    Curtis showed up at the appointed time and immediately got to work on our urgent electrical issue. He was neat and tidy, explained everything super well, and took care of the emergency—on a Saturday morning—right quick. If I were in charge of giving raises—and let’s agree that I should be—I would give Curtis one right away!

    Great company to work with. Professional, honest, neat, get the job done and done right. They don’t cut corners. Had two units installed with multiple heads inside. Have had units almost a year and they perform flawlessly. They are NYSERDA certified, so if there are any rebates available they will work with you to get you the maximum amounts. I would hire them again without hesitation.

    Very satisfied with the service John mills provided. The quote they gave was accurate. There was an issue that they have to do extra work while installing the EV charger. They did not charge me anything above the quoted price. I strongly recommend John mills for installing an EV charger.

    We had a very good experience recently with Curtis from John Mills Electric. We contacted them on a Saturday morning for an emergency call because half our kitchen had lost power. We got a call back within 1/2 hr of leaving a message and Curtis was at our home within a few hours of us reaching out.Curtis was prompt, knowledgeable, detail oriented, and communicative about what problems he found and what was needed to get things working again. He even had time to take care of a few smaller fixes after he got our kitchen power back up. The bill was also surprisingly reasonable considering it was an emergency call.We are quite grateful for the speedy repair and we have already scheduled Curtis to come back for some non-emergency work. Highly Recommended!

    John Mills electric did a superior job replacing our breaker panel. It went from a wiring disaster to wiring perfection. Their crew spent the time talking to us about their progress, explaining each step of their process, and cleaned everything perfectly. We appreciate their time making sure everything worked including our generator system. I highly recommend John mills electric .

    I needed to have some electric work done at my home. I got three prices and decided to go with John Mills Electric. Out of three quotes I received, they were the only one to think outside the box in order to solve my issue (s). Instead of replacing the utility pole in my yard and having to worry about the placement of the guy wire, I decided (after speaking with Jason Mills) to have them move the electric to the side of the house. I also decided to have them upgrade my service to 200 amp and to get electricity to my garage (garage electric stopped working about 3 years ago). The ideas and pricing presented made sense, and all the work was completed in 3 days. Devon and Max (who completed the work) were friendly and professional- and were so helpful. From the price quotes to the work completed, everything was seamless. I would highly recommend them.

    We had them bond/ ground our above ground pool as well run electric out to the pool for the pump, heater, and auxiliary outlets from the house. Devin and Max did a great job and took time to explain the plan before starting as well as explaining everything before leaving when the project was done. I would highly recommend them and would use them again for future projects.

    Awesome company and very relieved to find an extremely reliable, great electric contractor service. From the first evaluation of service needs to the finish, we know there’s no better service out there! We received an estimate within days of contacting them and a week later the work was done. Unheard of. We live in Cortland and they are expanding to this area. (We got 2 prior evaluations/estimates from local companies and for whatever reason, they were very condescending and haughty. Didn’t listen to what we really wanted and needed.) These will be our forever electricians going forward. Very skilled and professional. HUGE shoutout to Jason & Curtis!!

    Our home electric system was destroyed by a lightning, strike on the transformer just across the road. It burned through our Electric panel. The electricians at John Mills Electric worked all day to get us safely back online with electricity by the end of the day. They didn’t leave until the job was done just before 8 PM. This team is conscientious and hard-working. I would use them again without hesitation.

    Woke up to no electricity in my bedroom. Could not get circuit breaker to re-set. Called John Mills Electric and then sent Devin up. He was there in less than an hour and not only fixed that but put in a new outlet in the basement and fixed the outlet in the bathroom. He was very pleasant and efficient. I had used John Mills electric years ago when I managed horse shows at the Chemung Co Fairgrounds. They worked many hours putting in electricity to tents which housed an overflow of horses. I would highly recommend their services.

    Had an EV charger installed and new fuse box. Crew was friendly and knowledgeable. The creativity that they put into this job was amazing. Can’t see any wires and didn’t have to use any conduit. They were able to hide everything. As well, they were neat and tidy and cleaned up everything when they were done.

When the two technicians arrived, they were very professional and courteous. They were friendly and listened to what I had to say.     Mills replaced my power feed, main panel, and subpanel on Wednesday. They arrived 10 mins early and didnt stop till the power was on. Curtis, Devin, and Max did a professional and neat work. They answered all my questions and helped me to understand my new system. The job was fairly extensive - requiring NYSEG to raise the cables to the home. Power was off about 5 hours. When they left, everything was working perfectly - just like they promised. It was great working with Mills through the whole process - Jason, the instalation techs, the inspector, and NYSEG.

    We lost half of our electric in our home during the bad wind/snow storm mid January. We called NYSEG to report and get it fixed, and it took 2 days to get them here due to the severe outages all over this area. We at least had furnace, refrigerator, hot water and lights in one room. The first NYSEG guy wanted to shut us off completely as the wires were so bad we were very fortunate we did not have a fire and lose the house. He left and not 5 minutes later another NYSEG crew appeared and was able to temporarily “fix” the electric with us signing a waiver for 2 weeks to get this repaired. The first company suggested we call was very unresponsive. I then remembered that my step daughter’s friend Amy worked at John Mills Electric. We called and Jason came right out that same day, explained what we needed, gave us a quote. We paid a down payment and got scheduled within 10 days. The two guys from John Mills Electric came this morning on time at 8am, worked for 4 hours to remove the old meter and wires and circuit board, and replaced and upgraded our electric. They showed me just how bad the wires were and how close were were to having a fire and losing our home. We are extremely satisfied with the courtesy, professional work by this company and would very highly recommend them.
