We tracked down Plumb Doctors after a few plumbers recommended by friends turned us down because they didnt service tankless water heaters. Weve since used them twice and I can highly recommend!Marc came out last year because our water wouldnt stay hot during showers. He showed up promptly, immediately diagnosed the issue as a faulty check valve, and had it replaced within minutes. He took the time to explain to us what he was doing and even showed us how to replace it ourselves in the future (plus how to flush our system) so we wouldnt have to pay for the same service again.We called Marc out again earlier this week because we thought we damaged our heater after we fumbled through some self-maintenance. He came out on time and quickly confirmed nothing was wrong. He then stayed another 20-30 minutes to answer all of our questions, even allowing us to record videos of him showing how to do some basic maintenance so we wouldnt always have to rely on a plumber.I dont believe theyre the cheapest but we found the pricing to be fair after getting comps from a few other places. More importantly, Plumb Doctor and Marc have always been reliable, professional, courteous, and friendly. I appreciate their transparency and willingness to explain and educate us on what theyre doing. I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone who needs help.

Great guys and great plumbers. They were the only service who would come out when our pipes froze in Jan 2024, they cut out a burst valve and got us back up and running quickly. Just had them out to replace a leaking main line, the bid was competitive, I feel assured by their work warranty, and they stood by the quote despite some rough terrain and troubleshooting.

Insinkerator Badger trash disposal was leaking. Unit was 11+ years old; it was time. Called up the docs and needed it expeditiously because my tenant was moving in the very next morning. They sent muh man, Josh, over and he was brilliant. Walked me through the diagnosis and required solution. Got all that was needed from his van, showed me what thorough repair/replacement experience is supposed to be like. Thanks a ton, Josh!The entire thing was most definitely on the pricey side but it needed to be done. I had no other viable options and was literally in the 11th hour. This Badger should last another 10+ years, hopefully.I highly recommend Plumb Docs and if you want a best-in-class experience, ask for Josh!!

Alex was amazing!! Our shower leak ended up requiring 3 visits because of parts we needed to order and an issue with the city water cutoff to our house, but Alex was very patient and responsive throughout the process. The visits were also accomplished in consecutive days. He made sure to leave us with a working shower between visits, foreseeing what may be necessary for the repair and not beginning the core of the repair until we had our other issues worked out. It was a complicated task with obstacles arising as more parts were removed from the shower, requiring a lot of specialized tools and knowledge. However, our bill in the end was just slightly higher than the original quote, he managed to fix everything without having to break our shower wall, and he explained what was going on throughout the process. We’ll definitely be calling again for future plumbing issues.

I’ve needed to call them in a few times for various water-related emergencies. They’re responsive, communicative, and have usually been able to diagnose and then repair the problem within a couple days, if not that same day. I can’t speak to how competitive they are cost-wise, since I haven’t wanted to shop around after they were so good the first time. I don’t feel like I’m being taken advantage of, though. Jami explains what the issue is, what the fix will be, and the quotes haven’t been outrageous. There’s that sinking feeling you get in your stomach when you see water somewhere it shouldn’t be, but knowing I can call Plumb Doctors makes that feeling ease up a little.

The City of Austin damaged the pipes on my side of the meter so I was responsible to repair it. I called literally a dozen different 24-hour plumbers only to be told, we dont have anyone available. Andrew at Plumb Doctors answered right away and drove from Round Rock down to South austin. He worked all night to get my water back on. Looks amazing, works great, and most importantly, he was incredibly patient explaining it to me. He worked with me on the cost and overall, probably the most amazing experience Ive ever had dealing with some one on an emergency repair. Great service and communication, Marc went above and beyond and check water pressure in the surrounding homes in the neighborhood, and recommended not replacing the previous valve, which would have cost a lot more money and the problem would not be fixed. He was prompt, professional, and knowledgeable with a “get it fixed” attitude.I was in the middle of refreshing/updating one of our bathrooms and encountered an issue with the replacement of the tub spout. Marc came out diagnosed the issue and offered up two suggestions to get it resolved(the first being contact the manufacturer-Moen, to inquire if the have the additional part to resolve the issue.). Needless to say, I contacted Moen and they sent the subject part promptly. There was no charge for the trip or Marc’s time. This was amazing service and I will definitely utilize them for all my future plumbing needs. As for plumbing fixtures…stick with Moen as they have a lifetime guarantee AND they stand by it!

