    Called and spoke with Rick, the Office Manager, to get an estimate on having a bathroom light fixture installed. After determining it was a fair price, I inquired as to how soon we could schedule as I was hoping to have it done before the holidays. Much to my surprise and delight, they were able to accommodate me and schedule for that very same day!Matt came a few hours later and did a great job of installing the new fixture, answered all my questions, and was very courteous and professional.I would highly recommend Donatello Electric and will definitely use again for future projects.

    We have been using Donatello Electric for the past few years across many projects while renovating my brother’s house in Woodridge, and have been extremely pleased with the excellent quality of work and level of service. Everything from an entire new breaker box/fuses, installing indoor lights/outlets, installing outdoor outlets, and even hooking up a hot tub most recently with Matt and Joel. They have been able to do it all and have done impeccable work. We cannot recommend them highly enough for anyone looking to get electrical work done in the Chicagoland area. Truly one of the best in the area from our experience.

    These guys are the best. I called a few companies to get some quotes for electical work to install a new oven in a very old house. They were transparent with the pricing estimate on the initial phone call and were thorough enough to ask questions and investigate alternative solutions that were still compliant but would be able to save me nearly $1000 dollars which none of the other companies I called even attempted. The technician that came out was communicative, polite and knew his stuff. Its difficult to find an honest company these days with genuine people who care about their work and I am so pleased to have found them. I highly recommend them!

    We hired Donatello Electric to help us with a service upgrade this past year. The project ended up being much more challenging than we had originally thought (through no fault of Dons team). Don helped guide us through the whole way and the communication was fantastic. He and his team were very responsive and answered our questions exhaustively throughout the entire process. In the end we were very satisfied with the work and feel great about choosing Donatello Electric.

    I hired Donatello to install wiring for ceiling lights and ceiling fans in three bedrooms. When I initially called I spoke directly with the owner. He was very friendly and explained everything clearly. They have plenty of experience doing the job especially in my area so they didnt need to come out to give an estimate which I appreciated. He asked me a few questions and gave me a quote which was pretty competitive to other companies I looked into. The job was scheduled a few weeks out but everything went as promised. They even came in a little under the quote since he had padded a bit just in case. I definitely plan to hire them again.

    We had what I would call a few minor electrical issues to take care of so we waited until we could not stand it any longer and called Donatello. I was concerned that because these were several small tasks, they wouldn’t want to help but I was completely wrong. They set a time, promptly came out and fixed each item perfectly. The electrician (Matt) was great and made certain that everything was perfect. I will be using them again!

    I have used Donatello Electric for all of my electrical needs! They are so good at what they do! They have added recessed lights, installed ceiling fans and scones. Although highly recommended by Innovative Flooring, another great local business, my first call to Donatello Electric confirmed was a totally professional operation. Rick, office manager, patiently discussed all of my concerns after which he asked to upload some pictures and additional information, he the explained some options then set up an appointment with a journeyman electrician; he was most courteous and extremely knowledgeable, provided a rough estimate, and even after my service call, followed up with me. Matt, the electrician with literally decades of both commercial and residential experience, repaired all of my issues, was very creative in using a few fixtures on hand, made several suggestions for safety and code compliance, was timely in completing the tasks; polite, expert, and thorough, Matt is surely one of the best electricians out there.     I highly recommend Donatello Electric for all your electrical needs! I needed some work done due to correct a code violation by the previous property owner. Don did great job fact finding the problem and went above and beyond and worked with my villages inspector/ code enforcer to make sure the job was going to be done right the first time.     Had a great experience with Matt from Donatello Electric. Had a burning smell coming from an outlet in the kitchen in addition to needing quotes for two small projects.     Everything from scheduling to communication was a breeze. Don was friendly and helpful, and genuinely cared about my project - offering his own insights and recommendations. The electrician who came to my house, Matt Lopez, was a consummate worker. Efficient and knowledgeable. I love when tradesmen take pride in their work, and Matt did just that, diligently installing every wire and every screw, treating my house as if it was his own, even going so far as fixing poorly installed outlets that another electrician installed prior. I say all this to make the point: not all electricians are created equal, and it appears as though Donatello Electric is a massive cut above the rest. Suffice it to say, I’ve found my electricians moving forward.

    We hired Donatello electric company to fix a problem we had with old Florencent light fixtures in our basement. They are an Amazing company!!     We called Donatello Electric this morning with an intermittent problem. My husband spoke to Rick, who after hearing my husbands description of the problem, said it sounded like a Com Ed problem and we should call them first. If they could not find a problem outside Rick would schedule someone to come out and troubleshoot. 2 hours later, Com Ed found a problem with a neutral switch and fixed it. Ricks honesty and suggestion saved us money. We have found a new electrician for any problems going forward and will recommend Donatello to all our family and friends. Thank you.

