We just had Pat leave our house. He did a fantastic job! He fixed our issue in no time and educated us on how we can keep up maintenance to prevent future incidents. Everything is working better than before. The day before we had Rooter Rangers out. We told them at the time of making the appointment that we needed someone to snake WITH a camera. They told us no problem. Late in the evening the guy showed up with no camera and said he would have to snake it and come back in a few days so instead of paying one fee we would have to pay twice. He wasnt here long and said the issue was fixed and we were good to do whatever and he would have the camera out in 2 days. Less than an hour after leaving we flooded again and worse. Say YES to Smith Sewer and NO to Rooter Rangers. GO PAT!

Smith’s Sewer was very responsive to my Saturday afternoon call seeking help with a clogged drain in my basement with water everywhere. No other company in town could help me for several days, but Smith’s Sewer was there within a few hours. Austin and Aaron were great at investigating, diagnosing, and fixing the issue—no small things when it comes to wonky plumbing in a nearly 100 year old house. And they were very pleasant and professional to boot. Thanks for helping me out of a jam (literally)!

Had a problem with our pipeline. The service person that came out to fix the problem was exceptionally professional and polite. His name was Aaron. Very knowledgeable and constantly cleaned up moving from one place to another. Its service workers like this is why companies get the calls. If I need the services again. Im going to request for Aaron. P.S. if I could have gave more stars. He would have gotten them.Had another issue come up! Called and requested Aaron. A 5 star 🌟 plus guy. He came out. But this time with another technician named Robin. Yes I went there. Batman and Robin. The only crime was in my pipes. They took care of business. Only thing I can suggest. One word Aaron. Hell bring Robin.

Had a blocked main sewer line on new years even. The tech was here within an hour of me making the call. He was informative telling me what he was doing and why, he worked efficiently to slove the problem it took two hours total due to severity of the blockage and distance that it was from the house. I will call them again for future needs.

Aaron is the man. just bought a house was an idiot and let vigilant home inspections do camera inspection from stack to street and those idiots actually only went from front yard to street. Dont bother wasting your time calling clowns when you can call don smith sewer service. Late night back up! Called Smith’s about 7pm; Pat 33 was here and done before 10pm so I could flush and finish laundry! My total bill for Smith’s was the same as ONLY the after hours service call price for another larger company. Pat was great!

I wont be calling any other company for plumbing needs again! I called a different company, I wont name them here, but they made 2 visits to my house. 1st visit they tried cabling the pipe to clear it. I was told it couldnt be cabled and they needed to use a camera. 1st trip was $60. 2nd trip when they came out, they put a camera in the pipe and said it was too dirty to see anything and they needed to jet the pipe clean and reuse the camera. They told me that would be an additional $1,000. I couldnt do that at the time so they left. Second trip was $320. Im now out $380 and still can use the plumbing. I called Smiths the next day and they came out that same day. Bob and Dave came out. I told them about the visits from the other company, they got their tooling and resolved the issue by cabling the pipe. Exactly what the other company said couldnt be done. Bob and Dave were here a total of 20 minutes and spent more of the time getting the tools, putting them away and paperwork than actually clearing the pipe. Smiths price was $140 and job completed! They saved me over $1,000! Thank you Smiths, but thank you Bob and Dave!!

We had a clog in our kitchen sink. We called another company and they wanted to potentially charge us thousands of dollars to fix! Decided to get a 2nd opinion and I am so glad we did. Aaron came out and took a look and said its just a clog and an easy fix. He didnt try to upsell or add services on that werent necessary. He also informed us when we were done that pipes and things like that need serviced every so often. I was thankful to have a company come in and be 100% honest with us and not try to line their pockets. We will be a repeat customer and will refer them to anyone who needs a sewer company!

Steve and Rob were technicians who came to my home today to jet a mainline. I had a technician the previous day from Roto Rooter who told me he could not unclog the line. Steve immediately asked questions to determine the possible issue and reassured me the problem would be taken care of. He and Rob proceeded to the basement to the drain. Within an hour he had rectified the problem. He also fixed three slow running drains. He sat at my table and explained the charges. We had a talk about what good customer service is and the lack of it in many industries today. He was a great example of good customer service. He takes time to explain, is honest in his communication, efficient in his work and cares about building a relationship for customer retention and satisfaction. Pricing was fair for the job completed. I would highly recommend Steve and Smith’s Sewer Service.

We have now had 2 great experiences with Smiths Sewer Service in less than a month (while not ideal to have to call them twice in one month). First we called them when we heard our floor drain about to back up sewage into our basement on a Saturday. They were able to come out that same day!!! Saved us from getting a hotel room! And the rate they charged was so much more affordable than we thought. We thought for sure on a Saturday we are going to be $1k+ into this mess...and the cost was less than $400! Turns out we had a tree root blocking it. The staff member, Tommy, was informative and polite and very clearly described prices and process ahead of time and warned us that in working with old pipes there are no guarantees.On Monday this week we had to call again after a sink backed up and we couldnt snake it ourselves. They also arrived same day, earlier than they thought they would be able to, and the gentleman (think John?) on site took one look and said we needed to call a plumber that a pipe needed replacing, that paying him wouldnt be worth our time.Their honesty and transparency will make us repeat customers and we already have it on our calendars to call them back for maintenance (this time not on a Saturday) to prevent the tree-root issue again! I have told several people if they have issues they should call Smiths!