Unfortunately its shot and he was so helpful with how to handle it with the manufacturer (as it wasnt the fault of the freeze since we didnt lose power).. Our bathroom smelled just terrible on a random basis. Of course it smelled just fine when Alex arrived. I thought the smell was coming from the shower drain. Alex did a thorough analysis and explained that he thought the toilet was the most likely culprit and a much cheaper repair than the cost of pursuing a drain problem. He found several problems with the initial toilet installation. He purchased the additional parts he needed and it was all finished in an hour or two. I liked that the job was priced by the nature of the repair plus parts. I didn’t have to worry about what the ultimate cost would be. Alex was patient and most helpful with my decision making. Very nice, knowledgeable, and professional person.

Andrew Kendall replaced the singular flex line to our hot water heater. The job was quick and he was very professional. Another company wanted to charge us 2K+ for a brand new hot water heater, even though it was not a necessity. I’m glad we called around and found Plumb Doctors. It’s good to see that there’s still honest people around in this world. I feel like there’s too many people out here adding on unnecessary services to make a quick buck. I called the manufacturer of the hot water heater and they even agreed that it did not need to be replaced, which is what made me call around. I wish this company years of prosperity and success.

I had roots in my pipe below my toilet. I wasn’t sure if it was growing from outside the pipe and into the pipe through the flange or up from a seam inside the pipe.I had a highly advertised, big name plumbing company take a look because I figured this was a major issue and they’d know how to handle it. I called Plumb Doctor as well (a second opinion). The first guy showed me pictures of roots he found growing through a seam in my pipe. Yikes! Major money (several thousand) and pain to repair. Josh with Plumb Doctors came out and showed me the camera directly. He looked all over and I asked home to focus closely on the area the last company showed me roots. Nothing! It looks perfectly fine. He didn’t try to scare me into doing unnecessary repair. He talked me through his thinking - the roots breached the space between the pipe and foundation. It’s not uncommon. He had some ideas how such a thing could happen and how to address it. Orders of magnitude cheaper (several hundred)! He came back the next day to do the work. He then talked me through his proposed approach again after more thought. And for even less money, he solved my problem. Time will tell if it’s a forever fix, but he’s confident it is. I trust him. I own rental properties as well and good honest plumbers are hard to find. Plumb Doctors earned the top spot in my contacts for plumbers today. Josh was great, professional, and efficient.

Great company. I only realized now, that I’ve had a lot of plumbers come by over the years to try to diagnose various issues, none of which were able to actually resolve my problems or even correctly diagnose my problem. We are so glad that Plumb Doctor’s came to the rescue when the drain to our new tub did not match up to the plumbing. Our floor had to be cut into and new plumbing had to match exactly which is a challenge for even experienced plumbers (another plumber said they’d have to cut through the ceiling from the downstairs living area!). Scott and Andrew were highly recommended for the job. Andrew came in and knew exactly what to do with ease, skill and professionalism. We feel so blessed and lucky to have him in to do the work. It turned out great and now we can enjoy our new tub!

Manny saved the day showing up after hours in the freezing cold and got us back up and running in no time with a temporary fix. We first used Plumb Doctors (then called Plumb Masters) two years ago when the toilet started backing up at our previous house. Joe came out, did a thorough assessment, and found we had root intrusion from a nearby live oak. Joe turned what was looking like a $50K+ problem (tunneling under the slab foundation) into $2K through a creative (and code-compliant) solution. Joes honesty, professionalism, and skill made him our go-to plumber.When we were looking to buy a new house last year, we had Joe come out to do a thorough inspection. He found that the main sewer line had settled and no longer ran at the right slope, causing sections to be completely flooded. He provided a reasonable quote as well as a video of the issue that we provided to the sellers who agreed to split the cost.We had the work completed last month, and it was completely seamless. Joe and his team came early and stayed late to ensure we werent without water for any more time than was needed. They were always in close contact so we knew the status of each stage of work as well as the inspection. Andrew also got involved along the way who is also fantastic.Finally, we had Joe and Andrew (of course) replace our water heater a few weeks ago which was also a great experience. They provided a quote in range of other similar shops and had the installation down to a science. In and out.We hope were at the end of our plumbing needs for a while, but if anything comes up, we know were in good hands!

The guys made it out with short notice for a job that was too big for a one man job. Had the leak detected and was off the water main and caused huge water bills for a few months. The leak was not easy to find and a full foot deeper than the water line should have been. While they were doing the work, they discovered a second leak between the water meter and main which is the citys responsibility. All in all. Great job. We should’ve never allowed a plumber to use galvanized piping. 7 years later and our water heater accumulated rust and needed to be sacked.
