Over the last two days, they installed new breakers, ran wiring through our yard to our greenhouse and shed, added outdoor outlets around our home, and even hung a new light fixture. You should definitely call them for electrical work! The entire process was simple and so well managed. From the beginning we worked with Brandon, great guy and full of info and insight. The pricing was great, fair, the estimate was thorough and the scheduling was easy. The work that was done was amazing and I want to thank Rafael and Max personally who were incredible for all their help. They worked so hard in the heat that I left a cooler out back with ice and drinks. They wouldn’t even let me buy them lunch, I offered many times. Once inside the process was smooth and easy. We LOVE Southern Electrical. We have used them twice and will continue to in the future. Brandon is great to work with and is very quick to respond via email or text. Ernesto and Rafael were amazing! They ran wire from our fuse box inside all the way across our basement to the outside to outdoor boxes for our hot tub and future pool and only cut this small hole in our ceiling! Look at the size of the wires going into the outdoor boxes!!! So much effort on their part to save us patching and painting!

Rafael and Max came for two separate jobs recently. A Wall charger which required a 100 amp subpanel. As well as wall fishing cat6 home runs throughout the house. In both cases they brought their expertise, listening skills, and patience. Were really happy with the results. Their work was up to code and approved by the county. Were so glad we went with these guys. Other electricians we got quotes from could have been a disaster. The Home office folks did a really great job communicating throughout the bidding process.Highly recommend Southern.

MUST READ: We moved into our new Purcellville home in late 2023. Southern Electric was the electrical subcontractor that built our house so we decided to contract them for upgrades once we moved in. Since 10/23 weve contracted with their service department four times for anything from interior light fixture installation, powering a hot tub, outdoor receptacles, and a home salon with industrial lighting, fixtures, and receptacles. Their salesman, Enrique worked with my wife to create an industrial vibe in her salon with commercial and vintage looking conduits and receptacles. Vinny and Moises are now regulars at our house to the point our Labrador sits at their feet while they work. Southern Electrical Services sets the bar high for prompt and quality service in the field, great communication administratively, a seamless invoicing system, and knowledgeable sales representatives that visit with you to discuss your needs. We wont look further than Southern Electric; theyre our guys.

Travis is fantastic! He installed an EV level 2 charger at our home. He was prompt, professional, kind ( I have an energetic dog), explained each step of the process, efficient, and went above and beyond to fix a draft coming in at the electrical box that I was unaware of. This is the second project we have used Southern Electrical for and we are extremely pleased with everything. Brandon is our service manager - we want to thank him as well for his professionalism and taking extra good care of us.

I called Southern Electrical to install an exterior outlet for my home. Their technician Travis, was very friendly and professional as I showed him my electrical panel and where I wanted the box located. I let him know I really wanted 2 outlets, but was concerned about the cost so may need to schedule the second one for another time. He was able to get both installed quickly and efficiently saving me time and money! He did a wonderful job right down to the last detail. And to make things even better, they offer discounts for seniors and military! Working with Travis was a great experience. His customer service was excellent. Its nice to see someone who enjoys their job and does it well.

Brandon was amazing! We needed last minute service and he bent over backwards to schedule us as soon as possible. Reasonably priced , we needed a custom setup for a drying barn. They worked with my husband and came up with a plan on the fly. Months later we wanted to say, the drying barn performed perfectly and the custom setup Southern Electric did exceeded all expectations! 6 out of 5 stars if I could. We will ALWAYS use Southern Electric for future projects or anything around our property. Highly recommend and would use Southern Electric again. They were able to send a tech to my house within about 48 hours. Mark quickly diagnosed issues with multiple exterior outlets and light fixtures that had no power. He found a hidden GFI the previous owners covered with drywall that was tripped and needed to be replaced. Everything fixed within a couple hours and reasonably priced.