Bar sink downstairs was backing up. Couldn’t reach Smith Sewer at first because something was wrong with their phone line. Called a different company. Half a day and $400 later they could not fix the problem. They wanted us to remove a section of the cabinet to access the pipe, which would have been more expense and a hassle. Called Smith Sewer the next day. Doug came out and fixed the problem in two hours and for half the price. He was friendly, polite, and efficient. No cabinet removal necessary. Highly recommend!

Called Smiths this morning for a backed up double-kitchen-sink due to a severely clogged drain pipe and they had a technician out within a few hours. Found out that the job was a little more complicated than we expected due to the original builders very unfortunate plumbing set up. However, the technician was very helpful and went out of his way to solve the problem and was able to fix it within an hour at a VERY fair price. Highly recommend.

I live in MelRay mobile home park and recently I had a root issue. The tech that showed up was incredible!! I believe his name was Brett or Brad. Anyway he worked his tail off. He was unable to resolve the issue as it was very late and has several calls waiting. I told him to take cares of his calls and come back the next day. He arrived the next day on his day off and finally resolved the issues.

Very happy with my experience, especially when Id just been dinged by Clogbusters. Steven and Keith were a knowledgeable team and did well to identify where the issue(s) were and how to fix them. Also, I recommend to anyone to check with Smith Sewer before anywhere else as they charge fair prices. I nearly overspent (again, after spending $1300) by $2100 with Clogbusters but am so glad I called Smiths after I got a strange feeling about that high price.

A few weeks ago I had a clogged drain That I could not fix after over a day of trying. I tried to call a national rooting company that I have used for many years but they could not get to me for a few days. I then got the third party run around when I tried to find a local plumber we fortunately I found Smith. fortunately an hour my drain was cleared and I was told not to put eggshells in the disposal again, who knew?Today My friend called with a clogged drain that he was sure we could fix, in spite of my advice to call Smith. Would give much more than 5 stars if possible. We called Smiths out tonight about 9pm for a sewer problem leaking back up into the house. We were desperate after calling multiple local companies with no luck. They were able to have Jeremy come out to help us, on his night off no less, to get us taken care of. From speaking with him on the phone, to the time he left our home, he was nothing but pleasant and kind. He was informative and helpful in answering all of our questions. We hope not too need services like this again, but without a doubt if we do, Smiths will be our only choice.

Can’t say enough good words about Smith’s Sewer Service. We had a problem with our sump pump backing up and our original plumber advised it was a clogged drain line. He charged a service call and suggested we contact a sewer service. Called Smith’s due to their proximity and length in business. They came out to the house, located the break in pipes for us, double tested the sump pump, and found it still good. They stayed the course of the job, were incredibly thorough, and set us up with a workable by-pass for drainage until we can fix the broken pipe. They gave us resources for the next step. Their charges were more than reasonable. The quality and honesty in service provided was impeccable. I would recommend them over and over. That care in service just doesn’t often happen these days. Roto Rooter fixed my septic / sewer problem for a hefty $1,500. Within 2 months the septic was backed up again. When I tried repeatedly to contact Jim from Roto Rooter in Grimes, I never received a call back. That says a lot about a company standing behind their work.Jeremy from Smiths Sewer came out and found there was a clog in the washing machine drain pipe that connects to the main sewer pipe that had not even been addressed nor had.the main sewer line to the septic been cleaned thoroughly 2 months prior by Roto Rooter.At a more reasonable price, Jeremy from Smiths Sewer fixed my drain problems and even included a 30 day warranty. We had someone out quickly even though at the time the heavy rain was causing issues all over. Since it was late and they had a lot of calls we scheduled a return visit the following day which fixed everything immediately. We had them out again yesterday after noticing a partial block. Smiths has serviced our home twice in the past couple months. Once to unclog a drainage branch to our kitchen sink, and once to unclog the drainage branch to our guest bathroom.Each time I called Smiths in the morning, they were able to get someone out to service our drains just a few hours later. The technicians arrived, assessed the situation, and used their commercial drain snakes to completely clear the affected lines. Our kitchen sink was back in order in less than hour. The guest bathroom was a bit more serious of a problem, involved pulling the toilet off and generated some pretty nasty smells... but everything there was fixed and cleaned up in an hour and half.The technicians were clean, courteous, personal and provided good tips for preventing further issues. Each time they left, you couldnt even tell theyd been there - aside from the working drains!The price seemed great at ~$85 for the kitchen and ~$140 for the bathroom.Ive hired em twice already and would definitely hire them again!

I had been putting off having the floor drain in the basement of my 1914 vintage house checked out and possibly routed because I dont have hundreds of dollars lying around to pay for it. On Monday it got so I couldnt ignore it any more, so I called another local plumber who referred me to Smiths because they dont have the routing equipment for the outside sewer lines and suspected that could be the problem. So Bob from Smiths came out Wednesday afternoon. He was to the point and down to business. He determined my problem was that my hundred foot long main sewer line to the street was obstructed by tree roots and that the floor drain and line were ok. He routed the main, cleaned up and was done in less than an hour. One hour labor plus tax later, I couldnt believe Id waited so long; and from now on when I have plumbing issues, I will be calling Smiths. No relation, btw.

All in all I spent about as much on the do it yourself stuff as I did when Smiths was done.