    The work was completed as ordered and on time. Electricians were courteous and knowledgeable. We have a 1907 house so there were gremlins and Donatello found them and corrected. We had a generator bypass installed so we can connect to main panel. Rewired existing panel and installed a surge protector too. Most amazing thing was the office could be reached at all times on first call and provided updates on parts! What are the chances these days ? I referred them to my mother in law( I like her).

Had them do a complete rewire of our basement renovation, they did a great job of not only meeting our needs but also provided lighting design suggestions and going above and beyond in everything they did. We never had to to worry about them being on time, and they always managed to find a spot in their schedule for us for some of the small items. Don himself was even present for all of our inspections and helped in walking the inspector through all of the work. Him and his entire crew were very knowledgeable and also willing to take the time to walk you through all of the work they were doing.I will absolutely use them for any work I need in the future, and will be my first call on the next big project as well!

    Donatello Electric is the best. I got a competitive bid from them to install a Tesla Gen 3 charger. I went with them because I went with them once before, and they have great reviews. The thing is though unlike basically everyone else their bids are designed to be their high end, and theyll lower the bid in the end if it didnt cost them that much. In the end I paid 40% of what the original bid was because the job didnt have any of the worst case scenarios pop up. Almost all other companies pocket that difference. These guys dont. Go with them. Its worth it!

    I am using Donatello Electric for my basement project. It’s about 1100-1200 SF so it’s like a small house not just a room. They met with me ahead of time, reviewed the plans with me, and have been at the inspections to go through everything with the inspector from the city. That’s very useful. We have passed all our inspections so far, and they have made good advice about how to space the recessed cans. They are always on time, come when they say they are coming (seems unusual in construction!) and they are easy to work with. They are not the least expensive but neither are they the most expensive. Their pricing is fair. Their work is professional. And the inspector is happy! Thank you!!

Thanks again.Additional Services on separate occasion:We had a serious pool issue where the GFCI blew in a thunderstorm. Bad things can happen to a dormant pool in July if not repaired to keep the water circulating. Don from Donatello has a pretty hefty backlog of work that time of year but managed to get someone out to repair and fit it into the schedule. Thanks for putting up with all the frantic phone calls and working your magic.

    TWICE Don rescued a damsel in distress! When power was going to cut off due to a faulty meter, Don was the first electrician to say he could come out asap and did. All was restored between him and the utility company and at a VERY fair cost. Yesterday while doing laundry, I looked up thank goodness to see sparks coming out of my circuit box. I called Don & again he changed his plan & resolved this issue with utility company asap. I cannot recommend enough Donatello Electric. Even followed up with a call to be sure all was good. Service and caring you just dont typically find.

    I cannot speak highly enough of this company. We recently purchased a home built in the 1970s in Lisle. They have helped us out on multiple projects. No matter if it was a larger project like updating the fuse box or smaller like hanging new light fixtures they were timely, responsive, and professional. One night, a quarter of our house just went dark. My wife contacted them the next morning and by the afternoon they were out decoding the pig-tailed wiring. Lights back on that night.     In February of 2023 we called Donatello due to a severe issue with our electrical panel. It was a large job, costly by nature, and required immediately replacing. They came out free of charge to quote us the time and cost of the job. Matt was honest, detailed and very thorough. Donatello was direct and honest to tell us they couldn’t get a technician to get our job done as soon as it ought to be dealt with (their words directly). They referred us a great local business that ended up doing the replacement.Now(September 2023) our baby was about 4 -5 weeks from being born and I decided I wanted to have a ceiling fan replaced and fix a few switches. Electricity is not something to mess around with and I wanted the piece of mind bringing out baby home. Donatello made an appointment for us within 10 days to: swap a light to ceiling fan, connect a fan to a light switch and quote us for an exhaust fan issue in the baby’s bathroom.Again, Matt came out and in less than 2 hours had all three concerns of ours repaired/dealt with. He was incredibly clean and as usual, gave us advice on how to prepared or purchase a new exhaust fan if we chose to do it in the future. As always I’m very satisfied and appreciative of his work, especially that or baby’s arrival was drastically closer than we had anticipated.

    I contacted Donatello Electric to handle a large electrical repair that I needed done immediately. Don answered on the first ring and explained that he is very busy right now and does not have time to take on the job. However, he gave me the number for another electrician (competitor!) and told me I can contact him back if that electrician is too busy. Well, the other electrician was too busy! So, I texted Don and he gave me yet another referral to a competitor. This referral ended up working out and he was able to do the job.     Had to get a 240V outlet installed in my garage. Called one of the bigger names for a quote, which seemed a bit high to me. Called Donatello Electric and was told the quote wasnt that bad, they would be similar, and it all comes down to how much time the job takes. They were very honest over the phone, so I decided that if I am paying someone this money any way I would rather it be them. Set a date for later that week, the guys came, installed the outlet, upgraded my circuit breakers (which were on recall from a company that went out if business while ago, unbeknownst to us having just moved in), and with all of that came in a few hundred dollars lower than the quote by the other guys.I highly recommend Donatello Electric as they do great work, are very professional and seem honest, and give a great value. I will be calling them with any future electrician needs.
