I called Roto-Rooter because another company missed their scheduled appointment. Not only were they able to see me same day, but were at my place within 2.5 hours from when I called in the afternoon. The technician was quick, efficient, pleasant, knowledgeable, up front about cost and any additional cost that might pop-up, and took time to talk over preventative maintenance and what I could expect for problems in the future with my particular plumbing layout. Glad to have a great technician (James) and would call again should the need arise.

My mothers main line was clogged up and was starting to back up in her basement. i called and Jiimmy came about a hour an a half later from Columbia and mother lives in Sturgeon so the response time was great! He unclogged everything in a timely manner and was very professional, was nice and thorough. Jimmy made sure very thing was working properly before he left and did not leave a mess behind. He explained the charges before doing any work and also explained the 6 month warranty. I have used Roto-Rooter before and have been very pleased with their service and responsiveness. I had a clog that wouldnt budge after a weekend of using a 50 ft snake and chemicals. I tried dealing with the clog myself one more time to no avail. I decided to call RotoRooter and get a quote. They quickly replied and let me know someone was on their way at my convenience. I gave them my available times and they sent someone right away.That day Mr. James Woods came out to give me a quote. He explained what services I needed and the amount for each as well as why he would recommend them. His thorough explanation coupled with his experience made me feel at ease.I accepted and he began to work. The first thing I noticed was his cleanliness and professionalism. He was polite and made every attempt to keep the work area as clean as possible. He was removing a deep clog which meant he needed to put down tarps and snake the main line. He did so in a timely manner.He also made sure that I knew what was causing the clog. He informed me about his findings which will help me hopefully avoid another issue. When he was done, he cleaned up and it was as if he had never even been there. To me that made the experience much better.Mr. Woods is professional, patient, thorough, and experienced. Tech 922 was amazing. He was very helpful and helped to explain why the back up happened. He cleaned out the back up. He educated me about why the lines need cleaned up after 10 years and the amount of people living at home. He also told me what I need to do. I have a septic tank and hooked up to city. This company is amazing. I have always called them over other companies. I tried to call others and I either get they are busy already or no one answers. Every time I call Roto-Rooter they answer and get someone out every time.

The first people sent out to fix a backed up sewer line did not fix it. A couple days later it backed up into the kitchen and bathroom and the mess and smell were horrible. Luckily they eventually sent someone who really knew what he was doing. It took him hours of hard, dirty work but he got it fixed correctly and we weren’t charged at all for that.

We had a septic line back up on Sunday, Feb. 9. Mike Head showed up from 30 miles away right after he completed a job in that area, within an hour. He was just outstanding. He took care of the problem in the line and was the first person we have ever had come out to work on the line to give us advice on how to take preventative actions. He was truly caring and provided more than just the emergency service, but established a relationship. If ever a problem again, I will call Roto-Rooter and definitely ask for Mike! What I learned was of greater value than the initial call needs. He provided piece of mind!

Brian was courtesy, professional and friendly he assessed the problem provided the cost for services and completed in an hour or less. Brian also mentions to me about the flushable wipes to not put in your toilet as they will cause a backup. I appreciated the information. I wish I could read the name of the technician on my receipt because he was incredibly helpful. Tree roots are evil and he was diligent in making sure he got them out and answered all of our questions in how to help prevent growth and gave us some peace of mind that we really didnt need to spend thousands of dollars to have pipes dug up and assessed. So thankful they were able to come same day as well.

Our service technician showed up in the early evening to work on our floor drain issue. He cleared the line and made sure that the floor drains would no longer back up. While he was here, he noticed that our basement toilet drained slow. He pulled it, cleared out the pipe, and replaced the supply line (which was in desperate need of replacement, unbeknownst to us). After all this, he cleaned up the area, and used disinfectant. We are very satisfied with Roto-Rooter.

The only reason I didnt give 5 stars was because no one discussed price with me until the job was done. I received no estimate. I ended up paying $150 for a clogged garbage disposal that took the gentleman 2 minutes to unclog.

My name is Rebecca. I have a family daycare in an old, old house that has periodic root problems, as well as children mishaps. I had a representative from Roto Rooter come out this morning to unclog the toilet and sewer line. He was very professional, knew exact questions to ask and was able to diagnose the problem before ever beginning the clean out process based on the questions he asked. Although he was there for 3 1/2 hours, we were able to continue with our preschool day uninterrupted. He was very quiet with his work and respectful of the children in the house. I have been using Roto Rooter for the past 20 years and have never had a bad experience with any of the representatives, but I am really impressed with the representative that was here today. The job ended up being a larger job than usual, but he explained what may happen depending on the outcome of the clean out in the yard because of the root situation, therefore I was able to plan accordingly with the children. I really appreciate the professional nature in which he conducted himself and an excellent representative of the company.

James said he has worked with the roto team for roughly 4 years and with the way he worked and knowledge of his job I would have thought he had worked there for over 20 years. They were extremely busy the day I called but the office person said that they would do everything they could to get a tech out to my house that day. They were even able to schedule it after 5pm so I would not have to take time off of work. The tech arrived around 6pm and began working on the drain right away. He was able to get it unclogged and also provided me with preventative measures to avoid having to call them in the future. The fee was within reason but a lot cheaper than other plumbers in town and having the convenience og being to come after 5pm was awesome. If I ever need plumbing services again, Roto-Rooter is first on my list.

Today Brian (#921) came by exactly at the time requested and was fantastic! He got our clogged sewer line clean in no time and then inspected a toilet I thought was leaking on our basement ceiling tiles below and explained the situation to me. He called the office to get a Roto-Rooter plumber to schedule an appt. to remove and cap some non-working pipes from a bidet we removed 15 years ago, which should solve our problem. The thing that astonishes me about Roto-Rooter is not just how fast, competent and friendly they are, but that they have done MAJOR work for us like replacing clay with pvc in our sewer line and did a better job and handled it twice as quickly and easily as other services and plumbers we had hired before, and then they charged less. In Columbia, MO, they cant be beat for ALL your plumbing needs, really.
