I recently had Mr. Electric of Lombard out to do a pretty complicated job, which included installing a new GFI switch and a Ring floodlight through an overhead soffit with EXTREMELY limited space. After getting quotes from local recommendations via Facebook groups, Nextdoor, and sorting through Google reviews, most of the electricians either made the job sound way too difficult, tried to overcharge me, or flat out admitted it couldn’t be done. But Mr. Electric? They were a whole different story.The tech, Erik, came out and made the job look easy peasy. While others acted like it would be a major project, Erik got it done the right way and for the most competitive price I found. I had zero worries that the work would be done right and up to code. Erik showed up in a company van that looked like it had all the tools from a futuristic movie set, which gave me confidence they were fully prepared in comparison to other companies who came in no more qualified than a corner cutting handyman. The whole team from Erik to Brad and Linda in customer service was just great to work with.If you’re getting quotes, make sure to include Mr. Electric of Lombard. Their pricing is ultra-competitive, the service is PREMIUM, and they just flat out know what they’re doing when electrical work paired with the safety of your home is of the highest of priorities. I’m confident you’ll end up choosing them. Thank me later.

Erik our electrician from Mr. Electric was great! He fixed some previous sub par work that another electrician didn’t do correctly and complete some other work. He was polite and professional. He informed us some of what we wanted done wasn’t necessary, so he saved us some money. A good election is hard to find. Mr. Electric is good one.

Ivan did a great job of diagnosing and fixing the electrical problem with my bathroom light switches. He gave me a reasonable estimate before starting work and the final charge was what he estimated. He corrected a wiring problem from the original contractor when the bathroom was remodeled several years ago and was done in about an hour. Thank you Ivan and Mr. Electric.

I needed a complete 200A service panel replacement in my home because the old panel failed. I requested quotes from 4 local electricians. All the quotes were in the same general range but I chose Mr. Electric because their technician, Ivan, did the best job of explaining the work he would do, what was required to comply with code and he offered a couple of suggested options. I also felt Mr. Electric was the most professional of the companies I had contacted having a great website and Company trucks.Mr. Electric provided their business license and insurance (I’m experienced in reviewing those for contractors) and I accepted their proposal.Ivan and Sergio came at the appointed time and completed the work to my complete satisfaction. The panel wiring was spectacularly organized (in my amateur opinion). There were no upcharges for the work. Ivan and Sergio removed all the old parts and cleaned up completely before they left.I give Ivan, Sergio and Mr. Electric-Lombard 5 Stars and would recommend.

After receiving a fair & honest estimate and meeting them, I felt my 96 year old home would be in good hands with their expertise. Several outlets and switches were updated and light fixtures were installed. I appreciated the care they took to keep my home clean with wearing booties over their shoes and cleaning up prior to leaving. You get a sense after speaking with them that they take pride in their work and want the client to be satisfied- which I am. We had several electricians come out after seeing flames and sparks in our electrical panel. The initial investigation by Erik at Mr. Electric was handled really well, the price was right, and we just had him back to do all the upgrading and fixing. We love how the company includes a photo and name of the person coming over in advance of an appointment (great safety feature that more service companies ought to provide). Erik did a great job and other than having upgraded systems and equipment, youd never know hed been in our home - very professional, courteous, careful and caring. I was impressed with my experience with Mr. Electric. I called on a Saturday to schedule an appointment. Someone answered the phone professionally, took all my info, and scheduled me for Monday. On Monday, I got a text letting me know that someone was en route. When Erik got here, he quickly understood what I was looking to get done - install electric to power a wall tablet. Instead of just taking my money and installing a box in an awkward location, he took the time to investigate if existing low-power wires in that area could be repurposed. He found a $10 adapter online that I could use that would end up being a much more polished look than a new big electrical outlet... for a fraction of the price. I didnt owe him anything, and now Ive got a better setup than I expected. I look forward to using Mr. Electric of Lombard for all future electric needs based on this experience.

We’ve been having a problem with a short circuit in our garage that occurred only when it rained, and getting a technician here to diagnose the problem during or after a rain storm was imperative (and impossible)…Until I reached Mr Electric!Their Electrician, Moctezuma, was at our house within two hours of my call to the company. He was on time, courteous, and diagnosed/fixed the problem in five minutes.
