowledge and professionalism. He exhibited complete knowledge of the latest codes. He also explained the possible options available along with a recommendation for our configuration that would minimize our costs. I will choose Peterson Electric first for any and all electrical work that we may need in the future. Oh, and Joshua did all of the required work for less than half the cost of the next lowest bidder!

    Joshua Peterson is about as honest as it gets. I have a chiropractic office in Loveland and was looking at installing a new x-ray machine when I met him. I had already had 2 electricians come and look at what I needed and both told me that it would be no problem to install the service to the machine. Something about the other 2 electricians told me that I needed to get one more opinion, so I called Peterson Electric. When he and his wife came to my office, they did a thorough inspection of my service panel and compared that what we already had running in the office, between HVAC and different pieces of equipment, and what we needed for the new machine. He determined that we did not have enough amperage coming in to supply everything adequately and took the time to explain to me why he made the recommendations that he did. Everything he said made sense and made me question why neither of the other electricians mentioned this problem. Ultimately, his diligence and knowledge helped me to make an informed decision. Because of this, it saved me a lot of hassle and about $8000. I ended up having to go a completely different direction with the equipment that I was purchasing, which meant that I didnt end up having to have any new circuitry installed. Mr. Peterson takes the time to understand what you want, what you need, and what is required to accomplish this. His knowledge and skill level are unsurpassed, as far as I am concerned.

First he called me on the weekend (I placed the service call late Friday) to gather the facts to better understand the issue.     The thing that impressed me the most about Peterson Electric was there integrity. After being left in the lurch by another local electric company (having to schedule an appointment 2 weeks in advance because they were soooooo busy only to have them not show up with no communication and have to reschedule in another 2 weeks because they were soooooo busy), I came across Peterson. Joshua was so easy to work with. He scheduled me in within the next couple days, gave me a window in which to expect him (rather than this “we’ll be there sometime between 7am and 7pm nonsense), and communicated when he was about 20 minutes away. After such a lousy experience elsewhere, I was very pleased and relieved by Joshua’s professionalism. Not only is his scheduling practices heads and shoulders above others, but his knowledge, work, and problem solving are also outstanding. He has a lifelong customer in both me and my own clients.     I called Peterson Electric on a Friday afternoon after blowing a circuit breaker with my vacuum cleaner in a townhome I had just moved into less than a week before. I had been unable to get the breaker to reset. They were at my home bright and early at 8am on Monday morning. I found them to be professional, thorough and very knowledgeable. Mr. Peterson explained everything as he went along, including the correct way to reset the circuit breaker. He actually found three separate problems, including that my vacuum cleaner was dirty which was causing an energy spike. Embarrassing! I found their costs to be reasonable for the time spent and actions taken. I will call Peterson Electric again!!!

    Extremely satisfied…. Sunday morning we had low amperage in our house, some of our appliance going on and off lights flickering. Called the local power company who sent a tech out and stated we had to replace the breaker under the meter. Peterson Electric was the only company that answered the phone.     Josh is awesome! I own a small restaurant in Estes, and had some issues with breakers popping. I was quoted by another electrician that I would need a new box with plenty of extra circuits, but was about 2 weeks out on scheduling. Josh asked if he could pop in that same night and take a look.. Needless to say, he rerouted most of my equipment, doing all the math that I hadnt been able to figure out, and solved my breaker issues without adding anything. He cured my headache in my business, while saving me thousands of dollars that I would have wasted with the other guy that didnt want to stop and think it through.Then, I signed a lease on a new location in Ft Collins. This shop had most of its electricity tied up with an old FroYo machine setup. I needed these broke down and ran into several individual circuits throughout the kitchen of the new shop. Exactly how doing business with someone should be.I have a home in Denver that Im selling and needed to get a few inspection items done.     Amazing! A week ago I requested bids from local electricians on a rewiring job to run a dedicated line to our finished basement. Sounds simple enough....However, apparently not the case. Not every electriction thought that it could even be done unless we tore out massive dry wall, or moved the sauna in which the line was going to. NOPE...Not doing that! Only Josh from PE was confident it could be done and without much damage. He gave us the worst case scenario - His prices were fair, he was extremely knowledgable and took the time to educate us on not only that job, but others we had in mind as well.     My wife and I recently bought a house in Loveland and knew the panel needed to replaced, what we didnt realize is once you touch the inside panel you must upgrade the meter box and being Loveland is also the utility provider it is kinda a process of inspections and jumping through hoops. I called multiple electricians, one quoted me a low starting price but then sent over a additional cost list, plus he wouldnt come out to even look at the job. I had one quote me a crazy low price but didnt mention the outside meter box or even the city coming out to inspect the line before the permit was pulled. Im sure if I had gone with either of those lower quotes it would have cost me more in the long run. Josh came out looked at my job and knew the house as he quoted the job 3 years prior for the old homeowner. What impressed me was he knew the codes, the regulations and gave me a quote on the spot which he stuck to. The job was multiple days and everyday he showed up on time did what he was supposed to do and cleaned up after himself.