Brandon came out and gave me an estimate to run a line for a hot tub. Very polite and professional. A few days later the owner called me and followed up and thanked me for being a first responder. It’s important to me that I support local businesses that support our community. So that meant a lot to me. The guys that came out to do the work were also very polite. They had to cut a few holes in the drywall and were very careful and covered up my furniture with tarps. The fished job looked nice and clean. Highly recommend Southern Electrical. Will use them in the future for my electrical needs.

I have had multiple excellent experiences with Southern Electrical and would recommend them to anyone needing electrical services in the Northern VA area. I came across them because the previous owners of my home hired them to address with some electrical issues that were discovered during the home inspection when we were buying the house. Southern did a nice job with that work, so I decided to call them up when I needed some lamp sconces wired and installed as part of a living room remodeling project. Again, they did a fantastic job (unfortunately don’t remember the names of the specific electricians that did the work but they were great). Most recently, they sent Mark to help replace about 20 receptacles/outlets which had become loose over the years and wouldn’t hold plugs anymore. Once more, the work was done professionally, within a reasonable price and time frame. Brandon is always helpful with quotes/estimates and Erica is always friendly and professional with scheduling. Again, Southern is top notch and you should definitely check them out if you need electrical work performed.

Southern Electric was great for me. They did the wiring in my new home as well as installed a great room ceiling fan (20ft ceilings) a few months later. I purchased the fan through them and when they arrived to install it we realized we had picked the wrong metal to match our house. It was entirely our fault, but Southern Electric swapped it out, no problem, and came back to install the new model a few weeks later. No additional fees.

Southern Electrical Services Company was hired by my contractor to install all of the electric to my addition 7 years ago.I have had emergency work done by another electrician since then, to repair damage caused by lightning strike and as a result needed further more extensive repairs. After getting several estimates, Southern Electric was the obvious choice, not only because of the prices that they offered, but because of the professional way in which they responded to my all questions and offered all details relating to the work that they proposed. I have a unique view point because both of my parents are electricians and my mother is an electrical inspector in Pennsylvania. Although John Anderson was answering questions that I was asking, the actual questions and the final approval came from them. They were also very pleased with the work after completion of service. I had an excellent experience dealing with the front office staff as well as the man that came to my home to do all the repairs. I wouldnt consider using another company for any of my future electrical needs.

I recently had Southern Electrical Services perform an electrical outlet, switch, and junction box audit on an older home. After completing the audit, they provided a prioritized list of items that needed to be addressed along with a work cost estimate. Southern Electrical Services came back promptly to complete the highest priority items. The electrician, Randy, was on time, professional and completed the tasks in a timely manner, which involved the replacement of a number of switches and outlets that were damaged or functioning poorly. I would recommend them, they were not inexpensive, but they were responsive and a fair price for the value of the service.

We needed to install a charger for an electric vehicle (EV). The charger required a high amperage 240 volt line that needed to be run from the electrical panel in the basement to the garage on the other side of the house. We received similar price quotes from a number of different companies but decided to chose Southern Electric Services for these reasons: 1) Southern quickly responded to our request for a quote; 2) Derek, who came out to our house to work-up the quote, was very knowledgeable, professional, and friendly, 3) Southern made the job easier by ordering the EV charger and including the charger in the price quote, 4) Scheduling the charger installation was quick and easy, 5) the team that installed the charger worked quickly, were friendly, and did a very professional job.Overall we are very happy with the work done by Souther Electrical Services and would enthusiastically use them again for electrical work in our house.

We had a really terrible experience with the over priced FH Furr. They blew up my brand new ceiling fan’s fan control by wiring it up all wrong and when that happened, they went to blame the manufacturer’s of the fan for a bad fan control. I lost power in my first floor due to that and then they pretended as if they were doing me a favor by fixing back the power. I am still happy that all that happened because that’s when I stumbled upon Southern Electrical Service and I saved money with them as well as felt like I was taken care of. I emailed them and got a response with a quote in 10 minutes. They booked me for an appointment right away. Everything was in a timely professional manner. My husband was home when the technicians came who were hardworking and professional. They came prepared and professionally removed my old ceiling fan and installed the new one all for a fair price. We really recommend SE service because of the experience we had with them.
